I took a shower last night & when my hair dries, it dries REALLY curly, so I had to straighten it...Regular curling irons don't do the job for me, so I had to buy a professional flat iron when I got my hair cut last month...It does the job REALLY well. Anyhoo. I was finished straightening my hair last night, and went to turn it off and to stand it up (it was on its side), and I burned my left index finger on the hot edge! YEOWCH!!!!! So now I have burn cream and two bandaids on my finger...Ouch. :eek: Fortunately, I'm a righty, so it doesn't affect my writing. :D

Don't know where this year is going. We've been very fortunate to be working so hard, seeing beautiful countryside where the leaves are changing. The kids have gone back to school, the tourists have all gone home and selfishly, when we do get back home, we have the beach all to ourselves again. Fall is probably my favorite time of the year.

It's so hard to stay disciplined on the road. I've found the thing I crave most is a piece of fresh fruit and some low fat cottage cheese. When I get home again, it's a different story, because you know I love to cook. My fall offering is a wonderful old world soup. When the kids were small, we had a lovely German housekeeper. It was a treat when she cooked for us. This is one of her recipes that I learned. Love it with a big piece of cornbread! Enjoy!
