I am so sick of this!

I am so sick of the heathens where I live!

First they dig through the dumpsters taking stuff I've thrown away.

Then they break into my shed and steal the burned items from my car fire (camcorder, work bags, purse)...

and NOW THEY STOLE MY DAUGHTERS BRAND NEW BIKE.

She got a bike for Christmas - someone donated it to her anonymously from Santa. It was IN MY SHED with a lock. THEY CUT THROUGH THE WIRING in between the sheds and TOOK IT. She doesn't even know - I am so upset I dont know whether to cry or be angry. The cops came out and took a report the first time it happened but they didn't even file it, it wasn't in the paper or anything.

I am so upset :(

(I JUST found this out, I was taking garbage to the dumpster and walked past the sheds.)

That's terrible. I hope you get your daughter's bike back, and I hope the theives get what's coming to them....like a big bike crash and a broken arm.

The shed by mine is empty with no lock on it. There is no way to find out who did it. Probably the same jerks who stole my burned stuff. :(

no nosey neighbors heard or saw anything?

did any of your neighbors get ripped off, or do you think maybe someone saw you put the bike/other stuff in there?

I think they know I put it in there. I dont live in the best housing situation but it's where I have to live for the time being.

These kids around here are put outside in the morning and dont go in until night. Kids that are barely out of diapers outside playing by themselves, with no supervision. I dont know why I'm so surprised or upset - it's typical for how things are here.

There is a grocery store that drops off the day past expired bread from their store each weekend. These kids go and make bread bombs from those things - throwing them off the top of the mail center, jumping on them, making a horrible mess. There is never anyone to supervise them or tell them they are wrong. It's so sad but this was one of my daughters Christmas presents for God sake :(

I did when it happened a couple of weeks ago and they did nothing. I'm telling you it's expected that stuff like this goes on here and no one does a thing to rectify it. Not the cops, not the housing authority, no one.

You should put something else in the shed, and then keep watching it..They're bound to come back. Then you can catch them and beat the living hell out of them:)

No, what you do is put something in there like Tim said, and put crazy glue all over the handles and put some tacks in too. :) Or you can buy a dummy and make it look like a dead person so when they go in there, theyre scared s***less.

The police might buy you another bike if you tell them about the situation and how it was her Christmas gift.

That sucks. I hope they catch who did it. It's a shame someone would go through all that trouble of breaking through a lock to steal a little girls bike.

I hate thieves! I hope your daughter gets her bike- nothing gets me annoyed more than innocent people being robbed. Last year my brother had £700 worth of music equipment stolen and a few years before that my bike was stolen. Thieves need to get longer sentences, in the UK now judges are encouraged to give people found guilty of theft less (or no) sentences- because the jails are full. Criminals are getting away too easy now

Im sorry :(

When I was 7 or 8, I had my bike stolen. It was in my garage, and they just took it. Well, a week later, after basically the whole block knew about my missing bike, they found it. It was in another kid's garage =-/

Little rebel kids get on my nerves

I think that some of you guys are forgetting that these a bratty, punk kids, not convicted criminals. They're obviously not going to be arrested regardless of how mean it was. Maybe you should try calling their parents. Also, if they live right by you, won't you see them riding the bike?

When my friends would steal bikes(not me, of course;) ) they'd paint them so they could ride them around and not get caught.

I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter's bike. The human race really disgusts me at times. My mother wonders why I prefer the company of my dog over most people.

What you should do is wait for the lil bastards to ride by on it, then push them over and run off with it.

See, this is why people shouldn't have children in the first place. It's bad enough having to deal with them, but then you buy them expensive things and something happens to ruin it.

I'm really sorry to hear about this too! :( On behalf of someone who has had five bikes stolen myself, (not including the bikes of family members that have been stolen), I can unfortunately say that I understand your frustration. The last bike of mine that got stolen was last year, around Thanksgiving time. For some reason alot of bad seems to come out of people near the Holidays.

If you have a video camera, you might want to try catching these little buggers on tape. I don't know how close your house is to your shed, but it sounds like that might be the only way you'll catch them. These guy's usually seem to hit in the late late night hours when everyone's asleep, so nobody see's anything. Whatever you do though, don't try to catch them yourself by hiding out in the shed! For all you know it could be an adult doing this, or a bunch of punk teenagers. I know alot of adults in my area are stealing bikes, and selling them for drug money, so just please be careful whatever you decide to do! In the meantime, just watch the kids in your neighborhood carefully. There's a good chance you'll catch one of them riding your daughter's bike.

Anyway, if you're ever in the Portland area, let me know. I have an extra bike now, and would be happy to give it to your daughter.:)

I've never had my bike stolen. :D

Anyway, to Nanny Fine, I really hope some good can come out of this. :( I am really sorry that had to happen. ohno:

No no you have to chuck something(like a big stick) in the wheel so they go flying off of it. Its so funny to see.

I've actually done that once to someone I didn't like when I was younger- I don't think I meant for it to get caught in the wheel- but people flying of bikes like that is pretty funny.

As for kids stealing- a few months ago people moved in next to me and all the men in the family have practically been convicted! But the youngestb kids were worst! There was a 15 year old and the first day in a neighbour saw him drinking alcohol in the house! Anyway- the youngest was like 6 (though he looked about 10) and every time he did sumthing wrong it was put down to 'not knowing any better' or 'being hyper'- he just lifted everything- he was always caught before. One day I caught him and 4 other neighbourhood thugs going into my neighbours garden stealing brand new golf clubs- he put them back in when I saw him and the neighbour locked the garage. But later that day the neighbours other garage was broken into and fishing gear all gone- and in private, to his friends the kid said he did it- when he was confronted about admitting it to his friends- he says his friends made him say he did it. he changed his story a million times and nothing was done even when the police were called. But when the dad (just 1 day out of jail I might add) heard his son'd been accused of stealing he started a fight- which led to their eviction! I was so glad- I hated them, one night the little kid was throwing bricks at my dog! I lifted the bricks and tossed them back at him (but missed unfortunately). Everyday people feared they couldn't leave doors open- and for the first few weeks the family's friends were coming to other peoples doors in the street at night drunk, thinking they were at the right doors- and almost smashed peoples windows. I really hate crime- everyone in the street complained tonnes of times to the person renting the house to them- he claimed he'd done a check before letting them in.

Anyway- criminals are evil.

I am so so sorry that someone stole your daughters bike. I know how hard it is trying to provide for your children but to have someone take it away is unforgiveable. I bought my daughter and son a bike for Christmas and they always ask me can they ride it to the store. I tell them no because i'm afraid someone will steal it. Again i'm sorry that it happened and I hope they find out who did it.
