Blue SkEyes

It was a beautiful night they were at a county club for a SFPD party. CD, and Nate were hand and hand. There was no moment that the two of them seprated from each other. They rocked back and forth to the music.

Jinny chuckled and nudged Kate next to her at the buffet. "Say, aren't you gonna get into the biggest trouble because of Romeo and Juliet there?"

Kate shrugged, really thinking nothing of it. "I have worked something out, and well...It said that they can remain partners..well...You know what I am talking about?"

Jinny frowned. "You're trying to tell me you found a way to keep your ass out of the line of fire... but how?"

Kate chuckled. "And that would be the reason that it says Captain on my door. Maybe someday when you grow up to be captain you will understand."

Jinny gave her a look. "What? Rot in a cubicle and watch others get their kicks on the streets doing REAL police work? Me? Never." She laughed. "Try your luck with Magda or Raina... I'm sure neither of us real cops wants your job." She smirked and motioned at CD and Nate who were still dancing even though the music had stopped. "Though... maybe one of them... then they wouldn't have to sneak into your office anymore as soon as you're gone."

"Hmmm.." Kate said taking a bite of her food. "Maybe I will have to come back one day and catch them in the act."

Jinny chuckled. "It's a wonder your desk didn't crash yet, really."

Kate smriked, "Yeah, me too. None of you know what I have done in there either." She saw the face that Jinny was giving her, "Jinny your mouth is open ya might want to shut it."

Jinny swallowed. "Man cap... who woulda thought." She chuckled.

Kate laughed, "Maybe the jantiors who have caught me from time to time.." Kate winked at Jinny, and started walking away at that.

Jinny shook her head and went back to Magda. "You wouldn't believe what I just heard..." She chuckled.

Meanwhile on the dancefloor CD smiled at Nate. "Wanna go outside for a while?"

Raina who was a little more then drunk, ran straight into CD and Nate. Raina started craking-up , and couldn't stop, and through her laughs informed the two, "Hey music's stopped.”

CD gave Raina a look. "We noticed..." She said even though they hadn't really noticed. "Hey, Magda was looking for you by the way." She said so Raina would leave them alone again.

Nate looked into CD’s eyes, he thought he could melt away there, and only be one. "Yeah," He said, "I would go anywere with you."

She slightly blushed and kissed his cheek. "So would I." Arm in arm they walked outside.

Awwwww. That's a good start. More CD/Nate ASAP.

There was a light wind that slightly went though Nate's hair, but all in all it was a nice breeze. They sat down on the lawn were there were no trees just open blue sky. There were no clouds that night, and they sat looking at the stars. Here, and there Nate would say, "That's the big dipper”, or the small dipper. Then casually slipped in, "CD I love you more then anything on this earth. I hope you know that."

She smiled and gently kissed him. "I know baby. And I hope you know that I love you just the same."

He kissed her back. He gently put her hand on the back of her head, and leand her back onto the grass.He always felt whenever he kissed her like their worlds came crashing together as one. It was such a powerful feeling. Just as they were feeling around each other they felt a slight sprinkling that became lots of water. They stopped, and looked around to find the sprinklers had gone off around them. If, he hadn't been so wet he might have thought this to be funny. He said, "Great, just great!"

CD groaned and jumped up. "God ****en dammit!" She ran her hand through her hair. Just when it had been best the sprinkler had started. "We bettter go inside again, huh?"

"Yeah," He said taking her by her hand, and running inside with her. Just at the door he said, "Damn, and I rented this suit too."

"And I spent 200 bucks on this dress that's now ruined." She sighed.

"I am sorry, hunny, I’ll buy you a new one while I am paying for this suit that I probably have to buy now." He kissed her gently hoping that would help.

"I don't actually care. Don't worry." She kissed him back and then they walked up to the others again.

"Forgot to take a shower at home?" Jinny laughed.

Nate gave her a look, "Haha.”

CD rolled her eyes, "If this had been a shower we would have no cloths on at the moment."

Magda gave them a look. "I think we're all glad you could restrain yourselves long enough to keep the clothes on.."

Jinny smirked, "Magda you need to relax some...Here." She handed her another drink, "You need some more to drink."

"JINNY!" She looked at her shocked. "That's alcohol! What are you doing with alcohol?"

CD rolled her eyes. "She just gave it to you. Relax and just drink it."

Captain walked over holding up Raina who was too drunk to stand on her own. "Someone wanna give me hand?"

"Sure." CD said and helped her. "Gee is she even old enough to drink?"

"Hey." Raina said, "You’re all wet."

CD smirked at her. "Raina you have no idea just HOW wet."

"What's that mean?" Raina asked.

Jinny smiled, "C'mon let's go Raina, and I will go explain the birds, and the bees, and some other things." She took Raina out of CD's hands and said, "I will take her home, and leave you two love birds be."

"Thanks Jin." CD smiled and looked over at Nate. "We better go home before we catch a cold, huh? I bet Cap wouldn't like it if we're both sick."

Kate smiled, "You’re right, I wouldn't. And there would be no time off after knowing what the two of you have done in my office."

CD just glared at Jinny.

"What?" Jinny acted innocently.

CD looked back at Kate. "I have NO idea what SOMEONE..." She glared at Jinny again. "...might have told you, but you can all just get your damn heads out of the gutter again. It's not like Nate and I rip each other's clothes off as soon as we're alone."

Everybody laughed at that.

"We really don't!" Nate protested now.

Raina got lost from Jin’s hands, and tripped over to CD and Nate who both put out their arms to catch her. Raina slurred, "Waaaaaait...wu..what...Did you do in the Caaaps officcce?"

"We TALKED." CD said.

"Meaning they had passionate sex on top of my desk." Kate laughed.

Magda said, "I can't believe you two! You should be ashamed of yourselves."

By now everyone had learned of Jonah and Jinny said "One word, Jonah...Need me to spell that out for you? J-O-N-A-H.”

CD laughed and nodded. "Yeah really. Hey maybe I should inroduce you to Paul... I heard he just got divorced again. You two would be a perfect match."

Captain beeing like the mother hen said, "Okay children knock it off."

Jinny mockingly said, "Yes, Mother."

Nate sneezed and CD looked at him worried. "We really better go..."

Nate nodded his head in agreement, and put his arm around CD. "Goodnight everyone." He yelled as leaving.

CD turned around again and waved at them.

Nate got to their car, "Would you like to drive or would you like me too?"

"I'll drive." She said and got a blanket out of the trunk and wrapped it around him.

He smiled, "Ummm CD Honny your the one with the skimpy little dress..I think you should be the one with the blanket on."

"You're the one who sneezed already. No discussion! Besides I can't drive with blanket" She smiled at him.

"OH yeah, good point..I knew there was a reason I liked you." He smiled back at her.

She chuckled and then managed to supress a sneeze and started the engine. "Your place is closer from here, isn't it?"

"Yeah," He said.

"Then your place it is." She smiled over at him and drove to his appartment. The drive was nice, and the heat was on in the car full blast keeping CD warm. It took about fifteen minutes, and they were there.

They pulled into the parking place, and Nate reached over and pulled CD into a kiss, "Sorry I couldn't hlep it. Your lips were begging for me to kiss them."

She smirked at him. "Let's go inside and I'll beg for more."

He smiled feeling the pleasure spread inside him. "Ohhh sounds like fun." He got out of the car, and shut his door.

CD quickly locked the car and followed him inside.

They were almost to Nate's door when he stopped her, and put her up against the wall, and started kissing her, "Hmm, Maybe we should start getting us out of these wet clothes before we get sick."

CD grinned. "Here, let me help you..." She whispered and wrapped him out of the suit jacket before starting to unbutton his shirt.

"Thanks, " He grinned from ear to ear. He knew exactly where to go with both hands and unzipped her dress. While kissing, and starting to take each others cloths off Nate got out his keys, and started unlocking his door. He took one hand and slid one side of the dress of her shoulder, and started rubbing her back, and took the other strap off. "I don't know about you but, I am feeling much better already."

"Oh yeah." She whispered. "Though I could feel even better..." She claimed his mouth for another passionate kiss as they stumbled into his apartment. She right away tossed his jacket that she still had been holding aside and then with one swift move ripped his shirt off not bothering to unbutton the last buttons, they just burst off into all directions. He moaned into her mouth and slid her dress off and ran his hands all over her body, already looking forward to stripping her out of her lingerie as well.

"Interesting way to greet your mother. And here I thought you were souposed to be a cop. Do you take home every tramp you see, or just the high priced ones?" A voice startled them.

CD and Nate were about as red as they could be when Nate said, "UHH...Hi mom..”

CD hid behind Nate, and muttered, "I can't believe this is happening to me."

"Maybe you should just pay her and send her away again now Nathan." His mom glared at him. "And here I thought I raised a fine young man."

"MOM!" Nate glared at her and quickly reached for his jacket again and wrapped it around CD who was feeling very embarrassed right now.

CD who was still feeling embarassed, yet upset for being called basically a hooker said, "First of all I am NO slut, and secound you did raise a 'fine young man' despite of you."

"Yeah I saw that." She muttered.

Nate took a deep breath. "MOM! Now give us a break! You weren't even supposed to be here or be assured we would have gone to CD's place. And CD by the way is my partner both at work and privately. We love each other and she's an amazing woman and I thank god every day because I'm one lucky bastard because she loves me. She deserves so much more than I could ever offer, but still she's my girl." He looked at CD adoringly.

Nate’s mother looked at CD up and down, then said, "CJ was it? would you mine giving my son and me a moment?"

"It was CD, and I will wait..." CD looked at Nate questiongly, knowing that there was only the bedroom.

Nate nodded and sneezed again.

"Actually..." CD said and took Nate's hand. "You'll have to wait a few more minutes while your son is getting into some dry clothes." Not waiting for an answer she dragged him into the bedroom with him, opened his closet and got fresh and warm clothes out for him.

"Uhh thanks CD...I'm uh really sorry for my mother. She can come accrossed as a little over bareing sometimes." He apologized, feeling horrible about how his mom had treated CD.

"No problem”, CD said, "And well. Uh Thanks for what you said, out there, and you do deserve me. You are the best thing that ever happend to me. And for that I thank YOU, because that doesn't happen much in my life. It's hard for me to let people in, and you have made it there, and you aren't going anywere. Not even becasue of your over baring mother." CD threw the clothes over to Nate. "Oh, and Nate.."

As he was changing his clothes, he asked, "What?"

"I love you." She said, and pulled him into a kiss.
He wrapped his arms around her and held her as close to him as he could. "I love you too baby."

"Hush, get dressed, your mom is waiting." CD smiled at him and gently kissed him again.

"And you get out of the wet stuff as well, will ya?" He smiled at her and quickly put on the rest of the clothes she had given him.

"And what exatly would you like me to put on?" She smirked at him.

"Actually..." He grinned back at her, opened his bedside table drawer and handed her a small blue velvet box. "Just this." He hadn't planned on asking her today but the moment had just felt perfect and he couldn't wait any longer.

CD was nearly in shock. This couldn't be what she though it was. She sat down on the bed. Yet she thought again, 'it feels so right. He is the man that I am in love with.’ The man that has always in ways she couldn't explain made her feel complete.' She looked at him, and opened the box. "Is this what I think it is?"

He smiled and nodded and kneeled down in front of her. "I actually thought I'd have roses and candles everywhere when I'd give you this... but I couldn't wait any longer." His heart was beating faster than ever before as he took the ring out of the box. It was a white gold ring with a saphire in the middle and two small diamonds on the sides of it. "I saw it and it reminded me of your eyes." He whispered and then swallowed as he looked deep into her blue eyes. "Candace I love you so much. You're the reason why I want to get up every day, you're the one who makes my heart beat, I love you more than I ever thought possible and I couldn't ever imagine my life without you by my side. Will you please marry me?"

She smiled, "Do you even have to ask Nathan? You have made me the happist women in the world, and I would love to do nothing more then to spend the rest of my life with you. Does that answer your question?"

He smiled and slipped the ring on her finger carefully. "Oh god baby. I love you so much!" He kissed her with all his love and devotion.

She kissed him back. And then as if on cue they heard a voice outside the door, "You know it's rude to keep a guest waiting."

"She has a point there." CD whispered and kissed him again before sending him outside again without discussion. When he had left she grinned broadly and looked at the ring on her finger. It was just perfect.

"Hey mom sorry about that." He said as he walked up to her again.

They sat dowm, and stared awarkdly at each other for a few minutes, and then his mother asked, "Are you going to offer me a drink?"

Nate sighed, "I hadn't planed on it. I was kinda wondering if this could wait until tomorrow."

"I wouldn't be here if it could wait." She slightly glared at him and then helped herself to a drink. "Can I offer YOU something?"
"Well mom could you hurry it up..well...cause..cause, well..CD’s waiting."

She glared at her son. "Don't you dare tell me that little bimbo is more important to you than your own mother!" Though she had to admit that she liked how she had been worried about Nate and made him get dressed into dry clothes. She really didn't wanna know why they were wet in the first place though.

"CD IS NOT A BIMBO!" Nate yelled and then cringed because he realized she must have heard that. And he hated how his mother was talking about CD and wished he could spare her from that.

“Well CJ whatever she is can wait. Bimbo or not. As I said, I am more important them some fling that you are having with this person. And as I said I have something to tell you."

"She is not a fling!" Nate glared at her again and then sighed. "Okay, so tell me... but then I'll call you a cab and you go home again."

She glared back at him and then motioned at her bags. "Actually I'm gonna stay for a week at least."
‘Oh god' he thought to himself this was never going to work out with his mom staying with him..'think think,' he thought to himself, and then thought again 'it might be good to find out why she has to stay for a week. "Mother, how come you need a place to stay, you have a nice huge house to yourself."

She touched her son's face, and said, "Oh, well that. We are having the house painted."

Nate looked at her, and asked, "What does that have to do with anything?"

She looked at her son as if he were stupid, "Now, Nathan dear, You know that I am alergic to the smell of paint."

"Then go to a motel!" He said frustrated.

"NATHAN!" She glared at him. "Did I send you off to a motel after being in pain for 48 hours before I gave birth to you? And do you have any idea just HOW bad that pain was?"

Nate made a face. "Mom, shut up, please..." He knew she had to stay though. "Okay, under one condition! You will be nice to CD and stop referring to her as slut, bimbo or whatever! Is that clear?"

She rolled her eyes, "Okay I will be nice to. Now Dear are you sure her name isn't CJ?"

"Mother please, You know full well her name is CD, and she is the women I LOVE. And--"

She cut him off and muttered, "Were have I heard that before?"

"MOTHER! You want a place to stay or not?!" He glared at her.

"Okay, Okay..Her name is CD, and I will be nice to her." She sighed and threw her hands up in resignation.
"Good." He sighed. "Okay... I'll get her again now then. And then we can order a pizza or something if you're hungry."

"Geez, don't tell me she can't even cook..." His mom started again.

"MOTHER!!!!!!! STOP!" Nate warned her one last time and then went into the bedroom, let himself fall down onto the bed and hit his head into the pillow a few times instead of hitting it against the wall.

CD sighed and sat down next to him. Meanwhile she was wearing a pair of his boxers and one of his shirts. Gently she caressed through his hair. "Come on, she can't be THAT bad..."

Nate said "Yeah your right she's worse. You know how your mother acts like Joan Cleaver, well compared to your mother my mom acts like Mommie Dearest."

"Then just be glad we don't have to cope with both of them." She gently kissed his cheek. "So what's going on?"

Nate looked at CD and said, "Well, she's staying for a week. And well...You want some pizza?"

CD sighed. "I'm sorry, and pizza sounds fine, unless you'd rather want me to whip up something?"

“I would rather whip something out myself." He smirked at her.

CD chuckled. "Great, your mom doesn't already hate me enough. Now imagine she walks in on us or even hears us... and believe me she would hear us." She chuckled.

He smiled and kissed her, " I wouldn't mind."

CD returned the kiss but then pulled back. "But I would. I'm your fiancee now, she better get a reason to like me, not more reasons to hate me."

"So” He groaned, "I guess I am not getting any for a week?"

She smiled at her new fiance and said, "There's always cap's office." They both started laughing.

Upon hearing the laughter his mom entered the room and sternly looked at them both. "I thought you were gonna order pizza because SHE can't cook." She pointed at CD.

CD took a deep breath and got up again. "I can cook just fine. Tell me what you'd like and I'll see if Nate's fridge can live up to that."

Nate gave his mother a look that said for her to stop, "I think pizza will be just fine. Besides, I have nothing in my fridge."

"Why is nothing in his fridge?" She now looked at CD blamingly.

"Because he pretty much just stayed at my place for the past weeks." CD said.

"I see..." She nodded.

Nate took a deep breath. "I'll go and order that pizza." He kissed CD's cheek and then looked at his mother and muttered "Behave!" As he walked by her.

CD followed him and sat down on the couch and his mom opposite to her. "So... CJ... what kind of name is that anyways? Were your parents stoned hippies who named you after their drug of choice?"

CD, kick her ass!!!!:D

"Candace..." His mother made a face at that and followed her son and leaned close to him and whispered into his ear. "That's even the name of a slut! Maybe you should check her fingerprints... That can't be her real name. I bet her name is Dorothy and she's from the deepest depth of some redneck hillybilly village and her parents are brother and sister."

Nate whispered back to his mother "She isn't a hooker. And her parents aren't brother and sister."

"And I heard that." CD said walking up to them as well. "If you must know, my father left me when I was a kid, my mother had one boyfriend after the other, she is a Sunflower Girl and I'm not even sure where she lives at the moment. But I agree about the name, which is why everybody's calling me CD."

Nate took at swig of his beer, and said "I like CD it fits you well."

CD smiled at him. "Thanks."

Nate smiled right back at her, "No thank you for being my life."

CD smiled even broader and gently kissed him. "Thank you for crashing into my life and turning it upside down."

Nate laughed.”Most people would have been upset over that." He laughed, "I guess not you."

"Nope, because it's better ever since the day I met you." She smiled.

"I could say the same about you." Nate smiled back at her and leaned in to kiss her.

But his mother put her hand in between them and shoved CD aside. "Enough of this!"

CD, looked at his mother, and asked, "What don't you like seeing you son happy?"

She looked straight back at CD. "I've seen him 'happy' before." She mocked. "And then I've seen him in drug rehab."

"That's even more reason for you to be glad he found happiness again!" CD glared back at her.

"Ladies... please..." Nate sighed. The door bell rang and Nate said, "THat must be the pizza." He went to walk for the door, and muttered to himself, "This is going to be a LONG week."

CD thought maybe she should take this time while Nate was not there she didn't want to argue with his mom she just wanted to make clear that she loved him, "Look, " CD pleaded, "I love your son, and I would do nothing to hurt him. He means the world to me, and I hope that you can accept that."

"We'll see about that." His mom muttered. She had seen Nate destroyed by his ex-wife already and she didn't wanna see him have to go through that pain again. And what could he expect from a woman named Candace apart from a lot of heartache?

He paid for the pizza and walked back to the two women in the kitchen who were still glaring at each other so much that you'd expect streaks of lightning to emerge from their eyes. He sighed and put the pizza box in the middle of the table. "Can we please eat now without you two killing each other?"

CD still glaring at his mother said, "Yeah I am starving, and after all that running around and being wet, I need something to warm to eat."

Nate leaned over, and wispered in her ear, "You can eat me later, I am sure that I will warm you up."

CD giggled a little and blushed. "Nate!" She playfully slapped his arm.

Smirking Nate sat down at the table. When CD pulled out the chair next to him, wanting to sit down there, his mom quickly sat down there without saying another word.

CD blinked but sat down next to her instead then.

Nate sat, and blushed for a second, and realized that he hadn't even intordoced the two. "Mom, CD I am so sorry, I forgot to intordoce the two of you, MOM this is CD, and CD, This is my mom Debra."

CD wiped her hand on her nakpin and trying to be polite said, "Nice to meet you."

Debra just looked at CD, and gave her an inpolite smile, and contunied eating.

"Well then..." CD wasn't too surprised that she had refused to shake her hand and she just continued to eat herself, not saying another word.

Grrrrr! Nate's mother is a witch!!!! Post more sooooooooooooooooooon! i hope she gets whats coming ot her!

Nate was somewhat greatful for the silence, and them not fighting, but yet to him it almost felt like the calm before the storm. Just to break the silence he asked his mom, "So how was your trip in?"

"Do I look like I sat on a plane for hours? I took a cab." She rolled her eyes and showed him her empty glass. "I'm thirsty."

"Nate keeps his drinks in that big white thing over there." CD said. "We call it fridge."

"Yes, I know what it's called my dear apparantly though you weren't tought good manners like my son." She said

"He must have that from his father then. I can't see how you could have tought him anything." She shot back.

Nate quickly jumped up and got a coke out of the fridge and filled their glasses. "Here drink!" He told his mother and then looked at CD. "You too." Now he wished that they had stayed silent. Nate looked up God he couldn't believe this was happening...He wished the phone would ring or something so he could go back to work.

CD gave Nate a look, didn't drink but continued to munch her pizza.

Debra glanced over at Nate and then at CD. While they ate it with their hands she fought with fork and knife and couldn't understand that neither of them even seemed to consider using those. Suddenly she noticed something sparkle on CD's hand. She gasped but didn't say anything yet. But that surely confirmed her suspicions.

Nate sat there grateful for the silence, but he was about to break it, "See now isn't this nice. The quiet that is. And I this is my favorite pizza."

"Nate." CD smiled, "I haven't seen anything you DON'T like."

Nate smirked at her. "I'd tell ya what I like most... but that's inappropriate right now."

"What's inappropriate about chocolate?" CD smirked back at him, knowing what he meant though.

"True, chocolate never is inappropriate" He laughed. "Or any kind of food actually."

"You eat too much junk." Both CD and his mother said at the same time and then looked at each other shocked because they agreed about that.

Wow, Nate looked shocked, and happy for the first time since he had asked CD to marry him, maybe the two of them would get a long after all. "I do not eat too much junk food. And even if, I did, I work it all off." He made sure that his mother wasn't looking and then mouthed to CD "With you that is."

CD smirked back at him. "Good point."

"Well, you know," Debra went on lecturing him, "Heart problems run in the family, and all that junk food isn't going to help." She got another shot at CD, "And if, your partner can't keep you away from those bad habits then I guess they’re not that good of a partner."

"As his partner my main duty is to keep him away from bullets... and I still succeeded at that every time so far." She hissed back. "So leave him his chocolate." When she cooked for him she always made sure it was healthy in order to balance out all the crap he usually ate. But she didn't feel like bragging with that.

Nate looked at his mom, and begged "Could you please leave CD alone. All I want is for the two of you to get along, and Mom your just making everything worse."

CD triumphantly grinned at Debra.

But then Nate adressed CD. "And you stop to provoke her!"

Both, Debra, and CD as if, little kids said at the same time, "Okay fine I leave her alone." They both glared at each other for that, and both thought to themselves 'for now anyway.'

Nate took a deep breath. "Gee, there must be something you two have in common!" He thought hard but couldn't think of anything. They were like fire and ice.

CD look at Debra, and then at Nate, and said, "Yeah we have you in common." She wanted to add something to that, but for Nate she kept her mouth shut.

Nate’s mom couldn't believe that this...this...Candace was even thinking that she could care as much as she did about her Nathan, but mumbled, "Yeah whatever, I guess so."

Nate sighed and got up. No one was eating anymore so he put the leftovers into the fridge and walked up to CD, squeezed her hand and kissed her temple. He knew that anybody else would be running by now. But CD still put up with it.

CD reached for her paper plate, and then asked, "Are you done with your plate Mrs. Basso?"

Nate smiled. About everybody he knew called his mom by her first name. "Just call her Debra." He said.

CD motioned at the plate again. "Are you done Debra?"

She glared at CD and grabbed her empty plate protectively. "That's Mrs Basso for you! And NO, I'm not done!"

Nate couldn't believe this was happening. This was getting out of hand and fast. "Mom aren't you getting tired? I can get the guest bed all set up for you."

"Nathan I am not tired. But if you are why don't you ask your FRIEND to leave." She pointed at CD.

"She is more than my friend, and she is going to leave when she wants to leave. And she doesn't want to leave yet!" He said and wrapped his arm around CD, hoping that she wouldn't storm out now.

CD just grinned because Nate was on her side again.

Nate sighed, but he could understand CD. She was trying at least. But he had never seen his mom like that before. "Great... seeing nobody here is tired yet.. how about a movie?"

"A movie sounds good" CD said, "How about a comedy?"

His mom was already shaking her head "No I would perfer a Mystery."

CD said through clentched teeth, "Mystery it is then."

"Mystery..." Nate said and handed his mom a few DVDs. "Take your pick." He took a seat in the love chair, and CD sat next to him. Debra said, "This movie looks good." She looked at CD and Nate, and then pointed at CD, and said, "Oh I wanted that seat it's better for my back."

CD took a deep breath but got up right away. "Here you go." She sat down on the couch instead.

Nate wanted to get up to follow her but his mom put her hand on his shoulder. "Ohh stay here Nathan."

Nate looked at him Mom, "Well I have to put the DVD in anyway."

His mom kept her arm there, and said, and pointed at CD, and said, "She can do it."

CD fought of the glare that was coming to her face. Nate was suprise that his mother was acting this way he removed her hand, and got up, "Mom CD just like you is a guest in the house. She doesn't need to put it in the DVD player I have two very good working legs."

She growled and crossed her arms, watching how her son put the DVD into the player and then sat down next to CD and wrapped his arm around her shoulder.

CD smiled at him and leaned her head against his shoulder.

Debra rolled her eyes but started to watch the movie. She needed a plan to get rid of that woman.

Neither CD nor Nate paid too much attention to the movie because they couldn't stop grinning at each other. When he was sure that his mom was caught up with the movie he gently caressed her finger with his ring.

She grinned at him broadly at that and mouthed "I love you."

He grinned back at her and dared to gently kiss her lips.

His mother didn't notice because of the movie so they deepened their kiss.
And when the two were sure they could get away they snuck into Nate's bedroom. CD went for his shirt, and pulled it off, and wispered, "That's better."

He grinned at her. "What is better? Being alone or me without shirt?" He whispered.

"Both." She claimed his mouth for another kiss and they only broke it so he could pull her shirt off as well.

She started to kiss him down his chest, and his body shivered out of control. He wanted to throw her atop of the bed, and go at it until morning, but knowing they only had a sort time didn't help matters. "CD," He wispered, "Your terrorizing me."

She grinned at him. "You need some good ole' torture my friend." Teasingly she touched him through the fabric of his pants.

Nate moaned, And kissed her hard on the mouth as they started walking slowly towards the bed CD looked down, "Gee your pants look funny,"

In return Nate said, "Well then maybe you should take them off."

She smirked and quickly helped him out of his pants. "Better?"

He moaned and nodded. "It's a start."

"You know," She said as she popped down on the bed, "I think I need just a little bit of help here."

He climbed on top of her and passionately kissed her and unhooked her bra before carelessly tossing it aside. "Help like this?" He whispered.

"MmmmmHmmmm." She moand, "Now I just need help with one more thing, well two to be exact: One be your lovely boxers that I borrowed, and two, you’re not inside of me yet!"

He didn't need to hear that twice and tore his boxers off her and looking deep into her eyes he made sure that she really was ready for him before he entered her.

They rocked back and forth together until they both cilmaxed together. And the sweet song of love they were sharing was gone.

Still panting CD cuddled close to him. "I hope we weren't too loud." She whispered.

Nate smiled and kissed her forehead. "Don't worry, she's in a world of her own when she's watching TV..." He sighed. "I'm so sorry, I have no idea why she treats you like that... She normally really isn't THAT bad."

"She’s just looking out for you. I understand that to a point Nate, but I would never purposely hurt you. Maybe once she gets to know me she’ll realize that." She sighed.

"I hope so." Nate nodded and claimed another passionate kiss from her. "Can't we hide in here until she's gone again?"

She kissed him back just as passionately and said, "I wish we could, but something tells me that she would come find us."

"Crap." He sighed. "We better go back again then, huh?"

She went to grab another pair of boxers, and said, "Yeah we better."

Nate looked around for what he'd been wearing and quickly got dressed again himself.

She got back on her bra, and shirt, and they quietly walked back out, and sat back down. "So” CD whispered to him, “what movie are we watchin anyway?"

He looked at her complenty lost, "Huh, Ohhhh I have no idea." Neither of them watching the movie started laughing,

His mother scolded, "What's so funny about a man getting shot?"

CD cleared her throat. "Just uhhh... the angle... no one would actually shoot from an angle like that..." She said and hoped she'd buy that.

Nate nodded. "Yeah... as cops we notice stuff like that."

"MmHmm.” Debra said, not sure if she believed them or not. She thought for a moment, trying to trap them in a lie, "So what did you think of that other shooting?"

"The other shooting..." Nate said and glanced at the TV again. "Who got shot again?"

Debra turned around, and raised her eyeborw, "No one did, And if, you two hadn't snuck off you would have known that."
"Crap... busted." CD blushed.

Nate was starting to get annoyed, after all this was his house, and it wasn't like his mom had called first, she had just shown up, and ruined a perfectly good evening. "Mom, I am a grown man, and can do what I want. This is my place not yours."

"But YOU are my son! You have to treat me with a little more respect! You are welcome in my house whenever you need me! I gave the better part of my life to raise you and your sister! There is nothing that I didn't do for you! And how do you thank me that?" She started to sob dramatically.

Nate ran over to his mother, and put his arms around her, and said, "Mom I am soo sorry, I didn't..."

CD cut him off, "Nate she's fine don't buy this."

She sobbed even louder at CD's words and Nate shot CD a glare and hugged his mother. "Shh, it's okay mom."

CD rolled her eyes at that scene. It was obvious that Debra was putting on a show there, and not even a good one at that. For a moment she considered to start bawling herself, all upset because his mom hated her and all. But she knew that would make Nate feel even worse and she didn't want that. Sighing she got up. "Please excuse me..." She went into the bathroom.

As soon as CD was gone Debra stopped to sob immediately. "Thank god! Nathan... that woman is dangerous!"

"Mom, she's not dangerous. Only if, she doesn't like somebody, and you’re well on your way to her not liking you. Mother you have to stop acting like this. CD is a good women. And I love her. Please just give her a chance." He looked at her pleadingly.

Debra knew at this point that Nate could see right though her, she had stopped crying to soon after CD left. "Well I am not the one that dragged you in the other room just to have sex while I had a guess." She was trying to make him feel guilty again.

He growled. "She didn't drag me! And you were watching your movie anyways! Apart from that if you weren't acting like a complete..." He stopped just in time before calling his own mother a bitch.

Debra was acting dissapointed in her son, "You mean you are going to pick some hussy over your own mother?!"

"Once and for all: I LOVE HER!!!! DEAL WITH IT!" He took a deep breath.

"But Nathan!" She took a deep breath herself. "How can you say you love this person?"

He sighed. "Because mother, she is the best thing that ever happend to me. I have never felt this way about any other women before. I want her to be..."

Before he could say anything else his mother said, "For god sakes Nathan she is wearing another man's ring. She doesn't love your, she's nothing more then a slut who is using you. How stupid can you be?"

"What?" Nate asked shocked at that. "So you saw the ring..." He realized. "CD!!!!!!" He called out.

Thinking she had won his mom grinned as CD walked up again.

But Nate reached for her hand and smiled at her broadly. "She saw your ring." He explained.

"Oh..." CD blushed, not sure how to react.

"Well mother... have you ever considered she could be wearing MY ring?" Nate glared at her. "Because that's what it is. We love each other and we got engaged earlier today. And you're damn lucky that I haven't thrown you out yet! So now who is stupid here, huh?"

Nate's mom was in shock she couldn't believe her Nathan would talk to her like that, she chackled it up to being this CD's fault. "Well I never." And with that his mother stormed of to the guest room.

CD cringed and sighed. She looked at Nate "I'm so sorry."

He kissed her for head gently, and said, "You have nothing to be sorry for. It is me, and my mother that have to say were sorry."

"No... it's not your fault Nate." She sighed again. "She and I are the ones fighting... but I'm gonna put an end to that!" Determind to finally reconcile with that woman CD followed her and knocked on the door.

"Ummm CD you have a death wish that I don't know about?" Nate asked half jokeing, but at the same time being serious.

CD looked at him. "Shut up." She knew all the fighting was hard on him and she seriously wanted that to stop. So she walked into Debra's room.

Debra, had already changed, and was getting into bed, and saw well she heard CD knock first, but would do anything to fight. "Didn't your mother teach you any manners, It would have been nice if, you had knocked first."

CD protested, " I did knock!"

Debra lied, "Well then I must have not of heard you."

Nate butted in, "Mother you hear just fine."

CD looked at Nate, shoved him out of the room again and closed the door. "Look, I honestly couldn't care less if you heard me knock or not." She sat down on a chair, facing the bed. "Why the hell do you hate me so much? What did I do?"

She sat on her bed feeling sorry for herself she still couldn't believe her son would choose this...this, tree of a person in his life, and not even tell her about her. This was her son her baby. She wasn't ready to let him go. She thought her son would forget about her, and that just made her all the more jealous of her. She didn't want her son to have anyone in his life let alone someone who could tear them apart, and it was clear that that's what she was doing. Debra looked at CD, and said, "Well first of off I still haven't figured out what kinda a name 'CJ' is but the biggest reason is your just not good enough for my son."

"Then just call me Candace..." CD said. "Because apparently you can't stand CD." She sighed. "And I'm fully aware that Nate could have anybody he wanted. But I'm the one he wants and you have no idea how happy and lucky I am because of that. You don't know me at all yet and I have to admit that I didn't make the best first impression, but like Nate said, we weren't expecting you. If we had known things would have been different. So please just try to give me another chance so I can prove you just how much I love Nate. I would do anything for him because he changed my life for the better." She sighed. "I know you think that I'm a slut, but I'm not. I've been with three men in my life and apart from Nate they all hurt me. Actually about everybody I ever met hurt me. There's only a handful of people who I consider true friends who I can utterly trust. But Nate is the one who I trust the most. He knows things about me that I never ever told anybody. He's the one who made me open up. He's the one who showed me the colors of the rainbow..." CD trailed off. "And he's the reason why I'm telling you all of this. Because I love him and because you're his mother and I want to get along with you." CD hoped what she just admitted had broken the ice. And then it would have been worth it, even though it was very hard for her to do.

Debra smiled at CD, maybe being friendly with the girl wouldn't kill her. Maybe that way she could find something on her, and use it against her when she least expected it. "Well my dear that was a very lovely speech. It's going to be hard, but for Nate's sake I think I can try, and like you." She forced a smile

CD looked at her, and CD sure as hell wasn't stupid..she thought something was up, but she couldn't be sure, so she just smiled back and said "Great!" CD held out her hand, and said, "Friends?"

She forced another smiled and shook her hand. "Now leave me be... I'm an old woman and I need my sleep."

"Sweet dreams then..." CD said and left the room again, looking at Nate completely stunned.

"You’re still alive?" Nate asked, “I have often wondered if that women has fangs?"

CD laughed. "Yeah... right Nate." She gently kissed him. "No... we're... friends." She said still stunned. "I think..."

"You think?" He asked as he guided her back to the sofa.

"I hope." She sighed.

He said, "I hope so, too. C'mon lets go to bed it's been a LONG day.”

She smiled and nodded. "Ohhh yeah. But it had its good moments."

He smiled right back, "Very good moments."

"The best moments ever." She wrapped her arms around him. "When are we gonna tell the others? And when are we gonna do it?"

He laughed, and said, "We can get in early tomorrow, and get the chalk board out, and write down that 'CD, and Nate are getting married.' And as fare as 'doing it' any time you want baby!" He started madly kissing her, and said, "Is a matter of fact, 'DOING IT' now sounds like a good idea to me!"

She laughed. "Nate! I meant the wedding. When are we gonna do that?" She kissed him back. "Though I wouldn't mind what you have in mind either." She winked at him.

"Well How about we get married in the summer? And lets go to bed so we can 'Do it!" He smirked.

"Sounds perfect to me.... both of it." She grinned and jumped at him, wrapping her legs around his hips. "Do me." She purred into his ear.

They heard a yell from the other room, "when do you guys think about 'NOT doing IT'?"

"NEVER!" Nate yelled back. "AND EAVESDROPPING IS INPOLITE!!!!"

"I wouldn't be able to eavesdrop if you weren't so lound." She said

"We weren't loud at all!" CD growled and thought ‘so much for her not being able to hear me knock’.

Then Nate said, "Good night mom talk to you in the morning." And with that they didn't hear another peep out of her.

CD and Nate as well tried their best to stay as quiet as possible. Of course they didn't quite succeed because they couldn't keep their hands off each other and pretty much spent all night long having passionate sex.

A couple of hours after they had finally fallen asleep in each other's arms the door to their bedroom opened, without knocking, and Debra walked in and opened the blinds. "Good morning. Breakfast is almost ready."

CD quickly pulled the covers closer around them when Debra walked up to Nate and hugged him then. "I made your favorite: pancakes!"

CD looked at his mom, "You think you can give us a second?”

Debra smiled at CD, and said, "Remember dear I already saw all that last night."

CD looked at her fiance, still too tired to argue. "Naaaaaate." She whined.

"MOM! Get out, please. Give us ten minutes." He sighed.

"Fine, fine, " Debra said, "I will give the two of you ten minutes." she left the room, and closed the door.

CD rolled her eyes, and said, "No offence, but thank GOD!" The she got a little closer to Nate, "How about a good morning Kiss?"

"hmmm." He grinned and kissed her lips.

She smirked, "Now this is much better then your favorite breakfast, isn't it?"

Nate smirked back. "Baby you know exactly that YOU're my favorite breakfast" He lifted the covers and dived completely under them, leaving a kiss on CD's belly and making her giggle.

CD asked "How long do you think we have until your mother comes back?"

At that the door opened again and Debra entered. "Oh and... NATHAN!"
She yelled upon seeing what she saw while CD screamed in shock.

Nate sighed in frustraction, and yelled "MOM GET OUT!" His mother left again, and Nate looked at CD, " I think we are going to be staying at your house for a week."

CD nodded. "Totally."

Nate thought for a second "God it's going to be a long week, because I just can't leave my mom here alone. I guess I will just have to come here after work, and wait until she’s alseep, and then sneak over to your house, and then in the morning sneak back over here."

CD laughed. "Somehow I doubt that'd work."

He sighed. "Come on, let's have breakfast for now and then we can go to work... I'd much rather deal with killers than my mom anyways."

CD laughed, "Something else we have in common."

He kissed her passionately again and then forced himself to get up. Both looking sleepy they walked into the kitchen.

"Say..." His mom started again right away before they even sat down. "What's all the hurry about getting married anyways?" She looked back and forth between Nate and CD. "Did you knock her up?" She glared at her son and then looked back at CD again. "And are you even sure he's the father?"

CD smiled as sweetly as she could, “No, I am not pregnant, and even if I were Nate WOULD be the father!" She was still smiling sweetly as she got up from the table, and said, "Suddenly I am not hungry, I am going to take a shower and go home get a pair of fresh cloths, and go to work."

"Okay." Nate got up himself gave her a quick kiss and as she was in the bathroom glared at his mother again. "We won't have kids. So forget that idea again right away." He remembered that CD had gotten her tubes tied and really didn't wanna give his mother more reasons to bitch around.

"Oh, well you know your not getting any younger." His mother still complained. CD heard that, and just slamed the boathroom door. "How rude." Debra said about that.

"You're the only one who's rude here!!!!!!” He yelled.

"Nathan I am sorry, I will apologize to her when she gets out of the shower. It's just hard for me you know, You’re my little boy, and I don't want to see you get hurt." She cursed under her breath, she hated being nice.

"You know what? Apologize when we come back... IF we come back." Nate had enough of it and stormed into the bathroom "Honey, we're leaving." He put her dress over her head again

CD smiled, not that she needed to know that he would do anything for her, but sticking up to his mother like he did proved that he would go much further then most men would have. It made her love him even more. As they walked past Nate's mother CD said "Buh bye. It was so nice meeting you. I hope we can do this again sometime." Then under her breath muttered, "But not in the near feathure."

Nate's mother tried again, "See you hear that Nathan? She is being just as mean to me as I am being to her."

Nathan stopped for a moment close to the door, grabbing his jacket, and putting something warmer around CD, and said, "First off mother 'she' has a name you can call her CD, or Candace, and second she is not the one who started it. WE are leaving, and that's it. Buh bye." He turned around with CD, and opened the door, on their way out CD turned her head, and with a glare she stuck her tounge out at his mother.

Once they were in the car CD sighed. "If that is how your mom treats her friends I don't wanna be her foe."

"I don't know what has gotten into her, I mean to some people she can really be mean, but most the time she is nice." Nate sighed.

"Well let me take a wild guess, what kind of person I am then.." CD sighed too.

"Maybe once my mom gets to know you she will like you." He felt so bad the things that his mom had said to her in one night. "IF, this is the way she is going to act then I don't want her around. CD I love you, and I know you love me. I know we could live though anything together, but that doesn't mean that we have to live though my mom being mean to you."

"I’m so sorry.... I think I have that effect... moms hate me." She paused, "Even my own"

"CD I am sorry about your mom. No one deserves a mother like yours, especially not you. None of that matters though anymore, because I love you enough for the both of them." Nate said and smiled at her.

She smiled back at him. "Thanks. You're everything I need anyways."

They got to her place, and took a quick shower, and a change of clothes, and headed off to work together. In the car Nate said, "I guess we won't get there early enough to get the chalk board."

"Good point." He kissed her cheek.

"Yo people... CD's my personal ho now." He said and smirked at her. "Like that?"

She could hardly contain her laugh she was cracking up. "Your mom would love that!"

He nodded. "I bet" He laughed. "Now seriously... how shall we tell them?"

"Hmmmm." She thought for a moment, and laughed, "We could tell Magda, and Raina, and everyone would know by lunch time."

He laughed. "I think we should be the ones announcing it or the others will kill us."

She laughed, and joking around said, "Ohhh okaaaaaay. I suppose we should tell them all at once."

He laughed with her. "We could announce it over the intercom... or pass a memo around."

"Haha, I say the intercom, for those who got a little drunk, and might have a hang over." CD laughed and pretended to be talking over the intercom now . "AAAAAAAAAAAAATTENTION EVERYBODY" She yelled like a drill instructor. "Inspectors Basso and DeLorenzo are gonna tie the knot. Now back to work you lazy bitches."

Nate laughed, "Yeah I am sure that everyone will just love to be called bitches!"

CD nodded, "Well I would mean it in the most loving way."

Nate chuckled. "I'm sure you do." They arrived at the station's parking lot. "How about we just go in there and see what happens? Either they see the ring or not?"

CD smiled, and got out of the car, "Works for me..but someone is bound to see it."

"Then we'll see what happens then." Nate kissed her temple and they walked inside to see Raina sitting at her desk, gagged.

CD frowned. "Okay... why are you gagged?"

Raina tried to answer but of course she could just mumble through the scarf in her mouth.

"Aaaaaaah." CD nodded and chuckled and looked over at Jinny.

Jinny who was suffering through a major headache informed the other two inspeters why, "It's a long story, but I will make it a short one. She was too drunk to tell me were she lived, and even had she not been drunk I couldn't get a word in edge wise, becasue she wouldn't SHUT UP! Then I took her to my place, which was the worst idea I think I have ever had, she kept Singing. 'Oh girls just wanna have fun...that's all they really wanna do.' over and over again, I told her nicely a few times to SHUT UP! And she didn't so I gagged her. End of story. It's been pretty quiet since then." She smirked.

Both CD and Nate laughed. CD patted Raina's head. "Good girl."

Raina gave her something like a glare at that and then something caught her eye. She jumped up and pointing at CD she continued to jump up and down and squealed through the gag, trying to inform the others of what she just noticed.

"Someone's happy to see you." Jinny said upon that and laughed.

Raina frantically shook her head and now pointed at both CD and Nate.

Jinny chuckled. "Okay... somebody's happy to see BOTH of you."

Kate came walking out of her office "What the hell is going on? Did I miss the memo that said we were having arrest, and gag your fellow officer day?"

Raina shook her head no, and tried again to explain this time though she grabbed Kate's scarf, and put it on top of her head, and letting it flow behind her like it was vail, and then ran back to CD, and Nate, and pointed at the two of them.Though the gag she manged, "Mar----ed"

Kate frowned and misunderstood Raina. She glared at CD and Nate. "Okay, why on earth did you two gag Raina? And what's with the cuffs? Kinky sex and lost they keys?"

Jinny said, "I am starting to think my Captain has a secret of being a dominatrix."

At that moment Magda walked in. She frowned herself. "What am I missing here? Fetish day?"

Raina saw Magda and now pointed at her “MMMMMMMMMMMMMM" she uttered and started to run towards her.

Magda got scared at that and ran away from her again. Raina followed and after a moment they entered through the interrogation room again, Raina had caught up with Magda, leaped forward and tackled her. Helpless on the ground Magda couldn't defend herself when Raina held up Magda's arm and pointed at her wedding band and engagement ring.

Magda now managed to push off Raina and growled. "Okay, fine. I admit it dammit! I'm seeing Jonah again!"

Jinny yelled "I knew it! I knew you were seeing him again! And it was a good thing that I gagged Raina, we’re learning all sorts of stuff with her not be able to talk."

Kate just shock her head, "I should have known you were behind all this Exstead."

"Uuuuh... what now? You gonna whip me because I was a nasty naaaasty girl?" Jinny laughed.

Everybody else burst out laughing as well, except for Raina who almost choked at the attempt of laughing along.

Nate then uncuffed himself and CD again. "And they say WE are weird."

Kate said, "Cute all of ya, now can I know what the hell is going on? And however much I would enjoy Raina not be able to talk alll day, the gag has to go."

Raina nodded at that and again pointed at CD and Nate and than ran around in a circle... well it was supposed to be a ring.

Jinny frowned. "Are you sure you want that Cap? Seems like she's STILL drunk... and she wouldn't even be gagged had she been sober..."

Kate said, joking arond, "I don't know Jin, She was with you, and knowing you, you thought you were gving her a sleeping pill, and it ended up being speed. Why otherwise would she be handcuffing people? Knocking her friend down, and running in circles?"

"MMMM MMM MMMM" Raina objected and jumped up and down frantically again. She couldn't understand why no one was getting it.

"I swear I didn't give her anything!" Jinny protested.

CD and Nate couldn't keep it down anymore and burst out laughing because for them it was obvious what Raina was trying to say.

"Uh oh..." Magda frowned. "I think whatever it is... it's contagious." She took a step back from Raina, CD and Nate and then shuddered realizing Raina had touched her already. "Maybe we should call a doctor..."

"Oh god." Jinny said, "It's not contagious. Besides if it were we would probably all have gotten about the same time as Raina. Calm down."

"I still think we should call a doctor... just to be sure." Magda said.

Kate shook her head. "What you do in your private time is your own problem Inspector Ramirez, but you will not cheat on your husband..."

At the mention of the word husband Raina squeeked through her gag again and jumped up and down.

Kate just blinked at her but then finished her sentence, "... while you're on duty under my command."

"Just be glad you don't know about everything that happens while we're on duty under your command." Jinny cracked.

Magda said, "I do not cheat on my husband while I am on duty, maybe on my lunch hour though."

Raina started jumping and pointing again at Nate when Magda had said husband.

Jinny kinda serious, but kinda playing around said, "Magda's having an affair with Nate?"

CD laughed even harder at that and slightly slapped Nate's cheek, not enough to hurt him, but enough so it made a slight slapping noise. "You bastard! And I thought I was the only one!"

Nate joked, "Ouch, And if you have had one sister you have had both."

Magda ran over to Nate, and wispered to him, "I don't recall sleeping with you, and well I am pretty DAMNDED sure that I would."

“Hey I heard that!” CD glared at Magda.

Magda smirked and wrapped her arm around Nate and stroked along his ear. "Well if you ever get bored with Blondie... you know where to find me..."

"Who knew," Jinny said, "I turn my ways around, and Magda, my best friend turns into a slut."

Nate pushed Magda's hand away again. "That's not funny anymore Magda, really."

"I wasn't kidding..." She said and looked at Jinny "And you have one helluva nerve to call me a slut... who of us has been in every single bed of this city? Me or you?"

Jinny looked at Magda, "Well at least when I was in every single man’s bed I was a single person. You on the other hand, are married, and you are coming very close my friend to having shared a bed with most the men in this city."

CD nodded. "And I swear Magda, if you ever try to make a pass at my man again I'm going to kill you." She glared at her.

At that Raina nodded hysterically because CD had called Nate 'my man'.

Magda yelled back getting upset, because everone was picking on her, "When exactly did he become just 'your man' Hmmm? How do you know he won't leave you when someone better comes along?"

CD was fumeing, "You wanna know why I call him 'MY MAN' because he is." She held out her hand so Magda could see it, and said, "He asked me to marry him last night, and I said yes!."

Nate added, "And Magda I won't find anyone better then CD because she is the BEST!"

At this point th whole room said "Awww," Except for Magda who was still pissed. And Raina breathed a sigh of relief.

CD smiled at HER man and he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her passionately.

Raina at that tore the gag out of her mouth. "I'VE BEEN SAYING THAT ALL THE TIME ALREADY!" She said pointing at CD and Nate.

Kate just shook her head at Raina, and then walked over to CD, and Nate and gave them each a hug, "I am so happy for the both of you. Congratulations!"

"Thanks." Both CD and Nate said and hugged her back and then hugged Jinny and Raina as well.

"And Raina..." Kate said held up her hand pointed at her ringfinger and then at CD.

Everybody laughed at that, getting the clue right away.

Raina looked at them, and said, "But my clues weren't that hard." She looked a little confused, and asked, "Were they?"

They all laughed even more at that.

"Well at least we now know what Kate does when her duty ends and why Magda isn't spending lunch with us anymore." Jinny said and then looked at CD and Nate. "And that thing about the handcuffs."

“Now now, " Kate defended herself, "I never said, I did any of that stuff, I just didn’t deny it. Becides I have never heard anyone complain...I mean Uhh...Gee Magda how's your sex life?"

Magda growled. "I'm off to lunch!" She called out and left.

"That good?" Kate said, "Ehhh, remind me to dock her pay. And the rest of ya back to work."

"Awwww" Raina pouted. "But we gotta celebrate!" Then she smirked and jumped again. "CHAMPAGNE!"

Teddy stepped into Kate’s office, and shut the door.

Kake asked "So what did you need to talk to me about?"

"I just have a couple of questions about the Henderson case." He said and they talked about that.

Meanwhile outside Raina rolled her chair over to CD and Nate's desks. "Sooooo...... when where, what, who?"

CD looked at Raina playfully, and said, "Last night, in the kitchen, with a knife, the butler."

Raina, smacked CD lightly in the arm, "Haha, Funny...C'mon I want details!"

"But Raina, don't ya know? The devil's in the details." CD said and smiled at her.

Nate laughed. "The devil isn't in the details, the devil's in my pants!"

CD smiled, "There's no devil in your pants, I have been there there's nothing, but pleasure there. It's more like the devil is at your place Nate."

Nate rolled his eyes and growled. "Please! Don't remind me."

CD looked at Nate, "I am sorry, I would like nothing more then to forget about that too."

Raina asked, "Forget about what?"

"The mouth of hell opened up and the outcast of evil is residing in Nate's appartment." CD said.

Raina frowned. "What?"

Jinny butted in, "That must only mean one thing....the soon to be mother-in-law was over."

CD looked at Jinny amazed, "How did you know that?"

Jinny smiled, "Well my grandmother on my mom’s side was never too happy with my dad, and that's the same name he came up with for her."

Nate growled. "Hey! She's still my mom and I love her! And she's just worried I could get hurt. She just has to get to know you better." He smiled at CD. "And your mom isn't exactly heaven-sent either if I recall correctly."

CD gave him a look. "True. Geez, I swear if your mom and my mom would fight the apocalypse will come over us."

Teddy reminded, "And let's not forget the video camera, for when both mothers end up on top of the wedding cake."

"Anytime." Teddy chuckled.

CD rolled her eyes. "Okay that's it. I'm calling the wedding off! Nate and I are gonna keep on living in shame."

Everyone in there yelled, "Over my dead body, It's taken you guys years to get together. Your not quitting that easliy."

"Oh well...." CD looked over at Nate and he shrugged.

After that they all went back to work again. Their day went by fast, and they never saw Magda again that day. They thought nothing of it though, that was happening more frequently now. They had all decided to go over to the bar, and have a few drinks, to kind of calm down after a hard day, and to celebrate Nate and CD's engagement. Teddy met them over there. They all raised their glasses after a toast and said, "Cheers."

At that moment Nate's cellphone started to ring. "Basso" He answered it.

"I am hungry! And dinner is ready! Where are you? Your shift is over, you should be home by now!" Debra had gotten worried already.

Nate started making noises, and started yelling into the phone, "Wait what's that MOM? I can't hear you. Look I’ll talk to you later." And he hung up the phone.

CD asked, "Should I throw the phone into a glass of water?"

Nate sighed. "She said dinner is ready and bla bla I should be home bla bla."

CD chuckled and then his phone rang again. She motioned him to give it to her and he did. She cleared her throat and then answered the phone in the sweetest voice "You reached Nathan Basso's mailbox. Unfortunately he is busy because he's receiving a blow job at the moment. Don't bother to leave a message. He doesn't care anyways. Beeeeep."

Nate took the phone back, he was all red, "I can't believe you just did that.!"

"Nate your mom has to realize that you are a grown man, and can get your own damn dinner, now if that had been anybody else you would have been like 'hell yeah'!" CD defended herself.

"But that was my mom dammit!" He sighed and paid for his beer. "I better go home." With that he got up and walked towards the door.

"If you're thinking I'm gonna jump up and follow you you're wrong!" She called after him.

"Good! I think that's better right now anyways!" He yelled back and stormed out.

CD was ticked after all that woman had done to her today and last night she was winning. CD slammed her fist into the table causing the table to nearly flip to one side. "Damn it!” CD yelled out in pain. "That hurt!"

Jinny sighed and looked over at her. "Wanna go for a walk or something?

CD nodded. "Sure, why not."

As the walked outside, Jinny asked, "So how's the hand?"

CD said, "How do you think?"

Jinny laughed despite how angry CD was, because that would have been her response if, she had just done the same thing. "You know CD Nate will come around to your side, if she is as big a bitch as you say he will realize it. He loves you, and you have to know that. Otherwise you would't be wearing that ring right now."

CD sighed and nodded. "I know. He was all on my side earlier at home... I mean... god, that woman... she's just downright mean! And Nate was on my side all the time. But as soon as we left the house he's on her side suddenly? What the hell is that about?" She sighed.

"The hell if, I know?" Jinny laughed, "The only thing that they’re good for is the bed."

CD laughed. "Well yeah... and trust me Nate lives up to that."

Jinny laughed even more. "Haha, Maybe I can find out one day." She saw the look CD was giving her. "Hey I was joking. I have Teddy, unless of corse you guys are into a foursome." CD slapped her arm. "Ouch I was just kidding. Gawd."

CD then smirked. "Hey you know what? The thing with the foursome doesn't sound like a bad idea..." She had a wicked grin plastered over her face.

"Uh oh... Candace DeLorenzo, you're starting to seriously scare me here..." Jinny gave her a look.

"Okay well, let's just pretend... for his momma." CD smirked. "How about you and Teddy come over for dinner tomorrow? Let's say eight? Nate's place."

Jinny said, “Sounds good to me. And I know Teddy would do anything to get away from my cooking. At least none of us will have to bring the handcuffs, cause they will already be there."

CD laughed, and then said, "Yeah well I might be useing those to handcuff his mom to the bed."

Jinny smirked, "What you do with his mom is your business on your own time."

CD made a disguisted face at that. "Ewwwww"

Jinny laughed. "So,” she said, "What are ya making for dinner tomorrow?"

"For us? Maybe spaghetti or something. For his mom? Arson and rat poison!" CD answered.

"Well I will make sure not to put parmesan cheese on top of mine so I can see the white posioning." Jinny laughed.

"I have no reason to poison you." CD laughed. "Well not yet anyway."

"Yeah doesn't mean the food won't get mixed up. Hey I am really sorry about tonight. I will beat his ass if, you want me too?" Jinny asked.

"No, it's okay, thanks though." She smiled at her and hugged her. "I think I'd better apologize. Maybe I really overdid it a little."

Jinny laughed, and hugged her back, "Yeah, but it was funny what you said, In ten years you guys will be laughing about this. And on your way to having your tenth kid."

CD laughed. "No way. I ain't no baby machine. Nuh uh."

"Hahaha, You will see. You and Nate will be livin in a shack with all these kids running around." Jinny hit CD's arm joking around.

"Geez" CD shuddered. "That's a nasty mental image Jinny. Me standing at a stove, a toddler in my arm, about to pop again and yelling at a handful of dirty and filthy kids who are fighting over some broken toy, while daddy Nate comes in, hasn't shaved in at least a week, cigarette in his mouth, holding up a dead cat that he ran over with his truck and calling out 'Look what I got for dinner!'"

Jinny cracked up, "Hey pretty picture to me. Me now in ten years will have this nice beatiful house with a nice green grass. Maybe one or two kids."

CD laughed. "I think the Basso family oughta visit the Blumenthal family then... oh and not to forget mommie dearest who will live with us. She's gonna be in a wheelchair, but mean as ever..." CD laughed. "You know that TV series with the dinosaurs? Kinda like the grandma there."

Jinny yelled, and mocked the baby dinosaur, "Not the mamma! NOT THE MAMMA!”

CD cracked up now. "Yeah that'll be our youngest."

Jinny laughed, "Well Nate had better grow some think skin around his head."

Jinny kinda missed her 'best friend' but for some reason she just wasn't the same as she used to be. And now CD had taken her place. "Yeah well I think Magda has misplaced herself.”

CD nodded. "She changed so much during the last years." She sighed. "You remember how the three of us always used to hang out, sometimes with cap? And then Dick got shot, Angela came and went again, then you met Teddy, Gabe came back, I met Nate and so on." She chuckled.

"Yeah everything has changed." Jinny thought deeply, and for the first time in a long time she realized, "You know I am happy. Happier then I have ever been. And it's all becasue of Teddy, and my friends, like you." She gave CD another hug.

CD hugged her back. "Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. Except Nate for me, not Teddy."

"Yeah and it better stay that way!" Jinny joked.

"Well who knows." CD laughed.

"Phhhsssh." Jinny crossed her arms. "Keep your grubby hands off my man."

CD laughed. "No worries. I'm more than happy with Nate." She grinned and looked at her ring again. "And now I'ma gonna go and tell him that."

Jinny and CD said their goodbyes, and headed their seperate ways. CD arrived at Nate's a little while later, and went to knock on the door. Debra answered the door.

"Hi. Is ummm Nate around?" CD managed a small smile.

Debra knew Nate couldn't have possibly heard the door because he was under the shower.

"You just missed him hon." She said friendly. "You know Toni? His ex? She just called and said she needed him, so he right away ran to her." She sighed. "No idea why, but when she says 'jump' he asks 'how high?'" She shrugged.

"His ex-partner Toni?" CD asked because Nate had solemnly sworn to her that all they had been were partners.

"I think he's still not over her." Debra sighed. "As soon as she snaps her fingers he goes running back to her. How stupid is that?" She pretended to be all upset about that even though it wasn't even true. "I keep on telling him, Nathan, son, she's just playing with you... but nooo, it's like she put a spell on him. All he needs to hear is her name and he's in a trance." She shrugged and opened the door a little more. "Wanna come in honey? I bet he'll be home in a couple of hours."

CD thought the Nate that his mother was explaining surely didn't sound like the man that she knew, and loved. But it had to be true because otherwise she was sure he would have come to the door himself by now. CD could feel that something was wrong with this picture but would his mother actually lie to her? "I guess I will talk to him tomorrow then. Good night.” CD said feeling rather dejected.

CD's back was turned and walking away, when his mother smirked, "Yeah good night to you too. Drive careful."

"I will" CD said and left, wondering if that could be true what Debra had implied. Was Nate really in love with Toni and with her now? But that was nonsense. She was the one wearing his ring and she trusted Nate completely. She drove home and sat by the phone, waiting for it to ring and Nate telling her he was sorry that he had missed her. But the phone never rang.

Neither did Nate's, even though he sat there waiting for it to ring all night long.

They both fell asleep eventually, each holding the phone, cellphone next to them on the couch.

How sweet. And sad. I love the girl talk with Jinny and CD.
Poor CD and Nate, they are so pitiful.

But, I do have a question. Did they say on the show that CD had her tubes tied, or is that just writer's priviledge?

They said it on the show. I know they said it in season one, episode "Hero" and season three "Cradle Will Rock", maybe even in some others. Not sure. :) But they did say it.

In the morning both phones started to ring at the same time. Jinny had spent the night at Teddy's and they decided to check on them to see if they were alright again.

CD and Nate both jumped up and answered their phones startled. "CD?" Nate called into the phone while CD called out "Nate?"

"Well, if that what you want to call me," Jinny said with a laugh. "but last time I looked I had long brown hair not short, and I believe i am missing something down below."

CD groaned. "Well then call me back when something's grown there"

Teddy meanwhile answered Nate. "No, but I know someone who is talking to her right now."

"I see someone's woken up on the wrong side of the bed." Jinny laughed

CD, "Try on the wrong side of the couch."

"Hey..." Teddy nudged Jinny and took the phone from her and held both phones close together.

"Who's talking to her?" Nate asked.

"Talking to who?" CD asked, now hearing him because of Teddy's little trick.

"What are you doing there?" Nate asked upon suddenly hearing CD's voice.

"I live here?" She frowned.

"WHAT? Since when do you live with Teddy?" He asked shocked.

"Are you insane, I don't live with Teddy! How the hell did you get on the phone anway?"

"I answered it dumbie. D'oh." He rolled his eyes.

"Call me dumbie again and I swear you'll have a ring flying right back at ya!" She yelled.

"Fine!" Nate yelled into the phone, and then hung up.

Jinny sighed because she and Teddy had been able to hear the whole conversation. She took the phone again. "Great job CD, really."

"Oooh Bite Me!" CD hung up herself, snatched her keys and drove to Nate's appartment.

When CD got there she knocked on his door and this time he answered himself. "What do you want here?" He asked, still upset but surprised to see her.

"I'm guessing you want your ring back." She said and started to put it off

Nate sighed and put his hand over hers, to stop her. "NO I gave you the ring. One little fight isn't goint to make me make you give me back the ring."

CD glared at him, "Oh this fight isn't over yet."

Nate smirked, "Good the longer the fight, the longer and better the makeup!"

"You're such a damn idiot! And I'm sure as hell not gonna make up with you! I shouldn't even have come here!" At that she turned around and left, muttering 'jerk.'

"Hey wait!" He yelled, Following her, "What about my ride?"

She turned around again. "What?"

"CD, you’re my ride!" He mimicked like he was driving in a car taking like a drivers wheel, and turning it back in forth.

CD looked at him weird, "Well if you drive like that you will get into an accident."

"Duh, That's why I have you drive!" Nate yelled.

"Then call a cab or whatever. Or how about Toni? I bet she'd just love to be your ride." With that she angrily left

Nate walked back into his appament, and slammed his door, "What the hell did she mean by Toni giving me a ride?"

CD got to work and walked inside down stairs she ran, in to Raina, who asked, "Where's Nate?"

CD groweld "Do I look like his keeper?"

Raina frowned. "Well the ring on your finger pretty much implies that."

CD rolled her eyes and pushed past her. When CD got up stairs Magda looked at her, and said, "Aww look it’s one half of the love birds."

"I'm not anyone's half!" CD growled and glared at her.

Jinny came in time before the both of them were in an arugment. Jinny told Magda, "Why don't you give her some space today?"

"Geez, what's going on here? Collective PMS?" Magda glared at Jinny and then saw Raina and decided she'd rather talk to her and left them.

"So..." Jinny asked carefully. “You want to go grab a coffee?"

"Yeah why not." CD agreed.

They got into the elevator, and Jinny asked, "So...Everything okay? You wanna talk about it?"

"It's just his mom... I think" She sighed.

"You think? What do you think she did?" Jinny asked.

She shrugged. "It's just... yesterday night when I wanted to talk to him..."
Jinny couldn't help but laugh, "Is that why you woke-up on the couch?"

"What?" She frowned.

"When I called this morning, I said, ‘What happed did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed?’, and you said, ‘Try the couch.’ So I just figured that you had slept on the couch. Do I have that right?" Jinny explained herself.

CD muttered embarrassed to admit that she had tried to wait for Nate to call her last night, "Well..” CD said, "When I got over to his house last night, his mother told me that he was with Toni, his ex-partner."

Jinny nodded. "Well maybe he needed to rant and hang out with him a little."

"He's a she. A young and attractive one even." CD growled. "Who admitted to me she had the hots for Nate."

Jinny and CD stopped walking, and got into the long line for coffee. Jinny looked at her, "Well does Nate have the hots for her?"

CD looked kinda sad, "He never said he did, but his mother said last night that when ever Toni had called he came running, so I am taking that as a yes, if she is telling the truth."

Jinny sighed. "So what do you think now?"

CD shrugged. "I mean I don't have reason not to trust him... but he wasn't there... and the call this morning, well you heard it.”

"Yeah," Jinny sighed, "Sorry about that."

As they got up to the stand with coffee they saw Nate, and Teddy walking in. Nate walked up to them, "Hey thanks for the ride CD! Thanks to you I am late, tired, and made Teddy late, because I needed a ride, and when I got into his car I spilled coffee onto my shirt, and didn't have time to go get another shirt. So now I have to wear this all day."

Jinny laughed, "You could go shirtless."

CD tried to hold in her smile of how bad his morning was, "BooHoo." She said. "Oh yeah? And thanks to you I have a stiff neck and had both Raina and Magda bitch at me already."

Nate glared, "OOH, and I fortgot about my stiff neck!"

She snorted at that. "Yeah right. As if your neck is what you had stiff last night." She grabbed her coffee and glared at him. "And I honestly think there's not enough coffee yet!" She splashed it against his shirt.

He jumped at that. "Hey OUCH! That was hot!"

"Good!" She glared and stormed off again.

Jinny gave Teddy a quick kiss, and said, "Talk to you later." Then she gave Nate a quick glare, and ran off to catch up with her friend.

Nate said, "What? What did I do?"

Teddy smiled, "You’re a man. That’s all you have to be."

"Somehow I think there's more behind it than PMS" He sighed and looked down at his shirt. "You don't happen to have a spare shirt, do ya?"

Teddy sighed "I am sorry. I don't. And I am late for court, so I have to go."
Teddy looked down then back. "I am sorry for your luck, I mean you have to work with them all day. But ahh, If Jinny will even let you talk to her, will you tell her that I will call her later."

Nate sighed. "I wonder what's wrong? Could you ask Jin? Maybe CD told her something."

"Yeah I can try, but you know I will be sworn to secrecy." Teddy said

Nate sighed again. "Teddy, I love that woman to death and the way she's acting right now I'm scared she's gonna call off the wedding."

"I am sorry Nate I will do whatever I can to find out whats going on. Do you have any idea what you might have done? Because if, Jinny thinks I am trying to get info for you she will kill me!" Teddy said

Nate sighed. "I don't know... but she mentioned Toni today."

"Who's he?" Teddy asked same as Jinny thinking it was a guy.

"My ex-partner, female though." Nate answered truthfully.

Teddy raises his eyebrow, "Ex-partner, as in sex...or...?"

"What? NO! Geez." He rolled his eyes. "Just because I fell in love with CD doesn't mean I sleep with everybody who I work with! Toni was, and still is, like a little sister to me."

Teddy raised his hands, "Okay okay. Could someone have given her the wrong idea?"

"No!" He said. "I don't know where that came from, she knows exactly we're just friends."

Once again he raised his hands and said, "Okay okay. Listen I have to go to work and judging from the person coming over here so do you." He nodded in the direction of Raina.

Raina walked up to them and said, "Hey." Then she looked at Nate and said, "So I hear you and CD had a little argument?"

Nate asked, "What exactly did she tell you?"

Raina looked at him trying to fish, "Well you know..."

Nate looked at her, and shook his head, "That's what I thought."

Raina asked, "What?"

Nate stated, "She told you nothing."

Raina growled. "Well she said enough to make me realize you did something!" She glared at him. "So what did you do? Please don't tell me you suggested something stupid for the wedding!"

Nate yelled back at her, "I didn't DO anything!"

"Aaaaa-HA!" She exclaimed and grinned.

Nate glared at her. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?"

She grinned and pointed at him. "Then it's something you did NOT do!"

Nate glared, "Here in a second, it's going to be something I DID do, and it won't be TO CD either!"

"Whoa... no need to be so bitchy." She rolled her eyes. "Well that you two have in common!"

Nate rolled his eyes and like CD had done earlier, left Raina standing there.

Raina, looked after him, and said to herself, "Boy, it's no wonder those two are fighting, they are so much a like."

When Nate walked into the bullpen, he sat down across from CD and they ignored each other as they finished up some long due paperwork.

Jinny glanced over at them every now and then and sighed because she wanted them to be happy together again. At that moment her phone rang and she answered it. "Exstead?"

"Hey Jin, it's Teddy, How's it going?" He asked

She sighed "Ehhh. And you?"

He smiled, "Well I won my court case, but I miss you. What about CD, and Nate? They make up yet?"

"Nope. They give each other the silent treatment. It's scary." She answered. "And I miss you too."

He sighed, "Do they even know what they are argueing about?"

"CD has a suspicion... and that's not a good one." She sighed.

"Awww." Teddy responded, "Someone by the name of Toni?"

"What?" Jinny asked in shock. "He actually told you?" She hissed into the phone.

"No, he didn't tell me, he ummm...Well guessed I think, because of something CD said to him."

"So it's true?" Jinny asked. "He did that?"

"No." Teddy said, "He wouldn't do that. He said he loved CD. Nate doesn't even know where she would get the idea that he was with Toni."

"Maybe because he wasn't home when she wanted to talk to him and his mother told her so." She sighed. "I think they should talk that out themselves instead of you and me."

"His mother told her?" He asked

"I know I know, you don't think we should be talking about it, but I want to help our friends out. They belong together." He said.

"Yeah they do. But I get your point. Call him and tell him to talk to her, because CD's too damn stubborn to make the first step now." She knew her friend well enough for that.

He said, "Okay, I will." Before he hung up he said, "Oh, and Jinny..."

Jinny asked, "What?"

"I love you." he said sweetly

She grinned at that. "Love ya too." Then she hung up.

A moment later Nate's phone rang and he picked up. "Basso"

"Hey" Teddy said, "You got a minute to talk?"

"Yeah. Do you have any new information?" He asked.

CD muttered to her self, "Gee that Toni that you’re talking to?"

Nate glared at CD for that comment. "As a matter of fact, yes." Then he turned to the phone again. "Say, what color are your panties today?"

Teddy raised his eyebrows, "Excuse me?"

Nate chuckled. "Red huh?"

Teddy wasn't quite sure what the hell was going on but it was quite clear that CD thought he was a she, and more than likely Toni. He just smiled, and said, "Nice talking to you too CD."

"Teddy!" She realized and glared at Nate. "So you're wearing red panties huh? Well, I'm sorry I interrupted your phonesex with my partner." She handed the phone back to Nate, still glaring.

Nate took the phone, "I am back sorry about that."

“Ohh, that's okay, Sounds like you have your hands full today." Teddy said.

CD rolled her eyes again, got up and walked into Kate's office.

He growled. "I have no idea why, but she's suddenly all jealous of my ex-partner. It's crazy, really."

Teddy said, "Nate look from what I gathered from Jinny. CD stopped by your house last night, and asked for you. Your Mother told her that you were out." He paused for a secound, and then said, "With Toni."

"SHE WHAT?" Nate couldn't believe it, but now it all made sense. He growled. "Hey thanks Teddy."

"Oh no problem. I am just sorry that the two of you were too stubborn to talk it out yourselves. You know it's important to talk things out in a relationship." Teddy lectured.

"She was the one who wouldn't talk to me." He sighed. "But she'll have to now. Thanks again Teddy."

"No problem man." Teddy said. "See ya tonight then."

"Yeah see ya at the Anchorside." Nate said.

"No at your place." Teddy corrected. "CD invited Jin and me over for dinner."

He frowned at that. "See, she forgot to mention that to me as well."

Teddy laughed, "Well I gotta go, I guess you two have some talking to do. bye."

"Bye" Nate said and hung up.

Meanwhile in Kate's office the Captain looked up when she heard somebody enter and saw CD there. "How can I help you?

"Permission to take my partner to the target range? We need to practice." CD said.

Kate frowned at that and looked at her questioningly. "You do?"

"Yeah." CD answered. "I need to practice shooting and he needs to practice being a target."

"Trouble in paradise?" Kate asked.

CD growled and rolled her eyes. "He's such a jerk now that I'm wearing this damn ring. It's like he's thinking he has me and no matter what he does that's gonna stay like it."

Kate responded, "Men can be like that, but I am sorry, I just don't see Nate like that. Are you sure there isn't some kind of mixed up signal that the two of you are having?"

"The mixed up signal's name is Toni and is his ex-partner." CD growled.

Then Nate walked in. "Hey, CD? Can we talk?"

"I don't wanna talk to you." She growled.

Nate was getting frustrated. She wasn't even giving him a chance to explain, "Look CD I really think we need to talk. I need to tell you something about last night Damn it!"

"Spare me the details. I know already." She glared at him. "How COULD you?"

"CD that just it!" He yelled, "I didn't do anything!"

"Yeaaaah right." She rolled her eyes.

That got him angry as well. "Dammit you don't trust me one bit, do you?

"I did until yesterday night!" She yelled back at him.

Kate looked back and forth between the two partners. "Okay!" Kate yelled, "Both of you knock it off!" She looked at her watch, and said, "I don't know what is going on between the both of you, but I suggest you figure it out, by the time I get back from my meeting. Got it?" Kate asked.

"Whatever." CD muttered.

Nate sighed. "If she's gonna listen to me..."

"God." Kate sighed, "You two are giving me a headache." She walked to the coat tree, and grabed her coat. "Oh, and when ya make up, try to put everything back were it was on my desk." Kate smirked, "Because if I know the two of you have done it there, it’s going to be awfully hard for me to work there." With that Kate left, and shut the door.

Nate smirked at CD. "If we should tell her we've already done it there?"

"Well that's not ever gonna happen again!" CD glared at him still.

He sighed and took her hand. "Look, Teddy told me that you told Jinny that my mom told you I was with Toni."

"How could Teddy tell you something you alredy knew?" CD asked.

"That's just it!" Nate said. "I did not know! And if you don't believe me you can call Toni and ask her, I wasn't with her! I was home all evening."

"Too bad that I know you weren't because I was there." CD glared at him.

"CD when were you there? I really was at home. I had no idea you were there or else I wouldn't have let you go again."

She shrugged. "About an hour after you left the bar maybe."

"I was taking a shower about that time." He said.

"What?" CD asked. Wait...You mean to tell me that your mom lied to me?!"

"I can't believe it but that's the way it seems to be." He sighed.

CD sighed, she wasn't sure now was a good time to tell him where his mother could go for lying to her last night. Hell she thought it probably wasn't a good time to tell him his mother put on a good act, and was nothing more then a bitch. CD knew she hadn't been fair to Nate now. She felt bad, and for the first time that day she smiled at him, "I am uumm...Well you know." It was hard for her to say she was sorry."I am...sorry, for jumping to conclusions about last night, and not letting you talk."

"It's not your fault baby." He whispered and took her into his arms. "And I'm sorry that happened. My mother had no right to tell you that. She didn't even tell me you were there." He sighed. "All night long I waited for my damn phone to ring because I hoped you'd call me."

She hugged him back, "God your arms feel so good around me. And for the record. I stayed awake as long as I could on my couch, waiting for you to call too."

"I would have, had I known you were there. And another thing for the record, I love you very much and I would never ever jeopardize the best thing that ever happened to me. Not with Toni, and not with anybody else. If I hang around with Toni, first of all if you want to, you can come too, because I love having you around me, and Toni is just a friend. She's like a littte sister to me and that's all. Is that clear now?"

She smiled, and grabbed his shirt, and pulled him very close to her, and said, "That's very clear Mr. Basso.” Then pulled him into a kiss.

He was glad they finally had worked everything out again and happily kissed her back. He picked her up and sat her down on Kate's desk, not breaking the kiss.
Raina called out, from outside the door, "Hey guys, I got the camcorder just right."

Nate growled at Raina's comment and whispered into CD's ear, "Let's go to a motel?"

CD smirked, "Maybe we should give them a show? Show them how's it done.”

"That'll be the show of their lives then." He whispered and claimed her mouth for another kiss.

Raina didn't like to be ignored, so again she called out. "HEYYYY SMILE!!!!!! YOU'RE ON CANDID CAMERA!!!!"

Both Nate, and CD shouted, "Oh, shut up! And get a life. Not our life either."

Jinny who had been in the bathroom, walked over, and put her hand over the camara, "Show’s over!" Jinny took the camara, and pulled out the tape, and broke the tape. "Go back to work before I tell cap about well..." Jinny smiled, at Raina, "You know."

Raina growled. "But THEY..." She pointed at CD and Nate.

"THEY are none of your buisness." Jinny said and steered her away.

Raina pouted, "You’re no fun!"

"Do you want a gag again?" Jinny glared at her.

Still pouting she shook her head.

"Yeah, that's what I thought." Jinny chuckled.

Back in Kate’s office both Nate, and CD were fully unclothed. and the desk was cleared off. Nate started kissing CD down to her belly. CD's body shiverd, "Oh my god. I can't take it anymore."

"Me neither" He whispered against her skin and as he looked deep into her eyes as he slowly started to make love to her.

A while later Kate walked into the bullpen again and it clear that her meeting didn't go well at all. She wore on her face a look of a lion ready to strick. Jinny wispered to Magda, "Get the popcon out, now this is going to be a good show!"

"What? Why?" Magda muttered.

Jinny rolled her eyes and then followed Raina who ran up to Kate with the camera.

"Can I film you how you go in there?" She grinned.

"What?" Kate frowned.

"NO! Raina!" Jinny pushed her aside and stepped in front of Kate. "Raina thinks you should be an actress in Hollywood."

"Okay?" Kate said questioningly, "If, you are trying to piss me off, I am already there." Kate smiled sarcastically.

"Ehhh." Jinny frowned and cleared her throat. "In that case you might not wanna go in there."

Kate had to half laugh while she said, "What are CD and Nate in there having sex?" She happened to look over at their desks, and saw that neither of them were sitting there.

"They wouldn't dare to...." Jinny muttered.

Kate frowned at that and walked towards her office. She opended the door to her office, and saw them all in their glory. They both looked up with embarrassment on their faces. Then if, anything couldn't get any worse the desk colapsed underneath them. Kate sighed, "When I told you two to make up by the time I got back, I didn't mean for you to make out or have sex or whatever the hell you would like to call it." She started walking out of her office, and shouted to the both of them, "Oh, and by the way the both of you owe me a new desk." She shut the door to her office only to find Raina in her face with that camera.

Kate reached for Raina's camera and did the same that Jinny had done earlier and destroyed the tape.

"Heeeey!" Raina whined. "That was my LAST tape!"

Kate glared at her, "A tape is a hell of a lot less expensive than a new camcorder."

She right away protectingly hugged her cam and said, "Uhh, I think I will just be going, and putting this in my locker."

Kate asked, but not wanting an answer, "You think?"

Jinny had been having a hard time keeping in her laughter, and finally she couldn't hold it anymore, and just burst out laughing, "Man this day can't get any better!"

At that CD and Nate walked out of Kate's office again, adjusting their clothes some more.
Jinny couldn't help it she doubled over in pain from laughing so hard. She put her hand on Kate's shoulder to keep herself from falling over. She said, "Haha, Cap walked in on the two of you! You two are so busted!"

"Shut up." They both muttered.

"Yeah well, what shall I say... I miss her basement." Nate laughed.

Kate smiled, "Well that’s how I like to leave them, 'beggin for more'!” On that note she sighed “I am leaving casue I have no desk to work at."

Jinny asked, "Hey if, my desk fell apart, could I go home?"

"No." Kate said, "I would just make you work at Raina's deck with her!"

"In that case my desk better NEVER break down." She glared at CD and Nate at that.

Nate winked at Jinny, "Your desk isn't big enough, believe me we know."

"Ewwwww." Jinny said, "I want a new desk!"

CD laughed. "You might want a new chair too.”

"Gross" Jinny said, and went over to get a pair of gloves on. "Excuse me Mag," She got in Mag's desk drawer were she knew that she had a can of lysical, and she started spraying it around her desk, and chair.

At that moment Raina walked back in and frowned. "Why is Jinny doing that?"

CD laughed. "Because she actually believed Nate and I would have sex on her desk and chair. I mean come on Jin, somebody is in here almost all the time, what do you think why we always went in there?" She pointed at Kate's office. "Instead of using our own desks..."

"Haha," Kate laughed, "You’re all a bunch of comedians!"

"See? That's why you love to work with us so much!" Jinny grinned.

"Work!" Kate said. "That's a good keyword... get going and stop hanging around here. Your job is to fight crime, not each other!"

Kate sighed, "The only thing I see is harassment." And she looked back into her office, and gave CD and Nate a look, "And a broken desk."

"Sex and violence... we live in a bad world these days." Jinny laughed as CD now jumped at Nate's back and he tried to shake her off again.

Kate smiled, "Sex is tolerable, but not in my office." Then she started chuckling, "Now violence on the other hand is cruel, and unusual. Just don't ask the people down in my basement."

Nate meanwhile had managed to shake CD off again and pushed her to the ground, holding her there. He then grinned at her and leaned down to softly kiss her.

Kate sighed. "Alright everybody. Enough of this for now. And you two, get off each other. This still is a police station and not a motel that charges by the hour!"

They all realized it really was time to stop fooling around and all got to work again.

Nate, CD and Jinny started walking their seperate ways when Nate asked CD, "Oh, and what is this I hear about dinner at my place tonight with Jinny, and Teddy?”

"Ooooh that..." CD grinned. "Well, thing is, yesterday after you had left Jinny and I were joking around that we should go for a foursome one day. So I told them they could come for dinner today."

"A foursome...Huh?" Nate smirked, "Works for me so long as I don't have to touch Teddy."

She looked at him perplexed at that. "You'd seriously hit the sheets with Jinny and Teddy in the bed as well? And you wouldn't mind her all over you and him all over me?"

He laughed, "NO! I am not serious. I can be all over Jinny, but you can't touch Teddy, and likewise."

She glared at him. "But you get to be all over Jinny. Yeah right. No way!"

She glared at him, and gave him the case file, "You’re nuts!”

Nate smirked and wiggled his eyebrows at her. "Yup, I do have them. Wanna see?"

CD groaned. "Seen it before... and trust me it isn't that much of an attraction at all. I've seen better."

Nate asked, "Who's?"

CD blurted out before she could stop herself. "Your momma's!"

"I am gonna ignore that you said that." He looked at the file.

They all worked their cases. It came to the end of the day.

In the evening CD went home with Nate again. They had stopped to do some grocery shopping because CD was planning to cook.

They arrived at the store and Nate got a cart. Before she had a chance to protest Nate had swept CD off her feet and suddenly she was sitting inside of the cart.

“Nate!" She looked at him as if he lost it.

"What?" He asked with a smile."

CD glared at him, "You know what!"

Nate looked at her innocently and said, "No I don't."

"Get me out of this cart!" CD said through clenched teeth.

"Why would I?" He smirked. "This is where the fun starts baby." With that he pushed her through the door running.

"NATE!" She warned him but had to chuckle, actually enjoying it. "This is so childish! Stop it dammit!"

"Oh come on." He smirked at her as he stopped the cart. "We both know you love it." He leaned in to give her a passionate kiss. "So shred your professional shell and have some fun with me."

CD was still laughing, "I am not shredding anything." She kissed him back, and after they were done kissing He started running her through the store again. CD just shook her head, and put her hands over her face, "God, I can't believe this is happeing."

He chuckled. "Shut your face and enjoy it before I start shredding you."

She laughed. "We'd get arrested for public exposure and disordely conduct then."

"And that'd be a bad thing?" He laughed.

She just gave him a look at that. "Sooo... what shall I cook?"

He grinned. "Chili! I love your chili!"

"Okay." She said, "You don't think it would be to spicy for anyone do you?"

"No way!" He smiled. "See, that's why I love you so much. Because you spice up my life!"

She laughed. "Idiot!!! Alright then, take me to the veggies baby!" She pointed towards that direction.

He spun her around, and she felt dizzy for a second, and then he said, "See this is fun."

"Yeah." CD grunted, "Remind me to take you to an amusement park and take you on one of those rides were it spins around and around, and you have that wheel in the middle that you can turn, and that makes you go around, and around some more. Then we’ll see how much you like it."

Nate smiled, "Sounds like fun to me."

"Yeah Nate, you would think that." She laughed.

He smirked. "And then we go on a rollercoaster? I do I get cotton candy as well?"

"No!" she rolled her eyes.

"Oh well." He sighed. "But then again I already have my favorite Candy in the cart anyways." With that he raced off towards the veggies.

Nate had billed up a lot of speed, "Nate you’re going too fast! You’re going to hit someone!" CD warned him.

"Would you relax? It's not like I am racing a car or something." Nate said with a smile.

“Let alone should you be racing me around in a shopping cart!" She looked at him as he increased his speed. "Heaven help you if this thing falls over and I fall out of it!"

Nate growled and for a moment didn't look where he was going but looked at her instead. "Didn't we agree on enjoying this?"

CD yelled, "I didn't agree to anything." She suddleny saw someone. "OH my God Nate STOP!"

But it was too late, Nate tried to stop, but he was just going too fast. Before he knew it he had run right into the person. They had gone flying into a pyramid of watermelons, and the watermelons had gone everywere.

The cart had fallen over too and CD crawled out of it and then helped the woman they had crashed into up.

"Owwwww" She held her side, a cucumber in her other hand she glared at those two who had caused the crash. "YOUUUU!" She pointed at Nate with the cucumber.

Kate laughed and then got some pacifiers out of her cart. "I wanted to buy those for Amanda and Jill, but seems like you need em more than I do."

"Guys, it's getting bor..." Nate said but was cut off because CD stuffed one of the pacifiers into his mouth.

"Now He looks like Raina did after Jinny gagged her." Kate laughed.

CD chuckled. "You just wanna get spanked."

Kate smiled, "You have a deal. And for this special occasion I might even bring one of the guys from my basement out to play!"

CD laughed. "But a cute one please."

"Okay." Kate admitted, "The ex-husband isn't that cute, But he never gets to come up out of the basement to come out, and play. As a matter of fact I believe that he is hiding somewhere in a closet."

Together they went to the cashier and paid for their stuff. "So," Kate asked, "What time should I be over, and should I bring anything else, besides one of my good looking men?"

"If you want to you can come with us right away." Nate said. He'd be glad if she was there to help him keep CD and his mom from killing each other. "Besides we all know the thing about your basement is a joke." He chuckled.

Kate gave him a serious look at that. "If you say so..."

That confused him and he frowned. "It is a joke, isn't it?"

Kate just smirked. "Just hope you won't ever find out..."

"Don't worry, cap, " Nate said, "I won't go anywere close to your house."

Kate smiled at him, "Well as long as you don't hurt CD I guess we won't have to worry about that then will we?"

CD smiled at him adoringly and kissed his cheek. "He'd never hurt me."

"Funny." Kate, said, "And I thought you were going to kill him this morning."

"So?" She shrugged. "People change."

"You wanted to kill me?!?" Nate asked shocked

CD changed the subject. "So, Kate, you coming over now?"

Kate said "Yeah sure. Just let me give this guy friend of mine a call, and see if he can make it."

"Who is that guy?" CD asked with a smile

"Oh, his name is Alex." Kate smiled at the name. She picked up her phone, and dialed a number, "Hi, Alex. Yeah it's Kate. I am fine." She laughed, "Hey would you like to come over to a friends house with me?" She asked. "Ok..Okay...Great! Hold on a sec." She put her hand over the phone, and asked CD, "What time would you like him over?"

"The others come at 8." CD said.

"Okay, Great Thanks," Kate said and went back to talking into her cell phone. "Hey meet at eight. Ready for the directions?" Kate gave him the directions, and then hung up, by this time they had all gotten out to their cars.

CD smiled. "Where'd ya meet him?"

Kate smiled, "Well it wasn't in my basement."

"I figured that much." CD laughed.

"Ha!" Nate said. "The basement is a lie! I KNEW it!"

Kate had to laugh at Nate. "We actully met here." She said, and then jokingly glared at Nate, "AND NO he didn't bump into me with a cart like other people."

CD laughed too, "Nate your never gonna live that down."

Nate growled. "You're all so no fun."

"Oh, we’re fun," CD said, "We just don't like getting all bruised up because of some crazy man driving a shopping cart thinking it's the indy fivehundred!"

Kate nodded and rubbed the side of her thigh but then gave CD a look. "YOU were IN that thing though."

"Hey!" CD yelled jokeingly, "It wasn't by choice, and he didn't stop long enough for me to get out. Clearly I wouldn't have gotten in there on my own!"

it's really long, but I HAD TO HIGHLIGHT the best moments of this whole fic that I just read for the first time beginning to end. Also, I loved all the pics you guys kick ARSE! And I loved the whole fic beginning to end, and there were too many awesome moments to post, so I tried to highlight the best ones! Here ya go! :-D

"Yo people... CD's my personal ho now." He said and smirked at her. "Like that?"She could hardly contain her laugh she was cracking up. "Your mom would love that!"

Jinny yelled "I knew it! I knew you were seeing him again! And it was a good thing that I gagged Raina, we’re learning all sorts of stuff with her not be able to talk."

Kate just shock her head, "I should have known you were behind all this Exstead." "Uuuuh... what now? You gonna whip me because I was a nasty naaaasty girl?" Jinny laughed. Everybody else burst out laughing as well, except for Raina who almost choked at the attempt of laughing along.

CD was fumeing, "You wanna know why I call him 'MY MAN' because he is." She held out her hand so Magda could see it, and said, "He asked me to marry him last night, and I said yes!."

Nate added, "And Magda I won't find anyone better then CD because she is the BEST!" At this point the whole room said "Awww," Except for Magda who was still pissed. And Raina breathed a sigh of relief.

Jinny smirked. "Sorry, I don't have any twins as far as I know." She then reached for CD's hand and pulled her close. "But what about her here? Her brand new fiance is already having an affair with the sister of his ex... welcome to the Felony Soap." She chuckled.

Meanwhile outside Raina rolled her chair over to CD and Nate's desks. "Sooooo...... when where, what, who?" CD looked at Raina playfully, and said, "Last night, in the kitchen, with a knife, the butler."

CD chuckled and then his phone rang again. She motioned him to give it to her and he did. She cleared her throat and then answered the phone in the sweetest voice "You reached Nathan Basso's mailbox. Unfortunately he is busy because he's receiving a blow job at the moment. Don't bother to leave a message. He doesn't care anyways. Beeeeep."

Jinny laughed. "So,” she said, "What are ya making for dinner tomorrow?" "For us? Maybe spaghetti or something. For his mom? Arson and rat poison!" CD answered.

CD then smirked. "Hey you know what? The thing with the foursome doesn't sound like a bad idea..." She had a wicked grin plastered over her face. <<When I read that in my head, I went ohhhhhhhhh noooooooooooo!

Me standing at a stove, a toddler in my arm, about to pop again and yelling at a handful of dirty and filthy kids who are fighting over some broken toy, while daddy Nate comes in, hasn't shaved in at least a week, cigarette in his mouth, holding up a dead cat that he ran over with his truck and calling out 'Look what I got for dinner!'" CD laughed. "I think the Basso family oughta visit the Blumenthal family then... oh and not to forget mommie dearest who will live with us. She's gonna be in a wheelchair, but mean as ever..." CD laughed. "You know that TV series with the dinosaurs? Kinda like the grandma there."
Jinny yelled, and mocked the baby dinosaur, "Not the mamma! NOT THE MAMMA!”
CD cracked up now. "Yeah that'll be our youngest."

"Well then call me back when something's grown there"<< OMG OMG ROTF THIS IS TOO MUCH! lol

"I'm guessing you want your ring back." She said and started to put it off. Nate sighed and put his hand over hers, to stop her. "NO I gave you the ring. One little fight isn't goint to make me make you give me back the ring." CD glared at him, "Oh this fight isn't over yet."
Nate smirked, "Good the longer the fight, the longer and better the makeup!" "You're such a damn idiot! And I'm sure as hell not gonna make up with you! I shouldn't even have come here!" At that she turned around and left, muttering 'jerk.' "Hey wait!" He yelled, Following her, "What about my ride?" She turned around again. "What?" "CD, you’re my ride!" He mimicked like he was driving in a car taking like a drivers wheel, and turning it back in forth. CD looked at him weird, "Well if you drive like that you will get into an accident." "Duh, That's why I have you drive!" Nate yelled. "Then call a cab or whatever. Or how about Toni? I bet she'd just love to be your ride." With that she angrily left.

Nate walked back into his appament, and slammed his door, "What the hell did she mean by Toni giving me a ride?"<<<OH YOU TWO! You're both crazy!

Nate glared, "OOH, and I forgot about my stiff neck!" She snorted at that. "Yeah right. As if your neck is what you had stiff last night." She grabbed her coffee and glared at him. "And I honestly think there's not enough coffee yet!" She splashed it against his shirt.

He jumped at that. "Hey OUCH! That was hot!" "Good!" She glared and stormed off again. << hehehehe

CD muttered to her self, "Gee that Toni that you’re talking to?"
Nate glared at CD for that comment. "As a matter of fact, yes." Then he turned to the phone again. "Say, what color are your panties today?"
Teddy raised his eyebrows, "Excuse me?"
Nate chuckled. "Red, huh?"

CD grabbed the phone from him. "You know what? First I thought you were nice when we met, but you're just a cheap slut! And know something else? You want him? Fine! You can have him!" Teddy wasn't quite sure what the hell was going on but it was quite clear that CD thought he was a she, and more than likely Toni. He just smiled, and said, "Nice talking to you too CD."

"Teddy!" She realized and glared at Nate. "So you're wearing red panties huh? Well, I'm sorry I interrupted your phonesex with my partner." She handed the phone back to Nate, still glaring. Whoa! I haven't posted here in ages!!!!!!! Why didn't anyone remind me??? :crying:

They got to Nate's place. Kate got out of her car. And Nate and CD got out of their car.

CD walked over to Kate. "Just so you're prepapred, in there...." She motioned at the house, "... is the last dragon alive. I don't wanna know how many princesses of the Middle Ages that thing swallowed down."

Nate overheard that and growled. "You are so mean!"

Kate Looked at CD, "Now I know the real reason you wanted me here. Is she like the spawn of Satan or something?”

"Worse." CD nodded. "She has hoves and a tail and everything."

"Dammit that's enough!" Nate glared at CD. "She still is my mom!"

"Yeah honny, I know. CD said, "Will you please take this in, and I will follow you in in a second.” She handed him one of the bags already and took the other one out of the trunk and then locked the car.

"Okay." He gave her a quick kiss and walked inside. "Hey mom? I'm back" He called out.

But Nate had a suprise waiting for him there. "Uhh...Toni Hi. What are..?" Before he got a chance to finish Toni, his ex-partner came up, and gave him a huge kiss.

At that moment CD and Kate walked in. Shocked to see that CD dropped the shopping bag. "What the hell?" She called out while Kate put her hand on her shoulder, ready to shoot Nate right there and then.

Nate pushed Toni off, "Ummm it's not what you think." He stated, and then looked at Toni, "What the hell is going on?"

"Well." CD said, "You had better give a good explanation," CD got closer to Toni, and glared at her, "Becasue if not I am going to have to take you outside and beat your ass to Germany!"

"I don't think why that'd be any of your damn buisness." Toni glared back at her.

"Try 'because I'm his damn fiancee." CD glared back again.

"What?!" Toni asked, "Fiancee?! But he loves me! Nate would you tell her to get her freakin head our of the sand?" Toni glared again at CD.

Nate reached for CD's hand. "Toni..." He sighed. "I love you like I'd love a sister... CD and I are getting married."

"What?" Toni said, "But your mom said that you love me!"

At that Debra came out of the kitchen, and said, "Oh I see you got my suprise!"

CD glared at his mother, "Yeah 'WE' did!"

Nate's mother looked disappointed, "Oh, " She said, "It's you."

"Yeah, his FIANCEE" CD glared at the mom.

"Ladies..." Nate sighed.

Kate said, "Maybe I should leave." She started walking for the door.

Both CD, and Nate grabbed both her arms, and said, "Ohhh no you’re not! You’re not leaving us in this mad house!"

Toni sighed and looked at Nate. "Can we talk a moment? Alone?" Then she looked at CD. "Don't worry, I'll keep my hands off him."

CD nodded, she knew now that it wasn't Nate's fault, and if he could have helped the kiss not to have happend he would have. "Yeah sure." She said

"Thanks." Toni said and she and Nate went into the bedroom.

Yay, you posted again! That was so great! And I didn't remind you because I'm just too lazy, sorry. ;) :D j/k. Post more soon!

"What do you wanna talk about?" He was still angry at her for the kiss and glad that CD had believed him.

She sighed. "God Nate, I'm so sorry... I had no idea! I swear! Your mom called me and told me that you confided to her that you're in love with me! She didn't even mention CD!"

Nate walked accross the room, and put his hand on his head, "I can't beleive my mom would do this! This is getting way our of control! When did she call you?" Nate asked

"Yesterday evening. She invited me for dinner tonight." Toni said and walked up to him, putting her hands on his shoulders. "Hey..."

He looked at her hands on his shoulder, and got a little concerend that she might try something. "Umm..What?" He asked

"Don't worry. It'll be okay." She smiled at him and massaged his shoulders. "Relax."

"What the hell is going on here? I don't want to relax." He pulled away from her. The only hands that he wanted on him were CD's. "The only person who has a right to touch me is CD!"

"Whoa!" She put her hands up right away. "At ease boy... I ain't trying anything. I just want you to relax again."

He sat down on his bed and said, "I am sorry. It's just...Well the last few days haven't been the best with my mother around. She has been causing a lot of problems, and if someone else tricks me here in the next few days I think I am going to lose it."

She smiled at him and sat down next to him. "Don't worry, she'll get used to CD."

He sighed, "You think?"

"She's gonna have to. You love her." She smiled. "Nate Basso engaged... who woulda thought you'd be tamed one day." She laughed.

He had to laugh at that, "No, I still get in trouble..I am lucky I didn't break CD today." He laughed again thinking of her in that cart.

She laughed too. "What'd ya do?"

"Ehhh, It's a long story. So, What did you want to talk about?" He asked.

"I wanted to tell ya I was sorry... I never ever would have kissed you if I had known." She sighed.

He sighed, "It's okay. I can forgive you. It wasn't your fault. CD on the other hand...." He laughed. He kinda liked the fact that CD was jealous of Toni, and wanted to beat the crap out of her. It just showed him how much CD loved him. "So you want to go back out to the lion's den?"

Toni laughed and nodded. "Think anybody's gonna get strangled tonight?"

He laughed, "I hope not." He said getting off the bed, "C'mon, Lets go."

Arghhhhhhhhhh I HATE Debra.I hope CD and Nate won't break up because of what happened.Btw,I still think Debra should die. lol

Meanwhile outside CD was pissed like never before at Debra. "You DAMN bitch!"

His mother walked up to CD and yelled “You don't deserve my son!" She hated being called a bitch and so she slapped CD "I have never met anyone with less manners!"

"YOU JUST TOLD ANOTHER WOMAN THAT NATE LOVES HER WHILE HE'S ENGAGED TO ME!!!!!!!!!" CD yelled back. "You're damn lucky that I don't tolerate violence against elderly people or I swear I'd beat you into a puddle of goo!"

Kate was starting to think she should sneak out. But then she thought better of it. "Look lady." Kate said, "I don't know who you are, but I can tell you this so much: touch CD again and I will take you ass downtown, And you know that it won't be the nice treatment eihter. I will make sure you are strip searched, and everything." Kate glared at the woman already not liking her for what she had done to CD.

At that moment Toni and Nate walked out again. Debra rushed over to Nate and sobbed. "Those are all mean people!" She pointed at Kate "That woman just threatened me!"

Kate shrugged, and put her hands up, "I wouldn't have had to, if you hadn't slapped CD."

At that moment Jinny and Teddy entered. Toni had answered the door. "Who slapped CD?" Teddy asked.

"She did." Kate pointed at Debra.

"Don't you EVER do that again!" Nate pushed her away and approached CD. "I'm so sorry baby."

Jinny was as pissed and glared at the woman. "I'll beat her ass! Let me at her!" She called out.

Both Teddy and Kate grabbed her arms, Teddy said, "You really want to get arrested for beating up an old lady?"

Debra was nearly crying, "Nate all your friends are mean!"

Kate glared at her, "Look, we can let go of her arms. Something tells me she would get free soon anyways. We’re all cops here. And she nodded at Teddy, and he's an ADA."

Debra hid behind Nate at that. But Nate stepped away and looked at CD's cheek. "Does it hurt a lot?"

CD shook her head. "Not at all. She hits like a baby." She chuckled. "I've been hit worse."

At that Teddy gasped surprised. "You have?"

CD chuckled and nodded.

"She's a boxer." Nate explained.

Teddy smiled, "Ohh, I will have to go watch you sweat...Errr...I mean box sometime."

CD gave him a look.

Nate laughed. "Just don't be shocked about all the blood."

"There is no blood." CD glared at him

Both Kate and Teddy realizing that Jinny had calmed down let go of her arms. Jinny said, "Hey that's cool! You are a boxer, and I know Karate! We could be partners, and go kick some ass!"

CD laughed. "Yeah. To fight all evil!" At that she shot a glare towards Debra

Kate, said, "Well if, what happend in my office today, is any indication of what happens when you two work together, then I might just have to switch up partners." Kate laughed.

"No way!!!!!" At that CD hugged Nate and pouted. "Mine!"

“You fight evil...” Debra, not happy at all with the way the converstation was going, because she wasn't getting her way said, "Well having sex before you are married is evil!" Which made everyone in the room laugh because they had all had sex without being married "Hey” Debra asked "What's so funny?!"

Nate chuckled and then looked at her. "As I recall I was born seven months after you and dad got married, huh?" He just smirked.

"Well, now we weren't talking about me now were we?" Debra asked

Kate said, “Apple doesn't quite fall far from the tree now does it?"

Debra growled. "You were early, that's all!"

"Yeah yeah." CD laughed.

"Mom, dad told me that I was conceived under the bleachers before you graduated high school!" Nate said

Debra growled while everybody else laughed. "I already know where you two will conceive one day." Jinny said.

"No way, not happening." CD gave her a small glare.

"On top of HER desk!" Jinny ignored the glare and pointed at Kate.

Kate laughed, "You mean my nice NEW DESK, that the two of them are paying for!"

"Yeah yeah." CD said and the doorbell rang again.

"Ohhh that must be Alex." Kate grinned. "I'll go get it."

CD smiled. "And I'll start with dinner."

"You gonna order pizza again and call that dinner?" Debra snarled.

"No I'm gonna feed you with rat poison." CD muttered under her breath but only Teddy who was standing next to her could hear it.

Kate opened the door to see Alex standing in the door with a bottle of Wine. She let him in, and then introduced him to everyone. Then she said, "I think I will go help CD in the kitchen."

"Alright" Alex smiled and then walked over to the other two guys. He hadn't met those people before but they seemed like a nice bunch.

Teddy and Nate both shook his hand, and said, “nice to meet ya!"

Alex siad "Thanks, same to you! So how do all of you know Kate?"

"I work at her Division." Nate answered.

Teddy nodded. "Yeah, and I'm an ADA there, plus Jin," he wrapped his arm around her, "works there too. Apart from me and Nate's mom they're all cops."

"Yeah, so you better all behave." Jinny chuckled.

"Heh..." He said, "Well at least I am meeting people in high places." He laughed

Debra smiled and said, "Well dear, I am sure you have a great job as well. A nice man such as yourself."

"I'm a firefighter ma'am." He smiled politely.

Jinny grinned. "That'd explain your well built body."

"Hey." Teddy pouted at that.

Debra smirked. "Strong and cute. That's two of the three things a man needs to be." Then she winked at him. "But I doubt you're lacking the third."

"Well why don't you come, and sit down on the couch." She lead him off, and he looked back at Jinny, Teddy, and Nate with a pleading ‘help’ look. "Tell me all about your job. It must me so nice be able to save people’s lives on a daily basis."

"Uhm well." He swallowed and kept a distance while he told her the boring parts of his job, trying to get her to leave him alone.

Meanwhile in the kitchen Kate had walked up to CD. "So whatcha makin'?"

"Nate wanted Chili." She answered.

"Need Some Help?" Kate asked, "or should I start on my wonderful cucumber salad?"

CD asked "Are you serious about that salad, I really thought you were joking!"

Kate laughed, "No I was joking. How come everytime I tell people that I am making a cucumber salad they think I am joking?"

CD grinned. "Well we didn't know Alex yet then." She winked at her.

Kate turned the shade of pink, and said, "I can't believe you thought I would use.. a cucumber...What did you do after your marriage, and before Nate?"

CD chuckled. "Kate we were kidding with you as well. Why use a cucumber when nowadays there are a lot of nice toys that you can use eh?" She winked at her with a smirk.

Kate laughed, "Or you can forget about the toys, and go to the men!" Kate started getting busy making her salad, and staying out of CD's way.

CD smirked. "As long as you stay safe then."

Kate smiled, "I am always safe. So tell me, who's better Paul or Nate?"

CD said, "You’re forgetting Brian, and that other gu.. Uhh nevermind ..It's not important."

"Who? " Kate asked

CD smirked. "Definitely Nate. Paul was such a bore, you wouldn't believe it. God I can't believe I even was married to him. But anyhow, Nate definitely is the best I ever had." She grinned. "Though Brian wasn't that bad either... but nothing compares to Nate, really." She smirked.

"That's good to know." Kate grinned back at her. "And what other guy, huh?"

"Uhhh," CD said, "I am not very pround of this, but it was after I found out about Paul's fifth affair. The name’s not important, or more to the fact that I don't remember it. It wasn't one of my best moments I was drunk. I wanted someone, I needed someone to hold me, and to love me, and at the time it was clear that Paul wasn’t the guy to do that. So I let this guy take me back to his place. I spent one night with him, and that all. I have never heard or seen from him again."

Kate nodded. "It happened only this once?"

CD blushed. "Well maybe a couple of times after that too. But not with him... it was just, easier, ya know? Because it had happened already anyways... and Paul was being... well Paul again... he never found out though."

"I can't say that I blame you CD." She slighty smiled at her. "But now you have Nate."

"Yeah I do." CD grinned her face off.

"Does he know?" Kate asked.

CD looked down and shock her head no, "No I haven't told him. Do you think that I should?"

Kate nodded her head, "Yeah I do, I think before someone else get a chance too."

CD asked, "But what if he doesn't understand?"

“He will understand.” Kate smiled, "Because he's Nate, and he loves you!"

CD sighed. "I guess you're right. I mean that was then and this is now, right?"

"Right." Kate nodded. "And he knows it won't ever hapen again." Then she looked at her. "I mean it won't, will it?"

"Absolutely not!" CD said. "I love Nate with all my heart. And since I know him I know I never really loved Paul. I couldn't be any happier than I am with Nate in my life."
