View Full Version : Who is the all time greatest sitcom character? Brian Damage 10-03-2003, 10:49 AM Who do you think it is? LILFACE23 10-03-2003, 01:11 PM Jack Tripper Crimson and Clover 10-03-2003, 03:36 PM Originally posted by LILFACE23 Jack Tripper Ditto. Janice 10-03-2003, 03:55 PM After pondering over Ralph Kramden, Archie Bunker, George Jefferson, I also think that Jack Tripper is the most memorable and greatest sitcom character. DianeChambers87 10-03-2003, 04:21 PM Diane Chambers: There's never been a character like her before, and there hasn't since. Norm Peterson: Ditto. lol Janice 10-03-2003, 04:23 PM Originally posted by DianeChambers87 Diane Chambers: There's never been a character like her before, and there hasn't since. Adamantium 10-03-2003, 04:49 PM I'll go with Jack Tripper as well. He was one of a kind. As a runner-up, Bill McNeal of "NewsRadio". He wasn't the nicest character on television, but he sure was funny. supershaun 10-03-2003, 04:56 PM 5-Jack tripper 4-Eddie Haskell 3-Fred Sanford 2-Archie Bunker 1-Homer Simpson Sitcomwriter 10-03-2003, 05:03 PM Larry David david&maddie4ever 10-03-2003, 06:13 PM Originally posted by DianeChambers87 Diane Chambers: There's never been a character like her before, and there hasn't since. Oh, my God...I TOTALLY agree. Diane was such an original character. She could NEVER be replaced! :notworthy :biglove: Jack Tripper is pretty close, though. He was the ONLY comedian who did physical comedy that could EVER get a chuckle out of me. :( Mr. Ritter was a true talent, and he will be missed by all who love to laugh. :( david&maddie4ever MaydayMalonesGirl 10-03-2003, 06:18 PM Originally posted by Janice Yep, and Sam Malone was one of a kind too. I really don't know any one in person who acts like Lucy, or Diane, or any other sitcom gals, but I think Roseanne comes closest to a real life character. I think her sense of humor is great, and I do know some real people that act like her. *PinkLady* 10-04-2003, 11:05 PM Jack Tripper and Louie DePalma barwars 10-05-2003, 11:22 AM the best (who isnt necessarily my favorite) has to be.... Of course Theres no one character you can actually define television with, that is what makes sitcoms so unique. Every classic is different in its own way. But if I had to pick one, no doubt to me is Lucy Ricardo. CarJackSnyder 12-22-2003, 08:38 PM Diane Chambers: There's never been a character like her before, and there hasn't since.
