View Full Version : TJL - Crimefighter!
My lovely parents came home last night after a vacation and found thier home (where yours truly grew up in) had been broken into!
My mother's jewerly seem to be the only thing the thieves took off with, but there was some damage to the front door.
My Mom is upset at losing her personals, but they seem to be okay.
It really pisses me off that after 30 years in that house without any trouble, something like this happens.
That's it, from this day forward, I'm dedicating my life to ridding the world of criminals who prey on unwary retired suburbanites.
All I need is a cape, a mask, a codpiece and boots.
I think my ex girlfriend left those things in the closet...
;)
So be wary folks! Be safe.
The Modfather 11-20-2003, 10:46 PM Wow. That sucks. I hope the cops catch them!
Hollow 11-20-2003, 10:49 PM **** all theives, they can just get a job and buy their own damn jewlery.
PashminaDietrich 11-20-2003, 10:50 PM Any chance you could find the lowlifes that stole my car stereo?
P.S.: If you can't find a cheap hero outfit in NY, I know a few nice places in Dallas...
;)
Janice 11-21-2003, 01:59 AM That's awful news. Lowlife scum. Not your parents, the thieves. ;)
Home invasion must be one of the most terrible things to happen to people.
It's fortunate that your folks didn't walk in on the robbery. As lousy as this is, take heart that your parents are safe.

Yes. My Mother was happy that no one from my family was in the house while the thieves were there.
Hopefully the Police will capture the people who did this. Word is that there have been a rash of robberies in the area, so maybe someone will see a robbery in progress and report it.
MonarC 11-21-2003, 07:23 PM sorry to hear that TJL..
ya know i heard on tv somewhere that if you have very priceless airlooms in your house you should hide them in a place that thieves will never think too look. Like in a ziplock bag in the flour container or something... :talk:

Pitooey 11-22-2003, 11:21 AM So sorry that happened to your parents TJL. :( I know that awful feeling. I got robbed at least 2 times when I lived on my own. It was a terrible feeling.
Well do you have a name as the masked superhero yet? How about SuperSnoop? Or SuperGuard???

Rickenbacker 11-23-2003, 02:02 AM TJL,
All crimefighters have to have boyish sidekicks wearing tights, a minimal mask & show some skin. Is Dick Grayson still available? :)
Janice 11-23-2003, 02:10 AM I hear this guy's looking for work.

I do like the whole armor thing, but if I want to work with a mutant, I'll take Wolverine.
