Screw the extra line. Get the DSL. I can finally be online w/o being bitched at. It's much better than an extra phone line. And I don't think it costs that much more than dial up. I'm not sure you have your service with, but the Alltel's has a nice price.

I'm not really sure. I've only got 1 computer, so I'd better just say Idk for that question. Wished I could help though. :(

Let me show, and I'm not bragging. I don't do the bragging deal. But I have been on SO and in Kazaa. Now usually if I'm on Kazaa, I can't stay in here. It's either one or the other. But look at the speed I'm getting and it's not bothering me here.

 Yeah!!!! The only thing I'm looking forward to are Season 1 & 2 of Three's Company, both being released within months of each other. :) I also want the SBTB Season 1/2 DVD that's out right now... that's all I can think of.

:barf: They should give the older and classics more attention. Not just I Love Lucy or any of that stuff. :cuss:

Hey Jenny, what does a DSL modem look like? Where does it attach to the computer.

Mine is a little box, it's got 3 lights on it (Power, dsl, usb). Btw, I didn't need an that ethernet card. However the hell you spell it. I'm really helping, right? I think it goes right next to the plug in for the mouse. I swear everytime we got in that area, the mouse wire would come unplugged.

Yeah...ethernet. I had an ethernet card when I was at college.

Okay. My dad was all worried that...let's see if I can explain this...that if I plugged into the net in the living room, the phone in the living room wouldn't work. All other phones would, but not that one. I'm like, Dad, I don't know! He was pissing me off.

They sent in my kit a blocker. You connect it to the phone jack and it blocks the dsl from tying up the phone line.

That's great it went down so much.

Btw, Cathy were you the one that recommended Prevacid? My stomach was hurting today and dad told me to take one of his Prevacids, I'll be damn if my stomach didn't feel better right away.

Yeah. It's expensive (although maybe it went generic too), but it's a really good drug. It usually takes a couple weeks to work, but what it does is shut off the acid pumps in your stomach. So no more acid indigestion.

I'm comparing Prilosec to Prevacid.

Prilosec:
• Omeprazole decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach.
• Omeprazole is used to treat ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD or heartburn), and other conditions involving excessive stomach acid production.

dawsongirl
09-26-2003, 10:23 PM
Prevacid:
• Lansoprazole decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach.
• Lansoprazole is used to treat and prevent stomach and intestinal ulcers, erosive esophagitis (damage to the esophagus from stomach acid), and other conditions involving excessive stomach acid such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

dawsongirl
09-26-2003, 10:24 PM
So they're quite similar.

I'll look it up...but if IRC...it's where the stomach produces too much acid.

This one is worth looking into as well...Axid. It's OTC...and if you take two of them...it equals one prescription...150mg is the prescription strength.

• Nizatidine is in a class of drugs called histamine receptor antagonists. Nizatidine works by decreasing the amount of acid the stomach produces.
• Nizatidine is used to treat and prevent ulcers in the stomach and intestines. Nizatidine is also used to treat conditions in which the stomach produces too much acid and conditions in which acid comes up into the esophagus and causes heartburn, such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
