ok my pc is a piece of sh*t :mad: and it freezes up every time I try to open the other thread...so I had to start a new one...sorry...but heres more....

Instead of going home, Nate decided to ride by CD's to see if Paul was there....he saw Raina's car so he parked and called Raina's cell phone...

Raina had paused the movie while CD was making popcorn...
she could not watch it all alone...it was really quite...all of a sudden,Raina 's phone rang...she jumped off the couch and screamed..CD ran into the living room...
CD:"What is it???"
Raina(breathing heavily):"it was just my phone..."
CD laughed and walked back to the kitchen...Raina answered her phone...
Raina:"hello"
Nate:"Hey Raina...whats going on?"
Raina:"Hey Nate...Im at CD's watching some movies...what do you
need?"
Nate:"oh I was just bored...felt like calling someone.."
Raina:"ha...I guess Im the one everybody calls when they get bored..hey do you want to come watch the movies with us?...Im sure CD won't mind.."
Nate was not sure what to do...he was still really mad at CD but he wanted to see her...he dicided to join them...
Nate:"sure...I'll be there in a minute.."
Nate drove around to block a few times so it did not seem obvious he was parked out front...

CD walked back into the living room...she handed Raina a big bowel of popcorn and a coke...
Raina:"Nate called me...he said he was bored so I invited him over..I did not think you would mind..."
CD was happy Nate was coming over...maybe he came to his senses and decided to stop being a jerk...
CD:"ok that's fine.."

a few minutes later they heard a knock on the door...
Raina:"CD I think you better get it...just in case it is Freddy..."
CD:"gee thanks Raina..."
CD went to the door...she opened it and there was Nate...
Nate:"hey.."
CD:"hey..."
Nate:"Raina invited me over.."
CD:"I know.."
Nate:"so...why aren't you with Paul tonight?"
CD let out a deep breath...
CD:"why would I be with him?"
Nate:"well I assumed since we broke up you would be with him tonight.."
CD was so mad...she was tired of Nate's ******* attitude...
CD:"well maybe I should have asked him to come over too!"
she walked back to the living room angry...she sat next to Raina...Nate came in behind her...
Raina:"hey Nate...glad you came..."
Raina scooted over so Nate could sit in between him and CD..
Nate:"yeah..I just got back from Lily's and I though I would call you and see what you were up to..."
CD looked at Nate in shock...
Raina:"Lily?...yall trying to get something back started up..."
Nate:"well you know how it is...we just hook up sometimes..."
Raina giggled...
Raina:"yeah I know..."
CD hated Nate right now...she could not believe he would sleep with Lily the same day they brake up...and then to come and rub it in...
Nate:"what are we watching..."
Raina:"well right now Nightmare on Elm st. 3..."
Nate:"oooh...Freddy is my favorite..."

the three watched a few more movies...they all fell asleep on on CD's couch...Raina was curled up in a little ball at one end and CD fell asleep on Nate's shoulder at the other end(without realizing it of course)....the next morning Nate woke up and saw CD's head on his shoulder..he could not understand how he could be so mad at her but love her so much at the same time...he just sat there..not wanting to wake her..finally Raina woke up and looked at her watch....
Raina:"oh no I better get going...I got yoga today..."
CD had woken up now...she realized where she was laying and quickly got up...
Nate:"yoga?"
Raina:"yup...me, Magda, Jinny, and Captain are all going...hey you two should come too!"
CD:"no way.."
Nate:"yeah..no thanks..."
Raina:"ok see you two later..."
Nate:"yeah I gotta go too..."
both Raina and Nate left....CD got up and went to her bathroom to take a shower....

Everyone arrived to work bright and early Monday morning...they
were all drinking their morning coffee and chit chating...CD and Nate still were not speaking much...
CD:"so how was yoga?"
Raina and Magda both glared at Jinny...Jinny started laughing...
Magda:"we were kicked out after 15 minutes?"
Nate:"why???"
Raina:"because JINNY and Captain would not stop giggling..."
Magda:"yeah the teacher said our group was disrupting the class so they made us leave..."
Jinny:"hey come on now...we could not help it...those people were a bunch of fruitcakes.."
Everyone laughed and Kate came out to them give them their
assignments....
Kate:"Jinny, Magda, and Raina...young girl stabbed to death at a
party...CD, Nate...robbery..."
she handed them the files and went back into her office...then turned around and stuck her head out the door...
Kate:"by the way...Im sorry Jinny and I got us all kicked out of yoga class..."
Magda:"it's ok captain..."

Nate and CD were driving to the crime scene...they were silent for a while but Nate spoke up...
Nate:"so what did you do Saturday after we left..."
CD:"why do you care?"
Nate:"I don't really...I was just trying to start a conversation..."
CD:"well I just cleaned up some...did some laundry...how about you..did you go to Lily's?"
Nate:"do you care if I went to Lily's?"
CD:"I don't care where you go...I just did not think she would be the first person you run to when we broke up.."
Nate:"well I want a women who will not cheat on me..."
CD:"God you are an assh*le..."
Nate:"you are a b*tch.."
CD:"f*ck stain!"
Nate:"sl*t!"
finally the arrived at the crime scene...

this went on for next coule of months...they were still great partners but they hardly spoke like they used to...all they did was insult one another..they would both sit up at night thinking of new things to call each other the next day...Nate saw Lily off and on...nothing serious,just when he wanted some...CD did not date but she would always tell Nate that she had a date...

One day Nate was sitting at his desk...CD was gone to lunch with Jinny...CD's doctor called and left a message with Nate...CD finally
returned...
Nate:"hey your doctor called... he was calling to answer your question...he said yes it is possible and for you to make a appointment as soon as possible..."
CD:"ok thanks.."
Nate:"well what was the question?"
CD:"Nate it is none of your business"
Nate:"well if you are dying I would like to know..."
CD:"you would like that, wouldn't you?"
Nate:"no...you are my partner and still care about you.."
CD:"Nate it is just women stuff..no big deal so don't worry about it..."
Nate:"fine..."

the next day CD walked out of Kate's office...she got her coat and put it on...
CD:"come on douche bag...lets get this over with..I have an appointment.."
Nate:"ok @ss licker..."
they both walked out of the division...they were on there way to pick a guy up for a rape...
Nate:"so...what is the appointment for?"
CD:"I have to see my doctor..."
Nate:"about?..."
CD:"I already told you...it is none of your business..."
Nate:"fine fine...but you will have to tell me sometime..."
CD:"no I don't..."
Nate:"whatever..."
they picked the guy up and went back to the division...Nate started on the paper work and CD left for the doctor...

when CD arrived to the doctors office, she was nervous...the nurse called her to the back...
Nurse:"ok first I need you to pee in this cup...then put this gown on so the doctor can examin you..."
CD:"ok..thanks"
CD went into the bathroom and peed in the cup...she went back into the room and put on the gown...she sat on the examining table shaking from being so nervous...she thought to herself.."this is crazy, I am probably just overreacting....Im sure there is nothing wrong...Im just stressed out.."...finally the doctor came into her room...
Doctor:"good afternoon Mrs.Delorenzo...how are you?"
CD:"I have been better...you know what doctor I think I m fine...I was just under alot of stress...I mean there is no way I can be pregnant..I had my tubes tied eleven years ago..."
Doctor:"well it is possible..have you had your tubes checked since
they were tied.."
CD:"no...I did not know I was supposed to.."
Doctor:"oh yes...every seven years...it is rare if they come untied..it usually happens if the doctor does not properly tie them..."
the doctor examined CD...he left the room for a few minutes so CD
could get dressed...they already had her test results....he returned to the room...
Doctor:"ok well..the examination showed that your left tube is partialy untied..and the urine test determined you are indeed pregnant.."
CD:"I don't understand...how can I be pregnant if my tube is partaily untied?"
Doctor:"the father had to have been extremely fertal becuase there is only a small space for the sperm to enter your tube..."
CD had to smirk a little a that...Nate always came like a mad man....the Doctor and CD talked some more...then CD left to go back to work and help Nate finish up all the paperwork....she cried the whole way there...when she arrived she tried to dry her face but you could still tell she had been crying...she went to her desk and sat down...
Nate:"you back?"
CD:"obviously..."
Nate:"what is wrong?"
CD:"nothing...why?"
Nate:"you look like you have been crying..."
CD:"it is just my allergies..."
Nate:"so how was the appointment..?"
CD:"fine..."
Nate:"so you are not gonna kill over, are ya?"
CD:"no Nate I am just fine...now leave me alone!"
Nate:"ok fine...."

ok I am not a doctor so I don't know how true all that was...I read book once on pregnancy and invitro fertalization(lol...I have no idea why!)...so that is where I got some of it from...

CD stayed up all night...she did not know what to do..."I can't be a mother..." she thought to herself...she still loved Nate but she thought he did not love her...she did not want to use this baby for them to get back together...she hated when women had a baby just to get a man to love her...she did not want to be one of those women...she decided it would probably be best if she had an abortion...she could not work and take care of a baby...
the next morning CD called her doctor first thing to make an appointment...then she left for work....CD got to work before Nate...when he arrived, you could tell he was mad about
something...
CD:"wake up on the wrong side of the bed..."
Nate just gave her a dirt look and sat down...a few minutes later he looked up at CD...
Nate:"Lily has been sleeping with some guy named Pedro...."
CD:"well what did you expect...you were using her... she probably got tired of it..."
Nate:"so is that why you cheated on me?...becuase you thought I was using you?"
CD:"Nate, how many times do I have to tell you that I DID NOT CHEAT ON YOU?!?!"
Nate:"but Paul..."(CD cuts him off)
CD:"just shut the hell up...I hate the sound of your voice..."

later on that day they both had cooled down and were back speeking alittle bit more...everyone was talking about what there nick-names were...
Raina:"my first boyfriend always called me motor-mouth...I guess because I talk alot.."
CD:"that could be why..."
Jinny:"a guy, I don't remember his name, once called me
Elvira....Im not sure why though..."
everyone laughed and then Nate spoke up...
Nate:"well a girl once called me long-dong..."
everyone busted out laughing....especially CD...she was the one who called him that one night when they were both really tipsy after a friends birthday party...she did not even think he remembered that...
Magda(sarcasticly):"yeah I bet a girl called you that..."
Nate:"Im serious!"
Jinny:"ewww..well thanks for sharing..."
Nate:"hey you all asked about nick-names..."
Kate walked out of her office...
Kate:"can you all get back to work please..."
they all nodded and went back to what they were doing...Nate was still just sitting there...
Kate:"you too, long-dong.."
Nate:"yes Ma'am..."
Kate went back into her office...a little while later..CD could feel Nate looking at her..she looked up and he grinned...she smiled back and then proceeded doing the paperwork..
that was the first time they had had one of those moments since they broke up...
CD:"Nate could we make sure all this is done today...I have another appointment in the morning..."
Nate:"ANOTHER one?....tell me what is going on CD"
CD:"nothing is going on ok!...."
Nate kept buggin CD so finally she just gave in...
CD:"ok I have to get a wart removed!"
Nate(with a grossed-out look on his face):"a wart?"
CD:"yes a wart....now will you stop bugging me?"
Nate:"ok..."
they both went back to what they were doing...a few minutes later Nate popped his head up...
Nate:"can I see it..?"
CD:"see what??"
Nate:"the wart"
CD:"why do you want to see my wart???"
Nate:"well it must be a pretty big one to have the doctor calling you..."
CD:"you can't see my wart Nate...."
Nate:"why?....(he pauses for a minute)...is it a genital wart???"
CD:"NO!...you nasty f*cker!"
CD could not help but laugh...he would always say the stupidest things to make her laugh....

the next day CD got up and got ready for her appointment...she was so scared...she did not like abortion but she just could not see herself with a child...she went to the doctors office...
Doctor:"good morning....are you sure you want to do this?"
CD:"I guess I am..."
the doctor was just about to start...CD could hardly breath...right when the doctor touched her she sat up...
CD:"WAIT!"
Doctor:"yes?"
CD:"I cannot go through with this..."
Doctor:"are you sure?"
CD:"yes I am sure..."
the doctor left the room and CD got dressed...she then drove to the Division...she did not want to even think about the baby...she figured she would just tell everyone when it was absolutly nessesary....

Magda and Jinny where walking into the bull pin...they had just gotten back from a crime scene...Magda:"ok Jinny tell me who he is..."
Jinny:"who who is?"
Magda:"the guy you had a date with last night..."
Jinny:"Mag I have no idea what you are talking about..."
Magda:"don't play dumb Jinny....CD told me she called you and you said you had a date but you would not tell her who it was with...so you better tell me..."
Jinny:"what are you my mother now?"
Magda:"Im not your mother but Im your best friend and I deserve to know who you are seeing..."
Jinny:"Mag listen...it was just one date with some guy you don't know...so just forget about it, ok?"
Magda:"ok fine..."

Nate:"hey you wanna go get lunch?"
CD:"Nate why are you all of a sudden being so nice to me?....I thought we were mad at each other?"
Nate:"well we are not dating anymore but we are still partners...so we should atleast get along...who knows...maybe one day we can be friends again..."
CD:"maybe..."

Jinny was gone to the bathroom...Raina had just walked out of Kate's office..
Magda(wispering):"psss...hey Raina"
Raina:"yeah?"
Magda:"I need you to find something out for me..."
Everyone always used Raina as their personal investigator....
Raina:"what is it?"
Magda:"well last night Jinny went on a date but she will not tell anyone who it was with...there must be a reason she does not want anyone to know,so will you try to find out?"
Raina:"ok...but it might take some time...Officer Smart also has me trying to find out what his wife is getting him for his birthday...I think I know though..."
Magda laughed...
Magda:"you should be a private investigator..."
Raina:"nah...I would not have co-workers like you to gossip with...."

CD and Nate were at Anchorside eating...Nate was trying to find something to talk about but CD seemed kinda distant...
Nate:"CD?"
CD:"Hmm?"
Nate:"Are you ok?"
CD:"yeah Im fine....why?"
Nate:"I don't know...you seem different the past few days...like something is bothering you.."
CD:"I just have some things on my mind...thats all..."
Nate:"Do you want to talk about it?"

Raina saw Jinny walk out of the station...she was heading over to Anchorside..Teddy was waiting for her there...he was sitting in the back because he saw CD and Nate there and he knew Jinny did not want anyone to know they were talking again...Jinny looked around a few minutes...she said hey to Nate and CD...she finally found Teddy...meanwhile Raina had ran to her car to grab a scarf and some sunglasses....she put the sun glasses on and the scarf over her head...she walked into Anchorside and
sat at the bar...CD and Nate were on their way out...
CD:"Is that Raina at the bar???"
Nate:"I think so.."
they walked over to Raina...
CD:"hey Raina,hiding from someone?"
Raina:"how did you know it was me??"
Nate:"well we see you everyday so we know what you look like..."
Raina:"damn...I thought this was a good disguise..."
CD:"are you undercover?"
Raina:"yeah..."
Nate:"is it for that case you are working on?"
Raina:"no it is something I am doing for Magda..."
CD:"ok well, we are gonna head back to the division.."
Nate:"yeah, good luck..."
Raina:"thanks..."
Raina looked around....she could not spot Jinny anywhere...she walked toward the back...finally she saw the back of Jinny's head...she saw Teddy sitting across from her...Raina put her hand over her mouth...Teddy looked up and noticed the strange women watching them...Raina quickly turned around and ran off...
Jinny:"what is it?"
Teddy:"I don't know...some weirdo..."

Raina ran into back to the station...when she got to the bull pin she was out of breath...Kate walked passed her and made a strange face...she still had the scarf and sunglasses on.....

Raina:"Im positive it was him..."
CD noticed the three talking so she walked over...
CD:"what?...who was him?"
Kate:"the guy Jinny has been secretly dating is Teddy Blumenthal.."
CD:"no way!"
Raina:"yes way!...I saw them together at anchorside...they were sitting in the back AND he had his hand on hers..."
Jinny walked into the bullpin and everyone shut up...
Jinny:"did I miss something..."
Magda:"no..just girl talk..."
Jinny:"oh ok...(looks at Raina,who has a big grin on her face)...what is wrong with you??"
Raina:"nothing..."
Jinny:"well whats with the sunglasses and scarf?..."
Raina:"oh that...I was just trying out a new look...what do you think?"
Jinny:"it suits you..."

a few weeks went by...Jinny was still seeing Teddy...everyone knew but they did not say anything...nobody could understand why Jinny was being so secretive about it...CD told Jinny what was going on with her...Jinny told CD to tell Nate but CD refused to..CD was really starting to show now so she tried to wear clothes where you could not tell...one day her and Nate were out working on a case when Nate noticed CD's stomach..Nate did not want to say anything to CD and hurt her feelings, she could just have put on few pounds...so he deicided he would talk to Jinny since that was who CD always talked to about stuff...

later that evening Nate went over to Jinny's...
Jinny:"hey Nate...what's going on?"
Nate:"I need to talk to you about CD..."
Jinny:"ok..."
Nate:"I know this is going to sound stupid since CD has her tubes tied but do you know if she is pregnant?...she has been acting wierd the past month or so..and today I noticed she had put on some weight..."
Jinny was not sure what to do...CD was her friend and she did not want to break her trust but Nate needed to know what was going on...she decided she would tell him CD is pregnant but she would not tell him it was his, she would let CD do that...
Jinny:"yeah she is..."
Nate:"what?..how?"
Jinny:"her doctor said a tube came un-tied or something..."
Nate thought for a split second about it being his...then he thought "it can't be mine, we have not been together in almost four months and she would be way bigger..."
Nate:"is it Paul's?"
Jinny:"I don't know Nate..."
Nate:"well thanks for telling me..."
Jinny:"your welcome..CD is probably going to kill me though..."
Nate:"I'll tell her to go easy on you..."
Nate left...he went to CD's...he knocked on the door...CD
answered and was suprised to see him...
CD:"what do you want???"
Nate:"I need to talk to you.."
CD:"about what?"
Nate pointed to her belly...
Nate:"about THAT..."
CD:"oh...that...well Im pregnant...."
Nate:"why didn't you tell me?"
CD:"I did not think it was important..."
Nate:"well it is important...Is it Paul's?"
CD(sarcasticly):"no I think it is that crack head's that I have been screwing.."
Nate:"so it is Paul's?"
CD:"no Nate..I never slept with him..."
Nate:"you didn't?"
CD:"no...I don't know why you think I did..."
Nate:"he was walking out of your appartment half dressed!"
CD:"I was going to give him a place to stay for the night but he kept wanting to sleep with me so I made him leave...and I did not give him time to get dressed..."
Nate was shocked...all this time he was being a @sshole for no reason...
Nate:"CD I am so sorry"
CD:"well I think you better be going..."
Nate:"wait...don't you want to talk about this some more?"
CD:"why?"
Nate:"well I want to know who your baby's father is...I mean I hope he is going to help you.."
CD:"you know...I really do not know who the father is..."
Nate was confused...that was so unlike CD....has she slept with THAT many guys??...CD was confused also..."why wasn't Nate asking if the baby was his???"...CD would not do much more talking so Nate finally left...

the next day CD decided since Nate knew, she would tell captain and everyone else..CD went into Kate's office...
CD:"morning Captain...can I talk to you?"
Kate:"sure...what is it?"
CD:"well I have news...Im pregnant"
Kate:"pregnant????...how??"
CD:"one of my tubes came untied..."
Kate went over and hugged CD...
Kate:"CD I am so happy for you?....but who is the father?"
CD:"just a guy..."
Kate:"is he going to help?"
CD:"he does not know..."
Kate:"Well how do you feel?"
CD:"I am SO scared...and I feel wierd...I mean I never ever
thought I would be having a baby...I am still in shock.."
Kate:"well you know CD...this probably happend for a reason...God knows you will be a good mother..."
CD and Kate talked some more...then CD went to her desk...there was a gift sitting on it..Nate has a big smile on his face...
Nate:"its from me...I wanted to be the first one to give your baby a gift..."
CD opened the gift...it was a little t-shirt that said "i love my mommy"...CD felt a tear roll down her cheek...
CD:"aww Nate that is so sweet...thank you"
Nate:"your welcome..."
suddely Raina came out of Kate's office with the look of shock on her face...she ran over to CD's desk...
Raina:"CD you are PREGNANT???"
CD(laughing):"Im affraid so.."
Raina:"Oh My God...Im so happy!!!...I have been waiting for someone at this division to get pregnant so I could throw them a shower!"
Jinny:"if you wanted to throw a shower that bad, why didn't you just have baby yourself?"
Raina:"oooh girl I don't want to throw one THAT bad..."
Magda hears what is going on and walks over...
Magda:"CD you are pregnant???...how did that happen???"
Raina:"well Magda...when a man and a women...(Magda cuts her off)"
Magda:"I know that part Raina..."
CD glares at Jinny
CD:"why don't you ask Jinny...Im sure she will tell you"

CD:"well I guess it does not matter..."

CD:"I don't know...we are lucky our partnership lasted what it has...it was a mistake for us to have been together in the begining and I want things to stay like they are...I don't
want to loose him as a partner.."
Jinny:"but CD, he is the father of your child...he has a right to know..."
CD:"I know he does..."
Jinny:"so you should tell him...I mean, I know I am not the person who should be telling someone else the right thing to do, but you both are my friends and I know Nate would want to be in this baby's life.."
CD:"I guess I better get back to work..."

CD went to her desk...Nate came out of Kate's office...
Nate:"hey we have to go see this guy..."
CD:"what about?"
Nate:"that robbery at the bank..."
CD:"ok.."
CD and Nate were riding in the car...
Nate:"have you been thinking about names and stuff like that?"
CD:"no...Im gonna wait and see what it is first...I actually still can't even believe it..."
Nate:"well I hope it is a boy...Uncle Nate will teach him how to chase girls,cuss, drink
beer..."
CD:"Im not letting you near him!"
Nate:"ah come on...you will need me to babysit him one day..."
CD:"and leave him alone with you!?...no way.."
Nate:"oh so you are gonna be one of those over-protective mothers, huh?"
CD:"not over-protective..."
Nate:"yes you will...he will be a mama's boy...so he needs a guy like me to teach him how to be a "real" man..."
CD:"oh God...and how do you know its a boy?...I might be a little girl!"
Nate:"and you are gonna dress her up like a little princess and put little bows in her hair?"
CD:"yep.."

CD was now six months pregnant...today was the day she was going to find out the sex of the baby...she was actually starting to get excited about being a mom...she still had not told Nate he was the baby's daddy though...things were going good between
the two of them and things were almost back to the way they were before they got together...

at the station, Raina was taking bets on what everyone thought the baby was going to be...
Raina:"ok...Nate how much do you wanna bet?"
Nate:"ten bucks on it being a boy..."
Jinny:"ok what if they cannot tell what the baby is today...?"
Raina:"then we will just have to wait till it is born..."
Magda:"well I want to put ten bucks also on it being a boy..."
Raina:"ok...how about you Jinny?"
Jinny:"since everyone else is SO convinced it is a boy, Im gonna put ten on it being a girl..."
Kate walked out of her office...
Raina:"ooh captain, you wanna get in on this?"
Kate:"sure...I guess since Jinny is the only one who bet on a girl, I will too..."

Jinny decided she would finally tell Magda about her and Teddy...things were going well between them now and she felt confident their relationship might be going some where...
Jinny:"Magda?"
Magda:"hmm?"
Jinny:"the person I have been seeing is Teddy..."
of course when Magda and Jinny were having a conversation, Raina was autmatically in it too..both Magda and Raina had a "duh we knew that" look on their face...
Magda:"I know it is Teddy..."
Raina(smiling real big):"yeah me too!"
Jinny:"how do you two know??...I have not told anyone..."
Magda:"we have knew for a couple months now actually..."
Raina:"yeah did you think you were gonna keep something like that from US?"
Jinny:"well yeah I did..."
Magda:"why didn't you want us to know..?"
Jinny:"well it was nothing at first but then I wanted to see how things were gonna turn out before I started telling people..."
Magda:"Jinny Im so happy for you!"
Raina:"yeah me too!"
Jinny:"so since everyone knows now, Im gonna go have lunch with Teddy!"

Jinny(laughing):"ok I will..."

CD walked into the bull pin...she was smiling ear-to-ear....Raina jumped up when she saw her...
Raina:"what is it, what is it?"
CD:"a little exctited?"
Magda:"she has bet going..."
CD:"hmm..then Im not telling what it is..."
CD went and sat at her desk...
Raina:"you better tell us!..."
CD:"nuh uh..."
Nate:" hey now you can tell ME?!"
CD:"ok ok I will tell you what it is.."
Raina:"wait, let me bet first...ok I say...boy...ok now what is it!"
CD pulls out a picture from the sonogram..
CD:"it is a girl!"

Magda:"yeah I was sure it was a boy...."
CD:"nope it is a girl...see..(shows them the picture)"
Raina(mad):"Magda your doctor friend does not know what he is talking about!"
CD:"what?... you two cheated?!"
Magda:"well I asked a doctor friend of mine what he thought it might be and he said a boy...."
Nate:"well guess a girl won't be so bad...lets just hope she does not turn out like CD here.."

CD:"I know what you mean...last week Jinny asked me to proof read a poem she wrote for Teddy, for his birthday..."

Raina:"hey I like Jinny's new attitude...she has not threatened to shove me in the storage closet in a month...she usual does twice a day..."
Nate:"well I am happy for them...at least SOMEBODY out there
is having great sex..."

Jinny and Teddy were having a conversation in between their kisses....
Jinny:"so what do you want to do tonight..."

Everyone returned back to the division...Jinny and Magda left to work on a case...Raina was helping CD and Nate with another case...
Raina:"I just got a call from ballistics...Donson's fingerprints were all over the gun..."
Nate:"let's go get him.."
CD and Nate walk out of the bull pin...Raina passes captain on the way to her desk..
Raina:"ooooh captain I love that blouse...it brings out your eyes..."

Raina:"really?...I got them on sale!"

Nate and CD were driving in the car...
Nate:"are you feeling ok today???"
CD:"yeah Im just tired...not to mention I am huge...my back hurts..my feet hurt..."

CD:"Im pushing seven months..."
Nate:"seven months??...I thought you were only like four or five months?"
CD:"nope..almost seven..."
Nate:"no wonder you are so big..."

CD:"no...I have not even thought about it..."

Raina:"yeah...so anyway...the shower is THIS Saturday...have you gotten CD a gift yet?"
Kate:"calm down...I know it is this Saturday and yes I got her a gift..."
Raina:"ok just making sure...I want CD to have the best baby shower ever!"

Friday before the shower, Raina gathered everyone to tell them the plans while CD and Nate were off working on a case...
Raina:"ok here is what is going to happen...we are all going to meet up at Anchorside tomorrow at 7pm...Nate is going to get CD to have dinner with him...he is going to bring her to anchorside and we are going to suprise her!"
Jinny:"good...that leaves me enough time tomorrow and go get her a gift.."
Raina:"WHAT??...you haven't gotten her a gift yet??"
Jinny:"chill out...I have been busy...don't worry it will be a nice gift"
Raina:"ok it better...how about you Mag?"
Magda:"I got her a couple things...Im gonna go with Jinny tomorrow and help her pick out a gift"
Raina:"oh thank goodness..."
Jinny:"what is that supposed to mean???!!?"
Raina:"well it is just that Magda has had a baby and she would know what to buy..."
Jinny:"hey now I have bought plenty of gifts for friends who were
having babies..."

The next day Jinny and Magda were and Babys R us.....
Magda:"aww now this is cute..."
Jinny:"yeah I guess...I like that pink one better..."
Magda:"doesn't all this stuff give you baby fever!"

Magda:"oh come on Jin...don't you want a baby before it is too late..."
Jinny:"yeah right...I can really see me with a kid..."
Magda:"that just might be what you need..."
Jinny:"well if I was to have a kid, I would want it to have a father and I can't seem to keep a man around..."
Magda:"you have Teddy!"
Jinny:"yeah but things are going way too good with him...Im just waiting for it all to fall apart..."
Magda:"Jinny you are way to hard on yourself...Teddy obviously loves you..."
Jinny:"I know...I don't know what Im saying..."
Magda:"well I know one thing...all these little dresses are making me want to have another baby..."
Jinny:"you mean you want a baby after that little scare last year?"
Magda:"well yeah I want one with Gabe..."
Jinny:"so things are ok between you two?"
Magda:"yeah...and I hate it because I can't get the guilt to go away...I now realize I do love Gabe and Jonah was just a stupid mistake.."
Jinny:"maybe you should tell Gabe..."
Magda:"I know...Im not scared of him leaving me, Im just scared of breaking his heart..."
Jinny picked up a little dress that was light pink and it had little matching socks and a hat...
Jinny:"ok this is deffinatly the one..."
Magda:"see you are so good at this..."
Jinny just rolled her eyes and kept looking at the baby
clothes...they bought a few more things and then left the store...

Raina was, of course, the first person to arrive at Anchorside for the shower...she talked to a waiter about what everyone was supposed to be having and everything else...Kate arrived with the cake...
Raina:"oh thank God your here.."
Kate:"Raina it is still early!"
Raina:"I know..I just wanted you to get the cake here..."
Raina takes the cake from Kate and sits it on the table...then she opens the box to see what the cake looks like...It is pink and with white flowers..and it says "its a girl!"...
Raina:"oh Captain this cake is beautiful!"
Kate:"well you picked it out...didn't you know that is what it was going to look like..."
Raina:"yeah but it looks even better than I imagined!"
a couple more people started showing up to the shower...people from work...friends of CD's....

meanwhile, Nate had forgotten to call CD the night before to ask her to go to dinner with him so he hoped she did not already have plans, and ruin the suprise baby shower...Nate went over to CD's...he knocked on the door...CD answered...
CD:"Hey..."
Nate:"Hey...what are you up to?"
CD:"oh I was just getting ready to go shopping..."
Nate:"oh well I was hoping maybe you would want to come to dinner with me..."
CD:"I would love to but I really need to go shopping..."
Nate:"well can't that wait?"
CD:"no not really...I need to go now, while I have some free time..."
Nate:"how about I go with you...we can eat first and then go shopping.."
CD(confused):"Nate you want to go shopping???"
Nate:"uhh yeah...I have some things I need to get also...."

Everyone had finally arrived for the shower...Raina was going crazy wondering where Nate was...

CD:"ok fine, you can come with me...but lets eat quick ok?"
Nate:"ok..lets go to Anchorside..."
CD:"why Anchorside?...why don't we just get something at the food court?"
Nate:"they have a great special tonight..."
CD:"but Nate that will take forever...everything will be closed by the time we get finished eating..."
Nate:"It will not take us that long...come on lets go..."
CD still argued with Nate on the way to Anchoride....

Raina was flipping out...she could not call Nate's cell because CD would get suspicious...
Jinny:"Raina would you chill out!?...they will be here!"
Magda:"yeah they are only 20 minutes late..."
Raina:"I know...I just do not like to fall back on schedule..."

Nate and CD arrived at Anchorside....they both got out of the car and were walking in...
CD:"Nate I swear, if the everything is closed when we leave here, I am going to punch you..."
Nate:"ok you can punch me!"
they walked in and everyone was sitting a big table...there were balloons and gifts everywhere....everyone yelled "SUPRISE!" when CD and Nate approach the table...
CD:"Oh my God!...what are you guys doing?"
Jinny:"duh, we're giving you a babyshowerd..."
Magda:"actually we just helped...this was all Raina's idea...she did everything..."
CD hugged Raina..
CD:"thank you so much Raina!"
Raina:"no problem...you know how much I love this stuff!"
CD:"yeah I do..."
Raina(jokingly):"so you are gonna make me the God-mother, right?"
CD(laughing):"we'll see..."
Kate:"so come on, sit down!..."
Nate and CD sat down with everyone else...everyone ordered their food and were in
conversation with each other...
Raina:"so what took you so long to get here?"
Nate:"CD here was giving me a hard time..."
CD:"well I had other plans....if you would have told me about the shower then I would not have given you a hard time!"
Nate:"well if I would have told you, it would not have been a suprise..."

Everyone were now finished eating....
Raina:"ok it is time to open the gifts..."
Magda brought over some gifts and placed them in front of CD....
CD:"which one do I open first?"
Jinny:"open this one....I know you'll love it..."
CD opened Jinny's gift...it was the little pink dress....
CD:"aww Jinny this is beautiful...did you pick it out?"
Jinny:"yes I did, thank you!"
next Kate wanted CD to see what she got her so she went out to her car and got it...a few minutes later, Kate came rolling in with a white bassinette...Jinny, Magda, and Raina all went "Awwwww" at the same time...
Kate:"I hope you like it...Amanda had one just like this when she was a baby..."
CD:"Caption this is just wonderful!...thank you SO much..."
CD got up and hugged Kate...
Nate:"ok all of these are from me..."
Nate had about eight gifts in his arms....
CD laughed...
CD:"do you think you got enough..."
Nate:"I couldn't help it...all that baby stuff was so cute...I could not make up my mind..."
Magda:"you mean you went shopping for baby stuff?"
Nate:"well yeah...I mean normally I get my mom to do stuff like this for me but it is not
every day my partner has a baby....I wanted to pick out the gifts myself!"
Raina:"aww that is so sweet Nate"
CD smiled at Nate...
CD:"yeah that is Nate...thank you so much...and thank God it is not everyday your partner
has a baby...I could not handle that!"
CD opened alot more gifts....everyone eat cake....it was pretty late so everyone was starting to leave for home...Magda and Jinny stayed behind with Raina to help her clean up...

Nate carried CD home, along with a car-full of baby stuff...clothes,toys, diapers...you name it...CD went in her appartment and Nate made trips back and forth to the car untill he had all the gifts inside....
Nate:"uhh is all this stuff just going to stay in the living room?"
CD:"I guess so...I have no where else for it..."
Nate:"CD where is your baby going to sleep?...you need a nursery..."
CD:"I know...I am looking for another appartment..."
Nate:"Well I will help you look....and I will help you with the nursery too, ok?"
CD:"Thank you Nate..."
Nate:"your welcome..."

A few weeks passed...CD was getting close to her due date, so Kate made her go ahead and take her maternity leave...she finally found a new appartment...it was small but it had two
bedrooms....Nate and CD were getting the room ready for the baby....Nate was trying to put the crib together...CD was sitting in a rocking chair eating ice cream...laughing at Nate...
Nate:"whats so funny?"
CD:"you and that crib....you are never gonna get it togther..."
Nate:"yes I am...you just gotta give me some time..."
CD:"I have been watching you try to put it together for an hour..."
Nate:"well why don't you get up and help me!"
CD:"becuase Im almost 8 1/2 months pregnant!....how about I call someone who will know what they are doing?..."
Nate:"no I am almost done..."
CD:"well you better do it right...I don't want to put my baby in there and it fall apart..."
Nate:"It won't...."
CD picked up a baby names book from beside the rocking chair...
CD:"I have no idea what to name her...."
Nate:"well let me help you...I need a break from this crib anyway..."
Nate and CD left the babies room and went and sat on the couch...
Nate:"ok lets see...what names do you like?"
CD:"I really don't know....I like Hannah..Michelle...Amy.."
Nate:"well I like Hannah too...I once dated a girl named Michelle..and Amy..."
CD:"I like it too but I don't know...what if she hates it when she is older?..."
Nate:"let me ask her...."
Nate put his head on CD's belly...
Nate:"ok baby...do you want your Mommy to name you "Hannah"?
......hey she moved!"
CD:"Nate she moves all the time..."
Nate:"well I think she likes it..."
CD:"ok Hannah it is....what about a middle name?....
Nate looked through the baby book a few times....
Nate:"I like "Grace"...that was my Grandmothers name..."
CD:"I like that too Nate....Hannah Grace...that is pretty..."
Nate:"yeah it is...I bet she will be pretty too..."

CD knew she needed to tell Nate he was the father...she had let too much time pass and she wanted him to know...she decided now was probably the best time to tell him...
CD:"uhh Nate...there is something I need to tell you.."
Nate:"what is it???"
CD paused for a few minutes...
Nate:"well are you going to tell me?"
CD:"you are Hannah's Father..."
Nate:"WHAT?...how can that be?"
CD:"Nate you are the only person I have been with...I can't believe you never even thought it could be yours..."
Nate:"of course I thought of the possibility it was mine!...why didn't you tell me CD??"
CD:"I was so scared...I mean things were so screwed up between us and I just don't want to loose you as a partner...you know if Kate found out about this..."
Nate:"CD screw our partnership...I want us to stay partners too but I think a BABY is more important than that...I can't believe you kept this from me..."
Nate was really angry now...He grabbed his jacket and left....CD just put her head in her hands...she expected Nate to be mad, just not that mad...

Nate went home....he just sat on his couch thinking about what CD just told him...He was so mad...yet he was really happy too...he always wanted to be a father...a father of CD's child but he thought that would never happen..and now it had...

CD woke up in the middle of the night from a sharp pain....she got up...she did not want to jump to conclusions so she just stayed up and waited to see if the pain went away...
about an hour later the pain got worse and she knew she was in labor...she called Nate..Nate heard the phone ring...he picked it up even though he was still half asleep...
Nate:"hello?"
CD:"Nates its me...I know you are mad at me but I am in labor and I did not know who else to call..."
that quickly woke Nate completely up...
Nate:"ok I will be right there..."
Nate jumped out of bed...threw some clothes on and raced over to CD's...CD was waiting for him...she quickly got into the car...
CD:"I can't believe this is happening...this is too soon"
CD started to cry...
CD:"her room isn't even finished... and I don't think I am ready to be a mother..."
Nate:"CD it's ok...she is only a couple weeks early...and you are gonna be a great mother.."
They arrived to the hospital...Nate called Kate, Jinny, Magda, and Raina...Raina came as soon as Nate called...CD promised her she could be in the delivery room...Kate came a few hours later...then Jinny and Magda came...CD was having a long labor so everyone
just sat around talking...
Kate:"CD you are so calm..."
CD:"Im in alot of pain though...."

12pm rolled around so everyone left to get some lunch except Nate....
CD:"Nate do you think I should call my mother?...I don't want to see her but I want her to know she is going to be a Grandmother..."
Nate:"it is up to you...but I think she would want to know...I called my parents earlier...they are so happy...very suprised..but happy..."
CD asked Nate if she could be alone while she called her mother...
CD:"Hey Mom...it is me.."
Polly:"Candace!....how are you?..."
CD:"well I am in labor at the moment..."
Polly:"What???"
CD:"Im having a baby...you are going to be a Grandmother..."
Polly:"are you serious?...what about your tubes?"
CD:"yes I am serious...and apparently you can get pregnant if your tubes are tied..."
Polly:"well I am getting on the next plane to San Fransisco..."
CD:"No I don't want you to come...I just thought you should know..."
Polly:"well I am coming...I want to see my Grandchild!"
CD argued with her mom but she could not talk her out of coming...Polly was on her way...

later that evening the CD was getting closer to delivery....
CD:"oh this hurts so bad...."
Kate:"I know honey...just hang in there..."
CD:"I changed my mind...I can't do this..."
nurse:"oh there is no turning back now...this baby is coming..."
CD:"I wish she would hurry up!"
It was time for CD to start pushing so Jinny and Magda went out in the wating room..Nate, Kate, and Raina stayed to watch the baby be born....Raina looked down and saw the baby's head...
Raina:"CD!...Your baby has a head!"
Nate looked down too...the sight scared him so he just stayed by CD and held her hand...
Raina:"I gotta go tell Magda and Jinny..."
Raina stuck her head out the delivery room door and Yelled
toward the waiting room "CD'S BABY HAS A HEAD!!!!"
by now Polly was there and she was sitting with Magda and Jinny in the waiting room...they heard Raina yell...
Jinny:"Alright!!...It has a head!!!!"

Finally Hannah was born...at 9pm that night....Nate cut the cord and handed her to CD...all CD's fears went away....the nurses got Hannah all cleaned up and were moving CD to a
room...Nate took Hannah out to the waiting room so everyone else could see her...Nate handed her to Polly...
Nate:"here is your Granddaughter..."
Polly:"Oh she is just beautiful!"
Magda:"yes she is..."
Jinny(joking):"she looks like you Nate!"
Everyone went to CD's room to see how the new mom was doing....

Polly:"I cannot believe I am a Grandmother...I feel so old.."

Raina took Hannah from Jinny....

CD:"thank you so much for being here..."

Jinny, Magda and Kate left....Nate, Raina, and Polly were still there...Raina handed Hannah to Nate...
Raina:"it is getting later so I better get going too...thank you for letting me see Hannah be born..it was an amazing experience..."

Raina hugged CD and then left...CD noticed Polly looked tired....
CD:"Mom you can stay at my place if you want...my keys are in my bag..."
Nate:"yeah I will give you a lift there.."

CD wrote down the address to her new appartment and gave it to her mom....Polly kissed CD and then left the room...

CD:"of course Im still mad...but she is my Mom and I want her to have a place to stay...plus I will not have to put up with her becuase I am here..."
Nate:"you need to get some sleep yourself..."
CD(yawning):"I don't want to go to sleep..."

CD:"well Im not sleeping until Hannah does....you look tired though...you should go home and go to bed..."

CD:"Nate really I am sorry for not telling you..."
Nate:"I know...it doesn't matter...Im just glad you told me before she was born..."

Nate:"great....its weird though...the one women I thought I could not get pregnant..."

CD eventually fell asleep....a nurse came and took Hannah to the nursery...Nate slept in a chair beside CD's bed...CD and the baby were released two days later..Nate brought the two home...Polly was still at CD's...she has finished Hannah's room...
CD:"Mom you did all this!?"
Polly:"yes..isn't it great?!"
CD:"yeah it is...and you got the crib together!"
Polly:"yes..whoever started putting it together was doing it all wrong..."
Nate just blushed...
CD:"I can't believe you did all this yourself!"
Polly:"oh it was alot of fun..."

they all went into the living room and sat down...
CD:"so mom..when are you going home?"
Polly:"well...can we have talk first?"
Nate looked over at CD...
Nate:"uhh I think Hannah needs to be changed..."
Nate got Hannah and went into her room.....
CD:"What is it mom?"

Polly entered the room with the baby...she handed her to CD...

Polly:"I was going to make dinner...I need to run to the market though..."

Polly found the keys and left...CD fixed a bottle while Nate played with the baby...CD came back to the room and handed the bottle to Nate...
CD:"you wanna feed her?"

Nate started feeding Hannah....
Nate:"do you think she knows my voice from when she was inside of you?"
CD:"Im sure she does...she did have to listen to your opinion on EVERYTHING for nine months..."

CD:"I will probably wait a few weeks...Im just nervous about leaving Hannah with somone everyday..."
Nate:"yeah me too...but Im sure if we start looking now, we can find a good sitter..."
CD:"you know my mom wants to move here and take care of Hannah....I am going to tell her no though..."

CD:"I know...why couldn't she just have been there for me when I was a kid...and when Ricky raped me..."
Nate:"you can't help what happend in the past...you just have focus on things being better in the future..."

CD:"yes you have a point...I just don't know if my Mom is capable of taking care of a baby..."

CD:"my first night with a baby...I have a bad feeling about this..."
Polly:"well you never know...she might be one of those babies who sleep all night..."

The three went to the kitchen...they all sat down and began to eat...
Nate:"this is really good lasagna...and I don't say that about very many peoples lasagna!"
CD:"yeah Mom...I don't remember your lasagna ever being this good..."
Polly:"oh it is a new recipe.."

They all finished eating...Polly cleaned up and did the
dishes...Nate and CD tried to help her but she would not let them...
Nate:"I guess I better head home..."
CD:"yeah Im going to talk to Mom then go to bed..."
Nate and CD went into Hannah's room...Nate gave her a kiss...
Nate:"I don't want to leave her..."

CD:"you can come back tomorrow morning before you go to the Division..."

CD:"you can stay here until you find a good place....I will need you close, becuase I am on call most nights..."

They walked into the living room and sat on the couch...

CD(jokingly):"oooh do you have a crush on him?"
Polly:"of course not...Im an old lady!....I just noticed you two seem pretty close..."
CD:"we are....actually...he is Hannah's Father..."
Polly's jaw dropped...she had the strangest look of
shock/excitment on her face...CD just laughed at her...

Polly:"No I wasn't...you mean you two...uh...you know?
CD:"yeah..well we were more than partners for a few months..."

CD:"stuff happend...we both are so stubborn...it is mostly my fault though..."

CD:"I think I love him...no, I know I love him...it just seems too good with him...I just know something is gonna come between us and then we will never speak again...that is why I just want to keep things the way they are now..."

CD and Polly talked for a couple more hours...CD let Polly have her bed...she put an air matress on the floor in Hannah's room to sleep on...CD was suprised Hannah still hadn't waken up...she finally fell asleep herself...Polly was in the living room watching
"Matlock" when she heard a knock on the door...she looked through the peep hole and saw Nate standing there...
Nate:"hey...I was just in the neighbor hood and I thought..."
Polly cut him off...
Polly:"you miss your baby, don't you?"
Nate:"CD told you?"
Polly:"yes...come on in..."
Nate and Polly sat on the couch...
Nate:"I can leave if it is too late..."
Polly:"no stay...CD is asleep..."
Nate:"I tried to sleep...I just hate being away from Hannah..."
Polly:"well why don't you stay here tonight?...I know CD won't mind..."
Hannah had woken up so CD walked with her into the living room..
CD:"Nate, what are you doing here?"
Polly:"he wanted to be with his baby!"
Nate:"yeah do you mind if I stay here tonight?...I just want to be with Hannah her first night home..."
CD:"that's fine...here, hold her while I make a bottle..."
CD handed Hannah to Nate...
Polly:"Im need to get to bed...."

Polly got up started walking to CD's room...then she turned around...
Polly:"Nate don't give up on Candace....she will come around...she knows you two are meant to be together..."
Nate smiled...
Nate:"Im not going to give up on her..."
CD came into the room with a bottle....she sat down by Nate...
Polly:"I was just heading to bed..."
CD:"ok...goodnight..."
Polly went into CD's room and shut the door...
Nate:"can I feed her?"
CD handed the bottle to Nate...
CD:"sure..."
Nate fed Hannah...she fell back to sleep...CD and Nate took Hannah to her room..CD laid down on the air matress...Nate laid Hannah beside her and then sat in the rocking chair...
CD:"you can lay down here too, if you want...that couch is pretty uncomfortable..."
Nate laid down next to the baby....he was affriad he was going to roll over on her, so her let her sleep on his chest....

A few weeks passed..CD could not get Nate to leave...not that she wanted him to...he stayed with them a couple nights out of the week...it was time for CD to go back to work...Nate told
Kate about Hannah being his...she agreed to let CD and Nate stay partners as long as there work was not affected....CD got up early her first morning back...
Polly:"I made you pancakes and bacon!"
CD:"sounds good..."
Nate:"are you nervous?"
CD:"yes...I haven't been away from Hannah since she has been born..."
Polly:"don't worry...she will be with me...and before you know it the day will be over and you can come back home to her..."
Nate and CD finally left for work...they were running late because CD couldn't tell her baby goodbye...Nate noticed a tear fall down CD's cheek when they were driving to the Division....
Nate:"Hey cheer up!....Hannah is going to be fine with your Mother.."
CD:"I know she is...Im just going to miss her..."

As they walked into the bull pin, CD was feeling alot better...she was back at her job, which she loved...
Raina:"CD!...hey!..."
CD:"Hey Raina.."
Raina:"you are looking great!"
CD:"thanks..."
Jinny:"Its about time you came back!.."
Magda:"yeah, we missed you around here..."
CD:"I missed all of you too..."
Kate walked out of her office...
Kate:"are you ready to get back to work?"
CD:"I sure am!"

a few hours later, CD and Nate were walking out of the
interigation room...
Nate:"I can't believe he just confessed!"
CD:"I know...I was so sure he would blame his girlfriend..."
They both looked up and Polly was sitting with Raina...Jinny was holding Hannah...Nate busted out laughing..Polly was wearing a dress with sunflowers all over it and a matching hat..Hannah was also...
CD:"what are you two doing here??"
Polly:"Hannah and I are on our way to a Sunflower Girls meeting...I am switching branches since I live here now....I thought I would stop by first..."
Nate got Hannah from Jinny and took her around..showing her off to everyone he could find...
CD:"ok...when will you get home?"
Polly:"Oh it should be before you get off..."
CD:"ok, see you then..."

it't been a while since I posted on this one...I was going to just not worry about it anymore but then planet_stella(thanks!) reminded me about it and I decided I still really like this one...so here's more...:D

Hannah was now over a year old..and walking...actually, running would be a better word...she was a hyper baby...and was always into something...CD assumed having a kid would be hard, but she never knew it would be this hard...Polly got her own place..the apartment right below CD and Hannah's...CD suggested a nice place across town...WAY across town..but Polly insisted it would be better if she was in the same building...Polly kept Hannah during the day...which wore her out by the time CD got home...CD worked all day, then had to come home to Hannah...which didn't give her much of a social life..or sleep... Nate was over everyday after work...but CD still was afraid to be with him...

CD and Nate were working on some paperwork when Magda and Jinny walked in and sat at there desks....CD kept dozing off at her desk...
Nate:"why don't you go home and get some sleep?"
CD:"Nate, it wouldn't make a difference...Hannah would just want to play when I get there..and I can't say no to her..."
Nate:"she will be at your Mom's...don't even go by there..go straight to bed..."
CD:"I can't do that!"
Jinny:"well I can take her for a couple days...Teddy is taking me to Disneyland.. he wanted to bring her anyway..but I wasn't sure if you would let her go away like that..."
CD:"well..it would be nice to have a some time to sleep...and Im sure my Mom needs the rest also..."
Nate:"are you sure you want to do that?...I don't think you have fully recovered from the last time you kept her..."
Magda:"yeah Jin....remember what happend to Hannah the last time?"
Jinny:"hey atleast you were able to get the permanent marker off of her!..Im the one who still has green scribbling on my stomach..."
CD:"Well I guess she can go...but don't say we didn't warn you..."
Nate:"so Teddy is taking you to Disneyland?...with a one year old...how romantic..."
Jinny:"we are not going for romance!..just for fun..."
Magda:"well I think it is romantic..."

After work, CD picked Hannah up from Polly's apartent....Polly was glad she had a couple days to rest...chasing Hannah around everyday tired her out....CD walked up to her apartment with Hannah squirming in her arms...Nate was there waiting..
Hannah saw Nate and yelled "DADA!" and reached out her arms...
Nate:"hey baby!.."
CD:"Mom just gave her chocolate!"
Nate:"oh great....can't she just tell her no?"
CD:"not when it comes to chocolate..."
Nate laughed...
Nate:"I have no idea who she gets that from..."
CD and Nate packed a bag for Hannah...Jinny would be over later to pick her up...
CD:"Im nervous about letting her go...what if she gets sick or something...or scared.."
Nate:"if she gets sick, they will know what to do...and she won't get scared...she loves Jinny and Teddy...just relax..."
The three of them sat on the couch waiting for Jinny and Teddy to come...Hannah had her bottle in one hand and a cookie in the other...she was speaking in baby talk to them...they assumed she was just telling them about her day...Jinny and Teddy knocked at the door...CD answered it and let them in...
Teddy:"is she ready for DISNEYLAND!!...?"
Nate handed her over to Jinny..
CD:"yeah she's ready..."
CD and Nate kissed Hannah goodbye...she didn't even cry when they left...she loved Jinny and Teddy...she called them both "nee" because she couldn't talk much yet...

Nate:"you wanna go have dinner somewhere?"
CD:"you mean you don't have a date tonight?"
Nate had finally decided to start back dating...he figured CD was never going to want to be with him...she was too hung up on not wanting to lose him as a partner...
Nate:"you mean Shelly?...no not tonight..."
CD:"oh...I figured you would spend the next two days with her..being Hannah is going to be gone..."
Nate(angry):"do you want to go to dinner or not?!"
CD:"fine..."
CD went to her room to change...

CD:"I know...but maybe I should just call and check on her..."
She pulled out her cell phone...

He took the phone out of her hand and sat it on the table...
CD:"Nate you don't understand!...you are not with her like I am...this is my first night without her...."
Nate:"well its not my fault I can't be with her everynight!..I could if you would let me!..."
the waiter came and brought them their food...
CD:"lets not get into that now!..."
Nate's cell phone rang and he answered it...
Nate:"Hey Shelly...yeah....thats good....oh Im having dinner with my partner....yeah...a few hours...maybe later..I don't know....ok...talk you you then...bye..."
he hung up and put the phone back into his pocket....
CD:"that was Shelly, huh?"
Nate:"yes..."
CD:"If you want to be with her I understand...I need to get some sleep anyway..."
Nate:"no I want to have dinner with you..."
CD smiled and began to eat...a few minutes later, Nate went to the restroom...CD decided to call Jinny and check on Hannah...

Jinny was giving Hannah a bath when she heard the phone ring...she got Hannah out of the tub and wrapped her in a towel..she sat her on the bed and answered the phone...
CD:"hey Jin...I was just checking up on Hannah..."
Jinny:"she's fine...I just gave her a bath...HANNAH!!...CD hold on a sec..."
Hannah had jumped off the bed and was running around the room naked...Jinny grabbed her and held her under one arm...
Jinny:"ok Im back..."
CD:"what happend??"
Jinny:"Hannah was just running around naked..."
CD laughed...
CD:"she loves to do that...."
Jinny:"we are leaving early in the morning...do you think she will sleep on the way there?"
CD:"most likely...she always sleeps in the car...."
Jinny held the phone to her ear with her shoulder...she grabbed a diaper and tried to put it on Hannah..but Hannah kept squirming and making it impossible for Jinny to get the diaper on....
Jinny:"I can't get this diaper on her!"
CD:"that is why Nate is always over...just to help me get a diaper on that kid..."

Jinny:"I always figured he was over for other reasons..."
CD:"shut up Jinny....."
Jinny:"do you want to talk to Hannah?..."
CD:"yeah..."
Jinny handed the phone to Hannah...she said "mommy!" when she heard CD's voice on the other end of the phone...she talked to CD for a few minutes...baby talk of course...then she handed the phone to Jinny and proceeded to run around naked...Jinny called Teddy to come in and help her...Teddy was able to catch Hannah...Jinny told CD bye and held Hannah while Teddy put on her diaper...

Nate saw CD on the phone when he was walking back to the table...
Nate:"who was that?"
CD:"..my boyfriend...Brad..."
Nate:"yeah right!...it was Jinny, wasn't it?"
CD:"yeah so what!....I just wanted to say goodnite to my baby..."
Nate:"well you should have kept her on the line...I wanted to tell her goodnite too..."
Nate and CD finished eating...Nate paid the check and they left...he went back to CD's place with her....

CD had a shower and got into bed...she was used to snuggling to Hannah everynight, so she hugged a pillow...a tear fell down her face...she missed her baby..and she wanted Nate....it felt wierd being all alone...finally she sat up and grabbed the phone...she dailed Nate's number...she knew he was with Shelly, but called anyway...Nate answered the phone...he hadn't been able to sleep either...
CD:"hey...its me...."
Nate"hey..."
CD:"what are you doing?"
Nate:"just trying to go to sleep..."
CD:"Im sorry...I figured you would be at Shelly's anyway..."
Nate sighed...
Nate:"CD..."
CD:"I didn't mean anything by that...I just thought thats were you would be..."
Nate:"well if you thought that is where I was going to be, then why did you call?"
CD:"I uh...well...I...I want you to come back over here...."
Nate:"you do?"
CD:"if you want to..I just..."
she started to sob...
CD:"...I miss my baby..."
Nate:"hey don't cry!..I'll be right over..."
Nate quickly got dressed and headed over to CD's again...

Hannah had finally fallen to sleep....Jinny layed her in between her and Teddy...
Teddy:"so...when are we going to get married and have a baby?"
Jinny:"here we go again..."
Teddy:"come on Jinny!...we obviously love each other...why can't we get married?"
Jinny:"Im just not ready yet....I just got out of a marriage...."
Teddy:"over a year ago!...we don't have forever to have a baby you know?"
Jinny:"yes Teddy!...you don't have to keep reminding me that my biological time clock is ticking!...I know Im not getting any younger...."
Teddy:"then lets have a baby!...even if we are not married...we can do that whenever you are ready..."
Jinny:"what about my career?"
Teddy:"what about it?...Magda did it just fine...CD is doing it just fine..."
Jinny:"yeah but they have their mothers helping them..."
Teddy:"we have my mother...."

Jinny:"oh yeah!...I can see it now...she will have our baby at the country club eating caviar and sipping champagne....

Nate arrived to CD's...she let him in...
CD:"thanks for coming....I miss Hannah when Im alone..."
Nate:"it's ok....I wanted to come back...."
They sat on the couch and talked for a while...about a case they were on and Hannah...
CD:"she is just like you..."
Nate:"yeah..my parents say the same thing..."
CD:"she has an opinion about everything...just like you...and I can't even understand what she is saying!..."
Nate:"I think it is some kind of alien language...."
they both sat for a while...unsure what to talk about now...CD finally got up the courage to ask him what she had been wanting to ask him for a while...
CD:"Nate?"
Nate:"yeah.."
CD:"do you want to have sex?"
Nate:"What!!??"
she just gave him a "do you or don't you?" look...
Nate:"uhh...yeah...."
CD:"but nothing else....this doesn't mean I want us to be a couple or anything...."
Nate didn't want to just sleep with her, he wanted to be her husband...but he knew if he wanted her, now was the time to really show her how he felt...
CD:"well?"

CD led him to her bedroom...she right away began stripping off his clothes...
CD:"oh god Nate....do you realize the last time I done this, it was with you?"
Nate:"what!?..whoa!...that was almost....what?....two years ago?"
CD:"yep...I hope I can even remember what to do...uhh wait a sec...do you have a condom?...I love Hannah...but Im not going through another pregnancy..."

She pretty much seduced him after that....he didn't mind it though....he was just happy to be with her....

Jinny, Teddy, and Hannah got up early the next morning and left for Disneyland... Hannah slept and sang the whole way there....
Jinny:"I have never been to Disneyland before...."
Teddy:"you are going to have so much fun!....its the greatest place on earth!"
Jinny:"...once Magda and I had a case...this guy was using girls to swallow condoms with cocaine in them...he told the girl that we caught that he would send her to Disneyland for smuggling them in...."

CD had finally gotten Nate to leave after breakfast...after sitting around pouting all day, CD finally admited to herself that she was a little happy she and Nate could finally be a couple and Hannah could have her Daddy all the time...she wasn't going to let Nate know he had won just yet though...she wanted him to suffer a while...

It was late that evening and Jinny, Teddy, and Hannah were on there way to the hotel...
Teddy:"didn't you have fun?"
Jinny:"yeah it was great....I really loved those tea-cups..."
Teddy:"I knew you would...."
he looked back at Hannah who was fast asleep in her car-seat...
Teddy:"...Hannah had a great time also....we do not have to worry about her keeping us up tonight..."
Jinny:"yeah...I think meeting mickey was her favorite..."
Teddy:"Im glad we brought her..."
Jinny:"me too..."
Teddy:"we will have to bring our kids one day..."
Jinny smiled...

they brought Hannah home the next morning...Nate came over to CD's to see her when she got there...CD ignored him mostly...she didn't want him to think his asking for a new partner made her change her mind....CD and Nate ran outside when they got there...Teddy took Hannah out of her car-seat and handed her to Nate...
Nate:"look who it is!!"
Hannah:"Daddy!"
CD:"hey get over here!..."
CD took her from Nate...

Nate took her back from CD...
they told Jinny and Teddy thanks and goodbye....then they went inside and played with Hannah....

CD was nervous when Monday Morning approached..she figured she would get partnered with Raina...but she was so scared Kate would have to transfer Nate...she and Nate happend to be walking into the bullpin at the same time...
Nate:"so you gonna go talk to cap with me?"
CD:"I guess so...she is going to want a explanation..."
they walked to Kate's office...she motioned for them to come in..
Kate:"what can I do for you two?"
Nate:"we need to talk to you..."
CD:"HE need to talk to you..."
CD was felt so embarassed to be telling her captain she had had an affair with her partner...it was so un-like her...

They all road there together....CD was thinking about how glad she was Angela was back...she wasn't Nate, but she was a good cop..and she didn't have to get to know some new person...Angela was also thinking about how much CD had changed...she was so much more easy-going...and nice...she knew it must be because of Nate...they arrived at Julios...they were seated...then they all ordered...
Raina:"so why aren't you partners anymore?"
CD:"because Nate is an ass..."
Nate:"ha ha...no because CD and I are more than partners...if you know what I mean..."
CD:"no you are just Hannah's father..and thats it..."
Raina:"so it IS true!...Magda owes me twenty bucks..."

they all ate and talked....Raina and Angela got into conversation about being black female cops....CD was trying to ignore Nate but he was bugging her....

he started to kiss her on her mouth...
Nate:"lets put Hannah in her room and we can get into your bed..."
CD:"we can try but she will cry if she wakes up and realizes she is not in bed with me..."

CD got Hannah and put her in her crib...she walked back into her room..Nate was already waiting on the bed undressed...
CD:"you don't waste any time, do you?"
Nate:"well we gotta hurry..."
Nate pulled her down on the bed with him and start stripping her...they did alittle foreplay and then started to get to it when they heard Hannah cry on the baby moniter...
CD:"I gotta go get her..."

he got off of her...she put on a robe and walked into Hannah's room...she got Hannah and brought her back to her room...Nate put a pillow over himself...she held her for a while and she finally fell back to sleep...
CD:"lets go to the couch..."

they went to the couch and got back to what they were doing...they both finally climaxed and Nate collapsed on top of her...CD looked over and Hannah was walking into the living room crying again...she pushed Nate off of her and grabbed the throw off the couch and wrapped it around her...
Hannah:"mommy..."
CD:"come here baby..."
Hannah walked over and climbed into CD's lap...
Hannah:"ba ba..."
CD:"she wants her bottle..."
Nate:"I'll get it..."
Nate went and put on his boxers and then made Hannah's bottle...the three of them got into CD's bed...Nate gave Hannah her bottle...after drinking that, she was wide awake...CD and Nate were both tired...but Hannah kept them up talking her alien talk,as Nate called it...

Magda and Jinny waited for everyone to arrive to the bullpin...they decided to tell everyone the news together...Jinny had a long talk with Teddy the night before...he proposed..she accepted but she told him she didn't want to get married just yet...she was still scared...but she had to admit she was alittle excited...expecailly since her and Magda were both pregnant at the same time...

Angela and Raina were already at the Division...waiting for there late partners to arrive...they chatted for awhile...finally CD and Nate got there..everyone could tell they didn't get much sleep the night before...Magda got Kate to come out to the bullpin so both her and Jinny could make their announcement...
Magda:"ok..everyone..Jinny and I have some news..."
Kate:"oh no....don't tell me you two have had an affair also and you need new partners?"
Jinny gave her a wierd look...
Jinny:"eww no...actually...we are pregnant!"

CD:"thank you for asking for a new partner....that should have happend a long time ago..."
Nate:"well atleast it worked out for the best....you got Angela back....and I got Raina..."
they got into the car and begin to drive....
CD:"so how is Raina working out?"
Nate:"good actually....we see eye to eye on alot of things....and she gives good love advice..."
CD laughed....
CD:"you ask Raina for love advice?"
Nate:"hey it must be working!....you just asked me to move in with you..."

they arrived home...Nate went ahead to their appartment and CD went to get Hannah...
CD:"how was your date?....I was too busy to call you today..."
Polly:"oh it was wonderful!"
CD:"who is the lucky guy?"
Polly(nervously):"uhh...well you don't know him...he's from my garden club..."
CD:"oh...well...are you going to see him again?"
Polly:"Im not sure....maybe tomorrow night..."

After dinner, Nate started playing with Hannah...CD decided to take out the trash...she would make Nate do it..but him and Hannah looked so cute together...she put the trash in the dumpster..on her way back up, she saw a man heading toward her mothers appartment...he was a tall man..she couldn't
really see him in the dark...but something about him seemed familiar....

later that night, CD and Nate had finally gotten Hannah to sleep....she layed snuggled in between the two of them...
Nate:"do you think she will ever sleep in her own room?"
CD:"yeah....when she's about nine...."
Nate:"nine!?"
CD laughed...
CD:"thats what I read in a baby book...."
Nate:"so we will never get to have sex again, will we?"
CD:"oh Im sure we will find a way to do it every now and then..."
Nate:"you know, we have plenty of people who loves to babysit her...my Mom would love for her to come spend a weekend with her and Dad...."
CD:"I know Nate..I just don't like for her to be away from me...its bad enough I have to work so much....I like to have all the time I can with her...."
Nate:"me too...Im so glad we have her...she is just perfect...."
CD:"yeah she is..."
a tear fell down CD's face...
CD:"I can't believe I was going to get an abortion...."
Nate:"hey now...all that matters is that you didn't..."
CD:"yeah but what if I had went through with it...we wouldn't have her..."
Nate:"CD you can't keep saying "what if?"...it will drive you crazy...you were just scared when you found out you were pregnant...but you made the right decision and now we have our baby..."
CD smiled...
CD:"you always know just what to say to make me feel better..."
Nate:"thats because I love you..."
CD:"and I love you too..."
they shared a nice long kiss...then they both fell fast asleep snuggled close to their baby...

the next morning Hannah woke CD and Nate up at 5am....she was crying...so CD felt her forehead and she was burning up with a fever...they quickly got up and got dressed....CD checked Hannah's temp and it was 104...
Nate:"we don't have time to call the doctor...we should take her to the ER...."
CD:"yeah...lets stop by Moms first to let her know whats going on...."
they ran down to CD's moms to tell her about Hannah...after a few knocks, Polly finally came to the door...she let CD and Nate in....
Polly:"whats going on?"
CD:"Hannah has a fever so we are taking her to the ER..."
Nate:"its 104 and we didn't want to take any chances..."
Polly:"Oh my God thats high!...you need to hurry and get her there..."
all of a sudden an older mans voice yelled from the
bedroom "Polly!?...is everything ok?..."
Polly yelled back...
Polly:"oh..uh..yes..I'll be right there..."
CD gave her mother a strange look...
Nate:"we better go to the hospital..."
Polly:"ok I will be down there in just a bit...."
CD and Nate quickly drove to the hospital....

when they arrived, Hannah was taken to the back for an examination...she was still crying and CD was freaking out...she did not know what to do...usually when her baby cried all she had to do was pick her up and she would stop..but now she just kept screaming....the doctor gave Hannah a shot to lower her fever and calm her down...CD and Nate waited for him to come back with the results... Hannah was sleeping from the medication...
CD:"I hope she is ok..."
Nate:"she was probably just alittle sick...that happens to babies sometimes..."
CD:"yeah your right..."
they sat in silence for a while...CD spoke up...
CD:"I can't believe my Mother had a guy over...'
Nate:"well...Polly has to get layed too..."
she slapped his shoulder...
CD:"that is so sick!"
Nate:"its true!..."
CD:"I wonder who it was....he sounded so familar..."
Nate:"who knows...its probably the mail man..."
CD:"the mail man is a women..."
Nate:"oh yeah...shes hot..."
CD rolled her eyes...finally Polly arrived to the room where they were waiting...
Polly:"is she ok?"
CD:"the Doctor hasn't told us what is wrong yet....they gave her a shot...It made her go to sleep but I don't think it helped the fever...she still feels pretty warm..."
Polly pulled up and chair and sat next to CD and Nate...
Polly:"um...Im sorry about ealier..."
CD:"you mean the guy in your room?"
Polly:"yes that..."
CD:"oh its ok....its not like I have never heard a strange man in your room before..."
Polly:"CD you know..."
Nate cute her off...
Nate:"here comes the doctor..."
the doctor came into the room and sat down...
CD:"is Hannah ok?"
Doctor:"well actually...it appears she has some kind of viral infection..we are not positive yet..."
Nate snapped...
Nate:"well when will you be positive!?"
Doctor:"we have to run some more tests...and we need to put her in the p-icu...they shot didn't seem to bring her fever down..."
they transferred Hannah to the p-icu...CD, Nate, and Polly nervously watched as the nurses took care of Hannah...
CD:"I need to call captain and tell her we will not be in today..."
Nate:"ok...."
Polly:"I will run downstairs and get us all some coffee..."
Polly left...CD walked outside and called Kate....Kate told them to take all the time they need and keep her informed on how Hannah is doing....

After a day in the hospital, Hannah's fever finally came down...she was still sick but they let her go home...CD took a couple days off to take care of her...Nate got the honor of working with both Raina and Angela....they were on there way back from a crime scene...Nate let the ladies have the front...he sat in the back listening to their conversation...
Angela:"definatly Denzel Washington..."
Raina:"no way!....Morris Chestnut is WAY better looking..."
Angela:"what do you think Nate?"
Nate(joking):"I can't choose...they are both so hot..."
They arrived back to the Division...Nate was so glad...no more girl talk...Magda and Jinny were sitting at there desks discussing baby names....
Magda:"I like the name "Crumpet" for a girl"
Jinny made one of her faces....
Jinny:"Crumpet???"
Magda:"yeah..."
Jinny:"what the hell?...that kid will get picked on big time..."
Magda:"well what do you have in mind for yours?"
Jinny:"I haven't really thought about it...Teddy already has a list of names...he's so excited..."
Magda:"yeah Gabe and Ben are too..."
Jinny:"do you want a boy or girl?"

Jinny:"I don't guess it matters to me either....I just hope the kid turns out normal..."

After work Nate went home to his family...CD was sitting on the couch holding Hannah...Nate came in at sat next to them...

CD:"hey...how was work?"
Nate:"oh great...what fun it is working with two women...."
CD laughed...Nate took Hannah from CD...she wasn't her usual cheerful baby- babling self since she wasn't feeling good...
Nate:"hows Daddy's baby girl?"
Hannah laid her head on Nate's chest...
CD:"she still isn't feeling well...but I think she is doing better today than she was yesterday..."
Nate:"have you found out who your moms secret guy is yet?"
CD:"no...she is just getting weirder and weirder about it....I don't know why she will not let me meet him..."
Nate:"do you know his name?"
CD:"no...she just said he is some guy from her garden club...."
she looked down at her watch....
CD:"ooh she should be home now...Im gonna run down and see how her day was..."

Nate:"Well she can take one with me...."
CD:"yeah you need a bath...you stink..."

CD punched his arm... then grabbed her coat and left for Polly's....Nate grabbed some toys for him and Hannah to play with in the tub....

CD knocked on Polly's door...Polly came to the door and was shocked it was CD...
Polly:"CD!...what are you doing here?"
CD:"I came to see how your day was..."
Polly:"oh it was ok...you know...the usual sunflower girl stuff..."
CD:"so do you have another date tonight?"
Polly:"yeah...he should be here any time now..."
CD:"I good...I wanna meet him..."
Polly:"thats probably not a good idea....he's uhh...really shy..."
CD:"so!.....I like shy people..."
Polly:"really CD...I will let you meet him when the time is right..."
CD:"why?...is it someone I know?..someone I don't like?"
Polly:"yes actually...."
CD:"who!?"
Polly:"ok I'll tell you tomorrow....I just have feeling you are going to hate me after this...."
CD:"ok fine!..."
CD left angry and went back up to her appartment....she went into the bathroom where Nate was sitting in a bubble bath and Hannah was standing pouring water over his head...
Nate:"hey Mommy!....look whos feeling better...."
CD smiled to cover her anger...
CD:"I see that...."
Nate:"whats wrong CD?"
CD:"I'll tell you later..."
Nate:"ok....you wanna join us?....we are playing Dinosours.."
CD:"Nate she's a girl....she should be playing dolls or something..."
Nate:"I know...we like to keep the dolls dry...so we play with them in her room..and we play with the dinosours in the tub..."
CD got in with them and they played for a while....

After that they had dinner and got into bed...
Nate:"so what were you upset about?"
CD:"my Mom says I know the guy and I don't like him....that is why she is keeping him a secret...."
Nate:"who do you think it is..."
CD looked down....
CD:"I have a feeling it is Rickey...do you think she would do that?"
Nate:"I don't know...I don't want to think she would...."
CD:"oh who am I kidding...she let him rape me....of course she would do something like this...."
Nate:"lets not jump to conclusions....."
CD:"oh I know its him....who else would make me hate her if she went out with him?"
Nate:"I have an idea...lets get dressed...."
CD(confused):"uh ok...."
they both got dressed....
Nate:"ok...you stay here with Hannah..Im gonna get the bonoculars out of the car...Im gonna go around to your Mom's window and see if it is someone I know or not....if it isn't...you can go see who it is...."
CD:"ok..."

Nate went to the car and got the bonoculars...then he went around to Polly's window...he saw her and a man sitting on the couch...they looked like they were in a serious
conversation....Nate quickly ran back up to their appartment...CD jumped up when he came through the door...
CD:"well!?"
Nate sighed...
Nate:"I have no clue who that guy was....he looked about your moms age...I guess..."
CD knew then that it was Rickey....CD felt a tear run down her cheek....
CD:"I can't believe her!...I reallly thought she cared about me now..."
Nate sat down and put his arm around her....
Nate:"Im sorry CD..."
CD yanked the bonoculars from his hand...
CD:"Im gonna go see what that b@stard looks like now...I hope he's fat and bald!"
She left the appartnent and went downstairs...she arrived by Polly's window....she took a deep breath and looked into the bonoculars...first she saw Polly...then she looked over....her jaw dropped...she walked back up to her appartment...schocked...
Nate:"well?...has he aged?"
CD just sat on the couch next to Nate and Hannah....
Nate:"did it shock you to see him after all of this time?"
CD looked over at Nate...
CD:"it wasn't even him!"
Nate looked at her confused....

CD:"it was my Father!"

CD's heart raced as she walked to Polly's appartment....she had no idea what she was going to say to her Dad...she knew she wanted to yell at him for leaving her and Polly...but deep down she wanted to just hug him too...she knocked on Polly's door...all of a sudden she chocked...now she wished she hadn't come down here...she decided to just ask for milk and pretend to not even recognize her Father...Polly opened the door...
Polly:"oh hey..."
CD:"we are out of milk and Hannah is whining...can I borrow some?..."
Polly:"uhhh....yeah of course..."
Polly couldn't just let her daughter wait outside in the cold...she told her to come on in...she knew CD was gonna flip out when she saw Bill...CD followed Polly to the living room...Bill stood up when he saw his now 35 year old daughter enter...CD just smiled and said Hi like she was just passing some stranger on the street...she went ahead to the kitchen and got the milk...
Bill:"I don't think she knows who I am..."
Polly:"well you think she is just going remember who you are after 25 years?"
CD put some milk into a container and went back to the living room...she hugged Polly and said goodnight and quickly left again before anyone could say anything...sure hurried back up to her place...she put the milk in the fridge and went into the bedroom...she put on her pj's and climbed into bed....Nate and Hannah had already fallen to sleep....with dinosours in the bed with them...

The next morning Nate left for the Division..CD did not have to go back until a the next day...she got up and made Nate breakfast like a little housewife...she wouldn't admit it, but she liked doing stuff like that for him...he ate and left...Hannah was still asleep...CD decided to clean up around the appartment....she heard a knock on the door...she answered it...it was Polly....
CD:"hey..."
Polly:"hey...I guess I better tell you about that guy...."
CD:"come on in...."
CD and Polly went and sat on the couch...
Polly:"CD...that man was Bill...your Dad..."
CD sighed....
CD:"I know..."
Polly:"why didn't you say anything?"
CD:"I didn't know what to say..."
they both sat in silence for a while...
CD:"I thought it would be Rickey you were seeing..."
Polly:"Oh no!...I would never do that!....I never ever want to see that man again..."
CD:"but how can you date...Dad...after what he did?...and not even tell me?"

Polly:"about a month ago, Bill called me...he got my number from some old friends we had when we were together...he was looking for you...he said he wanted to see you....I told him to come here and talk to me before I told him where you lived...I wanted to make sure he had good intentions...we went out to dinner...and it was like, all these old feelings back...."
CD:"why does he want to see me after all this time?"
Polly:"I think you better talk to him about that...."
CD:"I don't want to talk to him!"
Polly:"you really should...everyone deserves a second chance...."
CD:"no...he left us...I can't stand him..."
Polly:"he's really sorry CD...I swear...just talk to him...please?"
CD:"he probably just needs money or something...Im not talking to him..."

Hannah walked into the living room carrying an empty bottle...
Polly:"hey sleepy head!..."

Hannah ran and jumped into her Grandmothers lap...she handed the empty bottle to her mom...CD got up and got her some juice....she came back and handed the bottle to her...
Polly:"well....you have two younger sisters...teenagers.....their Mother died when they were young...so your Dad is raising them alone..."
CD(sarcasticly):"oh how Fatherly of him..."

Jinny had the day off as well....she woke up that morning to a loud sound...it was music coming from the guest room...Jinny got up to see what was going on...she walked into the guest and saw Teddy painting the walls...he was wearing a white wife-beater and some jeans...he also had a tool belt on and paint all over his arms...Jinny giggled alittle at how cute he looked but was still confused about what he was doing...
Jinny:"uhh why are you painting the walls blue?"
Teddy:"oh hey Jin....sleep well?"
Jinny:"uhh yeah...but would you mind explaining why the walls are blue and the carpet is ripped up?"
Teddy put down his paint brush...he had blue paint on his forehead...
Teddy:"well last night I had a dream..well more like a vision..of how our baby's room should be...so I just went with it...I know you want to do the baby's room too...but I really think you will like what I have in mind..."
Jinny:"uhh Teddy...I just found out I was pregnant....and you are painting the room blue....what if we have a girl?"
Teddy:"oh we are having a boy..."

Polly was finally able to talk CD into having lunch with her Dad...she got Hannah dressed and took her the park....CD nervously got dressed herself....it was so weird..she hadn't seen her Dad since she was 10...she could barley even remember what his perasonality was like...she grabbed her keys and left for the resturant Polly told her to meet him at....He was already there when she arrived...she walked up to where he was sitting...he stood up to greet her...they just stared at each other for a couple seconds, then Bill grabbed CD and hugged her...CD broked away and sat down....Bill sat down also and decided to break the akward silence....
Bill:"you turned into a beautiful women..."
CD sighed...
CD:"why are you here?"
Bill:"I wanted to see you..."
CD:"but why?"
Bill:"because your my Daughter...."
CD:"well I don't really want to see you....Im just here to tell you what I think about you..."

Bill:"I know you hate me..."
CD:"damn right I do...."
Bill:"Candace...Im sorry..."
CD:"apology not accepted....but I do want to know one thing...why did you just leave?"
Bill:"I left because I was a bad man then..."

CD:"Im not 10 anymore...Im an adult...I can handle it..."
Bill:"oh...sorry...well...when you were about 8 or so...I got hooked on drugs pretty bad...I don't know if you noticed....I became real bitter...your Mom and I faught all the time...about everything....I got to where I would use the money for bills to support my habit...your mom was nagging me...so I started cheating on her..then I got to where the drugs were the only thing that mattered....so I left..."
CD:"so what are saying?...its Mom's fault?"
Bill:"no...of course not...it was my fault....I really had a problem...then a few years later I got a DUI and was sentenced to a year in jail...during that time I got sobor and realized I didn't want that kind of life...so after my jail time was over, I went to re-hab...I have been clean ever since...."
CD:"but why didn't you come back after you got clean?"
Bill:"I tried....your Mom had found someone else...and she didn't believe I had really changed...I don't blame her though..I did her so badly....she told me this new guy was great....and you really liked him and forgotten all about me...so I figured it was too late to make things right with you again...."
CD just sat taking in all he was telling her...
Bill:"...then a few years after that....I met my second wife....Sandy...we had two Daughters....Caitlyn and Cassidy...she died in a car crash back in '92..."
CD:"but why are you waiting until now to find me?"
Bill:"I thought about finding you everyday...but I just kept telling myself it was too late....and years kept going by....and then last year I had a heart attack...and that made me realize I had to find you and make things right...life is short and I don't won't mine to end without you in it...."
CD sighed...
CD:"I can't just pretend everything is ok....."
Bill:"I understand....but I do love you...very much...and I think about you all the time...Caitlyn and Cassidy have always known about you....they have always wanted me to find you....I was just afraid...."
CD:"how old are they?"
Bill:"Cassidy is almost 15...Caitlyn is 18....they look alot like you...Cassidy is tall like you...Caitlyn's personality is more like yours....or atleast how I remembered it..."

CD:"I have changed alot since we last saw each other..."
Bill:"yeah your mom has told me all about you...."
CD:"oh no..."

CD:"like I said....it was nice talking to you...but I have been doing just fine without a Dad for the last 25 years..."

CD:"yeah...."
CD grabbed her coat and walked off...apart of her believed him...but the other part didn't want to let herself trust him after him walked out all those years ago....

Angela:"well I went through Calvin's baby clothes as well....so whoever has a boy can have those..."

they all laughed and went back to work...

After work CD did like always, she stopped by Polly's to get Hannah...Nate and Raina had to work late on a case...she knocked on the door...she was suprised when Bill opened the it...
Bill:"Hi Candace..."
CD walked in passed him...
CD:"uh why are you here?"
Polly walked in to the living room now, hearing what CD had asked....
Polly:"we are going bowling...."
CD:"why!?"
Polly:"we just want to...its our 5 week anniversery..."
CD rolled her eyes...
CD:"how romantic...where's my baby?"
Bill:"she's watch a video....hey, you wanna come with us?"
CD:"no thanks...I already told you...I don't want a relationship with you..."

Bill:"ok...well...I'll go get Hannah for you..."
Bill left to get Hannah...

CD:"Mom!...him leaving us all alone was mean!"

Polly:"..if you come...I'll keep Hannah tonight....I know she doesn't give you and Nate time alone..."
CD had to think about this for a while...she and Nate hardly ever get to have sex..and when they do its quick....Polly had to giggle because she knew what CD was thinking....
CD:"well won't you have Dad over tonight anyway?...."
she made a "ewww gross" look...
Polly:"no he's gotta fly back to your sisters....he left them home alone and the neighbors called earlier....they had some kinda party last night and your Dad wants to ground them and make sure the house is still standing..."

Polly:"I think so.....so are you coming with us?"

CD:"I guess...only because me and Nate need a night alone...but Im gonna take Hannah to the station...Nate and his partner are just finishing up paper work...so he can watch her there..."

Polly:"Candace you should show your Dad where you work...."
CD:"why?...its just a police station....no big deal..."

CD figured what the hell...Bill would be leaving tonight and she wouldn't have to see him anymore...the four of them where in the elevator on their way to the bullpin...
Bill:"this place is exciting....I thought about becoming a cop once..."
Polly:"...but he knocked me up..."

CD:"so what do you do?"
the elevator doors opened and they began walking...
Bill:"I work for the water company....going around checking meters...repairs...stuff like that...not as exciting as being a cop...but I like it..."
they walked into the bullpin...Nate, Raina, and Angela were sitting around gossiping and doing paperwork....
CD:"hey...look what I brought....."
Nate:"wow..the whole family..."
CD introduced Bill to everyone..
CD:"we are going bowling...I figured I could leave Hannah here with you.."
Raina:"yay!..."
Raina grabbed Hannah from CD....
Nate:"you are going bowling?..."
Nate laughed...
Polly:"yeah its mine and Bill's 5 month aniversery..."
Nate had to hold in his laugher...he could see CD was annoyed and embarassed with her parents...
Raina:"Well we should be done here in an hour...."
Angela:"Nate promised to take us out for a beer...but I guess it will have to wait till tomorrow night since we have Hannah..."
CD:"aww I wish Nate was that nice to me..."
Nate:"hey Im REALLY nice to you!"
CD:"yeah yeah....I'll see you later..."
They told everyone goodbye and left for the Bowling ally....CD felt like a complete idiot when they got there...she was still dressed for work..not your typical bowling attair...Polly made her play even though she didn't want to...Polly and Bill were being all lovey-dovey...she couldn't understand how her mother could forgive him and act like everything is ok....they played a couple hours...Bill and Polly reminised about old times...CD was just ready to go home to Nate...

Meanwhile back at the Division, Nate, Raina, and Angela were still working on that paperwork...Kate had Hannah...she was trying to give her some of her yogurt...
Kate:"here you go...this is reallllly good..."
Hannah turned her head away...
Kate:"you don't like yogurt?"
Hannah:"cookie!"
Kate:"you want a cookie?....I don't think I have any cookies..."
Hannah:"cookie doggie cookie doggie...mommy daddy...cookie..."
Kate:"ok lets go find something in the vending machine..."
Kate carried Hannah out of her office...
Kate:"Nate, I tried to give her yogurt but she didn't want it...she kept saying cookie..."
Nate:"yeah thats one of the few words she knows..."
Kate:"I was gonna get her something out of the vending machine...what is she aloud to have?..."
Nate:"oh just give her anything....thats what I do to get her to be quiet...don't tell CD though..."

she went over to the vending machine and got Hannah a chocolate bar...

when CD got home, Hannah was asleep and Nate had just finished cooking...
CD:"wow...you cooked..."
Nate:"and you said Im not nice to you...Ha!..."
she walked over to and put her arms around him...
CD:"Im sorry...you are too nice to me..."
He kissed her nose and smiled...
CD:"guess what?"

CD:"Mom said she will keep Hannah tonight so we can...."

he then winked at her...she slapped his arm...

Nate:"just wrap her up in her blanky and take her down there...she won't wake up...we really need a night alone..."
CD:"yeah your right....just as soon as we start getting it on, she will wake up...."
CD went back to the living room and bundled Hannah up....she then took her down to Polly's...Bill was just getting ready to leave...
Bill:"I guess this is goodbye..."
CD:"yep...listen, Im sorry for being kinda a bitch to you...but I just can't forget that you left..."

CD walked out the door...she really just wanted to get back to Nate....when she got back to their appartment, Nate had the food on the table...they sat down and ate the late dinner...afterwards Nate picked her up and carried her to their room...

CD:"and make as much noise as we want!"
Nate threw her on the bed...then he started pulling his clothes off...
CD:"whats the rush!?...we have all night...we can do it slow for once...."
he smiled and got on the bed with her....they did it there for a while....then they went to the shower...then back to the bed...then in the kitchen floor...then back to the bed a couple times till finally the both fell asleep...

Jinny and Teddy sat patiently in the waiting room of her Doctor's office...
Teddy:"what do you think of the name "Theodore Alexander Jerimiah Blumenthal"?..."
Jinny:"I think our kid is gonna have three names like every other normal person..."
Teddy:"ok..then how about just "Theodore Alexander Blumenthal?"
Jinny:"Teddy we have seven months to figure out a name...."
Teddy:"yeah but I think we should start deciding now...to make sure we have the perfect one...."
Jinny:"ok then..let's talk about girl names..."
Teddy:"well we aren't having a girl but I guess we can think of names too..."

the nurse then came and called them back...the Doctor examined Jinny...he also did her first ultra-sound...
Doctor:"ok right there is your baby...."

Teddy:"right where???"
Doctor pointed to the spot again....
Teddy:"I still don't see it..."
Jinny:"right THERE Teddy!"
Teddy:"ohhh I see it now....that little dot is our baby?"
Doctor:"yep...it won't look like an actually baby for a couple months...."
Teddy:"wow!...can you tell us the sex?"
Doctor:"no not yet...."

CD:"of course not...why would I be nervous!?"

Bill, Caitlyn, and Cassidy were on their way to Polly's in a taxi...
Bill:"ok I want the both of you to act like respectable young ladies..."

Bill, Caitlyn, and Cassidy arrived to Polly's an hour later. Bill introduced CD to her sisters and then they all went out to eat. The waiter came and the all ordered their drinks.

"So, do you girls like school?" CD asked and handed Hannah over to Nate.

"I don't, I'm the dumb one in the family." Cassidy replied

CD laughed "I bet that's not true!"

"no, it is true. She is dumber than a rock!" Caitlyn laughed.

Nate laughed and adjusted Hannah in his arms. "That's a nice thing to say about your little sister!"

"I must say, Caitlyn is the one with a strong head on her shoulders. She is a freshman in college, and She is attending on a full scholarship!" Bill said proudly

"Wow that is great!" Polly exclaimed

"..well I got a B on my Biology report.." Cassidy mumbled

"That's great too!" CD high-fived her little sister. "I never liked school either."

They all got their food and began to eat. Nate wasn't having much luck with Hannah. She of course only wanted a cookie. Finally he handed her over to CD and she was able to get her to eat some chicken.

"You guys are cops!?" Caitlyn asked CD and Nate amazed

"Yep.." CD nodded

"That is so cool!..Have you ever shot anyone?" Cassidy asked

"Yeah, it's awful. Especially when the person doesn't make it. But it's part of the job." CD explained

"Do you two work together?" Caitlyn asked and took another bite of her food.

"Yeah, we work at the same Division." Nate told them

CD blushed "Actually, we used to be partners, Until.."

"Aww, until you fell in love?" Cassidy asked

"yeah pretty much." Nate giggled a litte

"That is so romantic!" Cassidy exclaimed

CD laughed. "After we eat, We'll take you two down to the station, if you want."

"Oooh I have never been to a police station! Well, except for that time Caity..."
Cassidy was interupted by her sister

"We would love to see the station!" Caitlyn gave her Cassidy a look.

After they finished eating, Bill and Polly drove back to Polly's. CD, Nate, Hannah, Caitlyn, and Cassidy drove down to the Division. Nate and CD showed them around, told them about cases they had and stuff. Raina was working that day, along with the new PSA, Stacy. Raina and Stacy quickly befriended Caitlyn and invited her to a club with them that night. Cassidy was busy playing with Nate's handcuffs. Kate came out of her office and CD introduced her to her sisters. "I'm Kaitlyn with a K." Kate smiled told them. After they toured the building, they headed home and stopped for ice cream on the way there.



Meanwhile, Magda was explaining what all had happend with Gabe to Jinny. Teddy was watching the birthing video again. He was all hyped up about being a father.

"Why are you watching this?" Magda asked and wiped away her tears

"It was his bright idea. This is are second time watching it, and I'm really having second thoughts on this baby thing." Jinny told her

"Too late now Hunny!" Magda laughed

Jinny cringed. "I know, but I have no idea how I'M going to raise a child."

"Atleast you are not alone." Magda sighed

"I'm sure Gabe will come to his senses." Jinny tried to comfort her friend

"I don't think so Jin. I have never seen Gabe like that. He's mad. I don't think he is going to forgive me, ever. Not that I can blame him" Magda started to cry again.

Jinny sighed and rubbed her back. "It will be ok."


Everyone arrived back to CD and Nate's appartment. Hannah was fast asleep, so Nate put her in his and CD's bed. CD pulled out the air matress for Caitlyn and Cassidy to sleep on in Hannah's room. Caitlyn got ready to go out with Raina and Stacy. Cassidy sat on the couch with CD and Nate, pouting.

"It's not fair. She gets to have all the fun." Cassidy whined

"You just turned 15!" Caitlyn exclaimed as she walked in and sat down next to them.

"So. You always get to do whatever you want." Cassidy crossed her arms mad.

Caitlyn rolled her eyes. "I will be 19 next month. That's why I can do whatever I want. You are still a kid." At that moment Raina knocked at the door. Nate answered it and told Caitlyn it was Raina.

"Have fun. And be careful." CD hugged her sister and told her goodbye. Cassidy just ignored Caitlyn and watched her leave. Nate shut the door behind them and walked back into the living room.

"You can still have tons of fun with us." he tried to cheer Cassidy up.

"Yeah. We can watch a movie or something." CD tried also.

Nate nodded and looked through their DVD's. "Let's see here..we have various blues clues videos..Teletubies..oooh Dora!" he handed all the DVD's over to CD.
"...How to control your toddler.." Nate read the title out.."I think CD needs to watch this one a few more times..." he laughed and handed the DVD over to her.

"Shut up!" she smirked at him and helped him look. She pulled out a porno and hit Nate with it. "I told you to keep these in our room, perv!".

Cassidy couldn't help but laugh at that. Finally they found a movie they all could agree on and began to watch it. Hannah woke up and played with her toys while the others finished the movie. Evenually both Hannah and Cassidy fell asleep on the couch. CD tucked them in and she and Nate snuck back to their room.

"Finally, we have a night alone!" Nate smirked and crawled into bed with her.

"Sorry Buddy, but I'm not having sex with you with my little sister in the next room." CD told him

"Aww Come on CD! You have got to be as horny as I am! We hardly ever get to do it." he gave her is puppy dog eyes.

She giggled and kissed him. "We have GOT to get Hannah sleeping in her own room."

"Yeah. Atleast before we have another one." he grinned and brushed a lock of hair out of her face.

"You are insane! I'm not having another one!" CD laughed at him

"Why not!?" Nate pouted

"Because..I don't think I could handle another baby." she told him

"I bet if we had another baby, it would be the complete opposite of Hannah. And that might calm her down!" he laughed

"...maybe in a few years." CD smiled. "you stink, I think you need a shower, and I think I better have one with you." she grinned and winked at him.

He leaped out of the bed and practically ran to their bathroom. "I'll get the water running!"

She laughed and pulled off her clothes.

Nate and CD finally finished their shower an hour later. Nate put on some boxers and crawled into bed. CD put on her pj's and went to the living room to check on Hannah and Cassidy. They both were still fast asleep on the couch. CD smiled and went back to Nate.

"Hannah still asleep?" Nate asked

"Yep, she likes her Aunt." CD got into her side of the bed. "I wonder what time Caitlyn will be back."

Nate looked at the clock. "It's midnight. She should be back soon."

"yeah..." she paused and started to thinkg "you think my sisters like me?" CD asked him.

"Of course! You saw how amazed they were that you are a cop." he told her.

CD shrugged "Yeah but they probably think I'm dull."

Nate rolled his eyes "You are anything but dull. Do you think I would be with you if you were dull?"

CD grinned and kissed his cheek. "I love you."

" I love you more.." he grinned back

she giggled "nuh uh. I love YOU more."

They argued over who loved who more for a few more minutes. Finally they agreed that they love each other the same.

"Let's go away this weekend." Nate said as he played with her fingers.

"go away? Nate, my sisters are here. And where are we gonna leave Hannah?" She asked

"well, your sisters are going to be here for a few weeks. So you have plenty of time to spend with them when we get back." he explained

"And Hannah?" she asked

"she can stay with them." he told her

"Yeah right, I really think they would want to keep an almost 2 year old for the weekend." She rolled her eyes.

"Actually, they said they would love to." he grinned at her

"What?" she raised her eyebrow

Nate grinned and brushed some hair behind her ear. "well, when we were eating, and you went away to the restroom, I asked them, and they said they would love to. And your parents said they would help too."

"Naaaate..." she whined

"what!?... I have a suprise for you. And the only way you are going to get it, is if you go away with me this weekend." he smirked

"fine!..god, I hate it when you manipulate me!" CD groaned and turned toward the wall.

Nate laugheed and snuggled close to her. "I think you love it."

she smirked and slugged his arm. "f*cker.."

A few hours later, CD and Nate were woken up by the sound of someone knocking at the door.

"I'll get it." CD mumbled and looked at the clock. "damn, it's 4am!"

Nate just mumbled something and went back to sleep. CD grabbed her housecoat and walked to the door. She opened it, and there stood Raina holding up Caitlyn.

"whats going on!?" CD asked

"uhh well.." Raina wasn't sure what to say. "I'm really sorry CD."

"I'll call you tomorrow." CD told her and helped Caitlyn inside. Raina nodded and left.
CD took Caitlyn to Hannah's room and helped her get on her pj's. "What did you guys do?" she asked.

"had a night on the town..San Fransisco rocks!" Caitlyn said louldy.

"shh." CD said and helped her into bed. Cassidy walked in holding Hannah.

"someone's loud mouth woke her." Cassidy said as she handed Hannah over to CD. She crawled into bed with Caitlyn. "I see the alcoholic made it back." she laughed.

"Shut up f*ck face!" Caitlyn said almost asleep. CD laughed "We'll talk about the alcoholic in the morning. Goodnight."

"goodnight." Caitlyn and Cassidy said in unison. CD shut the door and she and Hannah went back to Nate. They both crawled into bed with him, and Hannah quickly jumped on her sleeping Daddy's back. "Daddy!!" she exclaimed

"Daddy doesn't wanna play right now." Nate mumbled in his pillow. CD giggled and decided she better go make Hannah a bottle or she would be up bugging Nate the rest of the night.

Nate and Hannah got up early the next morning. Nate made everyone pancakes and fed Hannah. CD and the girls got up and joined them.

"How are ya feeling this morning?" CD smirked at Caitlyn.

"Awful, I am SO sorry I came in so late last night, and drunk on top of that." Caitlyn apologized.

"It's no big deal. Just try not to do it again, ok?" CD smiled.

"I won't. Promise....and uh..could you not tell Dad? He will kill me." Caitlyn asked

Cassidy laughed. "Ha! I'm telling him!"

"You little..." Caitlyn was cut off by CD.

"We are not going to tell him. You just be good from now on." CD looked at Cassidy and then at Caitlyn.

"Fine." they both muttered at the same time. Nate was meanwhile feeding Hannah pancakes, And she was smooshing the pancakes and syrup all over her highchair and Nate's arms.

"Nate!" CD yelled at him for letting Hannah do that.

"Nate!" Hannah yelled back and giggled.

Nate frowned. "What did she call me??"

CD laughed. "I think she called you Nate, Nate!"

"But I'm not Nate, I'm Daddy!" Nate picked Hannah up out of her chair.

"Oh don't worry, she called me DD the other day." CD laughed

"Well she better not call me Nate again." He kissed Hannah's cheek and left to give her and himself a bath. A few seconds later, CD and her sisters burst out laughing when they heard Hannah say "Nate Nate Nate" again from the other room.

They all finished eating and went to get dressed. CD called Raina to yell at her for letting her little sister get wasted. Raina answered the phone and immediatly started apologizing when she heard CD on the other line.

"CD I am soooo sorry about last night. We went to a private club, where Johnny hangs out, and they don't id there, because everyone is usually 21 anyway. So before I knew it, Stacy and Caitlyn both were hammered on the dance floor!" Raina tried to explain.

CD laughed. "Well I'm not mad THIS time, but I don't want it to happen again."

"aww Big Sis!" Raina giggled.

CD rolled her eyes. "Anyway, Nate and I are going away for the weekend. So you will probably be working with Angela tomorrow." Raina said ok and then they both said goodbye and hung up. CD then called Angela and KAte and told them too.

Nate and Hannah had finished their bath. Hannah was running around naked again and CD was chasing her. She finally caught her, and she and Nate were able to get her on some clothes. They then packed for their trip.

"CD, we are going to have so much fun this weekend." Nate told her as he put some clothes into his suitcase.

"Yeah. I need a break." CD smiled and kissed his cheek. "I just hope my sisters and parents can handle Hannah."

"CD, come on. She's a toddler, I think four people can handle her." Nate laughed.

"I know. I'm just going to miss her. Maybe we should bring her with us, make it a family thing?" CD gave him puppy eyes.

"That's not going to work." he smirked. "This is going to be a romantic weekend."

CD and Nate finished packing, and then spent some time with Hannah. At noon the loaded the car and got ready to leave for the airport. Everyone went outside to see them off. Hannah didn't mind at all that her Mommy and Daddy were leaving, she was too busy playing with her Grandpa's facial hair. They all said their goodbyes, and then CD and Nate drove off. CD giggled as she looked at her family in the rear-view mirror. Cassidy and just punched Caitlyn in the arm, and Polly and Bill were trying to get Hannah to stay still and wave goodbye.

CD and Nate got on their plane to Florida. They snuggled close in their seats. CD was so happy to get to spend some time with Nate alone. They were always busy at work and with Hannah, so they could never be alone.

"so what is the big suprise?" CD grinned at Nate.

"I'm not telling..." he grinned back.

She had no idea what was up his sleeve, but she couldn't wait to find out.


Jinny and Magda sat waiting on their appointments with their OB/GYN to find out the sex of their babies. Magda had been staying with Jinny and Teddy the past couple days. Jinny enjoyed having her there. She didn't have to be pregnant alone. Mag enjoyed being with her friend, but she missed Gabe and Ben. She went over to see Ben everyday after he got out of school, but Gabe still wouldn't talk to her. Teddy was about to go nuts with two pregnant women, so he stayed at work as much as possible.

"this thing better not be a boy. I am not losing that bet." Jinny laughed.

"I hope I have a girl too." Magda smiled. "But Ben wants a brother."

The doctor called them both back. She got Magda ready first. The doctor checked her out and then started the sonogram.

"So you want to know the sex?" the Doctor asked Magda.

"Yes." Magda giggled a little.

the Doctor laughed. "Well, look at that." She pointed to an object on the screen.

"What is that?" Jinny looked at the screen confused.

"It's a penis!" the doctor exclaimed.

"A penis!" Magda said excited.

"Mag you got a penis!!!" Jinny said and hugged Magda.

"I'm so glad it is a boy!" Mag smiled real big.

Now it was Jinny's turn. She got up on the examination table. The doctor checked her too and then started the sonogram. Jinny and Magda watched the screen. The doctor looked around for a while.

"I'm sorry Jinny, your baby's legs are crossed. We won't be able to tell the sex today." She told Jinny.

"damn!" Jinny said hoping she would be able to win the bet today. "Do you know when you will be able to tell?"

"Maybe your next visit." the Doctor smiled and finished up with Jinny. They got their pictures and went out shopping for the babies.


CD and Nate's plane landed in Florida. They went to their hotel and got settled in. They went down to the pool and swam a while before going back up to their room and making love the rest of teh night.

The next day, CD and Nate got up early and had breakfast. After that they rented a boat and went out on the ocean. CD laughed at how Nate acted like he knew what he was doing. She knew about boats from when she was married to Paul, so she ended having to show Nate how the start it. He fished some while CD layed in the sun watching him. They brought their lunch with them and had a picnic on the boat. They found a spot to swim and jumped in the water. After that, they got back on the boat and headed back in to shore.

When they got to the hotel, they both showered and got ready for dinner. CD wondered what Nate's big suprise was. Nate was meanwhile very nervous about his suprise. They both ordered their dinner and sipped on wine while they waited.

"I have had a great time so far this weekend..." CD smiled at Nate.

"I'm glad." he smiled back. "I miss Hannah though."

"Me too." CD laughed.

"She can come with us next time. This weekend is just for the two of us." Nate said as the waiter brought their food. They both ate and then Nate smiled and took CD's hand. CD smiled back.

"CD...." Nate started nervously.

"Yes?" CD looked at him confused.

"I have known you for over four years now, and I have loved you since that first day we met. I didn't know it then. It took me a few months to realise how I really felt about you. And after that my love for you grew stronger everyday. When you were shot, I realised how precious you were and I never wanted to let you go." Nate explained. CD just sat and listened. " and then when we broke up, I knew it couldn't be over just like that. I think we were both confused then. And then Hannah was born, and she proved that we belonged together. And now I'm enjoying my like with you and our daughter...so the whole point of me telling you all this mushy stuff is.." Nate reached into his pocket and pulled out a small black box. He opened it and looked up at CD. "I wanna know if you will be my wife..." he smiled.

CD was shocked. She hadn't expected this. "Nate..." she sighed.

"what?" he looked at her confused.

"Don't you think it is kinda soon for marriage?" she asked.

"Kinda soon!?" he said angry. "CD! Did you not hear anything I just told you!?"

"Nate I don't think we should rush into..." Nate cut her off.

"We love each other, we live together, we have a kid! Most people are already married before they do that! We have waited long enough..." he sighed and took a deep breath. "you know what?..nevermind..thanks for ruining my proposal!" He shouted and got up and left, leaving the ring and CD sitting at the table.

CD sighed and looked at the ring. She loved Nate, but she still had this fear of committing to him. 'I'm such a bitch. He would never hurt me." She thought ther herself. She took the ring out of the box and slipped it on her finger. She paid the bill and went back up to their room. She peeked her head in the door and saw Nate laying on the bed watching tv. She went inside and sat down on the bed beside him.

"what are you watching?" CD asked softly.

Nate shrugged and continued to look at the tv screen.

CD sighed and snuggled next to him. "I'm really sorry about ruining your proposal."

"I don't want your apologies CD.." Nate muttered.

"I really am sorry. I am just afraid." she told him.

"Afraid of what!?" he yelled.

"I don't know!" she yelled back. "I guess that once we are married, I'm afraid it will not work out."

Nate rolled his eyes. "Why can't you just see that I'm not Paul!"

"I know you are not Paul!" she yelled again.

"you don't love me, do you?" he asked.

CD looked at him shocked. "Of course I love you Nate!"

"you sure don't act like it." he shook his head.

"I'm sorry baby. I do love you." she gave him puppy dog eyes and kissed his lips. "I know I'm a bitch."

Nate had to smile a little. "Yes you are."

"Hey!" CD playfully slapped his arm. "You are supposed to say 'No baby, you are not a bitch.'!"

"Oh sorry. You are not a bitch." he laughed.

"Thats better." she smiled.

Nate sighed. "I guess I better go get my ring before someone steals it."

CD grinned and held up her hand. "Someone already stole it."

Nate's eyes lit up when he saw the beautiful ring on her finger. "You put it on?"

"Isn't that what you are supposed to do when someone proposes to you?" she smirked.

"That's only if they say yes." Nate replied.

CD leaned in to kiss him again. "Yes..I'll marry you." she wispered.

Nate jumped up and stood on the bed. "You'll marry me!?"

CD jumped up and hugged him. "That's what I said!"

They both jumped around and hugged each other. The hug eventually turned into a kiss. Nate pulled CD down on the bed with him as the kiss became more passionate. He slipped the dress she was wearing over her head and began sucking on her neck. She grinned and pulled his shirt out of his pants. She un-bottoned his shirt and pulled it off his shoulders. He pulled off her bra kissed her breasts for a while. She moaned and un-buckled his pants.

"I love you so much." CD wispered and stroked over his crotch.

"I love you too." Nate moaned and pulled off her panties. He couldn't wait to be inside her, so he stood up and pulled off his pants and boxers.

"Someone is a bit impatient." CD said suductively. Nate grinned and jumped back into the bed. He crawled on top of her and kissed all down her jaw. His kissed eventually led in between her legs, which drove CD crazy. He stayed there for a while until CD pulled him up to her mouth again. He smirked and entered her. They thrust against each other and then finally came. Nate got off of CD and they snuggled close.

She held up her hand and admired her ring. "Nate, are you sure we could afford this?"

he laughed. "CD, I have had that ring for almost two years."

"You gave me another women's ring?!" she joked.

"Yeah well, she said no, so now I'm stuck with you." he smiled.

CD rolled her eyes. She layed in his arms for a while and then finally spoke up. "This is weird."

"What?" Nate asked confused.

"My life. It is so perfect now. I got you and Hannah. My Mom is semi-normal. My Dad and sisters are nice too. I'm just waiting for it all to fall apart." she sighed.

"CD! This is the way it is supposed to be. Nothing is going to fall apart. I promise you." Nate assured her.

Even though Nate couldn't predict if everything would fall apart, she still believed him."I miss Hannah." she told him.

"Me too." Nate stroked through her hair. "You ready to go home?"

CD nodded. "..but our plane doesn't leave until tomorrow night."

"I can call the airport. There might be a last minute plane leaving tonight." he reached for the phone.

CD smirked. "Thank you."

Nate called the airport, and luckily there was a plane leaving for San Fransisco in two hours. They quickly got all their things packed and went to the airport. A few hours later, they arrived to San Fransisco. CD was asleep in the passengers side, while Nate drove them home. Nate carried her halfway up the stairs to their appartment when CD woke up.

"Go on back to sleep" he told her.

"I wanna see Hannah." CD said and got down from his arms.

"I am sure she is asleep. It is 1am." he said as they walked toward Polly's appartment.

"Well I'll just carry her up to our appartment." CD said and knocked on the door.

Cassidy answered the door with a carton of ice cream in her hands. "Hey! You are back already!?" she asked.

"Yeah. We missed Hannah." CD said sleepishly.

"we are playing charades!" Cassidy exclaimed and led them in. Polly and Bill were sitting on the couch, trying to guess what Caitlyn was doing, and Hannah was sitting on the floor eating icecream.

"Mommy Daddy!" she exclaimed when she saw CD and Nate walk in.

Nate picked her up and gave her a kiss. "why is she naked?" he asked confused.

"and why is she eating chocolate ice cream at 1am!" CD said angrily.

"She figured out how to take off her diapers. So I showed her how to go to the big potty, and she seemed to understand what to do just fine. I tried putting some other clothes on her, but she wouldn't let me." Polly explained.

"She is potty trained?" Nate asked

"pretty much." Bill laughed.

"well that doesn't explain why she is up this late and eating ice cream." CD took Hannah from Nate.

"we keep putting her to bed, but she keeps getting back up!" Caitlyn told them.

CD saw how cute Hannah looked covered with chocolate ice cream. She decided this time she would let it slide, but they were all going to have to start inforcing some rules. "Are you sure you want to marry into this family?" CD asked Nate and laughed

"Yep!" Nate grinned and sat down to play charades with them.

A couple weeks went by and CD didn't plan much on the wedding. Nate wanted some huge event but CD wanted something small and simple. They had both been through that before, and she didn't want to make a fuss about this wedding.

"Come on CD! This is our wedding. It should be big." Nate begged her. They were having lunch together, along with Angela and Raina, like they did most everyday. CD and Nate were having a conversation amongst themselves.

"We have did the big wedding thing! And look how it turned out." CD took a bite of her cheeseburger.

"So what are you saying? If we have a big wedding, we will be cursed?" He asked getting annoyed that she still didn't have full faith in their relationship.

"Yes that and we really can't afford one. We really need a house. Our appartment is way too small." she explained.

"You are right about that." Nate agreed. "I think the land lord is ready to kick us out anyway. He came up to fix our sink and he saw where Hannah drew all over the walls."

"I know! That jerk yelled at me for it!" CD exclaimed.

"He yelled at you!?" He asked angrily.

"Yeah but it's ok." she shrugged. "I told him we would paint it when we moved out and he said he was sorry for yelling."

"Oh ok." Nate said all macho. "I was gonna kick his ass if he didn't apologize."

CD laughed and rolled her eyes. "Riiight"

Nate laughed too and then look over at Raina and Angela, who where chatting away about God knows what. "I love Angela and all, but I REALLY miss having you as a partner."

"Yeah I miss you too." CD laughed. "But Raina is great. She is very fun to talk to. And she gives me fashion advice."

"YOU get fashion advice?" he laughed.

"Yes Ass Face. What, you don't like the way I dress?" she asked offended.

"No I love the way you dress, I just didn't think you were the fashion-advice-taking type." He told her.

"aww you like the way I dress?" she asked suprised.

"Of course." he smirked. "Especially on nights when you put on that little thing I got you from Victoria's Secret."

"Oh shut up." she smirked back and rolled her eyes.


The next day, Jinny and Magda went shopping for baby stuff. CD and Angela went along to get their kids some new clothes too. So, Nate was back at home having a Father-Daughter day with Hannah.

"Hey Hannah, wanna go to the park!" He asked her as he dried her off from her bath.

"Yaaaay! Park!" She exclaimed.

"Ok, first you gotta put on one of these pull-ups and some clothes." He told her.

"No!" she exclaimed and jumped off the bed. She ran to her room and grabbed her pair of little sunglasses Raina had bought for her. She went back to Nate tugged at his pants. "Park!"

"We will go to the park if you put on your clothes." He told her again.

"nooooo." she said and jumped up and down.

Nate pleaded with her for an hour but she still wouldn't let him put any clothes on her. Finally he held her down and put her on a diaper and some overalls. He knew she wouldn't be able to get out of those. Hannah cried and threw a fit. "Sorry but you gotta wear that." Nate said and got her shoes. He grabbed her foot to put the shoe on, but she kicked and spit on him. "Oh my God!" Nate said and looked at her in shock. "Did you just spit on me? On purpose?". Hannah just gave him a dirty look, which happend to be the exact same look CD gave him when she was mad. Nate wasn't sure what to do so he called CD to come help him out.

"What is it?" CD asked as she put down some bags.

"Hannah kicked me AND spit on me!" Nate told her

"Why?" CD asked and picked Hannah up.

"because I put clothes on her and told her she couldn't take them off." he explained.

CD shook her head. "You know, she only does this with you and Mom. You guys let her have her way and never punish her."

"How am I supposed to punish a two year old?" he asked.

"I'll show you..." CD said and led him to the living room. She grabbed a chair and put it in the corner and handed Hannah over to Nate. "Ok, now tell her you are putting her in the corner for being bad and kicking and spitting."

"uhh ok." Nate looked at Hannah. "Ok Hannah, I am putting you in the corner for being a bad girl, and for kicking Daddy, and for spitting on him." He told her sternly.

"nooo." Hannah yelled and tried to squirm from his arms.

"see?" Nate looked at CD.

"make her sit in the corner!" CD commanded him.

Nate put Hannah in the chair. "You better not get up, or you will be in even more trouble."

Hannah crossed her arms and started to pout. Nate and CD sat down on the couch. "what now?" Nate asked

"wait about 10 minutes. It seems short to us, but it is an eternity for a toddler." CD looked at her watch.

"Daddy?" Hannah said softly. Nate turned to see what she wanted.

"Don't do that! She is just going to look at you with those blue eyes and you will give in to her. Just ignore her until her time is up." CD said.

"this is really hard..." Nate said as Hannah started to whimper.

Finally the 10 minutes were over and Nate told Hannah she could get up. She hopped down from the chair and stomped off to her room. "She hates me now!" Nate shook his head.

"no she does't. Give her a few minutes, she will be right back out." CD said and got up. "I'm going back shopping." she smiled and kissed his cheek. Nate told her goodbye and waited for Hannah to come back out. Sure enough, a few moments later Hannah appeared with her shoes in her hand. 'Now she wants to move out..." Nate thought to himself.

She crawled into his lap and gave him a kiss. "I sorry Daddy."

Nate's heart felt like it was going to melt. He smiled and put her shoes on. "ok Princess, let's go to the park!". He grabbed her stroller and they left for a day at the park.

Ok I know it's been almost a YEAR since I posted on my fic, but I have been staying at my Grandparent's place while they are out of the country, and it's really boring and lonely out here in the middle of the woods with no one to talk to but my handycap cat. So I decided to start writing again (it helps to cope with TD being cancelled :( ). So I am probably a little rusty right now.

A few more years passed, and CD and Nate still hadn't gotten married. Nate got more upset with CD as the years passed. CD would tell Nate and everyone else that she couldn't find the time to plan a wedding with Hannah and her job. Nate finally just started begging her to go to the court house and get it done, but she'd always make an excuse or change the subject.

Jinny and Magda both had two year old boys now, and Teddy would never let Jinny live the bet down. Magda and Gabe divorced a year earlier, so she was now a single Mom with two kids. She made it work though. Ben was old enough now to take care of his little brother when Magda was working late.


CD and Nate got up early for Hannah's first day of school. She had never even been in pre-school or day care, so this was a big deal for them.

"I don't know if I can do this." CD said and started putting her make-up on.

"you have to." Nate said as he shaved. "she's five...it's time for kindegarden."

"But she has never been away from us like that." she sighed.

"yes she has!" Nate laughed. "She's gotta go to school CD."

"but what about all those other kids?" she asked. "the only other kids she has ever been around are our friends kids."

"she goes to the park all the time..." he rolled his eyes. "...and she is very sociable. Everything will be fine, you knew you would have to do this eventually."

"yeah..." CD sighed and finished her make-up. "I just can't believe how fast she is growing. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital."

"I know what you mean." he nodded and combed his hair. "let's go wake her up..."

"ok." CD smiled and the went to Hannah's room.

They each sat down on each side of her bed. CD gentle shook her.

"get up sweetie....it's time your first day of school."

Hannah stirred for a bit and opened her eyes. "yay..." she muttered.

"You can wear your favorite dress..." Nate smiled.

"will I ALWAYS have to wake up this early for school?" she asked and sat up.

"yep.." CD nodded. "but on the weekends you can sleep later."

"I don't like school already." Hannah said and got out of bed. Nate gave her a morning kiss and went to make some breakfast. CD helped Hannah get ready for school. Once Hannah was up, she got out of her grumpy mood.

"are you excited?" CD asked as she put her hair in pigtails.

"yep!" She giggled. "do you think I'll like my teachers?"

"Yes I do." CD finished her hair. "you look very pretty."

"so do you Mommy." Hannah kissed her cheek.

"thanks..." CD laughed and they went to have breakfast with Nate. After eating, they got into the car and went to Hannah's school. CD and Nate took Hannah to her class. Nate had to practically pull CD out of the classroom. Now they drove to the Division.

"how can this not be hard on you?" CD asked as she drove.

"it is hard." He said. "but I know there has to be one strong parent, or else Hannah will end up homeschooled." He laughed.

"Hey, That's a good idea!" CD exclaimed.

"no CD..." Nate laughed.

"I know..." CD muttered and they arrived to the division.

When they walked in the bull pen, everyone was chatting away.

"What's going on?" Nate asked Raina and sat at his desk.

Raina grinned. "Jinny just broke the news that she and Teddy got engaged last night!"

"more like you tortured it outta me..." Jinny muttered. "but yeah, I'm gettin' hitched."

"Wow! Congratulations..." CD smiled and hugged Jinny. "when are you getting married?"

"Next month." She nodded. "Nothing big. We just figured it was time to do it."

"Have you and Nate set a date yet?" Angela asked CD.

"you ask me that every other day..." She groaned.

"but I'd like to know too..." Nate muttered. He hated hearing Jinny and Teddy were getting married, because he always figured he and CD would be married before them too.

"Eventually." CD said. "but we have Jinny's wedding to look forward to now."

Everyone nodded and Kate came out and gave them all something to do. At lunchtime, CD and Nate drove home to be alone.

"so Jinny and Teddy are getting married before us." Nate sat down on the couch.

"yep..." CD nodded and sat down beside him. "why are you mad about that? They knew each other before we did."

"So!" Nate said. "we have been engaged for two damn years."

"We will get married eventually!...is it really THAT big of a deal?" she asked.

"of course it is!" He said. "We should be married."

"well we have to wait till after Jinny and Teddy get married now." CD said.

"Fine...just keep making excuses." Nate muttered and went to the kitchen to find something to eat. He was really getting fed up with this. He knew CD loved him, but he still had this feeling that she wished she could find someone better.

OMG!!!!!!!! MARIA!!!!!!!! I about died when I saw this at the top of the page, and then died again when I saw that you posted on it! I thought this fic was a goner for sure.....but WOW, I'm so glad that you posted again!

Poor Nate....maybe they can make it a double service? ;)
