WAYYYYY back in novemeber we did a trade of perfect strangers tapes. I sent her some and she sent me some. I received them just fine. I went to watch them and the 2nd tape had NO sound whatsoever. I emailed her and asked if I could mail them back to her (along with the first one because my 2 year old recorded over the last 2 one the first tape) so that she could re-record them and ship them back to me. I paid for shipping back to her and offered to pay for shipping back to me, but she said it was not nessesary, and that she would re-record them for me.
Time went by, Finally Chirstmas came and went and I did not receive any tapes back. I emailed her and emailed and emailed her and she was basically ignoreing my emails. I finally got an email from her on the 27th of Dec. and it stated that she was busy and that I cshould understand and that she would mail them out that week.
I have now waited 3 WEEKS and have emailed her and asked if they have been sent and which way she emailed them and if she put delivery confirmation on it. Of course I got NO response, and still no tapes! Now maybe I am wrong and she did send them but via media mail as an attempt to get back at me (for what I dont know because it was her mistake) so they are going to take alot longer to get here.
Never the less weather she mailed them or not, she is a BAD buisness woman, she is rude, she is VERY slow, and the only way i can get her to email me is if I send her 50 emails within an hour. Basically bug her to death. But now she is not even doing that!
NO ONE trade with her!! I hope everyone takes my advise and stays away from here so you do not have to deal with everything that I had to. It is obvious that she has some major issues and she has no buisness doing trades!!!

I know of other people that got crap copies to,that havnt even posted.

I noticed that both William's and Pam's websites have been closed down. I doubt he/she will be using these past aliases again, which should make us all leery of where he/she will pop up again.

Pam Maples of Loudon, TN is a big phony! She also goes by loudonslim@hotmail.com. I ordered Gilmore Girls tapes from her in November for $100. She said her husband signed for my check and that she shipped them December 21st. It took for ever for her to even say she did this. I constantly emailed her asking her when she was going to be sending them. She would always say she cannot make it to the post office easily or that she is traveling. Even if she was "traveling," every city has a post office. I emailed her again two weeks ago and she said she did send them and she is not a liar and that she would contact the post office and see what happened and then resend the tapes. I have emailed her several times since and she just ignores the emails. Please don't get suckered by her, she's a huge scam artist! DO NOT BUY FROM HER!!! hey, what can you do? after you know that they have lied and stole and will do it again to someone else. What can you do? report them here. But they can come in another name and ID. I travel full time and I get my tapes shipped to and from all kinds of places and cities. So, I have been burnt in the past few months. Now, in the future I'm going to be really close to the address of a person who burnt me. Tee hee... I guess I'm not the only one that thinks this way. My mother worked for an airline and can fly for just a few bucks, and I've been tempted to have her stop by a certain bad trader's house who lives in Marysville, Washington. We have relatives who live near her, so it is quite feasible. :D :D

My mom would do it, too, because once I did the same for her, in a similar situation. :D

he doesn't know who Pamela is , his name is Paul, he is divorced and has a 6 year old daughter. 5 months back his brother William and his sister in law Samantha lived in the house, now he lives there. Claimed he never got my money *zzzzzz*

In fact, the REAL name of this person is Pamela Maples, LOUDON, TN. Bradshaw Rd. Also one of her aliases modelcarbuilder and lots of others mentioned before. :rolleyes:

i was suppose to set up a trade with pam, for her complete set of different strokes for my passions tapes. have not heard anything from her since last month. glad she backed out of the trade if its the same person.

I was suppose to trade her for 2 tapes of 21 Jumpstreet. I got my tapes done, we had exchanged addresses and when I asked her when she would be sending her's I never got a reply after numerous emails I gave up. I have heard from her one more than one occasion under different names and emails but always the same address in Loudon, TN. I have also seen alot of other posts about her on other sites.

This one was interesting. It was started by lovetvclassics (isn't their aliases?) and asked people to list bad traders as a service. The loudonslim name came up, and here is the reply by beatyp:

There's a few interesting ones where they answer themselves about needing quality tapes, etc. Very entertaining! There was also another where one alias actually oudid another in price and qulity - funny stuff!

And they even badmouthed themselves once:

This does not surprise me as I have watched dawsonscreekfan do this type of thing on trading boards. Since I became aware of her shenanigans, I've watched her from afar. She's one of the first to pounce on a bad trader post, which is rather ironic, wouldn't you say? :crazy:

I was searching a LOT of trading boards looking for 4 eps of Degrassi TNG that my tape got ruined - they were clip shows run over the summer, and preview for the new season - they may have only been run on Noggin, but they're not re-running them. (I ultimately found someone to trade with)

Anyway, I keep seeing their aliases coming up over and over on just about any kind of trading board you can find.

As dawsonscreekfan was advertising the eps I needed, I decided to do a search, and came across all those posts I mentioned above.

The one about her computer being down, etc. is from a message board for fans of a romance novelist, and I found on another board they are now selling romance novels.

Guess they figure that we all know enough about them to know not to deal with them so they've moved on.......

I see their aliases also have global EZ Board identities, so that makes it easy to move from one to another. Just like a certain person who advertised heavily all over many many boards I belong to about wanting to trade, yet never answered the several e-mails I sent. I'm glad, tho, because I saw someone on these boards say that the tapes are poor quality, so I guess it worked out in the end.

A reputable trader on this board who has not yet commented on the subject publicly, contacted me that she'd been recently ripped off by Pam Maples, too.

I think that one of the methods Pam used to acquire the trust of people here was to use an alternative ID, so when Loudonslim (one of her aliases) was being exposed, dawsonscreekfan (another alias) came in and bad mouthed him, leading others to believe that she was a different person, not to mention her vast collection of shows, which gives one the impression that she's been trading for a long time and trustworthy.

Here's heads up...If Pam reacts like she has done in the past, she has already acquired a new ID, and possibly already bad mouthed dawsonscreekfan (herself).

The trick here is to remember the name of her town:

Loudon, Tennessee

It would be wise to check a map when trading with anyone in Tennessee; however, with the amount of money that Pam seems to have gotten away with, she has plenty of money for moving expenses and may very well pop up somewhere else. :eek:

I will finally comment on this issue, I traded with Pam for 1 ep of Melrose PLace and I gave her some rare Grady Shows. The trade went perfectly and was quick. I guess I got lucky here. She was actually very easy to deal with and a pleasure, my how times have changed based on these posts, WOW>

This isn't surprising as from what I have observed, bad traders typically target newbies or those less well known. When another bad trader was being exposed, one wise trader aptly stated:

"A smart scammer would make a few good trades with the most respected peeps on the boards and then prey upon smaller less well known ones."

The Boston Strangler was a shoe salesman, and I'm sure he didn't rape and kill all of the women he tried shoes on. By the same token, a bad trader doesn't rip off all traders she encounters, just a select few.

ML21, I hear you, as I'm sure do most on this board. Pam Maples has proven herself untrustworthy, and that's enough for most to stay clear of her. I don't think Pam's going to be raking in much dough any time soon, except from perhaps newbies.

Apologize for not amusing you. I just posted my own experience and my astonishment at how different it was compared to a lot of others. I hate traders who rip people off, having had that issue with Ragstoriches@aol.com .

Someone recently asked me if I know for sure that lovetvclassics is Pam Maples, and I am wondering if you could post links as proof of this. I don't doubt you; I just don't like to simply take someone's word on something like this without concrete documentation.

I remember seeing that listed as one of her aliases on another site - if I can find it again I'll post a link - lovetvclassics is heavily on Sweet Valley, My Little Pony, and another show's boards I can't think of off the top of my head right now. I have seen many other people complain that they had bad dealings with those same tv shows with the many aliases of Pam Maples.

And I tried to access their book website, and it's "closed for inventory".

That's all I could find - no exact definitave proof (would be nice if could see that post off the ez board thing) - but again it could be 2 different people - sometimes the "L" is capiatal, sometimes not, and sometimes they reference being in Canada,sometimes not - but on one of the quotes I posted awhile back, where 2 confirmed identities post, one says something about having tapes held up in customs, yet we know she lives in US. Weird.

What also really kills me is on that one link, how many people still wanted to buy stuff, despite repeated warnings.

Also these same people all seem to be rotating around the same couple boards.....

But it is possible, given past history, that Pam is just trying to get even with lovetvclassics for saying something bad, and ALTHOUGH I HAVE NO PROOF - JUST MAKING AN OBSERVATION - could have even feasibly registered somewhere under that name just to get even and confuse people - again, no proof whatsoever, just an observation, considering that it appears from all the links that Pam likes to play games.

Just don't send anything or do business with a trade from Tennessee. Period. The odds of another trader here on the boards in Tennessee is too great. Ask the trader for their address. If you get Tennessee, forget it and bail out. Take your chances and get burned. I personally have never dealt with this person(s) but I won't be shipping off any stuff to that State either. I had TJ check the ISP on Pam Maples' aliases, and apparently on this board and possibly others lovetvclassics is a legitimate person from Canada using the email address ehnon_jess@hotmail.com. In fact lovetvclassics was burned awhile back by Pam Maples/William Maples/Pam Beaty/or whatever she chooses to call herself.

By the way, thanks for doing all of that research, funky-rat, but from what it appears, all of those posts are the trader from Canada, though I wouldn't put it past Pam to assume the same name out of spite. Just be safe and beware of Tennessee traders. :wave:

Changing I.D.'s, emails, and even names (i.e. switching to your maiden name, etc.) is too easy. Whether or not Pam also uses the alias "lovetvclassics" really isn't the main issue. The main issue is to not send money or tapes to anyone living in or near Loudon, Tennessee.

There's no real proof that it's a different person unless she can proof it...and it's indeed strange that she first asked Maples if she's a frauder and after this she alleged she got ripped off by her. Yeah that ragstoriches is a bad one. You won't believe the stuff I found on him. He now uses the name Joe and a an email gothamaster@aol.com or something like that. One of the things that made me mad about that bad trader is that they are a moderator of a yahoo disney trade group.
