Raven-Symone 09-27-2003, 12:41 AM I say flip, I thought it was good, and I am going to keep watching it. Sean Snow 09-27-2003, 12:42 PM I liked it. I'll definitely be watching next week's episode. HDfanLiz 09-27-2003, 01:02 PM I liked it, I'll watch next week! GoldenFamilyTies 09-27-2003, 03:52 PM Flip... it's a good show! David 09-27-2003, 04:13 PM flip! Pavan 09-27-2003, 05:46 PM It was great, especially the food fight scene! I'm not sure which is better yet--I'm With Her or Hope & Faith! Both have impressed me. Last night's TGIF block was off to a good start, #1 among viewers 18-49 and second overall; mainly because of George Lopez and Hope & Faith. CBS's dramas were #1, but are aimed for older viewers. As for NBC, what a bad move by moving Law & Order: SVU to Tuesdays, Alicia Silverstone's show didn't do anything. FOX was a dud, Luis might be the first new sitcom canceled I think now. dandelion wine 09-27-2003, 05:51 PM Flip KJH278 09-27-2003, 06:14 PM Did'nt see it, it come at bad time for,it's on the same Time as JAG Sal 09-27-2003, 06:27 PM I watched "Hope and Faith" last night and I liked it so much that I am willing to go out on a limb and say that this is definitely THE best new sitcom of the season. Of course, I said the same thing about "8 Simple Rules" last year---and I was right!!! To me, this show seems to be a combination of "8 Simple Rules" and "Laverne and Shirley", which can only be good! The one objection I have is that I wish that Kelly Ripa's character would be a little less on the dense side in future episodes. Some of her lines made Kelly Bundy seem like a genius by comparison. And, like many others, I enjoyed the food fight scene. It brought a much-needed touch of slapstick and physical humour which is sadly missing from most of today's sitcoms, who tend to over-emphasize verbal humor in going for more cheap laughs. Happily, I have read in "Entertainment Weekly" that "Hope and Faith" will continue to provide more physical stunts, depending on the situation that the two female leads find themselves in. In short, this looks like a winner to me without any doubt at all. Ted McGinley can finally relax---and break out the "Shark" repellent to celebrate his good fortune! Sitcomwriter 09-27-2003, 08:01 PM It's pretty good. It's very reminicint of the old TGIF.It's not really my thing but it was pretty good.Flip. TVJunkie101 09-28-2003, 08:47 AM Flip. I thought it was good. Pretty funny. This show has tons of stuff to play off of. I agree with Sal on Kelly Ripa's character, though the character is quite hilarious being a little dumbed down and self-absorbed. They kind of overdid it with Faith Ford's Hope being a prude and what-not, but hopefully that fades a little bit. I'm pretty sure though, the pilot was mainly to let us see just how different the two sisters are, which is why their characteristics seem to take over. Anyone with me on that? lol. I can't wait to watch next week. The description looks good. HIGH ENOUGH 09-28-2003, 02:39 PM Originally posted by TVJunkie101 Flip. I thought it was good. Pretty funny. The sisters attend the funeral of a long-forgotten aunt to pay their respects--and to swipe back the ring she took from their mom years earlier. Céline 09-30-2003, 10:25 PM Flip!It will be the new best show of the season!!! MelissaM 10-04-2003, 03:22 AM After seeing the first 2 episodes...I LOVE IT. hazelfanatic 10-04-2003, 11:59 AM I laughed out loud during the funeral scene. I think it's great! PK... 10-04-2003, 03:40 PM Hello! Though I've been a fan of Kelly Ripa's work since she first turned Pine Valley on it's ear, and then doing the same for Live!, I had trepidations about Hope and Faith... (Faith Ford "ain't" no slouch, either) I was prepared for the worst, and suffered through a whole houre of George Lopez (There is a reason sitcoms are 30 minutes! :D ) expecting - hoping - to be mildly entertained... If you asked me, I would have sworn on a stack of bibles that I did NOT like slapstick nor food fights... Well, hmmm... Guess what! I laughed till I cried... Last night was even better! If this show is not a hit, there is no justice... It has garnered the highest TGIF ratings both weeks now, though it did drop a point this week.. I'm glad to see the poll indicates the same.. ;0)) PK Sitcomwriter 10-05-2003, 12:52 AM Originally posted by hazelfanatic I laughed out loud during the funeral scene. Which is something you don't hear every day ;). [-Kelsey-] 10-05-2003, 01:14 AM FLIP!!! This show was so funny! Hope: Thats the last time I'm licking dead people  Mr. Television 10-05-2003, 01:53 AM I didn't see the first show but I saw the 2nd and it is very funny. Eddie Haskell 10-08-2003, 02:50 AM Guess I'm in the minority here but I watched the first episode and won't return for another. I think it is the worst new show on television. Joeylova87 01-20-2004, 10:45 AM Definately Flip! Who could not like this show? It's one of the best things to watch, and it's really hilarious! wayman 01-23-2004, 11:05 PM I find this show is very entertaining. Hope and Faith seem reminiscent of Laverne and Shirley. newlife 02-17-2004, 01:40 PM Ok I have to be the negative one here...it is going to flip. though I see it as a huge flop. I think it is totally flat -the set, the acting, the plots..I just can't fee las if there is any sort of depth here. It is not even TGIF level. I love Kelli Ripa in the morning's but she doesn't make it here with me. I have to admit I sort of thought the first episode was ok because I though they were working the bugs out all shows kind of suck the first episode but they have gotten progressively worse in weeks to come. .
