Hyacinth tries to, among other things, get Richard to play Father Christmas at a parish Christmas party, keep her father from getting into trouble at the same party, arrange a "Boxing Day candlelight supper," and invite Richard's boss and his wife for "mulled wine and hot mince pies." But Richard gets pissed (drunk, as we say in the Colonies), Elizabeth tries to play Father Christmas for him, Hyacinth tries to keep her poorer relations out of sight and out of mind, and. . . well, you ought to see it yourself!
