I'm not saying he's a bad trader, since I have not traded with him, but he did e-mail me about purchasing some various Lucy shows from me last month. On October 13th , after not receiving anything, I figured it was just someone "faking" interest, as happens on occasion. Anyway he sent me this email:

I sent out the payment for $17 for a 4 hour tape which includes shipping and handling charges. Here's what I want on the tape, in case you forgot: Lucy in London, CBS Salutes Lucy: the First 25 Years, and the following episodes of Here's Lucy: Lucy and the Used Car Dealer and Lucy Loses Her Cool. Thanks!!



I've never received that amount, so I question this person's honesty. If he lied about this, maybe he lies about other things with other people in here. I saw his recent posting below about wanting Laverne and Shirley. I should say I have not written back to him, simply because I dont want to have my time wasted again. This is just a heads up for others. If he does e-mail you ( I'm not sure if he even had anything to trade), don't send first.

paul is a great tradder i sent mine first to him and i got his tapes with no problems. maybe the reason why he wants to send first is because he doesnt want to get burned

Yeah I can't stand it when people e-mail traders and sellers about a certain show and they never get back to you or send the amount that they said they would send on a certain day. It really annoys the hell out of me. It's very pointless as well. I remember a while ago when I replied to one of his wants but he didn't send the money so I just said to myself that I should just forget about it since all he's doing is wasting my time.

I agree! Besides, the newer you are the less likely people are to trust you and therefore require you to send first. That's just the way it is. We've all been there at one time or another...at the bottom of the totem pole, but it doesn't last long if you establish a good reputation. :D

Not only was it the cost of 2 tapes and shipping it was 12 hours of someone's time wasted.

Time can't be taken for granted.

I suppose I should comment on that response from REDWINE stating that I am cheap. The "lady" contacted me a few days ago about getting all my set of BIONIC WOMAN . I checked over her list and I would have traded for episodes of MARRIED WITH CHILDREN that I did not have. I told her I had a few episodes of that show, but since there was 3 times as many MWC as BW, she was interested in other shows to equal the trade. Now the thing is, I have alot of people wanting shows from me , so a few tapes is all I can handle. I dont mind continuing a trade for months, just dont senfd me 300 episodes all at once. That's what she wanted to do. She wanted to send me ALL the episodes of MWC that I needed. I told her that that was WAY too many episodes, because:

I need to check the episodes that I am getting before I even begin your tapes and check them off my list.

I don't send first or at the same time, unless I have traded with someone often. And even then, it's so much easier for me to wait before sending. Sometimes I have 3 or 4 people waiting in line to be done, so I do them in the order that I received their tapes. I know some people have been very rude in emails to me about that, but that's the way I have generally done it for over 2 years now. If you don't like it, then don't trade with me, but sending me insulting emails is very childish.

I don't work at Burger King, but I don't think that saying someone who does is a loser because of it. It's a job and that's what's important. REDWINE seems very angry in her posts, I just hope others see it as well.

i would rather deal with a trader like agent 13 or ma932588 anyday rather than this redwine person ,this person only has 17 posts and is calling everybody idiots when it seems they are new to this board, and if i lost 10 grand i would be doing much more than crying i would do everything possible to get that money back that is an incredible amount to lose on the net.
i always say beware of people who type angry posts in bold print the majority who have done this are well known bad traders its not good too come out on the offensive
i am after a show at the moment where i am replying to about 10 people at a time and every one of them knows exactly my intentions regarding their offer because i feel it is my responsibility to keep them informed until i make a decision because i may need to call on their help later on down the track
it is annoying to get people asking about shows when they don't reply back but if setacone says the money was lost maybe there was just a misunderstanding somewhere i hope it gets sorted out good luck with it!
