I haven't seen any of the new season, considering Lifetime was taken off my net work! (They must DIE!!!) :lol: Here's my version of how it started off.

"Oh." Pain shot up and down CDs arm as she tried to move it. She put her hand over the gun wound, and then raised it to her face. Blood was everywhere.
"Damn."
As CD placed her hand back down, a thought came into her head. "Nate."

"Where are you CD?" Nate sighed, looking at his watch. Suddenly, a person he didn't want to see caught his view.
"Hey, Nate."
"Hey, Lily. Shouldn't you be off tourchering somebody?"
"Yes, but you're girlfriend isn't here."
"Lily, what the hell do you want?"
"To talk. I promise that's all. I'm having....problems."
"You're telling me." Said Nate. "I'm supposed to meet CD here and if she sees you sitting with me, she'll flip. So, meet me at my place tonight. ONLY to talk."

I promise future postings will be longer. That is, if you want more. Do ya?

A few minutes after Lily finally left, Nate gave up hope of CD coming. As he started to get into his car, Captain Kate pulled into the drive and parked her car beside his.
"Hey." She said, out of breath. "I tried to call your cell."
"I turned it off because I wanted a quiet dinner with CD, but..she never showed."
"That's why I tried to call you. CD's been shot."
"What?!"
"We got a call. A man..saying he heard 2 guns go off. I sent a few men out to the address and they told me CD and Liz were laying on the floor, bleeding."
"Is she...?" Nate couldn't say the last word.
"She's been taken to the hospital. Hop in. I'll give you a ride."

Nate stepped in the doorway to CD's hospital room. She was sound asleep. Tears came to his eyes. All of a sudden, a hand came upon his shoulder.
"How are you?"
"Been better. How are you, Jinny?"
"Same." Jinny's eyes come on CD. "She looks so...peacefull."
"Like an Angel."
Jinny smiled and walked away, thinking the two should be alone. Nate walked to CD's bed and sat in a chair beside her.
"I love you." Nate took CD's hands in his and kissed them. CD's eyes slowly came open, all most shutting them again because of the bright hospital lights. She moaned a little and looked to her right, where she saw Nate's face. She smiled. He smiled back.

Jinny took out the car keys in her purse and clicked the button that unlocked the door. She opened the door and got in.
On the way home, her cell rang.
"Exstead."
"Hey, it's me." Said Captain Kate. "We have a...problem over at one of the apartments. On O'Barker Road."
"What's up?"
"The building's on fire."
"Damn!" This shocked Jinny. "Is Magda there?"
"Yes. She's going to meet you. Please becarefull."

Nate looked at his watch. "Hell. I'm supposed to meet....somebody at my house."
"Who?" CD asked.
"Um....nobody." Nate didn't want to tell CD that he was supposed to meet Lily.
"Is it Cap?"
"Yes. Yes, it's Cap. Want's to go over a case. I'll see you tomorrow. Bye." He leaned down and kissed the blonde on the lips.
"Bye."

Nate pulled into his drive way and saw Lily's car was already there.
"This'll be interesting." He said, getting out. Lily got out of her car.
"What took you?"
"Oh. CD had a little....accident. But, she's going to be fine."
"I'm sorry to hear that. The fine part, I mean."
You had no idea how Nate wanted to hit her, but he kept his cool.
"Shall we go inside?"

Jinny pulled to the apartment and got out of her car. Magda ran to her partner.
"I can't believe this!" Said Jinny, looking at the flames. "It's hell on Earth. Anybody hurt."
"A few. They may not make it."
They walked to a streacher, which had a body on it. Magda pulled back the blanket. What Jinny saw almost made her lose her lunch.

Captain walked into CD's room.
"How are you?" She asked.
"I'm fine, thanks. Why aren't you with Nate? He said you're going to meet him at his house to go over a case."
Kate had a confused look on her face. "No. I cleared all my meetings to stay here."
"Jinny?"
"On a case with Magda. And Raina's on vaction. She'll be back tomorrow."
CD's face became confused. "Well, then. Where is he?"

Sorry I haven't up-dated in so long. I had school and not to mention... WRITER'S BLOCK!! :mad: Enjoy.

"You want something to drink?" Nate asked Lily.
"Scotch on the rocks."
"OK. Tea it is." He started to make his way to the kitchen, but Lily grabbed him by the arm and pulled him back. She looked deep into Nate's eyes and started making her face closer to his. But.... Nate pulled back.
"I think you should go."
"You said we could talk."
"Well, they have people that get paid to do that."
Lily took a deep breath. "Fine. I'll go."
Nate sighed as Lily walked out the door.

"Excuse me, Cap."
Captain Kate looked to see who was calling her. "Jinny?"
"Can I see you... alone."
Cap. looked at CD. "I'll be back."
CD nodded and Kate walked out into the hall way with Jinny.

"Where's Magda?"
"She had to take Ben to the doctor's office for a check up. About the fire: we don't know who started it, but I talked to one of the fire fighters and he wasn't caused on an accident."
"Arsen?"
"We're looking into it."
"Any victims?"
"A few were injured. One died. His name was Mitch Field. He's in the mourge right now.
"Are you going back to the site?" Asked Kate.
"Yeah."
"Well, be careful. I have to stay here with CD."
"Give her my love."

I know that part was kinda boring, but there are some good parts ahead. I'm not going to give anything away but somebody's going to propose marriage. :)

"CD?" Nate walked into CDs room.
"Where the hell have you been?"
"What are you taking about?"
"Cap's here. She went to get some coffee. Now, if memory serves me right, you said you were going to talk with her about a case."
"I lied."
"Explain." CD put the magzine she was reading aside and sat back to listen to Nate's story.
"I was with Lily."
"Oh, God no. You two had sex."
"No. She wanted to talk. She tried to kiss me but I pulled back. I'm sorry."
"You should be."
"I said I was sorry. Hey, at least I told you. Not kept it a secret when I asked you."
"Asked me what?"
"I want to ask you if you'll marry me."
"What?"
Nate and CD turned to the door to see Cap. standing there. She was so stunned that she dropped the pastic coffee cup she was holding. It hit the ground and the hot drink went everywhere.
Nate turned back to CD. "Will you, CD?"
"Nate, you know I love you. And you WERE honest telling me about Lily, but.... I'll have to think about it."

"At the fire scene, we found a can and think that's what started the fire."
"Arsen?"
"Don't know yet. Magda's in the lab check it out. You?"
"I just came by to get some magazines, then I'm back to the hospital. Let me know the results."Cap turned and bumped into Raina.
"Oh, sorry Cap." Said Raina.
"That's ok."
"You have a visitor. She's in your office."
"Thanks." Kate gave a smile and walked away.
Opening her office door, Cap got the shock of her life.
"Amanda."
"Hey, Mama."

"OK, Ms. DeLornenzo." Said the doctor, looking at his chart. "You're free to go."
"Really. That's great!"
The doctor smiled and started to walk out, but CD stoped him.
"Wait. Is there a man outside my room."
"Yea."
"Well, could you send him in? I need to tell him something."

Magda came out of the lab room.
"Well?" Jinny asked.
"It's gas. My figure is somebody put a bit on a piece of grass and the next thing you know you have a light house. There were no finger prints. Must've been wearing gloves."
"Great! Now that we found what caused it, we need to find WHO caused it."
"Before he/she/it does it again."

"Mama."
"Amanda, have you been crying?"
"No." Amanda lied. "I just need to stay with you for a few days. Can I?"
"Sure. Come here." Amanda came closer to her mother and they hugged.

"CD, you wanted to tell me something?" Nate stuck his head in the door."
"Yea. Come in."
Nate steped in the room.
"I've re-thought my answer to your proposal."
"And?"
"And..." CD took a deep breath. "Yes, Nate I will marry you."
