SJP1313 12-28-2003, 07:06 PM I think its all really. And thats what makes is SOOOOO scary! Real life is sometimes stranger than fiction! UM is living proof of that! SJP1313 12-28-2003, 07:07 PM OOOPS I think it all REAL not really! sorry! my mistake SJP1313 12-28-2003, 07:09 PM Tonight is apparently not my night for typing. WHAT I MEANT WAS : I think its all REAL. Thats what makes it soooo scary! Afterall the truth is stranger than fiction! There we go! I got it this time. I Love Carol Burnett! 12-29-2003, 08:31 AM I don't like that stuff about ghosts and kidnapping thats really freaky! What really freaked me out was the other night about Elivis. UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Brent88 12-29-2003, 09:19 AM It's only scary to me if I watch it late at night. I Love Carol Burnett! 12-29-2003, 10:08 AM Yea its freaky to watch @ night Brent88 12-29-2003, 11:00 AM Maybe I should rephrase that... when it's after 10 or 11pm and everyone is asleep but me. I couldn't watch it a few weeks ago at 1am because it was too scary. I Love Carol Burnett! 12-29-2003, 11:45 AM LOL! FanfromES 01-02-2004, 05:35 PM For me the scariest part is to see those creepy re-enactments and stories and knowing they really happened. And dont forget the sketches and age progression photos Zero 01-02-2004, 10:50 PM I think the scariest thing I've ever seen on UM, was a composite drawing of a man caught on tape who murdered a store clerk in Los Angeles. The images the camera captured were not the greatest so the artist did the best he could. If you guys ever seen it you'd remember the eyes. *quivers* Composite Sketch 01-02-2004, 11:19 PM Was that from the segment about the computer program that helped police in getting clues from security videotape? If so, I saw that case just two weeks ago. And I agree, those eyes..... and he's still out there. Brent88 01-02-2004, 11:25 PM Sometimes when they show a picture of a murder victim I get just horrified. Last Saturday Night's episode had this spooky picture of Donna Badillo(sp?) where her apartment was set on fire, anyway, that picture of her was very spooky and they showed it several times. I guess it was so scary because it was 1am in the morning. gaf 01-04-2004, 01:03 PM I can't think of anything about UM that ISN'T scary. I even find that white, sans sarif type they use during the closing credits and throughout the show when they're identifying the speaker to be creepy. That was during the earlier seasons. Now the type isn't as bad. When UM aired on NBC, the person who said the, "This program is about unsolved mysteries. Whenever possible, the actual family members and police officials have participated in recreating the events. What you are about to see is not a news broadcast" was a man's voice, wasn't it? His voice was creepy too. Not nearly as creepy as Robert Stack's, but still. The woman's voice on Lifetime, while definitely not soothing, isn't as scary. Brent88 01-04-2004, 01:24 PM You got that right, Gaf. I remember the male voice and it was a low, spooky voice. I seem to remember some Lifetime episodes a few years back with the male voice, but I have yet to find it. Mr. Roboto 01-04-2004, 09:25 PM Heh. I want to know which cases you've seen. If you haven't seen the Rachael Runyan, Son of Sam, or Winnebago Murder cases, you're in for a shock. gaf 01-05-2004, 01:36 PM Has Lifetime shown the Winnebago murders? That's another case I've only seen when it first aired. So glad it's been solved. I always seem to catch the same segments over and over again on Lifetime. Still watch them though! gaf 01-05-2004, 02:18 PM I meant has Lifetime shown that case recently. I gather from the comments on this site that Lifetime has shown it, but I haven't seen it. cobra_commander 01-22-2004, 05:51 AM they have, but not recently. Evadual 01-31-2004, 10:45 PM The episode where a guy is standing around in front some little shack that had smoke coming from it while he was looking right at the camera. I kinda thought that was a scary episode. I haven't seen it in a long time so my memory of it isn't that great, but I think a kid died in the little shack, this was in the 70's, I think it was. I know some of you guys know which episdoe it is. I don't recall the names of the two boys who died, but I recall that it happened in Arizona in 1974. Despite claims by the authorities that the deaths were accidental, it is very clear that it was murder. It doesn't surprise me that the case remains unsolved, especially since the case was mishandled. Some potential evidence has long since been lost or destroyed. A young couple claimed to have seen an unkown man at the shack as it was burning, but they believed that their past brushes with the law caused the cops to disregard that claim. Brent88 02-01-2004, 01:13 AM I remember that story from Early November right before Lifetime took it off the last time. Very spooky case. That episode also had a bank robbery where 3 security guards were shot to death, execution style. The intro alone was very scary to that one! cobra_commander 02-01-2004, 01:24 AM this case has prolly been talked about to death, but the one where the arsonist made the video of the house he burnt was hella creepy. he talked on the video in a raspy voice, and then sadistically laughed slowly at the end.... *shudders* that one caused many a nightmare for a certain 6-7 year old back in the day. *;)* |
