Hello folks. I know what you are going to say, "Another Story". This one is good though. I did this Fan Fic with Kiera (ReturningFolFanKiera). Give us both credit. Tell us what you think.

Jinny and Magda are in the bathroom. Magda's is waiting for the Home Pregnancy Test results.

(J) Magda-How much longer?
Jinny-It will be done in a minute will you sit down?
Magda-I can't. I'm nervous.
Jinny-There is nothing to worry about. It's done.
Magda-Will you look at it for me? I can't.
Jinny-Alright. Oh gosh.
Magda-What?
Jinny-You're pregnant Mag.
Magda-I knew it. What am I going to do??
Jinny-Mag, how can this be?
Magda-I think you know Jinny!!
Jinny-I didn't mean it THAT way. You going to tell Jonah?
(K) Magda- Well...
Jinny- Mag, you can't exactly hide it from him...
Magda- I know, but I think it could wait at least until I see him tomorrow.
Jinny- You're seeing him tomorrow?
Magda- Yes. We need to talk.
Jinny- I'll say.
Magda- No, not about that, Jin. About... us.
Jinny- Mag, Gabe's the one you married, but I can't tell you how to live your life or what to do with it.
Magda- Yeah, I know.
Jinny- I just hope you make the right decision.

She folds up the little paper that comes with the HPT kit.

(J) Magda-Me too. Let's get back to work.

Jinny and Magda leave the bathroom back out to the Division.

CD-Magda, are you OK?
Magda-Yes, why?
CD-You just look a little, I don't know, flushed.
Magda-*sighs* I'll be right back.
Raina-Jinny??
Jinny-What?
Raina-Don't give me that. What's going on?
Jinny-Nothing.
Raina-You two were in the bathroom for 15 minutes and you both came out with strange looks on your face.
Jinny-Raina, haven't you ever heard the phrase 'mind you own business'?
Raina-Nope. Now spill.
Jinny-Well, no I can't tell you. You will find out sooner or later. *leaves*
Raina-Something's up. Something big.
CD-Absolutely.
Raina-So where's Nate?
CD-He went home right after Captain go out of surgery.
Raina-You two were there for a long time. What did you too do.
CD-Nothing. *blushes*
(K) Raina- Uh uh, c'mon, spill it, girl! I want details.
CD- Maybe Jinny's right...
Raina- Right about what?
CD- You miding your own business. You're a gossip.

She goes back to her desk, leaving Raina to think on that. Meanwhile, Jinny walks back into the bathroom.

Jinny- Mag, you in here?
(J) Magda-*sniffles* Yes. *comes out*
Jinny-Mag, what's wrong?
Magda-There's something I didn't tell you.
Jinny-What?
Magda-Jonah told me that he didn't want the baby. He would pay for it and that's all. *breaks down crying*
Jinny-Mag, it's going to be okay.
Magda-No it won't. Once that baby is born, Gabe will know that it isn't his and he'll leave me. Nothing will be alright again.
Jinny-Whatever you decide Mag, I'm here for you. I'm always here for you.
(K) They hug for a long time and CD walks in. She gives Jinny a questioning look and Jinny tells her with her eyes 'not now'. CD nods and walks back out. When Magda calms down a little, her and Jinny sit on the bench in the bathroom and just talk for a while. Not about anything specific, though. After she feels she's calm enough to walk back out and face everyone, Magda gets up and walks out. Jinny follows after her, silently wondering how Jonah could tell her that. She walks out, still thinking.
(J) By the look on Jinny's face, no one asked any questions. It was finally the end of the day. Jinny caught Magda before she left.

Jinny-Mag, you want to come wih me? I'm going to get some dinner. My treat.
Magda-Thanks. I'd love to.

Meanwhile, after that long kiss Nate and CD shared, CD just sat by the phone, hoping it would ring. She was hoping that Nate felt the same way she did. But the only problem was that she wasn't exactly sure how she felt. They were partners. This would totally jeopardize their careers. What was she going to do? Then finally, the phone rang.

CD-*anxiously* Hello?? No, I'm not interested in electronic pantyhose. *hung up*

She knew Nate wasn't going to call so she just went to bed.

Nate- Just having a drink. Thinking about my life.
Magda- What's wrong with him?

Waitress- Hello I'm Erin and I will be your waitress. Can I get you something to drink?
Jinny- I'll have a Coke.
Magda- Some Iced Tea would be nice.
Waitress- Okay. I will be back.
Jinny- So? Are you okay?
Magda- I'm better but okay? No.
Jinny- It will all work out. You wait and see.
Waitress- Here are your drinks. Are you ready to order?
Jinny- I'll have a cheeseburger and some fries.
Waitress- OK. And for you?
Magda- I'll have the same.
Jinny- So, when should the baby be due?
Magda- To tell you the truth, I don't know. I'm going to call the doctor's tomorrow.
Jinny- Good luck. Let me know what happens.
Magda- I will.

The next morning, CD woke up and there were no meaasges on her machine. She was disappointed but she knew that she would see him at work.

Raina- Hi CD. How was your night?
CD- Fine. How was yours?
Raina- Alright.
CD- Where's Nate?
Jinny- Oh, he called off today. And Mag had an appointment.
CD- Oh.
Raina- I hear we are getting an acting Captain. Someone named Spikey.
Spivey- Spivey. S-p-i-
Jinny- We get the point!
Spivey- I see we have a bunch of moody Inspectors. Well, that won't last long. *went into Kate's office*
CD- Looks like we're gonna have a little trouble with this one.
Raina- Well, he won't be here long.
Delivery Man- CD Delorenzo?
CD- That's me. How can I help you?
Delivery Man- Sign here. We willbe in with your delivery.
CD- What delivery?
Delivery- We have 12 dozen flowers in the truck for you.
CD- From whom?
Delivery Man- I don't know. There's a card. *leaves to get the flowers*
Raina- Ooo. You got a secret admirer you didn't tell us about?
CD- I seriously don't know who they are from.
Jinny- Do you have any idea??
CD- Not a clue.
Delivery Man- He you go.
Jinny- Oh gosh CD. That's a lot of flowers.
Raina- Well, c'mon. Open the card up.

CD read the card. It says:
I won't state my name. Give you a hint. I wasn't at work today. Just know that I am thinking of you. Meet me the Anchorside at 12:30. I love you.

Raina- Well???
CD- Uh, it's from my--mother. My mother.
Jinny- What's the occasion for so many flowers?
CD- No occasion. She just sent them.
Raina- Well, that was nice of her.

Magda has been waiting for the doctor to come in for about 20 minutes. She is relly starting to become impatient. Finally, he comes in.

Dr. Walsh- Hi Magda. It's been a while. What brings you here.
Magda- Well, I took a home pregnancy test and it was positive. I just want to make sure that I am and that the baby's okay.
Dr. Walsh- Well, let's take a look. Gina, get me an ultrasound. Here we go. It looks like you are indeed pregnant Magda. You are about 4 weeks.
Magda- Is it alright?
Dr. Walsh- It looks just fine.

It is 12:30 and CD is at the Anchorside. But she doesn't see a sign of him.

Nate- *walks up behind her and kisses her neck* Hey gorgeous.
CD- Hi. Thanks for the flowers but boy did I have some explaining to do.
Nate- What did you say?
CD- I said they were from my mother.
Nate- Your mother??
CD- I was put on the spotlight Nate.
Nate- I know. I was going to call you last night but I wasn't sure if you wanted to talk to me.
CD- I felt the same way. That's why I didn't call you.
Nate- Well, we're together now. *start kissing**Her phone rings*
CD- *sighs* DeLorenzo. Yeah I will be right there.
Nate- Who was that?
CD- Our new acting Captain Spivey. He needs me to go over a few things. How about my apartment tonight at 8:30?
Nate- I'll be there. *kisses her one more time*

Magda is just walking into the Division now. All on the way home she was thinking about what she was going to do.

Jinny- Hey. How did it go?
Magda- *rolls over to Jinny's desk* I'm 4 weeks.
Jinny- So then it's definately...
Magda- Jonah's.
Jinny- What are you going to do?
Magda- I think I will talk to Gabe tonight. Hopefully he will understand.
Jinny- I'm sure he will. If you need anything, just call me.
Magda- I will.

Kate is in the hospital room getting ready to go home.

Kate- I am so happy I get to leave today.
Louis- Me too. You can go home, get some rest, stay off your feet.
Kate- I don't--- *Doctor walks in*
Doctor- You glad you're leaving.
Kate- No offense but yes!
Doctor- Understand completely.
Kate- Doctor, when will I be able to go back to work?

Magda is in the kitchen doing dishes while Ben and Gabe were watching TV.

Magda- Ben, time for bed.
Ben- *sighs* Alright. Goodnight Poppi.
Gabe- Night son.
Magda- Goodnight Ben.
Ben- Godnoght Mommy. *leaves*
Magda- Gabe, we need to talk.
Gabe- Alright.
Magda- Let's go into the kitchen.
Gabe- Why are you so nervous. Just tell me.
Magda- Well, to start off with. I'm pregnant.
Gabe- What? *excited* That's fantastic. How far along?
Magda- 4 weeks.
Gabe- 4 weeks that----I wasn't here 4 weeks ago.
Magda- I know. Gabe I--I...
Gabe- You had an affair??
Magda- Shh. Benjamin will hear you.
Gabe- I don't care. I'm very angry.
Magda- I know. You have every right to be.
Gabe- I can't handle this. *starts to go towards the bedrrom but stops* I didn't know you were a big SLUT! *goes into his room and slams the door*
Magda- Fine. Just fine. *Goes into Ben's room *
Ben- Mommy. What's going on?
Magda- Nothing sweetheart.
Ben- Why did daddy call you a slut?
Magda- He's just--*hears banging and screaming from the bedroom Gabe was in* Come on Ben.
Ben- Where are we going?
Magda- We're going to Aunt Jinny's for a little while ok?
Ben- Ok.

CD was getting her apartment all ready for Nate. She had taken all of the rose petals from the flowers that Nate gave her and spread them all over her bed.This was very unlike her but this was the happiest she has been in a very long time. Then she heard a knock at the door.

CD- Hey you.
Nate- Hi. I brought you a present.
CD- Champagne. You shouldn't have.
Nate- Anything for you. Let's crack this open. I also brought some glasses.
CD- Do you normally carry champagne glasses in your jacket.
Nate- Of course. You never no when you may need them. Here you go.
CD- Thank you.

It was 10:30 at night and Magda and Ben got right in the car and drove to Jinny's house. Ben fell asleep in the car so she had to carry him into Jinny's.

Magda- *knocks on the door*
Jinny- Magda? What are you doing here?
Magda- Can we spend the night here?
Jinny- Sure. Come in.
Magda- Thanks. Where should I put him?
Jinny- You two can sleep in my room. I'll bunk out on the couch.
Magda- Are you sure?
Jinny- Yes. Here. I'll take him. You get comfortable on the couch because we are doing some serious talking.
Magda- Okay. Thanks again.
Jinny- It's no problem.

So Jinny put him to bed and came out to the living room and saw Magda sitting on the couch crying.

Magda- Oh Jinny I am so sorry to bust in on you like this.
Jinny- It's ok Mag. Tell me what happend.
Magda- I told Gabe about the baby and he went all crazy. He called me a slut in front of Ben. When I heard slamming coming from Gabe's room, I left.
Jinny- Well, I'm glad you did.
Magda- I have never seen him like that before Jinny. I just...I was scared so I left.
Jinny- Well, you are staying with me and that's all there is to it.
Magda- Thank you. We won't be here that long. I promise.
Jinny- You are staying here as long as you need to. That is what best friends are for.

CD and Nate were still at her apartment. They were really really drunk.

CD- I feel wierd.
Nate- Yeah. Me too. Isn't it great?
CD- Absolutely. We need to clean this place up a little bit.
Nate- Why? We'll clean up later.
CD- Ok. What do you want to do now?
Nate- Well, there is one thing I want to do.
CD- And that would be?
Nate- This *leans in a kisses her*
CD- What are you doing?
Nate- I know this is what you want to.
CD- You realize what we are putting on the line here by doing this right?
Nate- Yes and I think it is worth the risk.
CD- Alright. *they start kissing passionately*

It was now the next morning and CD had just woken up. It was 9:30. She was confused about what had happend the night before but was never so happy then when she woke up in Nate's arms.

CD-Nate. Nate, wake up.
Nate- What time is it?
CD- It's 9:30. We're late for work.
Nate- I don't care. *kisses her* Did you sleep well?
CD- Are you kidding? You should become a sleep therapist. I have never slept so good in my life. Maybe it was the company.
Nate- I'll take that as a compliment. *they kiss again*
CD- Come on Nate. We've got to go to work.
Nate- We're late now and in a few minutes we'll still be late.
CD- Nate I'm serious. We have to get ready.
Nate- OK. I'm going to go back home and change.
CD- What are you going to wear there?
Nate- What I wore last night.
CD- You can't. Don't you remember? We used it to play Tug 'or War last night.

Meanwhile at Jinny's house earlier that morning.

Jinny- Hi Mag. Did you sleep well?
Magda- Not really. I had a lot of trouble sleeping.
Jinny- Everything is going to be fine. Why don't you take the day off. Run over to the house and grab some clothes for you and Ben.
Magda-I was going to run over later but I can't miss work. I already took yesterday morning off.
Jinny- Are you sure because I can handle it.
Magda- No that's ok. The last thing I want to do is get that Spivey guy upset.
Jinny- He can go st---
Magda- Jinny! There is a child in the house.
Jinny- Oops. Sorry.
Magda- Speaking of which, I had better wake him up for school.
Jinny- Does he know what happend last night?
Magda- He heard Gabe call me a, you know, and then he knew we were going to your house but that's it.
Jinny- You probably don't want to give him too much information.

Now CD is just arriving at the Division. She was afraid Spivey was going to make a big deal about her being so late but she didn't really care. She had a great night.

CD-I'm not sure. My alarm clock didn't go off.
Spivey- Well, make sure that this NEVER happens again. Got it?
CD-Yes. *whispers a**hole under her breath*
Spivey- Excuse me? What was that?
CD- What? Nothing.
Spivey- That's what I thought.
Raina- CD, you have got Cheerio's in your hair.
CD- So that's where it went.
Jinny- *rolls over to CD's desk* What going on?
CD- Nothing. Why?
Jinny- C'mon CD. I'm not stupid. You were sleeping with your partner and the reason he is going to be late is because he had to go back to his house and change for work. How am I doing?
CD- Very well. I feel so dumb.
Jinny- Why? Nate is a handsome man. He is good to you. What is the problem?
CD- We're partners.
Jinny- So, you will simply get different partners.
CD- But I don't want a different partner.
Jinny- Well, you can't eat your cake and have it to.

Gabe had walked into the Division screaming at Magda.

Gabe- Where the hell is my son??!
Magda- Shh. Stop screaming. Come on in here. *they go into interrogation room 3*
Gabe- I asked you where my son is.
Magda- He is at school. Where else would he be?
Gabe- He is coming home with me.
Magda-I don't think so.
Gabe- I am his father. I have as much right to him as you do.
Magda-I wasn't the one screaming and throwing things last night now was I?
Gabe- Well, I wasn't the one having an affair.

When she went into the bathroom, Magda was sitting on the bench, crying histerically.

Magda- He just told me to go home and pack my things. He is really scaring me. I never imagined this happening to me.
Jinny- You and Ben can stay with me as long as you need to.
Magda- Thanks. I am going to go pick Ben up right now.
Jinny- Good idea. What about Spivey?
Magda- Let him fire me. I don't care. My main priority is getting my son.

Magda left to go get Ben and then Nate walked in.

Spivey- Mr. Basso, do you have any idea how late you are for work?
Nate- Yes, as a matter of fact I do. 2 1/2 hours late.
Spivey- And your reasoning.
Nate- Well, let's just say I was, detained. *laughs*
Spivey- A sense of humor. You had better watch it inspector. I am keeping an eye on you. *leaves*
Nate- Oh, I am shaking in my boots.
CD- What took you so long?
Nate- Traffic. It was terrible.
CD- Well, we got a lot of work to do.
Nate- Well, let's get started.

Magda went to Ben's school to pick him up.

Magda- Hello. I am Mrs. Ramirez. I am here to pick up my son.
Ms. Jackson- I am sorry but your husband just left with your son.
Magda- What?! Why did you let him go?
Ms. Jackson- He said you knew all about it. What else was I supposed to do?
Magda- OH GOD! *rushes out to the car and races off*

Meanwhile, Spivey has just come out of his office and realizes that Magda isn't there.

Spivey- Where is Inspector Ramirez?
Jinny- She had to go pick up her son from school.
Spivey- She has been gone for two hours.
Jinny- Well, what can I tell ya? There might be a lot of traffic.
Spivey- When she comes into the office, tell her to come straight into my office. ASAP!
Jinny- *mouthes* Bite me.
Spivey- What?
Jinny- Might take her a little while.
Spivey- She had better hurry up.

It was now almost time for the inspectors to go home for the day.

CD- Nate?
Nate- Yeah?
CD- Would you like to come over to my house for dinner.
Nate- I don't know...
CD- Why not?
Nate- Well, it all depends. What are you going to wear?
CD- "Nothing" special. *winks*
Nate- I'll be there.

Raina- Jinny, where is Magda? She hasn't been back to work today.
Jinny- I am not quite sure where she is. I am sure she is fine.
Raina- I hope so. She seemed very upset before.

Jinny was indeed worried. It is not like Magda to just leave and not come back without telling someone. She pulled up to her apartment and her lights were on. She was hoping that Magda was inside.

Jinny- Mag, you here?
Magda- Yeah. I'm here.
Jinny- Where the hell were you? I waited for you.
Magda- I was looking for Ben.
Jinny- What do you mean looking for Ben? You were supposed to be picking him up from school.
Magda- When I got there, they said Gabe came and picked him up. Now they are both gone. I looked everywhere. That son of a bitch took my son.

I have to babysit tonight so I will be able to post some more while I am babysitting. If I get lots and lots of posts, I will post more.

Jinny- Calm down. Let's go down to the police station. *phone rings* I'll get it. *picks up phone* Hello?
Guy- Let me talk to Ramirez.
Jinny- *whispers* Mag, it's for you. It is some guy with a really creepy voice.
Magda- Hello?
Guy- Magda Ramirez?
Magda- Yes, who is this?
Guy- That isn't important right now. You have got 1 hour to get down here with $5,000.00 or your child dies. Do you understand?
Magda- Gabe? Is it you?
Guy- Well, someone went to college.
Magda- Gabe, you are out of control. Just give Ben back please.
Guy- And why should I?
Magda- Because he needs his mother. We can work all of this out.
Guy- No we can't. You had to go off with another man. Now you have ruined our family. Give me the money and I will give Ben back.
Magda- So you just want Ben so I will give you money for him?
Guy- You got it.
Magda- And where the hell do you expect me to get the money? We just got out of debt remember? I don't have $5,000.00.
Guy- Well, I would find out where to get it.

Nate had just have arrived at CD's apartment.

CD- Hi Nate. Come on in.
Nate- Thanks. So, what has my partner cooked for dinner?
CD- Very very juicy chicken breasts.
Nate- I hope they're hot.
CD- You bet you life they are hot.

After dinner, Nate helped CD clean up the dinner mess. Then they sat down at the table for dessert. They didn't know exactly what to do next. I mean, yeah they had been together before but Nate wasn't sure when to make the move. When they were done with dessert, they went to the couch and just started talking.

CD- No kidding. You lost your virginity when you were 14?
Nate- Yep. With Karen Garcia. She was the hottest girl in our school. Every guy wanted her. I was the lucky one though.
CD- So what ever happend after your 'experience' with her?
Nate- Oh, she told everyone in school that I was REALLY terrible in bed.
CD- No way!
Nate- Way. I hid my face for a week. By the time I was done being completely humiliated by her, everyone had forgotten about it thatnk goodness.
CD- I find it hard to believe that you were terrible in bed.
Nate- Well, it was after all my first time.

He kised over and over again. And then he took off her shirt and her bra and just started touching her breasts. She then took off Nate's shirt and started to unbuckle his pants and take them off. She, while kissing him, led him into her bedroom. He slammed her on the bed. Next thing you knew, neither of them had any clothes on. Then CD stopped kissing him.

CD- Nate, do you have any protection?
Nate- No but don't worry. Nothing will happen. You said you got your tubes tied.
CD- *Remembering that she only said that so he wouldn't ask her any questions about why she doesn't want to have any children, she had to think of what to tell him now.* Well, I guess since this is our first time doing it, it will be alright. * They made passionate love all night long.

Magda- Where do I come with the money?
Guy- Come to our house so Ben doesn't get suspicious.
Magda- Fine.
Guy- Oh and Magda, don't bring any police friends with you. Including that Jinny bitch of yours.
Magda- *Now getting pissed off* I won't. What time?
Guy- 8:45. Get moving. *hung up*
Jinny- Who was that?
Magda- That was Gabe. He has Ben. He wants me to give him $5,000.00 and then he will give Ben back.
Jinny- He can't do that.
Magda- Apparently he can. He is the one with Ben now. Where the hell am I going to get the money?
Jinny- I really wish I had it to give to you.
Magda- I know. Thanks.
Jinny- How about your Mom?
Magda- I can't ask her for it. She doesn't that much.
Jinny- How long do you have to get it?
Magda- He wants me to be there at 8:45.
Jinny- That soon?
Magda- Yeah.
Jinny- I'm coming with you.
Magda- No you can't. He told me specifically not to bring you.
Jinny- You think I am going to trust him with you alone after what he is doing to you?
Magda- Well, I guess you can sit in a car on the other side of the street.
Jinny- And when trouble is happening, just give me a sign.
Magda- You mean like, scream?

It is 8:45 and Magda is in her house waiting for Gabe. Jinny, as promised, is in a dark car right across the street. Then Jinny saw Gabe coming into the house.

Magda- Where's Ben?
Gabe- Is anybody with you?
Magda- Of course not. I told you I wasn;t going to tel anyone about this. Now where is Ben??
Gabe- I didn't bring him.
Magda- If I give you the money I get Ben. That is the deal.
Gabe- Well, the deal has changed a bit.
Magda- What do you mean?
Gabe- Where is the money?
Magda- It's in my purse. I want to see Ben before you get any money.
Gabe- Well, see, that's not gonna happen. *comes closer to her until they are face to face.* I loved you Magda. Believe me, I did. But you betrayed me. You made me look like a fool. Now you are going to pay. *Punches her in the stomach*

She fell to the floor. She was in terrible pain. Then he pulled out a gun and aimed it at her. Then all of a sudden, a gunshot went off.

When Magda looked over, Gabe was on the floor and there stood Jinny with her gun out. She had shot Gabe.

Magda- Oh Jinny. Thank God you are here.
Jinny- Hang on. I'll call for help.
Magda- No. I'm fine.
Jinny- No you're not. I'm taking you to the hospital just to make sure.
Magda- I still don't know where Ben is. I have to go find him.
Jinny- I will go look for Ben right after I take you to the hospital.
Magda- Jin--
Jinny- MAGDA! No contradicting me. Let's go. I'll help you down.

Meanwhile, it is now 12:15AM and CD and Nate had fallen asleep during their well..you know. Nate had just woken up and remembered where he was. He looked at CD laying there so peacefully. She had a glow on her. Nate never ever felt so happy. Then CD opened her eyes and saw Nate staring at her.

Nate- Hello beautiful.
CD- Hey you. What time is it?
Nate- It's twenty after 12. I had better get home.
CD- Why?
Nate- Because we both have work in the morning.
CD- Who cares. *kisses him*
Nate- I never thought I would see the day when Candace DeLorenzo couldn't keep her hands off of me.
Nate- You called me Candace. You know what that means. You get the worst punishment ever. *she kissed him for a long, long time. Then he broke it*

CD- You asking for it buster! *they start making out again. And again. And again!*

Dr. Jacobs- Well, Mrs. Ramirez, you are one lucky girl. Your baby is fine but whoever punched you, wanted you to have a miscarriage.
Magda- I had that feeling. When can I go home?
Dr. Jacobs- I would like to keep you here overnight for observation. If that is okay with you.
Magda- I don't want to but if it is best, I will.
Dr. Jacobs- Did anyone come with you?
Magda- My partner just went to go pick up my son.

Jinny called an ambulance to come and see if Gabe was okay. He died from cause of the bullet shot. But after Jinny explained what had happend, they cleared it as a good shoot. Jinny went to Gabe's car to see if she could find anything. There was Ben sleeping in the back seat.

Jinny- Ben. Ben. Wake up.
Ben- What's going on?
Jinny- I'm going to take you home now.
Ben- Where's Daddy?
Jinny- I'll explain later.
Ben- Where's my Mommy?
Jinny- She had to go somewhere. Come on, let's go home.

The next morning, CD's alarm woke them up at 6:30.

CD- Good morning. How did you sleep?
Nate- Not to well.
CD- Why not?
Nate- I never got the chance to sleep!
CD- Oh. Right.
Nate- I should go back to my house to shower and change.
CD- You could shower here if you want?
Nate- What will I do for clothes.
CD- Here. Wear this.

Nate- Yuo won't tell anyone we are together.
CD-Only because if we tell one person, another one will find out. And then another and the finally Spivey.
Nate- Oh. Right.
CD- Listen Nate, I love you. Really I do. But what if things don't work out between us. Then we would not be able to be partners. You are one of the best partners I ever had. I don't want to lose this. Do you understand what I am trying to say?
Nate- Of course I do. But I also want to be able to hug you and kiss you whenever I want. I want to scream out to the whole world 'I love Candace DeLorenzo! I love her sooo very much.'
CD- You don't think I want to shout out those things just as much as you do? I do. Really I do. But Nate, this is a very complicated situation we have gotten ourselves into.
Nate- I understand that. Well, what are we going to do?
CD- We could still see eachother out of work as long as we don't go anywhere we might be seen by anyone we know.
Nate- So, basically, we have to sneak around for the rest of our lives.
CD- Not necessarily. You will screw up a case eventually and get fired. Then we could see eachother whenever we want to.

That morning, Magda called Jinny to tell her she was ready to go home and that everything was ok. Magda also asked Jinny to bring Ben because she had to talk to him about Gabe. On the way to the hospital, Jinny talked to Ben about how come Magda was in the hospital. He was worried about his Mom but she explained that she was doing absolutely fine. When they got to the hospital, Magda got heself all checked out and she was ready to go.

Magda- Hey Jin, do you mind if I talk to Ben alone for a few minutes?
Jinny- Sure. I will just go get us some coffee. Do you want anything Ben?
Ben- I'll have a chocolate milk.
Jinny- This early in the morning?
Magda- You obviously don't know my son very well.
Jinny- *laughs* I will be back.
Magda- Ben, do you remember that night where me and your daddy had that big fight?
Ben- Yeah. It was kinda scary.
Magda- Well, your daddy and I had to have a little time apart from eachother. And, well, while we were having our time apart, he had a little accident.
Ben- Don't tell me he is in the hospital too.
Magda- No honey. He isn't.

Magda- He died sweetie. The accident he had was just to hard for him to take. I'm sorry Ben.

That morning at The Division, CD had just come into work.

Spivey- Good morning Inspector.
CD- Why are you in such a good mood?
Spivey- My Bonsai grew more today. I am thrilled.

Jinny- Could have went better.
CD- I heard about Gabe. How is she holding up?
Jinny- She is holding up pretty good. Ben is upset but he is fine. I expected everything yo\\to go a lot worse than it did.
CD- Well, that's good.
Spivey- Inspector Exstead, where is your partner now?
Jinny- I told her to take the day off.
Spivey- And who died and made you queen? You don't have the authority to do that.
Jinny- She was going to take the day off anyway.
Spivey- In my office, now.
CD- Someone's in trouble.

Spivey- I heard about the shooting last night and yes I did expect her to take the day off but what I didn't expect was to hear that you are the one that shot her husband.
Jinny- I did it right. He was going to hurt her. What else was I supposed to do?
Spivey- You could have called the police.
Jinny- I am the police. I had it under control.
Spivey- If you had it under control, a man would not be dead.
Jinny- If I went to call the police, he would have killed her. In case you were not aware, he was holding a gun to her head. He was going to kill her. I did everything right.

Raina- I am going to go visit Captain today at lunch. Does anyone want to come with me?
CD- I'll come with you.
Nate- So will I.
CD- *gives Nate a strange look*
Nate- What?
CD- Nothing.

Raina- How are you doing Captain?
Kate- I have been a lot better. How is everything at the station.
CD- It would be a lot nicer if we had the Spivey off our asses.
Kate- Wow. And I thought I was going to hear you guys say he was better than me.
Raina- Never! Are you coming back to work?

Kate- I am not sure yet. I mean, I didn't get the chief's job and I don't want this happening again. But yet, I want to come back to work so bad.
Nate- Well, Captain, that is a decision you are going to have to make on your own.
Kate- I know. I am so scared I will make the wrong decision.
Louis- Well, what's going on here?
Kate- Hi Louis. They just came tosee how I was doing.

Magda- Same here. I don't know where I can find the time. *They both laugh*

Nate- Problems can happen when women over 40 have babies. Not over 30.
CD- Still. How can I take care of a bay when I have work?

Kate was ready to go home on Wednesday morning. She didn't want to call Louis to pick her up and she didn't want a total stranger to help her into a cab. She knew she had to call her but she really really didn't want to.

Kate- Yeah, I guess you're right. He didn;t want me going back to work. He wants me to stay home all the time and do absolutely nothing.

Kate- So I kicked him out and he packed up his things and left.
Raina- I am sorry Captain.
Kate- Yeah well. What are ya gonna do? Men suck.
Raina- Wait. If Louis won't be there, how are you going to live? You can barely move.

CD- I am just so confused. I don't know what I want to do.

CD- Nate wants me to have the baby. He wants us to live happily ever after like in a fairytale. But life isn't a fairytale.

CD- I really do love him. But, it's like I wasn't meant to have any men in my life. Any good one's anyway. Every man I have met has hurt me. My father, my mom's boyfriend, Brian, Paul, and Dick. If Nate is like the others, what do I do?

Jinny and Magda came into the office together. They agreed to not talk about the baby at work because of the big mouth Raina.
Raina- Why have you two been coming in together at the same time for the past week?
Jinny- Raina?
Raina- Yeah?
Jinny- Just shut up. Please just shut up.
Raina- What's the matter with you?
Jinny- I am just sick and tired of coming into work and being questioned by you all the time. Raina, sometimes you just have to understand that things are personal. Ok?
Raina- Fine. I see that you two are sharing a secret that you don't want to share with me just yet. When you guys are ready to tell me, let me know.
Jinny-*looks over at Magda* She is not comprehending this is she?
Magda- *Shrugs*

It is now the end of the day and Raina just yelled to Kate from across the hall.

Raina- Hey roomie, ready to go home?
Jinny- *Gets this very wierd look on her face* Roomie?
Kate- Yes, I'm rooming with Raina.
Jinny- *looks over at Magda* She must have gotten kicked out of her place because I don't think anyone on this earth is that desperate to live with Raina! *laughs*
Magda- Jin... *Sighs, walking out*
Kate- *Watches after her, not even thinking to ask* Come on, Raina.

CD had asked Nate to come over to her place so they could talk. Nate just kept thinking to himself, 'Uh oh. Another one of those talks'. When he got there, CD looked so serious.

CD- Nate, we have to talk.
Nate- I know. That's why I'm not the least bit anxious about it.
CD- Nate, I am seriously thinking about putting the baby up for adoption. We can still be together but I don't think we are ready for a baby.
Nate- *Sighs, taking her hand in his* Whatever you want to do.
CD- Now, this decision isn't carved in stone yet but I really think this is the best thing. *tears form in her eyes* For everyone.
Nate- *Brings her closer to him* CD, I love you, and I always will. No matter what you decide, I'll support your decision.
CD- I am really glad you feel this way. I was so scared that you wanted to keep the baby and then we would get into a huge argument. I love you Nate.
Nate- Well, I'm not going to lie to you. At first, I did. Then, I thought it over and decided it was your decision more than mine.
*Kisses her* I love you too.

Here you go everyone. Hope you enjoy. Again I will name the characters we played. I (Kelly) played Jinny, CD, Raina, Ben, and John Sr. Kiera played Magda, Kate, Nate, and Casey.


Magda has just called Ben out to the living room. She said she had to talk to him.

Ben- What is it Mommy?
Magda- Well, do you remember when you were younger and you wanted a younger brother or sister?
Ben- Oh yeah. I wanted to teach him how to play football.
Magda- Well, you are getting your wish. Mommy's going to have a baby.
Ben- Really??
Magda- Yes. Are you excited?
Ben- Am I ever!
Magda- I am really glad.
Ben- Can I go back and play video games now?
Magda- *laughs* Yes, go ahead.

Jinny and Magda sat down at the kitchen table.

Jinny-Well, that went well.
Magda- Thank goodness.
Jinny- Now comes the hardest part of all.
Magda- *Not really paying attention* Hmm?
Jinny- You and Casey gotta tell my Dad sooner or later. When were you planning on doing it?
Magda- After I had the baby. *She said, sort of joking, sort of serious*
Jinny- Mag, come on, get serious. You have to tell him. Hey, why don't you tell him at family poker night tomorrow?
Magda- I don't think that's really an appropriate time---
Jinny- Why not? You are practically family.
Magda- *Sighs* Will it get you off my case?
Jinny- Hmm...maybe. Will you go willingly?
Magda- What if I don't?
Jinny- *gets up and goes over to the phone* Well, I could always tell Dad myself on the phone...
Magda- You're bluffing.
Jinny- *picks up the phone* Wanna try me? *laughs*
Magda- Fine. You win. I'll tell him
Jinny- I knew you would see it my way.
Magda- *Mumbles* I'll just unplug your phone while you're asleep.......
Jinny- I Don't think you want to do that. Remember I took Karate.
Magda- And you have the ears of a bat apparently... *Yawns*
Jinny- *laughs* Come on. Let's go to bed. You have a big day ahead of you.
Magda sighs, following Jinny.

It is the next morning. Jinny and Magda both took the day off from work because Magda wasn't feeling to well.

Jinny- You feeling any better? Do you need anything?
Magda- No, I'll be fine. It's just morning sickness.
Jinny- Are you sure? I know you expecting mothers always like crackers when you feel sick. *giggles*
Magda- Bite me.
Jinny- Want me to take Ben to school for you?
Magda- *Sighs, nodding*
Jinny- What's wrong?
Magda- I told you, nothing. Just morning sickness. Comes with the pregnancy.
Jinny- Ok. I am also running to the store.Do you need anything?
Magda- No, I'm okay. I just need to rest.
Jinny- Ok, well I'm off. *yells* Come on Ben, time for school.

CD and Nate are working on a case. Kate was getting settled into work again. CD knocked on her door and came into her office.

CD- So Captain, how is your new living arrangement?
Kate- Oh, it's fine...
CD- Tell the truth.
Kate- I'm just... used to living alone. I like my privacy.
Jinny and Magda just showed up at Jinny's Dad's house. Raina graciously agreed to babysit Ben.

Jinny-Hi Dad. We're here.
Magda- *Silent*
Jinny- Is Casey here yet?
Casey- *Walks in* Sorry, I'm late. I got caught up at work.

He turns a crimson color when he sees Magda, and gets very quiet.

Casey- Oh... Hi, Magda...
Magda- Hi, Casey.
John Sr.- Well, let's get started with poker. Does anyone want anything to drink?

Magda and Casey are silent, still staring at each other blankly.

Jinny- Uh, I'll have a diet coke. Magda will have milk, right Magda? Magda??
Magda- Uh, yeah, sure, fine.
John Sr.- He is everyone's drinks. So, how is everyone?
Casey- Long day, Dad.
John Sr.- I'm glad I retired. I don't miss the long days one bit.
Jinny- Well, Magda has something to talk to you about.
Casey's eyes widen.
John Sr.- Really? Well, go ahead Magda. What do you have to talk to me about?
Magda- Uh, well, Mr. Exstead, I ----
John Sr.- Calm down Magda. Just tell me slowly. Take your time.
Magda- I'm... I'm.... I'm pregnant.
John Sr.- Oh Magda. That's great. But I have one question. What does this have to do with me?
Magda- *Swallows* ...It's Casey's...
Casey- *Silent*
John Sr. *stays silent*
Jinny- So how about some cards?
Casey- I think I'd better be going...---
John Sr.- *very seriously* No Casey you are staying right here.
Casey- ...And apparently I'm staying... *He said, sitting back down*
John Sr.- Casey, I am confused. How did this happen?
Casey- Well Dad, umm, I think you know how it happened... can we not go into that?
John Sr.- Casey. This is absolutely no time for joking matters. Magda, I thought you were married. And Casey, I thought you were, well, gay.

Casey & Magda answer the same answer, but with different meaning "I am."

John Sr.- Then how did..how did you two...end up together?
Magda- We're not... together.
Casey- We just... had sex... together...
John Sr.- Why did you have, you know, sex with Magda if you're gay? I am so confused.
Jinny- You're not the only one.
John Sr.- You knew and didn't tell me?
Jinny- It wasn't for me to tell you.
John Sr.- Well anyway, why were you with Magda?
Magda- Umm, I think it was the night, Jinny, when you were trying to kick that synthetic heroin... (Which was a mistake on Mag's part b/c Jin's dad didn't know... lol)
John Sr.-What?!
Jinny- *whispers* Thanks Mag.
Magda- *Glares* Anyway, Jack stayed with her and I went to the store and ended up staying with Casey... and... well...
John Sr.- I will deal with you later miss. And as for you two, I don't know what to say.
Casey- There's nothing to say. What's done is done, Dad...
Magda- And it didn't go without cosequence either. ...I lost my husband because of it...
John Sr.- I'm so sorry. He left you because of the affair?
Magda- More than that.
Casey- What happened?
Magda- *Sighs* Well, the short version of it... Jinny had to shoot him in the end...
John Sr.- You shot Magda's husband??
Jinny- It's not like that.
Magda- *Quietly* She didn't have a choice.
Casey- *Sighs*
John Sr.- Well, what are you guys gonna do? *They look at each other*
Magda- ... Have the baby, I guess... What other choice do I have? *Half laughs* Ben's so excited about having a younger sibling. John Sr.- Are you going to live together or something? How s this going to work out?
Magda- I don't know.

Casey picks at his fingernails just as something to stay out of the conversation.

John Sr.- Well, you have got time.
Jinny- Casey? What is the matter with you? You haven't said a word. Don't leave this responsibility all to Magda.
Casey- *Sighs* Jinny, I'm really not in the mood to argue with you. I'm just, confused right now. *Gets up and walks out into the other room*
John Sr.- So Jinny, what is all this crap I am hearing about heroin?Magda follows after Casey.
Jinny- Dad, ya know what? I really don't want to discuss this with you right now.
John Sr.- Yeah, we are going to talk about it now!
Jinny- Not while my friend is in the other room Dad.
John Sr.- Well, apparently she already knows. She told me and not my own daughter.
Jinny- Don't pull that guilt crap on me.
John Sr.- I am your father. I have a right to know what is going on in your life.
Jinny- Oh really? You never told me what went wrong with you and Mom until about a year ago.
John Sr.- This is not about me. This is about you.
Jinny- *yells* This has EVERYTHING to do with you!!!
Meanwhile, in the other room, Casey is on a bed and Magda comes in.

Magda- You okay?

Casey doesn't answer.

Magda- Look, I know I'm probably the last person you want to talk to right now, but---
Casey- No you're not. My dad and Jinny are.
Magda- *Sighs and walks over* Anything I can do to help?
Casey- Magda, I don't want to hurt you. But I don't love you. To me, you're like... when Jinny used to have sleepovers and her girlfriends would give me a quick kiss on the cheek and say how cute I was.
Magda- *Smiles a little* Well, I don't have any feelings for you either, Casey.
Casey- *Smiles* Is everything okay now?
Magda- Nothing will ever be... okay again. But it's getting better.
Casey- *Nods*

Hello. Thi post I will be writing on my own. It seems that only a couple people are reading this. Oh well. I enjoy writing it so I won't stop! Lol. Here's more for everyone.

John Sr.- Ok. Let's all just calm down. Please just talk to me.
Jinny- There's nothing to talk about.
John Sr.- Remember all those time when you were a little girl? You used to be able to tell me everything. Well, maybe not everything, but you did talk to me about certain things.
Jinny- I was just having a little trouble sleeping and I started taking these pills called OxyContin. It just got out of hand but it is all better now. That is all that happend.

Casey and Magda come out of the bedroom.

Magda- Is everything ok now?
Jinny- Yeah, is everything alright between you two?
Casey- Yeah. Dad, are you still mad at me?
John Sr.- I was never really mad. Just a little bit confused.
Magda- Well, Casey is going to help me out with the baby. The baby will live with me and if Jinny says it is alright, we will be living with her until I find an apartment.
Jinny- No. I will not have that.
Magda- What?
Jinny- You will not be living with me until you get an apartment. You will be living with me always. That way I can help you out.
Magda- Are you sure?
Jinny- I will not take no for an answer. I insist.
Magda- *laughs* Alright Jin.
Jinny- Ok. Can we please play poker now??
Everyone starts laughing.

The next morning when everyone arrived at the Division, Kate came out to tell everyone about a new case.

Kate- Ok everyone, listen up. We got a kidnapping case. 2 year old boy, kidnapped from his home while taking in his crib.
CD- What did the mother say?
Kate- All she said was that she went up to his room to check on him and he was gone. She looked everywhere and then she found a note on the window. It said to give them $16,935.67 or he will die.
Nate- That is an odd amount for a ransome isn't it?
Kate- He probably owes money to someone and that is the exact amount. Raina and CD, why don't you go talk to the mother. See if you can get any information.
Raina- Ok. Let's go partner.
Jinny and Magda just gave each other weird looks.
Jinny- I thought CD and Nate were partners.
Magda- They were. Let's go get the scoop.
Jinny- Nate, what's up? What happend between you and CD?
Nate- What do you mean?
Magda- We mean why is Raina CD's partner and not you?
Nate- Oh, that. Well, you see, it's like this.
Jinny- Um, before you go on, I should tell you that lying is no option so don't try it.
Nate- Alright. CD and I went into the Captains office and told her that CD and I have been seeing eachother and we can't be partners anymore.
Jinny- That sucks Nate. I am sorry.
Nate- I'm not. Now we can be together. In fact, I am going to ask her tonight if we can move in together.

Everyone, please wish Kiera a very happy birthday. She has been helping me out a lot with this fic. Love ya Kiera. This post is Kiera's birthday present. Even though her birthday is tomorrow. Oh well, it's soon enough! Here you go:

CD and Nate went to have dinner at this little Italian restaraunt called 'Mi Amore' When they got there, CD was a little bit confused.

Nate- Hello. I have reservations for two. The name is Basso.
Hostess- Oh yes Mr. Basso. They have been working on it all day long. This way please.
CD- *whispers* Nate, what's going on?
Nate- It's a surprise.

When CD got there, she was stunned. There was really only one thing she could get to come out of her mouth.

CD- Oh my God!
Nate- Is that a good 'Oh my God' or a bad 'Oh my God'?
CD- A good Oh my God. Definitly! What is the occasion? There must be 250 pink and blue ballons here.
Nate- 292 to be exact. They popped a few of them.
CD- Oh Nate. This is absolutely beautiful. I love it!
Nate- The surprise isn't over yet. I have something to ask you. Now that everyone knows about us and we can actually be seen together, will you please move in with me and be my girl?
CD- Oh Nate. I don't know what to say.
Nate- I would like you to say yes. No pressure though.
CD- Yes Nate. I will. But on one condition.
Nate- And that would be?
CD- You have to be my man forever and ever and ever.
Nate- Well, I don't really know about forever but I guess I could live with ya for about 300 years. But then you're gone. *laughs*

The next morning, CD and Nate came into work and they could not stop smiling. Of course, everyone noticed so they just assumed they had a long, passionate night of hot sex. Kate then came out of her office.

Kate- Listen up. The mother of the little boy who was kidnapped just called. She got a letter in the mail from the kidnapper. It said to have the money in 48 hours or the boy dies. She also said that enclosed with the letter was a lock of the boys hair and fabric from his pajamas. This is getting extemely serious. CD, Raina, I am assigning Jinny and Magda to this case too so they can help you guys out. We need to find out who sent this letter.
Raina- We could send the letter down to the lab and get the fingerprints off of it.
Magda- Do you know how hard that will be? Do you have any idea how many people have touched that letter?
Kate- Well, it's a start. When you guys get the prints, check every one of them for criminal records.
Jinny- You got it. Let's get to work.
Raina- Why are you in such a good mood?
Jinny- I am not in a good mood. There is just no reason to be in a bad one.
Raina- Uh huh. And what is up with you two today?
CD- What do you mean?
Raina- Um, maybe because you two can't stop smiling.
CD- Nothing is wrong. It's just...it's nothing.

About an hour later, they recieved a phone call from the lab.

Jinny- *on the phone* Ok thanks. Hey guys we just got a call from the lab. There were five prints on it. One of them was the mothers but she had to touch it to open it. Another one was the mailman, Robert Henly. The others were Jacqueline Quails, Donna Sherwood, and Andrew Mineet. Only two of them have records and that is Robert Henly and Andrew Mineet.
Kate- Jinny, you and Magda go talk to Mr. Henly. See if he remembers who he got the letter from. Just to be on the safe side, see if there are any kids in his house.
Jinny- Ok Cap. Let's go.
Officer- Inspector Ramirez?
Magda- Who wants to know?
Officer- I'm Officer Shooler. We're looking for Magda Ramirez.
Magda- I'm Inspector Ramirez. What can I do for you?
Officer- We need to talk to you about your husband.
Magda- Alright. Jin, why don't you go talk to the mailman. I'll meet you down there. Take back up with you.
Jinny- Will you be OK?
Magda- Yeah. Go ahed. I'll be there soon.
Jinny- Okay.

Jinny was thinking to herself in the elevator that he was just the mailman. Of course he touched the letter. There was really no need to call for backup. She can take care of it. When she got there, she pulled up to a nice country like house. IT was so cute.

Jinny- This can't be the house of a criminal. This should be fine. *She knocked on the door*
Robert- Can I help you?
Jinny- Hello. I am Inspector Exstead from the San Francisco Police Department. I need to speak to you about a very important matter.
Robert- Sure. Come on in.
Jinny- Thank you. You have a very lovely home here.
Robert- Thank you very much. Would like anything? I make one hell of a cup of coffee.
Jinny- Sure. Thank you.
Robert- No problem. I will be right back.

Jinny then heard a noise. It sounded like a baby crying. Jinny then got suspicous. So when she saw that Mr. Henly was distracted, she went to see what the noise was. When she found the room the noise was in, she was shocked. It was the baby boy who had been kidnapped. As soon as she realized who the baby was, something grabbed her from behind. Robert Henly had pulled the gun out of her holster and pointed it at Jinny. All of a sudden..BAM! She went down.

Hi guys. My fault. Kiera and I started writing this up to where Magda talked to the receptionist and then I was supposed to meet her online but my computer was temporarily broken. It is fixed now and she is not online so I will finish it so I don't leave you guys in to much suspense. Here you go:

Magda- What did you want to talk to me about, Officer?
Officer- I heard that you were the last person to talk Gabriel. What did you two talk about?
Magda- Our marriage.
Officer- Did you two get into an argument?
Magda- Uh, well, that depends...
Officer- Was he getting aggressive?
Magda- *Sighs* Yes.
Officer- I just have one more question. Do you feel that Inspector Exstead did the right thing by shooting him? Please be honest.
Magda- I can't discuss this right now... *She starts to walk away, quickly*
Officer- Excuse me Inspector but you have to. Did she do the right thing? And by walking away I take it your answer is no then.
Magda- She did what she had to do. *She said, in a cold, harsh tone, continuing to walk away*

Magda got into her car and went to the house of Mr. Henly. She was a little confused when she saw the front door wide open.

Magda- *Walks in* Jinny? Mr. Henly? Hello...?

Magda- Looked in all of the rooms and didn't see anyone but she knew Jinny had to be there because her car was in the driveway. And then she went into a room and saw Jinny on the floor.

Magda- Oh, my god, Jinny...

She kneels down beside her.

Magda- Jinny? Come on, honey... *Doesn't see anything wrong... yet*

When Magda knelt beside her, she noticed that Jinny was bleeding really bad. She had been shot once in the chest. She first checked to see if Jinny had a pulse. She did. Right away, she called for an ambulance.

Magda- Officer down!

Continues with the information and hangs up when they tell her they're on their way.

Magda- Jinny, honey, stay with me. Please, stay with me. *She said, sniffling a little*

When the ambulance arrived, they quickly checked her pulse and her blood pressure. They quickly got into the ambulance and got her to the hospital.

Magda- *Calls Jinny's dad on her cell*
John Sr.- Hello?
Magda- *A little teary-eyed. You can tell something's wrong in her voice* Mr. Exstead? I..it's Magda.
John Sr.- Hi Magda. *now worried* What's wrong?? You sound funny.
Magda- *Tear rolls down her cheek* It's Jinny. She's been shot... *Now entering the hospital*
John Sr.- How is she? Did you hear anything?
Magda- I'm at the hospital now. Come or don't come. I'll call when I know. *Hangs up, not really thinking about anything, but how Jinny is*

She walks up to the front desk.

Magda- Excuse me, I'm looking for Jinny Exstead.
Receptionist- Are you family?
Magda- *Lies* Yes.
Receptionist- Alright. She is in surgery right now. There is no knowing what will happen until she gets out.
Magda- Well, how long will that be?
Recpetionist- I really don't know. There is no predicting these kind of things.
Mahda- *sighs* Thank you. Can I call some people to come here and wait with me? They are not family but they really care about her.
Receptionist- I know you are not family either.
Magda- Well..I..we..
Receptionist- It's ok. I understand. I did the same thing when my friend went to the hospital. Go ahead and call all the people you want.
Magda- Thank you so much.
Receptionist- Sure. I hope your friend is ok.
Magda- Me too. Me too. *sighs*

So Magda called the Captain. Kate, Raina, and CD came down as soon as they all heard. Nate stayed behind to work on the case. They didn't have that much time left. Finally, they got to the hospital.

Kate- Magda, how is she?
Magda- I don't know. Theysaid she is still in surgery but she has been in there for over two hours.
CD- I am sorry Magda. What happend?
Magda- I don't know. An officer wanted to talk to me about Gabe so she went to the mailman's house without me. But she told me she would take plenty of backup. I don't know what she was thinking about going over there without backup. It is all my fault.
CD- This is not your fault. Don't even think that.
Magda- I'm just scared.
CD- I know.

They waited in that waiting room for two more hours. Then Raina jumped up.

Raina- Magda, is that the doctor??
Magda- *gets up quickly* Yes. Doctor, how is she doing.
Doctor- Well, there were a few complications.

I'l leave ya here. Kiera and me will pick up with this tomorrow. Nighty night.

Doctor- Well, as you know she was shot once in the chest. She lost a lot of blood. We got the bullet out but it hit a muscle near the heart and damaged it. She is now unconsious. The only way she will make it is if she wakes up within the next week or so.
Magda- Oh my God. *sits down and starts crying*
Kate- And if she wakes up, what damge will she have?
Doctor- None. If she wakes up, she will be fine. IT is just the matter of waking up. I am sorry.
CD- Thank you Doctor.
Doctor- I only wish I could do more. You may go in and sit with her for a little while if you want to.
Kate- Thanks.

When they got into Jinny's hospital room, they were stunned. They had never seen Jinny so pale and helpless. Not even when she was dead drunk.

Magda- Hi Jin. You'll be out here before you know. *about ready to cry*
Kate- Don't worry. She'll be okay. She's a trooper.
Magda- It's all my fault. I shouldn't have let her go alone. I told her to take backup with her. I told her to. Why the hell did she go alone?
Raina- You had no way of knowing. It is not your fault.
Magda- I know it wasn't really my fault. But I feel so responsible.
Kate- Well, it's not. Jinny has always been able to take care of herself. You know how stubborn she can be sometimes. This time she just went in way over her head. Everything will be fine. Wait and see.

Just as they were saying that, CD's cell phone rang.

CD- "DeLorenzo? Yeah, hang on a minute." I'm sorry. I'll take this call out in the hall. *leaves the room*
CD- Ok. How is the search going?
Nate- We can't find out anything about this guy. He is a ghost. We have no idea where he went but with the prints on the crib, we found out that the baby in that crib was the baby who we were looking for. The mailman kidnapped him.
CD- Great. Now what are we going to do? He could be halfway across the country by now.
Nate- We're working on it.
CD- I think I will leave here pretty soon to come and help. I had better go now.
Nate- Alright. Kiss Jinny for me.
CD- I will.
Nate- Did you find out how she is.
CD- It's a long story. I will tell you when I get there. Bye.
Nate- Bye.

When CD got back into the room, Magda, Kate, and Raina were all crying and laughing at the same time.

CD- What's wrong?? What happend?
Magda- Oh, we were just remembering the first time we all met Jinny. Ya know, she was such a smartass and very irascible.
CD- And what exactly has changed? *laughs*
Kate- Oh come on. She isn't that irascible anymore but I do have to say she is still quite the little smartass.

At that moment, John Exstead Sr. walked into the room.

John Sr.- I got here as soon as I could. How is she?
Kate- Did you talk to the doctor?
John Sr.- Yes. Any change?
Magda- Not yet.
John Sr.- Oh God I am so scared. *Magda gets up and hugs him*
Magda- It's ok. Everything is going to alright. She'll pull through, don't worry.
CD- I am going to head back over to the Division. Anyone else coming.
Magda- If it's ok, I would like to stay here until my partner wakes up.
Kate- That's fine. I'll stay here too.
Raina- I am going to go with CD. You guys need all the help you can get.
Kate- Call me if you find out anything, anything at all.
CD- I will. *Leans over the bed and gives Jinny a kiss on the forehead* Bye Jinny. I'll be back later.

A few hours later, Magda started to get very hungry.

Magda- I think I am going to go get something to eat. Anyone else want anything?
John Sr.- I'll come with you. Do you want to come too?
Kate- No. I'll stay with Jinny.
Magda- Want us to bring you back anything?
Kate- That's ok. I am not very hungry.
John Sr.- Are you sure? It is going to be awhile.
Kate- I'm sure.

When they left, Kate was there alone with Jinny. She didn't want to cry in front of John and Magda. But now that she was alone, she had to cry. She could not hold it in anymore no matter how much she tried.

Kate- Oh Jinny. Why the hell did you go there alone? You have to come back Jin. You just have to. You once said that you owed me a favor. Well, now is a pretty good time to return the favor.Just pull through and I will never ask for anything else again. Never. You are like a daughter to me. Just give me a sign. Please God give me a sign.

All of a sudden, the machine Jinny was hooked up to went crazy. They were beeping very loudly. Kate knew that meant there was something wrong. Doctors rushed in there and asked Kate to leave. She was now terrified.

I will end there for now. Kiera and I might post more tonight I am not sure. Since her birthday is today, I just might post another one alone. See ya all later.

Kate was getting very worried. They were doing all kinds of things to her but Kate didn't know what. She was really really scared. And then Magda and John Sr. came back.

John Sr.- Kate, what's wrong?
Kate- It's Jinny. Her machine just started beeping so... madly.
John Sr.- Oh my God. Are we allowed to go in? I want to see her.
Kate- I don't know. They're doing so many things to her, John.
Doctor- It's alright. She just had a seisure and had a little trouble breathing. She is fine now though. You may go back in now if you want.
John Sr.- You are sure she is OK now? Will this happen again?
Doctor- It might but we put her on some medication to stop that. She shouldn't have anymore.
John Sr.- Thank you.
Kate- -Breathe a sigh of relief- Oh, thank god.
Magda- -To herself- I can't lose her...
Kate- -Comes up behind her- You won't... come on. *They all go back in*

They go into the room and they just stare at Jinny. They all had a terrible feeling that she was not going to make it. Hours went by and they was still no change.

John Sr.- It is half past 11. We should get going.
Magda- Can I have just a few more minutes? Alone?
John Sr.- Sure. We'll wait outside.
Magda picks up Jinny's hand and holds it in her own.
Magda- You're gonna get through this, Jin. Just like you fought it out that night... -Pauses- The night you tried to kill yourself. -Sighs- Jinny, you're my best friend, and I can't help but thinking it should be me, lying there in that bed, hooked up to all those machines. Not you. -Tear rolls down her cheek-
I don't know what I'd do if I lost you. I need you, Jinny. You were there for me when I got shot, let me be here for you. She gives Jinny's hand a gentle squeeze and kisses it. She brushes some bangs out of Jinny's eyes and continues to hold her hand, looking at the ring that Jack had given her. That she had witness him give Jinny, on the night they got married. Thinking about the first time Jinny had asked her to become her partner. As she remembered telling her she had some concerns, she started to sob quietly.

Suddenly, the door opend. Magda looked behind her, she couldn't believe who it was.

Magda- Jack, what are you doing here?
Jack- I heard about what happend. Is she alright?
Magda- I am so scared Jack. What if we lose her?

Magda wipes her eyes, quickly, so he wouldn't see she'd been crying.

Hello all! I am really glad you all like this. It makes me happy knowing you guys love our work! It puts a smile on my face :D!!
Anyway, I had absolutely nothing to do during my study period so
I wrote down some more. Here you go:

Magda- She has been he same. Will she be like this unti she wakes up?
Doctor- I am afraid so but we will be checking on her frequently. I am sorry but visiting hours are over now. I am bending the rules a little but two of you may stay with her tonight if you want.
Kate- I would love to but I have to go to work tomorrow before they fire my ass.
Magda- Would it be okay if I stay with her Mr. Exstead?
John Sr.- Of course. You are her best friend after all.
Jack- May I stay with her as well?
John Sr.- Jack? I didn't even know you were here. I thought you were in Tousan.
Jack- I was but when I heard about what had happend, I just had to come back.
John Sr.- Oh, Doctor this is Jack, Jinny's..uh...
Jack- Jinny's husband.
Doctor- It's very nice to meet you. Well, I have other patients to check on. If there is any problems, you know where to find me.
John Sr.- Thank you Docotr.
Jack- May I please stay here with Jinny and Magda?
John Sr.- Sure. I will go home and let Casey and Ronnie know how she is doing. *Goes over and kisses Jinny* I will be back tomorrow. Goodnight Jinnygirl. I love you.
Kate- Sweet dreams. *Kisses Jinny's forehead*
John Sr.- Call me if there are any problems.
Magda- We will.

Jack and Magda stayed up all night talking. All they did was talk about Jinny. When they met her and what they used to do together, etc. But mainly, they discussed about why this happend.

Jack- Just when she was starting to get happy. Why did this have to happen? Why her?
Magda- I have been asking myself that question all day long. I just can't find the answer. *Picks up Jinny's hand and puts it up against her cheek* Do you know what time it is?
Jack- It's 9:30AM. That night went by pretty quick.
MAgda- Not for me. I am really afraid. I want to hear Jinny scream at me so bad. I want her to take me to the Anchorside and ;augh and joke around like we always do.

Magda then noticed Jack had his head down on the side of the bed and he was sound alseep. She couldn't help but laugh. Actually, she was feeling pretty tired herself. So she put her head down for a few minutes and held Jinny's hand close to her. Magda, still sleeping at the time, felt a gentle squeeze in her hand. Magda thinking it was the doctor woke up. But no, it wasn't the doctor. It was Jinny. Magda saw that Jinny was trying to move her hands but she couldn't open her eyes.

Magda- Jinny? Sweetie wake up.

Jinny very slowly opend her eyes.

Jinny- Mag?

Magda- Jinny, honey, you are in the hospital. You've been shot. How are you doing?
Jinny- *Weakly* I've been better. How bad is it?
Magda- It's not bad at all. But I do have to say you gave us quite a scare.
Jinny- Us?
Magda- Yeah. Me and uh..*Points to Jack*
Jinny- *Looks at Jack and says weakyl* He is supposed to be in Tousan. What is he doing here?
Magda- He came to be with you.
Jinny-Thank you.
Magda- For what?
Jinny- For being here with me.
Magda- You did the same for me. I couldn't do any less.
Jinny- So where do we go from here? Am I okay?
Magda- I am not sure. I will go get the doctor.
Jinny- Thanks.

As Magda was leaving, she whispered to herself 'Thank you God.'
Jinny just stared at Jack and was thinking that maybe he still loves her.

Jinny- Jack? Jack, wake up.
Jack- Jinny. You're awake. ThankGo. *Kisses her forehead*
Jinny- How long have you been here? I thought you were in Tousan.
Jack- When I heard about what had had happend, I just had to come.
Jinny- Thanks. I missed you.
Jack- I missed you too.

Magda then came in with the doctor.

Doctor- Welcome back Miss Exstead. How are you feeling?
Jinny- Well, I feel like someone shot me. *Giggles a little bit*
Doctor- Ok. Has sense of humor. That's very good. I hate say you will have a scar on your chest. It won't be big but it won't be small either.
Jinny- A scar is fine. I am just happy I am alive.
Doctor- In about an hour, I will be back in just so I can run a few tests.
Jinny- Thanks.
Magda- Thank you very much!
Doctor- I am glad everything worked out okay. *Leaves*
Jinny- I am exhausted.
Magda- You have been aleep for more than 24 hours. How can you possibly be tired??
Jinny- *Laughs* I don't know. I just am I guess.

Then Kate, Raina, CD, and Nate come into the room. They never expected Jinny to be awake, let alone laughing.

Kate- Jinny, you're finally up!
Jinny- Hi Cap. Just let me do my hair. I wasn't expecting company. *Laughs*
Kate- Shut up and give me a hug. *She gently gave Jinny a hug*
CD- See? I told you she would be okay.
Nate- I am really glad you are okay Jinny.
Jinny- Thanks guys.
Kate- Alright, now that we have done all the sweet stuff, now I get to ask you a question. What the hell were you thinking about going into the house by yourself?
Raina- Oh, c'mon Captain. She just woke up. Give her some room to breathe.
Jinny- *Laughs* It's okay Raina. To be honest, I thought I would be able to handle it on my own. But when I saw the baby, he snuck up behind me and grabbed my throat and took my gun out of my holster. Next thing I knew, I was here.
CD- Wait, what baby?
Jinny- Robert Henly has the baby that we were looking for.
Kate- CD, Raina, and Nate, go back to the Division and see if the mother has heard from the kidnapper lately and try and set up a meeting to give him the ransom. Then we'll nail him somehow.
CD- Ok. We'll go and work on it. I'll see you later Jinny.
Jinny- Bye CD.
Nate- I'll be back soon.
Jinny- Thanks Nate.
Raina- *Went to hug her* I'm sorry this happend.
Jinny- It was no one's fault but my own.
Raina- Don't say that. I'll see you later.
Jinny- Bye. Thanks for coming. Oh, uh, Cap. May I see you alone for a few minutes?
Magda- Let's go Jack. We'll get some coffee. *They leave*

Jinny- When I said he grabbed me and next thing I knew I was here in the hospital. I did hear something between those times.

Jinny- Yes. I just wanted to say thank you. I never knew you thought of me as your own daughter. *Laughs* And all this time I thought you hated me.

CD and Nate asked Raina if she could take a separate car. She didn't mind. It was so they could have a moment alone together.

CD- I am worn out.
Nate- How is our little mommy today?

Nate- Cheer up. At least pregnant women have that special glow. And hey, even if you do get fat, it is for a good reason.

Sorry we haven't posted in days. This next post is to honor the win of Sweetchild2005's game. Way to go guys!!! Here's our next part:

When CD and Nate got back to the Division, Raina was on the phone.
Raina- Ok. Everybody listen up. We got a case about a boy going on a killing spree at a catholic high school. Nate and I will go and check that out. And CD and Magda, there is a case Dealing with a man who went to an adoption center to ask for his 10 children he gave up for adoption years ago. When he found out they have already been adopted, he flipped out and called the cops.
Magda- And you actually want us to go down there?
Raina- Not normally but now he is getting physical so the adoption agency called us. You guys want this one?
CD- *Looks at Magda in a weird way* This is kind of weird isn't it?
Raina- Yeah but someone still has to go down there.
Magda- Ok. We'll go.
Nate- Have fun ladies!
CD- *Smiles at Nate* We will.

Raina and Nate were driving to the school.

Raina- *Smirk* I thought CD looked very nice today. She has a special..glow to her lately.
Nate- Of course. She is the best!
Raina- No it is something else. Don't you think so Nate? *Looks at him for awhile*

Magda- Then park the car and open the door....
Pulls into the nearest parking lot, which is a house. She gets sick right in the driveway. Magda gets out to see if she is all right and then the owners of the house come out.

Hi all. Kiera is watching Full House and I am a little bored so I thought I would post more. So here you go.

They were pretty much silent for the rest of the car ride. When they got there, CD didn't look right.

Magda- CD, are you alright? You look so pale.
CD- Yeah I just have a little upset stomach.
Magda- Well, let's get this over with. *Magda get's out of the car*
CD- *Got out of the car and was about to shut her door when she suddenly said something* Magda, Magda.
Magda-What?
CD- Help me. *She collapsed*
Magda- CD! Oh my God. CD!!! *She quickly got out her cellphone and called for an ambulance.
Receptionist- County General, what is your emergency?
Magda- I need an ambulance here as fast as you can. I got a pregnant woman collapsed on the street. We are the corner of Chestnut and Scott. Come quick!!
Receptionist- Someone will be right there.

While she waited for the ambulance, she just held CD in her arms.
Magda- CD, please wake up. Please. Not you. First Gbe then Jinny now you. I don't need anyone else to get hurt. Please wake up CD. *She looked on the street and saw that the ambulance was coming*
Magda- IT is about time you guys showed up.
Paramedic- How long has she been unconsious?
Magda- About 10 minutes.
Paramedic- And how far along is she?
Magda- I don't know for sure. She isn't very along though.
Paramedic- Alright. Her BP is through the roof and she is very dihidrated. Let's get her in the ambulance.
Magda- May I come?
Paramedic- Yeah, come on.

Magda climed into the ambulance. She couldn't believe what was happening. It is like her world is just crashing down. What else could happen? When they got to the hospital, Magda wasn't allowed to go with her. So she called Nate.

Nate- Basso?
Magda- Nate, it's Magda.
Nate- Hi. What's up?
Magda- Nate, come down to County General as soon as you can. It's CD.
Nate- What happend???
Magda- We were geting out of the car and she just collapsed. She is with the doctors now but you should come down.
Nate- I will be right there.

Magda waited and waited and waited. Finally Nate showed up.

Nate- How is she?
Magda- I don't know. They won't tell me anything.
Nate- Nothing??
Magda- Well, they said the doctor will come out and talk to us when he is finished examining her.
Nate- What exactly happend?
Magda- Well, we had to pull the car over because she was about to be sick, then she threw up in a strangers driveway. Then when she had some water and felt better again, we went to the place we had to go and while we were getting out of the car, she passed out.
Nate- Oh God the baby.
Magda- They already know that she is pregnant so they can take care of it. I had better go call Cap.
Nate- Alright. I will wait here.

Magda was coming back from talking to Captain when she saw someone that she thought was the doctor but it wasn't.

Magda- Alright. I just talked to Captain and you mister get the rest of the day off to be with your partner. Raina is taking care of the questioning for you. I can stay until I know what is going on.
Nate- Thanks Magda.
Magda- For what?
Nate- For staying here with me.
Magda- Of course Nate. *They hugged. Then out of the corner of her eye she saw the doctor coming.* Here's the doctor.
Nate- Well, how is she??

I am getting tired myself so I think I will stop here for now. Nighty night.

Doctor- She is alright now. She is sleeping. There are some complications with the pregnancy though.
Nate- Oh my god. Like what?
Doctor- She cannot work as hard as she does. She must drink pleanty of fluids and if she strains herself at any time, she will probably go into early labor and the baby will be born too early. She must stay away from stress of any kind.
Nate- -Sighs- Alright. Anything else I need to know? We're partners at the SFPD down the street. I'll try to ask our Captain if she can have time off.
Doctor- No, don't ask. Order her to give Candace the time off. You may see her now. We gave her some medication so don't besurprised if she acts a little...loopy.
Nate- I'm never shocked any other time. *He said, trying to lighten the mood*

Nate quickly went into the hospital room that CD was in while Magda went to go visit Jinny. When Nate got there, he was shocked at what he saw. He saw CD singing.

CD- You put your right foot in you put your right foot out. You put your right foot in and you shake it all about. You do the ho--*interrupted by Nate*
Nate- Sweetie? Are you feeling alright?
CD- I froze up when I left myself, You wanna talk about cold. Have you ever been so chilled to your heart, you heart stuck to your bones.
Nate laughs a bit.

Nate- CD? Hello?
CD- Oh Natey boy, didn't see ya there. How ya doin'?
Nate- -Sighs and takes her hand, holding and kissing it-
CD- Stop it Natey. Your making me blush!
Nate- Okay then... umm, how are you feeling?
CD- Much better. Hey, where's that guy in the white jacket? Doesn't he know he is not supposed to wear white after labor day?
Nate raises his eyebrow.

Nate- CD, he's your doctor...
CD- Oh OK. Well get the white coat doctor man for me because I wanna go home.
Nate- I think you need to stay... until you're... for lack of a better word, sober.
CD- ME??? Nah, I'm fine. Good as new.
Nate- You're acting silly.
CD- Can I please go now?
Nate- *sighs*
Nate- I'll go ask.
CD- Okey dokey. Take your time but hurry up!!
Nate nods and walks out of the room to find the doctor....and quick.
Nate finally sees the doctor coming down the hallway.
Nate- Can you take a look at my girlfriend, please? She's whacked out and wants to go home, but I have no idea what to tell her.
Doctor- Come on we'll go talk to her.
Nate nods and follows the doctor in.
CD- *Singing* Here we go round the mulberry bush, the mulberry bush, the mulberry bush every single morning...
Doctor- Candace, how are you feeling?
CD- Great! -Breaks into another little tune-
Nate looks at the doctor worridly.
Doctor- *Laughs* Alright Candace now just calm down a little okay?
CD- -Nods- -Yawning-
Doctor- That's good. Well, if you will allow me to, I would like to keep you overnight for observation.
CD- -Yawns and falls back on her pillow-

That medication didn't really get her high it just had a few..side effects. I know what you mean though. My Mom is a nurse but I just wanted to make it funny! Now here comes the sad part. Kiera isn't online right now so I am doing this part alone. Hope you guys like it.

While Nate was with the doctor in CD's room, Magda thought she would sneak away for a few minutes to see Jinny downstairs in her room. When she got there, she looked at Jinny through the window. The doctor was talking to her. She seemed very upset about something. As soon as the doctor left, Magda went into Jinny's room.

Magda- Hey, how are you doing?
Jinny- *Wiping tears away* I have been better.
Magda- Jinny, what's wrong?
Jinny- *sniffles* Well, the doctor was just in here and he said I need to have an operation.
Magda- For what?!
Jinny- Apparently, while I was recovering, a vain popped in my stomach or something and now I need to have surgery or there is a chance I will become paralyzed.
Magda- How can this be?? He said when you woke up, you would be fine. How could this have happend? You were doing so well.
Jinny- I thought so too.
Magda- How dangerous is this operation?
Jinny- Very. I could go into another coma right on the operating table.
Magda- Oh my god. Jinny, what are you going to do?
Jinny- *Starts crying again* I don't know. Can you please call my father and ask him and Jack to come down here. I have to tell them.
Magda- Absolutely. Anything else I can do for you?
Jinny- Hope. Hope and pray.
Magda- *Nodded*

When Magda left the room, she ran into the restrooms and started crying. She couldn't stop.

Magda- Why?? Why are you doing this to me??? WHY???

After she calmed down a little, she called John Sr.

John Sr.- Exstead?
Magda- John, it's Magda.
John Sr.- Hello Magda. What can I do for you?
Magda- Jinny asked me to call you and ask you and Jack to come down here as soon as you can.
John Sr.- Sure. What's wrong?
Magda- Nothing. Well, Jinny will explain when you get here.
John Sr.- Alright. I will see you soon.

When Magda got off of the phone with Jinny's Dad, she called Kate. She realized that she didn't tell Captain why she wasn't back at the Division yet.

Kate- McCafferty?
Magda- Captain, it's Magda.
Kate- Where are you? I talked to you an hour ago. It cannot be taking that long.
Magda- Well, CD is fine but when I stopped by to see Jinny, the doctor was talking to her and she..she has to..to have an operation. If she doesn't have it she may become paralyzed. *Magda started crying all over again*
Kate- I will be right there. *Hung up*

When she went back into Jinny's room, she tried her best to wipe away her tears. She realized that she had to stay strong for Jinny now. She could not break down.

Jinny- Where were you? Did you call them?
Magda- Yes Jin. Your Dad and JAck are on their way. Also, someone else is coming.
Jinny- Who?
Magda- *Mummbled* Kate...
Jinny- Excuse me?
Magda- Kate is coming down as well.
Jinny- You didn't. Please tell me you didn't.
Magda- She is worried about you Jin. She loves you like you were her own daughter.
Jinny- I understand that but now I will never hear the end of it.
Magda- Oh well.

Waiting for everyone to show up, they just sat down and talked and talked and talked. They started laughing when there was a knock on the door. It was Kate.

Kate- Hi Jinny. How are you doing?
Jinny- I'm good how are you?
Kate- Good. There is a stranger I found on my way over here that wanted to see you. *Raina came in*
Jinny- Hi Raina. It's nice to see you.
Raina- *Went over and gave her a hug* I am so glad to see you.
Jinny- What are you crying for? *Just when she said that, John Sr. and Jack walked in.

Nate- Asleep..finally! She was starting to creep me out.
Jinny- Ok I didn't expect to be telling this many people at one time but I guess I have to. Everyone, I have to have an operation. A vain popped in my stomach and if I do not have this surgery, there is a possibility I may become paralyzed. On the other hand, the surgery is very dangerous. I may go into a coma. The doctor as made me clear on that. I need eveyone's opinion on what to do. *Everyone started talking at once. Jinny couldn't understand a word any of them were saying. All of a sudden Raina started talking very loudly*
Raina- Alright now everyone, SHUT THE HELL UP!!! *Everyone was silent*
Raina- Okay. ONE at a time. John, you go first.
John Sr.- Well, Jinnygirl, I just don't understand how this happend.
Jinny- It was undetectable. It is no ones fault.
John Sr.- Well, I think you should have the operation.
Raina- Alright. Magda?
Magda- I think you definitly need to have the surgery. Your future depends on it. I need you. *Starts crying all over again*
Raina- Captain?
Kate- Go for the surgery. I took my risk at surgery and look at me now. Do it Jinny.
Raina- Nate, what do you think?
Nate- Have the operation.
Raina- Ok. Jack?
Jack- *stayed silent and then left the room. Magda ran after him*
Raina- My opinion is to have the surgery.
Jinny- Alright. I will then. The next opening they have is for tomorrow afternoon.
John Sr.- That soon?
Jinny- Yeah. So should I take it? *Everyone nodded.*
Kate- I need you back to work as soon as you can. *Giggled*
Jinny- Thanks Cap.

Magda found Jack outside. He had his head buried in his hands.

Magda- Jack, what are you doing out here?
Jack- Why her?
Magda- I don't know. I asked myself the same question. I just don't know.
Jack- It is all my fault.
Magda- How is this your fault?
Jack- If I hadn't left her in the first place and went to Tousan, she wouldn't have gone to that house by herself. I wouldn't have let her. Now that she went into that house, she is like this. *starts crying.*
Magda- It is my fault Jack. I had to talk to that person which made her go into the house by herself.

Someone had conme up behind them and started talking.

It isn't any of your faults. It's all mine.

Jinny- I love you too Dad. This is no time to get emotional though. Captain, please some in here and tell everyone to calm down.
Kate- C'mon everyone. This is Jinny we are talking about. You think one popped vain is gonna stop her. Be honest!
Magda- *laughs a little and smiles*
Jinny- Thanks Cap now will everyone stop crying? You will get ne starting. *The doctor then came in*
Doctor- I take it you told everyone?
Jinny- Yes and I have to decided to go ahead and have the operation.
Doctor- Good. I think that is the best thing. As I told you before, I ahve an opening for tomorrow afternoon. Would you like to go then?

Doctor- It all depends on how the surgery goes. If it all goes well, then you should be up and about in 3 weeks.
Jinny- *Sighs* Ok. Let's do it.
Doctor- Alright. I'll send someone up with some food. You will not be able to eat at all tomorrow so eat all you can tonight.

Kate- Well, I had better get going. I will be here tomorrow right before you go into surgery and I will be here until you get out/

Magda- I will be here tomorrow morning and I will be here the entire day. That is, if it is alright with you Captain.

When Nate and Kate got up to CD's room, the doctor was in with her. The doctor then came out.

Doctor- Mr. Basso, would you mind it terribly if I gave her ome more medication just to get through the night? I am asking you because she seems to have a BIG reaction to it as you saw. The shot we gave her before is starting to wear off and she says she is too uncomfortable to sleep so I thought I would give her some more.
Nate- *Laughs* Sure. Whatever makes her more comfortable.
Doctor- Alright. The nurse will be in to give it to her.
Nate- Thanks. *Looks at Kate* Now you are in for a treat!
Kate- Why??
Nate- Come on. *They go into CD's room* How ya doing CD?
CD- I would be a lot better if I can get some sleep.
Nate- Well, they are coming in here in a minute to give some more pain medication.
CD- Thank GOD!! Oh, hi Captain.
Kate- How are you doing?
CD- Better now that I know I am getting som more medication. *Laughs*
Nurse- Here you go. This should make you a lot more comfortable.
CD- Bring it on.
Kate- We'll wait outside. *They leave*
Nurse- They don't like needles huh?
CD- I don't know. It never bothered them before.
Nurse- Now you're done. I will send them back in here.
CD-Thanks.
Nurse- No problem. *Leaves the room* You may go back in there now.
Nate- Thank you very much.
Nurse- *laughs* You're welcome.

They walk back into the room to find that CD fell fast asleep from the miication already.

Nate- Damn, she's asleep.
Kate- Well, duh! Isn't that what the medication is suppose to do?
Nate- Last time, it made her all loopy and crazy. I wanted you to see it.
Kate- Oh Nate, wouldn't you rather be more comfortable?
Nate- I guess so.
Kate- Besides, this wouldn't be the first time I would see her loopy and crazy. *Laughs and walks out of the room*
Nate- What?! Hey Captain, come back here.

It is now the next afternoon and Jinny is about to go into surgery.

John Sr.- It's ok Jinnygirl. You are going to be fine.
Jinny- I know Dad. I love you.
John Sr.- I love you too.
Magda- Be careful okay Jin?
Jinny- I will.
Kate- I will see you when you get out.
Jinny- Alright. I..I love you Cap.
Kate- *Smiles* I love you too Jinny.
Jinny- Thanks. *Smiles then is wheeled off to surgery*

They all wait impatiently in the waiting room. The surgery took approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes. Then. they saw the doctor coming down the hallway. He didn't look happy.

John Sr.- Well?
Doctor- By the time we di the surgery, it was too late. The popped vain had already done its damage.
Kate- What are you trying to say?
Doctor- She is paralyzed from the waist down. We did the best we could. She will have to be in a wheelchair.
Magda- OH MY GOD! *Breaks down crying*
Doctor- I am so sorry. I wish I could do more.
Kate- NO YOU DONT!! YOU DONT EVEN CARE!!!!!!!!
John Sr.- Kate! I'm sorry doctor.
Doctor- It is ok. I understand how hard this must be.

Sorry guys. This has been a hectic week. But as promised, here you go. Oh, Emma, here is your Jin/Cap moment!!!


Doctor- One person may go in and sit with her until she wakes up but only one.
Kate- May I go Mr. Exstead? I would really appreciate it.
John Sr.- *Wipes a tear away* Go ahead. Tell us when she wakes up.
Kate- I will. *Starts walking towards Jinny's room*

When she got there, she was horrified. She looked so..helpless. Kate had no idea how she was going to tell her. Then she was thinking that maybe the doctor ahould tell her*

Kate- *Whispering to herself* Yeah, I'll let the doctor tell her. She will want to talk to him anyway and he knows more about it then I do. *Just then she heard some moaning coming from Jinny. She walked over towards the bed and grabbed Jinny's hand*
Jinny- *Jinny tried to talk but her voice was kind of scartchy* Cap, what are you doing here?
Kate- I came to see how you are. How ya feelin'?
Jinny- Like a truck hit me. *Giggles* Where's everyone else?
Kate- They are outside waiting. Only one person was allowed to come in here.
Jinny- Oh ok. Hey Cap, do you think you can open hat window? It is kind of hot in here.
Kate- Sure. *She walked over to open the window but it was kind of stuck. She tried to get it open and when she finally did, she found Jinny sitting up* Jinny! What are you doing?? You just got out of surgery. You shouldn't be sitting up.
Jinny- Cap, something is not right. I can't feel my legs. I can't even move them.
Kate- *Tried to think of something to tell her* Oh well, they, uh, numbed your legs up so you wouldn't feel anything from the surgery. *Kate said trying to sound believable. She wasn't a very good liar*
Jinny- You nver were a very good liar Cap. Now tell me what's going on with my legs. *Growing very worried*
Kate- Alright. *Sits own on the bed next to her* Well, when they got you into surgery, they realized that, uh, it was....it was too late Jinny.
Jinny- Too late for what?
Kat- To try and stop the vain from paralyzing you. It had already done its damage.
Jinny- What are you saying? *Jinny said as tears started to form in her eyes*
Kate- You are...paralyzed from the waist down. *Kate started crying and we all know how rare that is*
Jinny- *Stayed silent for a minute and then moved around* No! No! It's not true. See, I can walk. *She tries to get out of bed and stand up by herself*
Kate- *she just sat there and didn't stop her. She went to go get the doctor while Jinny kept trying to stand on her own. When Kate got back with the doctor, Jinny was on the floor crying* Come on Jinny. Let's get you back into bed.
Jinny- *Crying* Why? I'll be in bed for the rest of my life.
Kate- No you won't. You will be working.
Jinny- How? I'll never be able to be a cop again.
Kate- No but there are many things to do around the station. You will be in a wheelchair so it won't be that bad.
Jinny- *Looks over at the doctor* Will I ever be ble to walk again?
Doctor- Well, there are always new experiments coming up but as of now...I would say probably not. I'm sorry.
Jinny- So am I.
Kate- *Goes over to Jinny* It's ok Jin. Everything will be okay.
Jinny- HOW?! I am nothing but a cripple.

Nate- Because I knew that it was best for you and for the baby. Also, because you so crazy last night, I knew that it was best.
CD- I was not crazy.
Nate- Uh, yes you were. You were doing the hokey pokey and hings like that.
CD- I think you are just trying to embarass me. *Laughs* Where have you been all morning? I was asking for you but the doctor didn't know where you were.
Nate- I was with Jinny's family.
CD- Why? Nothing is wrong is there?
Nate- Well, she had to have surgery this morning and it didint go very well.
CD- Why? What happend? Why did she have to have surgery.

Nate- *He explained everything to CD.* And now she will have to be in a wheelchair.
CD- Oh my God. How did she take it?
Nate- I don't know. I came up here when the doctor came out and told us. Kate is in there with her now.
CD- I want to go see her. *Gets up and goes to the elevator*
Nate- Are you sure? Maybe you should go home and rest. We can come back tomorrow.
CD- No. I need to go see her now.

They went down to the floor that Jinny's room is on. When they got there, Kate was talking to the doctor outside of the room. CD went up to Kate.

Kate- CD, how are you feeling? *Hugs her*
CD- I'm fine. How's Jinny?
Kate- Devistated but I think she will be ok.
CD- Can I see her?
Kate- Sure. *Knocks on the door* Hey Jin, there's someone here to see you.
Jinny- CD, hey. Come on in.
CD- Thanks. *Shuts the door* How are you doing?
Jinny- As good as I can be. How are you?
CD- I'm fine. I'm sorry I wasn't here yesterday.
Jinny- They told me what happend. I guess congratulations are in order.

Jinny had a rough night but she went home the next day. Tomorrow finally came. She woke up around 12:00PM.

Kate- I don't like the sound of that.

Jinny- I don't see any reason to continue with the physical therapy...

Jinny- It feels good to be back home.

Meanwhile, at the Division, Kate, Raina, and Nate we still on the search for that kidnapped baby. He was now wanted for attempted murder of a police officer. He didnt want ransom and from the look of the bedroom the baby was in when Jinny went to his house, there was very nice decorated nursery so they are starting to think he wantd to keep the baby as his own. Nate came into Kate's office with a jiucy tip. They try not to talk about the case around CD because it involved a baby and in her condition, they didn't to upset her.

Nate- Captain, we got something on the baby. It seems the mailman's wife comitted suicide abou a year ago. When they did the autopsy, they found out she was abut 16 weeks pregnant.
Kate- Well that explains why he might have wanted to keep the baby to raise as his own. I don't know what we are missing. We can't see to catch ths guy.
Nate- We'll catch him Captain.
Kate-I hope so. *Gets up and looks out her window to CD* Is CD okay?
Nate- She's doing fine. Why?
Kate- She looks so pale right now.
Nate- *Looks out at the window next to Kate. Then he sees CD suddenly hlod onto Raina's arm and looing like she was in a lot of pain so he bolts out of Kates office and rushes over to CD*

Kate- Well that explains why he might have wanted to keep the baby to raise as his own. I don't know what we are missing. We can't see to catch ths guy.

Kate-I hope so. *Gets up and looks out her window to CD* Is CD okay?
Nate- She's doing fine. Why?
Kate- She looks so pale right now.
Nate- *Looks out at the window next to Kate. Then he sees CD suddenly hlod onto Raina's arm and looing like she was in a lot of pain so he bolts out of Kates office and rushes over to CD*

CD- I am fine Nate. Just a little pain is all. *Closed her eyes looking like she was in even more pain*
Nate- I think I should take you to the hospital.
CD- I told you I am fine.

CD- I have to help out with the cases. I need to be here. I willl go crazy at home alone doing nothing.

Magda was at the doctors office to find out if the baby was okay and the sex hopefully. Jinny was at Kate's house waiting for Magda to get done with her appointment an d pick her up to go to her house to decorate. Meanwhile, at the doctor's office....

Nurse- So how far long are you?
Magda- *Got annoyed* I don't know. That is why I am here!!
Nurse- Ok...
Magda- I'm sorry it's just..
Nurse- Moodswings I know. I get it all the time. The doctor will be right in.
Magda- Alright.

About 10 minutes later, the doctor came in.

Dr. Atkinson- Hi I am sorry I took so long. Soo many patients.
Magda- That's ok.
Dr. Atkinson- So how are you feeling?
Magda- I am good. The nausea has passed thank goodness.
Dr. Atkinson- That is good. Why don't we do an ultrasound and see how your baby is doing. I think we might even be able to tell the sex.
Magda- *Excited* Great!
Dr. Atkinson- *Got the machine ready* Ok let's take a look. I would say you are about 20 weeks...and it looks like I will be able tot ell you the sex. You are sure you want to know?
Magda- Positive.
Dr. Atkinson- You are having a baby boy.
Magda- *Smiles* Thank you Doctor. Do you know when the baby will be due?
Dr. Atkinson- The baby will be due around July baby.
Magda- Thank you soo much doctor.

She got dressed and drove over to Kate's house. All the way over there she was thinking to herself '20 weeks? It can't be Casey's baby then. Who's is it!?

Jinny- I'm glad you are here. I was getting worried.
Magda- Let me help you in. Then we got to go to 'Lowes'.
Jinny- For what?
Magda- It is the only place you can find good robins egg blue paint. *Smiled*
Jinny- Oh my God it's a boy?
Magda- Yep!
Jinny- *Wheeled over to her and hugged her* I am soo happy for you.
Magda- Thank you. Now let's go get that paint. We can also see if they have any good furniture there.
Jinny- Sounds like a plan.

Meanwhile, Nate was bugging the hell out of CD.

Nate- Please CD? For me?
CD- No I am not going. I told you I am fine.
Nate- But you're not. I saw how much pain you were in.
CD- I don't need to go to Dr. Atkinson's okay?
Nate- I am not going to stop asking you until you go.
CD- You will give up eventually.
Nate- Wanna try me?
CD- Alright damnit I will go.
Nate- Thank you.
CD- She might not be able to see me today though. There is more than just one pregnant woman in the world.
Nate- Oh no worries. I called as soon as we got home. We have a 2:00 appointment and it is already 1:30 so we should get going.
CD- Wait a minute, how did you know I would give in?
Nate- Because I can be annoying when I want to be.
CD- You want to be annyoing all the time? *Grinned*
Nate- Hey!
CD- Hey is for horses.
Nate- STOP!
CD- ..is the opposite of go.

At Dr. Atkinsons, a nurse had just taken them to an examining room.

Nurse- So how far along are you?
CD- How the hell am I supposed to know!? That is what I am here for!
Nurse- Ok...
CD- I'm sorry. It's just...
Nurse- The moodswings? Yeah I know... The doctor will be in shortly. *Smiles then leaves*

10 minutes later, Dr. Atkinson comes in.

Dr. Atkinsom- Hi CD..Nate. Sorry I took so long. So what seems to be the problem.

Nate- Well she was stooping over today at work in pain so I don't think she is feeling well. Her back has been hurting her and..
Dr. Atkinson- I see. Nate could you step outside just for a minute. I will call you back in before we do anything I promise.
Nate- Alright. I will be right outside if you need anything. *LEaves the room*
Dr. Atkinson- Now, what are your symptoms?
CD- Thank you. Well I did have a little pain today and my back has been hurting me. The nausea medication you gave me is working so there is no nausea.
Dr. Atkinson- When you had this pain, how bad was it? Be honest. On a scale from 1-10 how bad was it 10 being the worst.
CD- It was about a 6.
Dr. Atkinson- Where were you when you got the pain?
CD- Somewhere.
Dr. Atkinson- Candace DeLorenzo were you at work?
CD- A little.....
Dr. Atkinson- Alright CD, no work till you have the baby.
CD- But doctor--
Dr. Atkinson- No buts!
CD- *Pouted* Fine.
Dr. Atkinson- CD promise me. I don't want you losing this baby.
CD- Alright fine I promise.
Dr. Atkinson- Okay. *Goes to door* Nate you can come back in. Now we are going to do an ultrasound.
CD- Ok.
Dr. Atkinson- *Gets machine ready* Alright..you are 15 weeks pregnant. Right now I cannot tell the sex. It is too early.
CD- Oh I was hoping to find out.

Jinny and Magda have been in 'Lowes' for about an hour now. Magda can't decide what she wants in the baby's room. Well actually she was choosing too many things and that was the problem.
Jinny- We have got to go soon. Ben will be home from school so just pick up the paint today. I think that robins egg blue is the best.
Magda- Ok I like that too.

After they paid for the paint and they were on their way home, Magda decided to tell Jinny what she found out.
Magda- Hey Jin I got a big problem.
Jinny- What is it?
Magda- Well, the Doctor told me I was 20 week pregnant and well I um welll its just that well--
Jinny- Would you please tell me!?
Magda- It isn't Casey's baby.
Jinny- It isn't?
Magda- No I slept with him when you kicked the drugs..it is either Gabe's or Jonah's.
Jinny- Well Gabe won't matter whose it is. Should you tell Jonah?
Magda- No way. I haven't spoken to him in a while.
Jinny- So you are just going to keep it from him?
Magda- Well I am not positive that it is his. It could be Gabes.
Jinny- I guess we will never know.

Nate was still asking CD all of these questions about keeping the baby.
Nate- Just answer my question. Why do we have to leave our baby?
CD- Lots of reasons. I know I will never be a good mother. I al--

CD- Listen, my mom's mother was a jerk to and ran out on my mother and her brothers and sisters, my mother rain out on me and treated me like crap. What if it is in our blood or something?

Three months passed and everything was pretty much the same. Jinny was living with Kate but only for three more days and then she is moving back in her apartment. Magda was 8 months pregnant and Jonah agreed to pay child support but did ot want visitation. CD was about 7 months pregnant and of course Nate was still bugging her to keep the baby but of course she said no.
It is now a Monday afternoon at 12:00PM and Nate came home for lunch and walked in to find CD sitting with another man and woman.

Nate- Hello. I don't believe we've met.
CD- No you haven't. Dave and Claire McDavis, this Nathan Basso my boyfriend and the baby's father.
Claire- Hi Nathan it is nice to meet you.
Nate- Likewise. May I ask why you all are here.
Dave- We are here to discuss adopting your baby.

Not much but it's a little..enjoy:)

Three months passed and everything was pretty much the same. Jinny was living with Kate but only for three more days and then she is moving back in her apartment. Magda was 8 months pregnant and Jonah agreed to pay child support but did ot want visitation. CD was about 7 months pregnant and of course Nate was still bugging her to keep the baby but of course she said no.
It is now a Monday afternoon at 12:00PM and Nate came home for lunch and walked in to find CD sitting with another man and woman.

Nate- Hello. I don't believe we've met.
CD- No you haven't. Dave and Claire McDavis, this Nathan Basso my boyfriend and the baby's father.
Claire- Hi Nathan it is nice to meet you.
Nate- Likewise. May I ask why you all are here.
Dave- We are here to discuss adopting your baby.

Nate- What?!?
CD- Yes dear you remember. I told you I was having people over today.
Nate- But you didn't tell me it was to give away our baby!!
Claire- I think we should be going.
Dave- Yes, you can call and let us know Candace.
CD- No here sign the papers now please.
Nate- CD--
CD- Nate please. Here are the papers.
Dave- *Puts his signature*
Claire- *Puts her signature* Thank you so much. We were never able to have children of our own. Now we have one.
CD- Thank YOU. Please drop by again and I will call you the minute they come.
Claire- *Hugs CD* Thank you soo much. You don't know what this means to me. *They leave*
CD- Nate, I don't want to hear it.
Nate- Don't want to hear what? That you have just given away your child??
CD- You make it seem like I wanted to do this because I don't care!! *Starts screaming* I DO CARE! I-- *Pauses*
Nate- CD?
CD- I think my water just broke.

Meanwhile, Magda and Jinny were at home sitting down watching television.

Magda- I think I will get another bag of cookies.
Jinny- Are you sure? That's your fifth bag today!
Magda- Well this little guy has got to eat. *Tries to get up* Uh, I can't get up.
Jinny- Serves you right. It's from all those cookies. *Laughs*
Magda- Papi, help your mother up please?
Ben- That's the third time today I have had to help you up. I don't think you should even bother sitting down anymore.
Jinny- *Laughs* *Phone rings*
Magda- I'll get it. *Picks up phone* Hello? Hi Nate. Yeah.. oh my gosh. We will be right there. *Hangs up*
Ben- What's going on Mommy?
Magda- Aunt CD is having her baby. We have to go to the hospital would you like to come with us?
Ben- To see a baby I will go anywhere! Is it a boy?
Magda- We don't know. They chose not to find out.
Ben- Well, I'm glad your having a boy.
Magda- *Laughs*

Nate- I know but I still love you.
CD- GO LOVE A GIRRAFFE I STILL HATE YOU!! *Contraction ends*
Ok it's over.
Nate- *Wipes sweat off his forhead* I will be right back.
CD- Where are you going???
Nate- To let everyone know that it may take a while.
CD- Fine. Leave me.
Nate- :rolleyes: *Leaves room*

Out in the waiting room, Nate had just came out.

Kate- How is she?
Nate- *Holds hand* She's strong that for sure.
Magda- *Sits down* My back is killing me.
Kate- Maybe your in labor too.
Magda- No. Only my back really hurts.
Jinny- No my dad mentioned when my mom had me, the way she was able to tell she was in labor was back pains. It could be true.
Kate- You should probably see a doctor.
Magda- No, I'm fine. It just hurts A LOT!!
Kate- *Gets up and helps Magda out of her chair* We are going to see a doctor.
Magda- No I'm fi--
Kate- That's an order Inspector!!
Magda- Yes Captain.

Kate came back out to the waiting area and waited for Magda to come back out. 10 minutes later, the doctor came out.

Doctor- Who is here with Magda Ramirez?
Everyone- I am!
Doctor- Ok well she is indeed in labor.
Jinny- Oh my God..both of them at the same time??

Dr. Atkinson- Well let's see how you are progressing. *Checks her* You are about 8 cm.
Magda- What? You got to be kidding me?
Dr. Atkinson- 8 cm. How long have you had back pain?
Magda- For the last 3 months.
Dr. Atkinson- I mean really painful back pains.
Magda- Since early this morning.
Dr. Atkinson- You were probably having contractions all day. A few more hours and you should be ready to deliver. Will there be anyone in there with you?

Magda- Yes I want my friend Jinny in there with me. *Looks at Jinny* If you want to be in there that is.

It hasn't even been 20 minutes and CD has changed her mind.

CD- Nate, now that I think about it *pauses to breathe* I want a different doctor. I can't handle this anymore.
Nate- Are you sure?
CD- YES! *Just then Dr. Atkinson came in.
Dr. Atkinson- Hi CD. Are you ready to go?
CD- What about Magda?
Dr. Atkinson- Well I asked her permission to get another doctor to deliver her baby because I knew you wanted me and I knew I was going to be a while in there. Are you ready?

In the delivery room, the nurses got CD all ready to go. She had been pushing for 30 minutes by now.

Dr. Atkinson- Ok stop pushing.
CD- No I want it out!
Nurse- Why is she bleeding??
CD- BLEEDING???
Dr. Atkinson- *Gave her a glare* Nothing to worry about. *Starts bleeding all over* Oh my God. Uh, CD we need to get oy uinto an O.R.

I kind of know what you mean, only in reverse. I don't watch the fourth season because it depresses me terribly that CD isn't there. I actually have to remind myself that she's gone, because since I'm so involved in fanfic and I only watch the first three seasons, I feel like she's still there. I prefer living in my little fantasy world, actually. :) It's nice there. ;)

Dr. Atkinson- Nothing to worry about. Just because the baby is early and you are bleeding a little bit, a c-section might be the easier and safer way to deliver the baby.
CD- What ever you have to do to save the baby.
Nate- *Shocked to hear her say that knowing she wants to give the baby up*

Dr. Jacobs- Ok Magda one more push should do it.
Magda- Finally!! *Pushes with all her might*
Dr. Jacobs- Okay it's out.
Jinny- *Walks over to the baby* Mag, you have a hansome baby boy.
Magda- Is he okay?
Jinny- He's perfect.

One CD was all settled in an O.R. they started the C-Section right away. They gave her an epidural so she would be awake. Nate was right there by her side telling CD everything that was going on.

CD- Nate I am soo scared.
Nate- I know sweetie. It will be over soon.
Dr. Atkinson- Ok you will feel a little pressure while we are doing this but we can have the baby out within a minute. Are you okay?
CD- Just ducky.
Nate- Just relax.
Dr. Atkinson- Looks like a girl.
CD- Is out?
Dr. Atkinson- She's..out.
CD- She's not crying.

Nate- I would love to. *Walks over and cuts her ambilical cord*

About 30 minutes later Kate, Raina, and Ben went into Magda's hospital room. Raina and Ben ran over to Magda but when Kate saw something in the room she thought she would never see again, she was crying.
Jinny- *Smiled* What's the matter Captian?
Kate- Get over here!! *Laughs and hugs her* Why didn't you tell me?
Jinny- It was supposed to be a surprise.
Magda- We thought today was a better day than any.
Raina- What do you mean? What's going on?
Ben- Oh my Gosh! Jinny's walking!!
Kate- I am so happy Jin. *Hugs her* Thank you. I am soo proud of you.
Jinny- Really?

CD was now in her room and Nate came in after she had gotten all settled.
Nate- Sweetie I know it hasn't been long since you had her but would you like me to call the people adopting her.
CD- Yes I would. I would like you to give them a message.
Nate- What's that?
CD- Well first get the nurse for me.
Nate- Ok. *He said very onfused* Here she is.
CD- *Motions for her to come closer so she can whisper something to her*
Nurse- All right I will be back in a few minutes. *Leaves*
Nate- What is going on CD?
CD- Just wait. *A few minutes later the Nurse comes back with a baby* You can tell them that I have decided to.. *Her baby is handed to her* keep Stella Basso.

CD was now in her room and Nate came in after she had gotten all settled.
Nate- Sweetie I know it hasn't been long since you had her but would you like me to call the people adopting her.
CD- Yes I would. I would like you to give them a message.
Nate- What's that?
CD- You can tell them that I have decided to.. *Her baby is handed to her* keep Stella Basso.

Nate- You want to keep her?
CD- Is that a problem?
Nate- No! No no no I am just..stunned.
CD- Well, I know I said I didn't want to keep her but once she was born, everything changed. I knew she was mine and I just can't give her up. *Looked at her baby as she started to make cooing noises* Isn't she so pretty?
Nate- She's beautiful. Stella did you say?
CD- Yes. I have always loved that name. You don't mind do you?
Natee- No I think the name Stella is just perfect. *There was a knock at the door*
CD- Come in. *Raina came in*
Raina- Hi. Can I come in?
CD- Sure Raina. Come and look at Stella.
Raina- Oh she is beautiful. She's so tiny.
CD- Thank god. I wouldn't want her to be bigger. *Laughs* Where is Jinny and Kate?
Raina- They are in the hall talking.

Jinny- I have been going to physical therapy for the past few months and the doctor has been working with me to help me walk again. I was one of the lucky ones and got the use of my legs again.
Kate- I still wish you would have told me.
Jinny- I wanted it to be a surprise. Did it work? *Laughs*
Kate- I should say so. Thanks.
Jinny- For what?
Kate- For not being you stubborn self. Normally you would not have gone to therapy and spend the rest of your life feeling sorry for yourself.
Jinny- I know but sitting around feeling sorry for myself isn't going to help me regain the use of my legs.
Kate- Well, Im glad you figured that out. I'm just..so happy. Now you can come back on the force.
Jinny- Well not exactly.
Kate- What do you mean?
Jinny- I can not come back on the force until we discuss a raise.

Jinny- *Laughs* Yes I am walking. How? Well with my legs. When? About 3 weeks now.
CD- I didn't know..
Jinny- No one did. Oh CD she's gorgeous.
CD- Her name is Stella. Stella Basso.

Nate went to the empty bed in the next room to call the McDavis'.

Claire- Hello?
Nate- Hello. Is this Claire McDavis?
Claire- Yes it is. Who is this?
Nate- I am Nathan Basso. I am calling in regards to Candace DeLorenzo. You were interested in adopting our baby I believe.
Claire- Yes I am. Very much. We were never able to have children and when we signed those papers I was so thrilled and have been doing nothing but dreaming about what the baby was going to look like.
Nate- Well she was born this morning.
Claire- Oh my. That is very premature. Is it all right?
Nate- Yes. It was a girl.
Claire- *Talks to Dave standing next to her* It's a girl.
Nate- I am afraid I have some bad news however.
Claire- Oh no. Is she sick?
Nate- No. I am afraid Candace has changed her mind. She doesn't want to give her baby up.

wow, that's a tough one :( . i feel so sorry for both of them! i mean, looking at that other couple breaks my heart b/c she can't ever have children and it WAS a deal. i mean, my mom was told she could never have kids, so they looked into the adoption process and i couldn't imagine the pain and heartache of getting your hopes up and then someone coming back and saying, j/j we're keeping the baby. On the other hand, I don't want CD and Nate to lose their baby! LOL, now that I'm arguing w/ MYSELF, I'll just wait for the next post, hehe, how does THAT sound?! :crazy:

Nate was devistated. He didn't know how to tell CD. He went back to CD's room. Jinny, Raina, and Kate were there along with Magda in a wheelchair with her two sons, Ben and Aidan.

CD- So now you are as good as new?
Jinny- Yep.
CD- Hi Nate. Did you talk to them.
Nate- Yeah. We need to talk about that.
CD- Go ahead.
Nate- Well they are coming by tomorrow afternoon.
CD- What for?
Nate- To pick up the baby.
CD- What are you talking about? I chose to keep her and in my arms is where she's staying.
Nate- Well, they said they signed papers.
CD- Oh my God they did. Now what do I do.
Teddy- You would probably talk to me. *He said entering*
Jinny- Teddy?
Teddy- Yeah that's my name. How soon we forget. I heard at the Division we had quite a few deliveries so I thought I would drop by to see how everyone was doing.
CD- As a matter of fact we need your help.
Teddy- What do you need?
CD- Well I was going to put my baby up for adoption but..
Teddy- You decided not to but you and the adoptive parents have all ready signed papers and they claim the baby is theirs right?
CD- How'd you know?
Teddy- Lucky guess. Not to mention I went to law school and see this everyday. Fact is they can't take your baby. You have 6 months to change your mind.
CD- Oh I forgot about that.
Teddy- So I will go to a judge and get a court order to forbid them to take the child.
CD- Thank you soo much!
Teddy- You're welcome.

The next day, Dave called CD.

CD- Hello?
Dave- Candace, it's Dave.
CD- What do you want?
Dave- Just wanted to tell you we found another baby so we won't be taking yours. Sorry.

I am so happy. I knew that there was something that could be done! I know that in my state you can take your baby back until the adoption is final or something like that. That was so wonderful, Kelly! :) And thanks for posting. I know that you've had a rough week, so just take care of yourself. :)

A few days later CD got to take Stella home and Magda got to take Aidan home. At Magda's house, Magda was feeding (breastfeeding) Aidan. Then Ben walked in.

Ben- Mommy!!!
Magda- *Jumped* What??
Ben- The baby is eating you!!!
Magda- *Had to laugh*

Meanwhile, Jinny was in another room contemplating calling him. She decided to go for it.

Jinny- *Dialed the number*Hi. It's Jinny. Im fine. I was wondering if you would like to join me for lunch. Great! The Anchorside, 12:00? I'll be there. Bye. *hung up*

At CD's house, they are about to change her.

CD- Well I don't know how to do it.
Nate- Oh and you think I do??
CD- Alright let's do it together.
Nate- Ok first we get wipes and clean it off her.
CD- Uh, don't you think we should take the diaper off first?
Nate- See you know how to do it!
CD- * :rolleyes: * That's called common sense.

After they went through the whole pack of diapers, they had one left.

CD- This is the last diaper we have we have to get it on her. *Knock at the door* Come in.
Kate- Hi. I came to see how you're doing.
Nate- Ah, I have a great idea how to get this on. *Gets tape and wraps it around the diaper*
CD- You can't wrap the baby in tape!! Captain help us!
Kate- *Laughs* Luckily I brough these! *Holds up a pack of diapers* Why don't you two go out for lunch. I will watch Stella and I will change her diaper.
CD- Well I don't know if I could leave her.
Kate- It's only for an hour. Just grab a quick lunch and come back.
Nate- Yes there is something I need to talk to you about anyway.
CD- Okay. *Walks over to Stella* You be good. Bye sweetie.

Magda- *Had to laugh* He isn't eating me. He is hungry and I am feeding him.
Ben- How do you do that?
Magda- Uh, I'll tell you when your 21 ok?
Ben- Ok. When will he be able to play baseball.
Magda- Well he is only 3 days old. *Smiles*

Meanwhile, Jinny is sitting in the Anchorside waiting for him to join her for lunch. Someone came up from behind her.

Teddy- I was hoping you would call. I didn't realize how much I missed you until I saw you in that hospital room.
Jinny- I know what you mean.
Teddy- Not like that matters anymore.
Jinny- What do you mean?
Teddy- Well I heard a while ago you were back with your ex husband.
Jinny- Who told you that? Oh Magda. Well I was but we just weren't right for each other so I am not with him anymore.
Teddy- *Excited* Oh! I mean Im sorry to hear that.

Just then CD and Nate walked in and saw Jinny just not Teddy.

CD- Jinny! Hi.
Jinny- Hey CD. How's Stella?
CD- Kate is watching her while we grab some lunch. Hi Teddy.
Teddy- Hello CD. I hope those people haven't given you more trouble about Stella.
CD- No they didn't want her anymore so that's done with, thank God.
Teddy- Good.
Jinny- Hey why don't we all go sit at that table over there.
CD- Sure come on.

They all sat down and Teddy and Jinny had talked and Teddy realized just how much he loved her. Before they knew it they had been there for over an hour.

CD- Well that was a great lunch. We need to get going.
Nate- There's no rush. Besides I need to ask you something.
CD- Yes?
Teddy- *Talking to Jinny* I know it is kind of fast but I love you soo much. I almost died when I heard you got married and you have no idea how happy I was when you said you weren't with him anymore.
Jinny- I had no idea you felt this way. Well I guess I always knew but I wasn't expecting it because...I feel exactly the same way.
Teddy- You do?
Jinny- Absolutely.
Nate- *Talking to CD* I have always loved you and I can't imagine my life without you or Stella. I need to ask you a question and I hope I get the answer I am looking for.
CD- What is it.
Nate- *Gets down on one knee*
Teddy- *Gets down on one knee as well*

Teddy- Jinny Exstead...
Nate & Teddy at the same time- Will you marry me?
