View Full Version : Does anyone else besides me think that the Buccs are frauds like the Patriots were?
Elizabeth Smith 10-24-2003, 12:48 AM I think that the Buccs are so overrated...Brad Johnson is average at best and thier defense is only rated highly because they haven't played anyone worth anything with a decent offense. I won't give them credit until they beat a playoff caliber team. I really think that they'll lose to Dallas...forget the spread. I can't wait for the world to see that so called great team for the frauds that they are....No offense to Patriots fans because NE is ooking okay this year and I kinda like Brady
EricIdlefan 10-25-2003, 01:45 AM I like Brad Johnson & Tom Brady well!!! But I could do without Keyshawn and Sapp!! They are pompous asses!!
Eddie Haskell 10-25-2003, 05:58 AM Why were the Patriots frauds? Did you even see 1 game that they played in two years ago? They played with the heart of a champion and no matter what idiots like you say, they were the champions and nobody can take that away.
Elizabeth Smith 10-25-2003, 10:16 AM I'm the idiot? Open your eyes and realize the the Patriots didn't win Superbowl. The Rams LOST that game. Be clear...They got lucky in the Oakland game and the caught Warner playing a uncharactoristicly bad game. Heart of a champion????Don't make me laugh. They're okay, even good this year, but be serious. One more question...Did they even make the playoffs last year?

As far as last year's playoffs are concerned, the Patriots would have made the playoffs if Brett Favre played a decent game against the Jets.
As for the Oakland game, officials can make or break a game. If you're a Raider fan, it was a bad call. If you're a Patriot's fan, it was a great call. Deal with it.
Regarding the Superbowl, the Patriots outplayed the Rams and Warner couldn't overcome like that. The best team won.
On any given Sunday, any NFL team can beat another depending on various factors affecting that team. Injuries, calls by officials, off days by players, weather--all contribute to the outcome of any game.
As a lifelong Patriot's fan, don't tell me they don't play with the heart of a champion. You want proof? Go no further than last week's game against Miami, when in overtime, Tom Brady let go an 82 yard passing play to Troy Brown to win the game.
I don't appreciate you creating a thread to call the Patriots frauds. Ha, frauds wearing Superbowl rings that they EARNED!
Brian Damage 10-25-2003, 12:18 PM Just to clarify for everybody, the Bucs are the champs and they will remain that way until whomever wins this years Super Bowl.
Brian Damage 10-25-2003, 12:22 PM Also, The Pats won the Super Bowl a couple of years back, so that made them the champs....It really doesn't matter how you win, just that you win.
Mr. Television 10-25-2003, 12:28 PM You have to be more than lucky to win the Superbowl. You have to be good too. The Bucks might not be as good this year as last but they are still champs until somebody beats them.
Brian Damage 10-25-2003, 12:40 PM agreed

The BUcs need a new QB
Elizabeth Smith 10-25-2003, 10:56 PM I didn't create a post to criticize the Patriots, I created it to ask for opinions about the Buccs. I did say that the Patriots look good this year and that I like Brady. so Patriots fans should take a deep breath and let it go. I'm an Eagles fan and I'm not gonna get all red if someone criticizes them. Yes, I'm well aware of the of the Superbowl winners of the past, but I still have a right to my opinion as you do yours. I mean, isn't discussion the point of these sports boards? If not, sports boards would just be fan clubs for the current champion. I have things which make a team good to me. You might agree, you might not. If you don't care that's okay too, but I still think that the buccs are overrated and I still think that The Patriots got lucky two years ago. The End
Janice 10-25-2003, 11:26 PM Lucky my ass. They won the Superbowl fair and square. You mostly certainly did create this post to criticize the Bucs and the Pats. You called the Pats frauds who basically stole the Superbowl.
If you want to create a sport's discussion, there are nicer ways to say things. I like a good debate, but calling my team frauds crosses the line.
Elizabeth Smith 10-25-2003, 11:37 PM Are you the niceness police? Are you just too sensitive? I didn't say that they stole anthing. You're putting words in my mouth... Lucky was the word. I still believe that...

No, I'm not the niceness police, but I know rude when I see it. How would you like it if I started a thread calling your team a fraud in the subject line?
You implied that the Pats stole the Superbowl.
Your words....
"Open your eyes and realize the the Patriots didn't win Superbowl. The Rams LOST that game."
Elizabeth Smith 10-25-2003, 11:54 PM I can't be responsible for your interpretations of my post. I say what I mean. Nothing more, nothing less. I THINK that they got lucky. I stand by that. I could call you rude for your responses, but they don't bother me. If you started a thread calling my team a fraud I would defend them and then drink a glass of juice. No big deal....
Elizabeth Smith 10-26-2003, 12:14 AM I said that the Rams LOST the game. They did. How you got stole the superbowl from that quote is beyond me...

You said the Patriots didn't win the Superbowl. That's how.
If they didn't win it, how did they get it?

Obviously being an Eagles fan you wouldn't understand the meaning of "heart of a champion". My eyes WERE wide open as I watched every regular season and playoff game that New England was involved in. Don't make you laugh??? You probably laugh enough when you watch that inept bunch of losers playing in Philly.
Elizabeth Smith 10-26-2003, 12:57 AM sure I did. didn't win/stole, didn't win/stole. I don't see how they're the same. Stole is like paying off officials or fixing plays or something. neither of which I implied. Janice, you're beating a dead horse. I know what I said, you know what I said. We'll have to agree to disagree....:boxing: :boxing:
Elizabeth Smith 10-26-2003, 01:03 AM First of all. Eddie, heart of a champion doesn't apply to you because you're not the champions anymore. You insulting the Eagles is fine because they are playing like losers. but that still doesn't change MY OPINION of the the Patriots. Do you see how that works, you express your dislike for my team, It's okay and I'm still breathing. Take notes....

Man, talk about the old smoke and mirrors routine. I never meant stole in the sense of fixing a game, and you know it. We both know what you implied. Nice attempt at backpeddling though.
Answer my question if you can: If, as you say, the Patriots didn't win the Superbowl, how did they get it?
This time you got a few New England fans mad. Try posting that the Yankees, the A's, the Lakers--pick a team, any team--post that they're frauds and see the reaction you get.
You're new. You'll learn.
Eddie Haskell 10-26-2003, 01:07 AM To: E.S.
Seems like you should take your own advice........let it go!! The only way you'll ever know the meaning of CHAMPION is to look it up in the dictionary.
Elizabeth Smith 10-26-2003, 01:10 AM No, If I think that other teams are not all that they're cracked up to be, I say that too. I don't back peddle. I stand by my post, Patriots fans. I'm new, but at least you know my name now....
Janice 10-26-2003, 01:12 AM Still haven't answered my question....
Elizabeth Smith 10-26-2003, 01:12 AM Hey Eddie,
You keep replying to me. and I think that I will leet it go bacuase I'm not hearing from any Buccs fans.
Elizabeth Smith 10-26-2003, 01:15 AM look at they quote that you were so nice to copy for me
