For me? well for myself? it's $2,000 for a laptop and DVD Recorder...for family and friends? about $450.00 total... I love Christmas! :) You?

That's about right...the $2,000 figure for me doesn't count, since I always treat myself once a year...rarely buy clothes except once a year...so this year its electronics etc... but for family and stuff? like you about $500! :)

I cant help it. Man, I didn't realize how many well to do people we had here at S.O. Those are some huge budgets!! With rent, and all the other bills I have to pay, I'll be lucky to have $100.00 to spend this year. But it's the thought that counts I guess.

Try to do a single parent budget when you don't get the child support you are supposed to.

It's so freaking hard. My little girl still believes in Santa Claus so I can't explain that things are hard and you can't just get what's on your list. Plus she lost things in our car fire that she wants replaced....so it's hard.

If I can spend $100 on her I'll be thinking that's good and no one gets anything from me but her. I can't do anything for any family. I'd like to buy myself somethign little but I doubt that will happen either.

I understand... Ross Dress for Less is Good...Target, JC Penny is also good... I don;t buy high end stuff.amd it's tru, the gift that counts.. Iusally get my relatives two gifts each..something useful and/or gift certificate or clothes.. somethig fun too... and take lots of photos..that's the fun part! :)

I've spent $860, but that's for my plane/train tickets to Chicago and Europe. I'm broke and I never get presents, so I see no point in giving.

I'm saving up to buy a car next year... so I will spending very little, less than $50 on the whole family(really just 2 or 3 people I'll be buying stuff for)

Well, I haveta buy for a few friends and my sisters. My parent's buy things for me to give to the other so I don't needta worry bout that ;).

I usually spend all my money which will be $70 something...but I get money for Christmas, so I feel no pain. I love Christmas shopping.

then I am goin to get my other friends some nice little crap

I dont usually by myself stuff until after XMAS when I get money from Chaunka and returned the XMAS presents I dont like to get what I want ;)

I only have around 30 dollars right now, I'm gonna be getting 100 dollars soon so I'm gonna have to keep that for gifts and stuff. I wish I had more money but oh well, I used to get like $300 of stuff for Christmas and now I'm getting $100 in cash, my parents have been having money problems all year, so it sucks.

I don't have any money for Christmas gifts. We can barely even pay the bills! It must be nice for those of you who have 2,000 to spend just on Christmas. I miss those days...I don't think we ever spent that much on gifts for relatives and I'm related to many people. It SUCKS being poor.

Blai you're not poor...didn;t mean anything by it..I know times are tough for many folks at this time of year... just been saving for some fun stuff is all...but trust me...I've been there and back ands there and back..LOL and it's the love and thought for Christmas...not how much... If you think that's bad, I have been out of work twice!! Once, I quit because the assistant manager is a sexest and two, by Wal-Mart after nearly four months working there due to poor management!!

im going to the mall and my dads giving me $100 to do my shopping plus i'll have about $60 that ive been saving for myself. im sposed to spend the money my dad gives me on christmas stuff but im just gonna buy a bunch of crap for myself like i did last year and maybe a thing or 2 for my brother.

For me probably like $100 at the most. I'm saving the rest to buy myself an iPod and OS X to upgrade my computer. I have to buy that kind of stuff myself- no one ever gets me stuff like that for Christmas! I'm more of a saver than a spender though.

About a month ago it looked like my budget was going to be in the range of $100, to $150 dollars, but now it's more in the range of $50.00 to $60.00. Fortunately my family understands my financial situation, so I don't have to feel too bad. But still, I wish I could do more for them.:(
