2. Only in America......are there handicap parking places in front of a

3. Only in America......do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the

cigarettes at the front.
4. Only in America......do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries,

5. Only in America......do banks leave both doors open and then chain the

6. Only in America......do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the

Because it's easier to steal "useless" junk than it is a car. Plus, the insurance company will more likely replace your car than your 15 year old drill.

Considering the basis of your other posts this one does not surprise me. When you actually grow up and "get" how things in life are you will appreciate this country and what it stands for. Lest you forget all the people who have died through the decades to give YOU the freedom to sit here and say this country sucks ass. You have a lot to learn. :(

well its not. i hate america. people are bitching at me because of all the soldiers who have died for our freedom. if i'd said i hated the beatles and someone bitched me because they were the most successful band ever, then i dont see the difference. one is more serious than the other but the criticism is equal. and from what ive seen nannyperson post in this thread it seems like she IS saying i cant hate america.

There's a big difference between people dying for our country and music!
Anyways, in what ways is our country not letting YOU express yourself?

Thats why i said one is more serious than the other but the critisism is equal.
And i think its stupid how we can say absolutely whatever we want without getting in trouble with the government but its illegal to say that you want the president to die. its because in case youre planning on killing him but thats just being too strict, unless you actually THREATEN to kill him then its stupid to get in trouble for saying it. plus if someone says tehy want the president to die its THEIR opinion. people always talk about how they want celebrities to die and its their opinion just as much as it is with the president.

It's free for a reason. She certainly didn't contribute to it being that way. People died to give her the freedom she thinks she has to bash this country. Perhaps when someone she is close to is called to war and gives their life there she'll change her attitude. It shouldn't take that but whatever.

Sure there are a few kinks here and there with politicians...and monopolies who are running this country. But you know what you have shoes on your feet, a meal every day, Job opportunities, education opportunities, you CAN live not the American Dream but the GLOBAL Dream! I've lived in another country, a third world country, and I am sad to say that I have seen what dirt poor really means, not first hand but all around me. How dare you complain? Rejoice the fact that you don't have to be forced into hard labor at the age of 5, the fact that there is a welfare plan and charities for everything. That you have a car, or a phone, or a cell phone. That you live in a home that is not being held up by mud.
It just gets on my nerves how people can complain about something, when they have no idea how fertile or "green" the grass really is on the other side!

Ok here is a little fact for you: You can't complain about something you refuse to resolve or at least try to help.
For example if you have a bug problem in your house and constantly complain about it and refuse to kill any of the bugs yourself let alone call an exterminator...than what right do you have to complain about a problem that you won't even attempt to try and fix?
And please try to give me a somewhat intellegent response to my question, and not just "I am justified to my opinion!"

You're not just stating a few facts there hon, you are basically criticizing an entire country. One that, which I might point out, you LIVE in and that your possible future children, family and friends live in.
So in response to your last statement or as you like to call them facts (which by the way you don't seem to know the difference between a fact and an opinion. Because you said "So i cant state a few facts.." actually those were OPINIONS), it should "bother" you what goes on in the country. You are welcome and have every right to point out the problems...but what good is pointing them out if you really "don't care" what happens to the nation, your state, city or home anyways?

The phrase is Christ's Sake. It's NOT steak. It's sake. You said you say steak (which makes no sense but whatever) as if it's complete fact and that you aren't saying the expression (which isn't all that nice to say anyhow) wrong. You are just like Solomon. You think your opinions or anything you say is fact and true when it is not.
That is what I meant.

Yes, I've evolved quite a bit during my stay here at Sitcoms Online. I was 14 when I first signed up here and I'm 17 now. I still like Facts of Life, I was watching my tapes a couple weeks ago actually. I don't know why I was so obsessive over Avril though, embarrassing.

BTW, you are lucky that you have some FOL tapes, I haven't seen that in years. I guess I can call myself a "fan" as well.
JoJoJoJoJoJoJoJoJo 01-26-2004, 09:05 PM Ya know it's so funny...
Here, people bitch about how American sucks, and what happens to them? Nothing. People died for them to have the right to say that. And that's fine. They have a right to their own thinking.
In Iraq a man's tounge got cut off because he said negative things about Saddam.
I don't really see what people can say "America Sucks." Those who say that, the "facts" that you say you base them on.. please list them.
Thank you.

Damn... you are freaking annoying. You CONSTANTLY belittle us because we are teenagers, it's not our fault because you are a mother, and so damn old.
At least when I'm as old as you, I won't be arguing with teenagers unless they are my kids.

I dont have a problem with most teenagers - if I did I wouldn't work where I Work. But there are some kids on here that drive me nuts with their attitudes. You aren't one of them (at least you weren't until you made this post).

It's not everyone, it's just a select few and it's after reading post after post of certain subjects. There are a lot of people ON this board that I like reading about that I KNOW are teenagers but they don't act it.
I dont have a lot of time (on a normal day) to be at a message board so normally this stuff passes by me. But I'm off work today so I happened to be reading all of this and it really irritated me.
I dont sit here amd wait for teenagers to post. I'm usually busy working with them.

About the "age factor" ... I too am a teenager... I believe though that I am a mature teenager... some teenagers can still act like they are about 5 years old & some act like they are 28 years old... For gosh's SAKE act your age and no one will complain. I am going to quit posting on this topic and maybe if you don't want anyone to get mad at you, you'll do the same...

I haven't read this entire post, but I think I know what's going on, and you're right. We shouldn't be fighting, especially because we don't know each other in real life, so we don't know what's going on in each other's lives.

Technically people cant help how mature they are. they can help it if theyre being stupid and immature on purpose, but maturing is natural. i think im pretty immature and whenever i say something that nanny fine finds rude, she tells me that i have a lot to learn, i'll understand more when i grow up, etc. Plus she accuses me of trying to be a badass, wtf is up with that?

1. Because there are 40 year olds who are more immature than a 12 year old.
2. And age has nothing to do with it. If you grow up thinking that, you'll think that way for the rest of your life.

Second, no one asked for an opinion as to whether or not you liked America. It was a joke, meant for laughter. Not for you to proclaim your trendy punk rock anarchy.
