I wrote this a couple of nights ago and I'm posting it here to see how other people like it. It is my 2nd attempt at a fanfic. I'm posting it scene by scene, to see how you like it. Feel free to post your comments or make suggestions.
--Scene one--
One day, Iola Boyland was wondering if she would ever find that "Mr. Right" that everyone was talking about. Suddenly, while she was wondering about it, her telephone rang. She picked it up and it was her best friend, Thelma Harper. "Iola, what are you doing today?" "Nothing, Thelma. Just babysitting mother, like usual, why?" "I think I have found the match for you in a man! He seems just perfect for you." "Does he enjoy making arts and crafts like me?" "Well, no, Iola, you can't expect every man that falls into your trap to like arts and crafts!" "But you said he was perfect for me!" "Good Lord, Iola, just trust me on this one, will you?!" "Thelma, remember the last time I thought I had Mr. Right? He turned out to be Mr. Wrong. Then, Lars came to me while we were in Hawaii, and then we had to leave for home. Thelma, I've given up on finding the right man." "Oh, Iola. I know it's hard for you. But, come over to my house at 5:00 for dinner and you'll see what I mean about this one." Thelma hangs up. Iola thought about going over to Thelma's all day. Around 3-ish, she decided she would be brave and go on over, she had nothing else to do, and she could always call and check on her mother.
--End Scene 1--
I'll post scene 2 when I get some feedback on scene 1. I'm also gonna put this on my MF site.
