Has anyone else noticed that the same transition music from Leave it to Beaver was used on episodes of Mister Ed (at least in 1st season episodes).

All of a sudden, I heard this very familiar tune, which came from Leave It To Beaver! So you are right, it sounds like they did use the same music at times. :) 1954Boomer 09-10-2003, 11:00 AM This topic was discussed on the TVLAND board, and as I recall, both shows were produced by the same production company. In fact, the same music was also used in episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents. Someone mentioned that there were also a few other shows with the same music, but I forget which now. Brenton 10-07-2003, 05:56 PM Just to clarify, "Mr. Ed" and "Leave it to Beaver" WERE not produced by the same production. LITB was produced by Revue Studios (the television divison of Universal Studios) and "Mr. Ed" was produced by McCadden Productions, a company owned and operated by comedian George Burns. Honestly, I notice no similarity in the music, and if it is, it is strictly coincidental. evermore 10-07-2003, 11:09 PM The LITB fade out music is the same as Mr. Ed. No question about it. I perked up when I heard it the first time and then made the connection. |
