I was bored and tired of not having a sig anymore. It's from Young Frankenstein, taken from Terri Garr's line at the beginning of the movie.

 It hasn't snowed for a while! I think it's snowed maybe 3 or 4 times so far, and it's still technically fall. It's currently about 45 degrees outside (I haven't checked my local forecast yet) and the snow's starting to melt! Keep in mind that this is November 30th and it's VERY rare for something like that to happen way up north...In '97, I remember we had NO snow on the ground for Christmas and I was sooooo happy!! (When you've lived up north all your life, you get sick of snow)

OK, the spelling in the credits is "Landesberg", but some sources insist it's "-burg".

Trouble with me is, I don't want to sound like an absolute gushy fangirl freak -- which, unfortunately, is a legitimate concern. :(

Well, that's how I felt when I wrote to Patrick Swayze in junior high. I almost didn't, but I had to take a chance. It's been 15 years and I still haven't heard from him. Still, it was worth it. :(

When I wrote to Tracey Ullman and John Henson, I made sure not to sound like a fangirl. Got a picture back from Tracey within two weeks, and in one week I had a picture AND a letter from John! It just depends, I suppose.

It's not bad at all! The fact that they haven't taken if away is what makes me happy. Thank you Nick at Nite! :notworthy :)

At first all I could see were the castmembers, sort of like I was in the audience only everything around them was black. Then John's picture floated up above them and he was smiling. It got quiet, then all of a sudden I'm in one of their episodes. Lots of laughing and Katey Segal was like, "We're so happy you could be a part of this. John would've liked it." I woke up after that. When she said that, it was like she was grateful that one of his fans was there because it meant that he wasn't forgotten. :(

Yes, but it didn't last for very long. Only felt like 10 minutes at the most.

I thought so, too. And it felt very real, so of course it stayed on my mind for the rest of the day. Gah, I know. Most days I don't think about it, but something will hit and I'll be like...how could it have been 3 months already? :crying:

It's like looking at the real people, only their little cartoons. It's cute! Never been a big Mama's Family fan, not since I was a kid anyway, but that picture would be nice.

Same here. Gah. I remember when they had the tribute commercials to him on N@N and TVL. It was so hard not to cry every time I saw one. :(

 Exactly! Now you know what Mama looks like as a cartoon character. :D It reminds me of all those celebs that star as themselves on The Simpsons...you get to see what they look like in cartoon form.

Like this...Cheers in cartoon form on The Simpsons!

The music made it all the more touching, I think. When they put the shows back on after each commercial, I was fine. But every time another one came on, I was crying. And then I'd think, "Ok, it's alright.. the next one won't be so bad to watch." That never helped. His smile, his goofiness.. that was tough. :(

I felt bad about that, too. It really bites the big one when you're here (meaning anyone in general) yet noone else is around, especially in her case.. where she was finally able to sit down and chat for a little while. Don't feel too bad, Sheila. I know she would've enjoyed seeing you here, but she'd understand. :(

A Pointed Message

DALLAS - Thanks to an angry woman in Dallas, needlepointing
has just gotten a little sharper. Julie Jackson runs subversivecrossstitch.com, a website that provides needle-
point kits for those who are mad as hell. Jackson started
the site a year ago after working for a hellish boss and
taking up needlepoint as therapy. However, instead of
stitching up nice little messages such as "God Bless Our
Home," she chose sayings like "Candy Ass, What Makes You
Think I Care?" and "Go F*** Youself." She has found the
needlepoint kits to be extremely popular, particularly with
gloomy teenagers. Only one person criticized the kits and
thought the patterns were bad. But Jackson feels that a per-
son stitching up "Go F*** Youself" isn't going to be too
concerned about the intricacies of cross stitching.
