Betty White ("Golden Girls," "Mary Tyler Moore") to Guest Star on
ABC's Multiple Emmy Award-Winning Drama, "The Practice
Betty White ("Golden Girls," "Mary Tyler Moore") will guest-star in an upcoming three-episode arc on the ABC Television Network's hit drama, "The Practice." White will play Carol Piper, a nosy neighbor from Alan Shore's hometown, where he has returned to defend a childhood friend accused of murder. The three episodes in which White will guest-star, the first of which is entitled "Going Home," have not yet been assigned airdates.
The multiple Emmy Award-winning series from renowned writer/producer David E. Kelley is now in its eighth season. "The Practice" has earned, in addition to its Emmys, a Golden Globe Award for Best Drama Series, a Peabody Award, a Viewers for Quality Television Award and an American Bar Association Silver Gavel Award, among many others.
"The Practice" stars Michael Badalucco as Jimmy Berluti, Jessica Capshaw as Jamie Stringer, Steve Harris as Eugene Young, Camryn Manheim as Ellenor Frutt, Rhona Mitra as Tara Wilson, and James Spader as Alan Shore.
"The Practice" was created by David E. Kelley. Mr. Kelley and Robert Breech are executive producers. The series, which premiered on March 4, 1997, is produced by David E. Kelley Productions in association with Twentieth Century Fox Television.
The series is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound.
