At the start of the show he was 13 (born 1976) but he looked like 18!!! I think it must be the height.

In one episode I learned that Eddie's birth date was January 28, 1974. Darius McCrary, who played Eddie, was born May 1, 1976, so they probably aged him somewhat.

That's not uncommon to use actors on their looks and not their actual age. That Monkhouse chick was well in her 20's playing a high school kid after Urkel!

She played she was around age 20 in the Cosby show dating Theo then she comes along and plays Steve Urkles girlfriend and age 18 again, when she played on the Cosby show in 1989-1990 or something like that.

At the end of the show Eddie looked 30-35 years old......

He was very tall and DID have an old face...and not as good looking as Eddie thought he was, IMO.

Believe it or not, Kellie Williams is really older than Darius McCrary.

And despite being Harriet's younger sister, Thelma Hopkins is older than JoMarie Payton.

Both. According to IMDB, Eddie is 6'3" and Carl is 5'8". I am not sure how accurate IMDB is because Sasha Mitchell is also listed as 6'3" and he looks quite a bit taller than Eddie. Either Eddie is 6'1" or Sasha is 6'5".
