(The segment first aired during the show's 1988-89 season.) I recall the story of how he went to a party in October of 1981, disappeared, and was found dead in a vacant lot five days later. It is puzzling to me that an autopsy couldn't determine how he died. According to the local coroner (who was obviously puzzled), Sova had not been beaten or traumatized in any way. Nor was the amount of alcohol found in his system high enough to be fatal. To this day, nobody knows how Kurt Sova died. :( Thracian 10-09-2003, 01:58 PM Yes, that was a very puzzling story. Perhaps one day there will be an update, but you have to wonder since it happened so long ago. Big3sCompanyFan 10-10-2003, 09:10 AM Originally posted by Thracian Yes, that was a very puzzling story. Read my thread about the show being gone forever for tips on contacting Cosgrove to keep the show alive!! THANKS!! Mijada 10-12-2003, 11:14 AM The funny thing about this story is they don't believe he died the night of the party because a buddy of his saw him a few days later getting into someones car. The friend had been out of town and didn't know Kurt was missing. Why Kurt didn't go back home after the party or let his family know where he was staying is a mystery in itself. His mother said he was a good kid who never got into trouble so it would be unlike him to just disappear voluntarily. Brent88 11-03-2003, 02:02 PM The Kurt Sova case is being shown on Lifetime today(Monday Nov. 3rd at 1pm ET) it's the first time it aired... Composite Sketch 11-03-2003, 03:02 PM Looking at the episode guide, that case is on the same episode as the Matthew Chase case, and if that's true I'm very interested in trading for (or even buying) a tape of that. Brent88 11-03-2003, 03:45 PM Yeah, that was an interesting episode today, especially after the ghost stories all week last week. |
