I know this is my third thread, but hey, I thought why not??
I hope you guys enjoy this one. This one starts where Lifetime left off.

By now, Kate was all settled into her office. She threw away Spivey's name plate and put her own back. Then she called Raina.

"Hello?
"Raina, it's the Captain."
"Hi Captain. What do you need?"
"I need you to stop by Liz's apartment."
"I have a date tonight. Well, it's not really a date, it's kinda like...
"Raina??"
"Sorry. I will stop by before I go. Why do I need to go there anyway?"
"I just need you to bring Liz in for some questioning."
"Alright. See you later."
"Thanks Raina!"

Raina knocks on Liz's door. She is all dressed up. No one is answering the door. But knowing Raina, that wouldn't stop her from getting inside. But then she heard moaning coming from inside. She knew it wasn't good.

Meanwhile, Nate it inside the restaraunt waiting and waiting. He starts talking to himself.

"Maybe I drove her away? Were the kisses in the park too much. It is probably best. If we got involved, we wouldn't be able to be partners."

Raina then started baging on the door even harder. Then she heard a familiar vioce say...

"Help. Help...me."

Raina knew it was someone she knew but couldn't point it out. So she busted down the door and saw CD laying there.

"CD. Hold on. I'll get help."

She talked on her cell phone and then ripped off the bottom a little part of her dress to help stop the bleeding. Raina then started talking to her.

"CD. Stay with me. Help is coming."

"Do...do I know you??

Just then, the paramedics came in.

"San Francisco Medic Department."
"Her name is Candace DeLorenzo. She is an Inspecor with the SFPD. She has a pulse. She has one gunshot wound to the abdomen."
"We need to get her out of here right now and get her to County General. I'm sorry miss. Are you family?"
"No but her family can't be here."
"Then she will have to go alone."
"God damnit, I will be going with her. Now I'm with the SFPD. I'm going!"
"I don't have time to argue with you. I have to try to save her life."

After Nate waited for three hours in the restaraunt, they told him he had to leave. So he went back to his apartment. He just got in and went straight to his bedroom.

"What did I do wrong? Maybe I should call her and ask her why she didn't show up."

(ring ring ring: Hi. You have reached CD. I'm sorry I'm not at home right now but if you leave a message, I will get right back to you. Thanks!! BEEP)

"CD. It's Nate. I waited for you at the restaraunt. I guess you did change your mind. Well, we could just forget that those kisses we shared never happend. If you still want to be with me, please call me. Bye."

"I guess she doesn't want to talk to me. I think I'll go take a shower."

While he is in the shower, the Captain calls.

"Nate, it's the Captain. I'm sorry to have to tell you this but CD has been shot at Liz Reux's apartment. She is at County General. I'm not there but Raina is and Magda might come. If you need to talk, call me please. Bye."

"Was that the phone. No, it was probably the TV."

At the hospital, Raina, Magda, and Kate are in the waiting room."

"I wonder where Jinny is. Where you able to get a hold of her on your cell phone Magda?"

"No. I don't know where she is. It's 2:30AM."

Magda's cell phone rings.

"Inspector Ramirez?"
"Inspector Ramirez? This is Inspector Exstead speaking!!" (laughs)
"Jinny? Where are you?"
"Where am I?? Where are you?" (laughs again)
"Where are you??"
"Me? Well, I'm at a place called...Anchorside. Where are you??"
"I'm on my way to get you. Stay there."
"Oh, I won't move an inch!!"

At the Anchorside, Magda walked in and saw Jinny.

"Jinny?"
"Hiya! Hey Shawn, this is my partner."
"I know who Shawn is Jin. You are not supposed to be drinking Jinny."
"And you're not supposed to be having an affair but you do it anyway!!! I need another drink!"
"No you don't. You have had quite enough. Thanks Shawn."
"Anytime."
"Yeah, thanks alot Shawn. I'll thank you even more if you give me one more drink!!!"
"I'm taking you home now Jinny."
"I'll take me home."
"Now, Jin.."
"Let go of me!"
"C'mon, we're going home."
"Yes, Mommy. Bye everyone!!"

Jinny passed out in the car so Magda let her stay at er house. Meanwhile, the doctor has just come out to talk to everyone about CD.

"Candace DeLorenzo?"
"I'm her Captain. Is she alright?"
"We got the bullet in time but there was some damage."
"What?"
"She is having some memory loss."
"I'm her partner. Can I see her?"
"Sure. But one at a time. She just woke up."

In CD's room, Nate came rushing. Everyone thought that he should go first.

"CD. It's me. It's Nate.
"Nate? I'm sorry, I don't remember."

Even though no one replied, I'm going to continue anyway!!!!! realized that I forgot to have Nate rushing into the hospital. So let's pretend that he did before the Doctor came out and spoke of her memory loss. Again, sorry for the mistake. Here is a nice long one.

"CD, you have to remember me. We were supposed to meet for dinner tonight, but you got shot."
"I what?"
"You got shot."
"By who?"
"By Elizabeth Reux."
"Who was she?"
"She was a US Marshall. Don't you remember that?"
"I know my is CD, I know where I live, and..and.."

Then the doctor comes in.

"Hello. How are we feeling?"
"Doctor, she doesn't remember me."
"From the test that I have run, it seems to me that she only has trouble remembering anything recent. Maybe in the last two weeks or so. This is a very uncommon memeory loss but it will return. It is just hard to say when. She may not remember some people because of all she has been through but people she should remember in a day or so. When the others come in, she may not remember them either."
"Thank you."
"I wish I could have done more."
"I will send someone else in."

As Nate walked out, he was thinking to himself, 'How could she not remember?? If she forgot the last two weeks, she must have forgotten the kiss. I guess it just wasn't meant to be.'

"Someone else can go in now."
"How is she?"
"She doesn't remember people right now. She will start remembering people in a day or so."
"Well, that's good to know. Will she remember any of the cases I assigned to her?"
"She won't remember any that have happend in the last two weeks or so."
"Well, that's not that bad. Raina went to get some coffee and Magda left so I guess I'll go in."
"Alright Cap."

When Captain left, Nate just started crying. He couldn't stop.

"Are you alright?"
"Raina, how long have you been there?"
"Long enough to see you crying. What's wrong?"
"What's wrong??"
"You wouldn't be as upset. Listen Nate, I know what has been going on."
"You do??"
"Yes. I am not blind!"
"Well, how much do you know?"
"I know you guys were kissing in the hospital. I saw you."
"I..we.."
"No need to explain."
"The reason I am upset is because CD doesn't remember things passed two weeks ago. She doesn't even remember the kiss."
"I'm sorry Nate. I know how hard this must be for you."
"Yeah well, I guess it just wasn't meant to be."
"Of course it was. Nate, the doctor said she will get her memory back. She will remember you."
"But that could take a long time."
"With true love, you shouldn't mind the waiting."

Nate realized, she was right. I shouldn't give up hope. CD will remember him. He won't give up.

"Thanks Raina. You have been a great help!"
"Sure. Anytime you need to talk, you know you can talk to me right?"
"Yeah, I do."

It is now the next morning at Magda's house. Jinny is still passed out on the couch and Magda is trying to wake her up.

"Wake up sleepy head."
"Wha...where..."
"You're at my house."
"What am I doing here?"
"You passed out last night. Do you remember anything at all?"
"Well, I remember after my therapy appointment, I met this guy in the doctor's office and he wanted to take me to dinner. I didn't have anything to do so I thought 'what the hell'. So, he gave me this drink and he said it was non alcoholic and...oh my god."
"It was alcoholic Jin."
"How did you know where I was?"
"You called me at the hospital."
"I didn't say anything bad. Did I?"
"Oh, you said quite enough, thank you."
"What did I say?"
"Oh, besides telling everyone I was having an affair, nothing."
"Oh Mag, I am so sorry. I didn't know I.."
"I know."
"Wait. What were you doing at the hospital?"
"CD was shot last night."
"What??"
"She was shot by the Mashall Liz Reux."
"But she..she semed so nice."
"Yeah."
"By the way, the Captain knows."
"What? How?"
"When you called me last night, I was in the waiting room with her. She was able to tell something was up."
"Great. I'm in for it now. Where's Gabe?"
"He is gone on another trip and Ben was at a friends house so nobody saw you."
"Thank God."

After she got cleaned up and sobered up, they both went to work.

"Jinny? In my office."
"We were just about to..."
"NOW!"
"Sheesh, alright."
"Have a seat."
"So, what did you do last night?"
"Oh, I just uh went out with a friend for dinner?"
"Have too much wine with your dinner?"
"Look Cap.."
"Jinny, I trusted you. You told me you were going to your meetings adn staying off of the booze. I really hate to do this but I have to."
"DO WHAT??"

Jinny stormed out of the office, grabbed her jacket off of her chair and went to the locker room. Magda, confused, saw Captain in her office looking very upset. So Magda ran after Jinny and went into the locker room.

"Jinny, what happend?"
"I've been suspended."
"For what?"
"Apparently, Captain has let me off the hook too many times so I have been suspended for two weeks."
"Oh, Jin. I'm sorry. At least it's only for two weeks."
"No, it's not."
"What do you mean?"
"I'm sick and tired of being judged for my past. I quit!"
"No, Jinny. You can't. You're my partner."
"I'm sorry, Mag. I'm doing what I have to. I'll see you later."

After watching Jinny walk out, Magda ran right in to the Captain's office.

"What the hell was that all about?"
"I did what I had to do Magda."
"I thought you told me it was off the record. You lied to me."
"If you think I did, then I'm sorry."
"Do you even know why she was drinking."
"I really don't.."
"The guy she was having dinner with gave her a drink and told her it was a non alcoholic drink. It was full of alcohol. It wasn't her fault."
"Magda, I didn't know. I.."
"She quit, by the way."
"What?"
"She quit. Now I don't have a partner."

Meanwhile, back at the hospital, Nate had spent the whole night there and fell asleep in the chair right next to her. CD tapped him on the shoulder.

"Nate? Nate, wake up."
"CD? You know who I am?"
"Of course I do. Where am I?"
"You are in the hospital. You have been shot."
"Shot? How? When?"
"Calm down. You are having some memeory loss."
"Memory loss. From the shooting?"
"Yes. CD, what is the last thing you remember?"
"Uh, I remember Kate being in sugery. But that is the last thing I remember."
"You don't remember when she got out of surgery?"
"Yes, yes I do. You had broken up with Lily and we shared a kiss."
"YES! Yes, you remember!!"
"But I don't remember quite frankly if we, you know, let it continue."
"Oh, CD!"

He kissed her for, to be frank, a long time.

"I guess we let it continue huh?"
"You bet your life on it!"
"Inspectors? Am I interupting something??"

When Magda stormed out of Kate's office, Kate made a phone call.

"Hello? This is Captain Kate McCafferty from the San Fransisco Police Department. How are you? Good. It's about Jinny. No, she's fine. Can you get her to go over your house tonight with me there. I need to talk to her but she won't meet with me. You'll find out tonight. Thanks again. See you later.

At around 9:00, Jinny showed up at her father's house. John told her he had to talk to her about something important.

"Hi Dad. How are you?"
"I'm fine. You can come out now."
"What?"
"Hi Jinny."
"What the hell are you doing here??"

Back at Jinny's house...

"I was an alcoholic too."
"You were??"
"When I was very young. It was back in the day when it didn't matter how young you were."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I didn't think it was right. That is why during your intervention, I knew how sick you were. I don't want you to quit your job Jinny and considering the circumstances, I'm not even suspending you."
"Your not?"
"No. You are a great cop Jinny. I can't afford to lose you."
"Thanks Cap."
"You're welcome." (they hug)
"But Jinny, probably best not to tell anyone about this conversation. Especially about that hug!"
"I wouldn't have it any other way."

The next day, back at The Division, Jinny had just walked into work.

"Jinny, you're back!"
"Hi Mag."
"I thought you were going to quit."
"Yeah, Mag. Glad to see you too."
"You know what I mean."
"I decided not to. How else am I going to pay my rent?"
"Glad you're back."
"Me too."

Meanwhile a visitor walks into The Division for Raina.

"Did you forget something??"
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I meant to call you."
"You didn't want to go dancing with me I guess."
"No, I did. I was all ready to go and then my Captain wanted me to go by an apartment to check on someone and there I found one of my co workers bleeding on the floor. I had to take her to the hospital and I just forgot to call."
"I understand. So will you go out with me Friday night?"
"Well---"
"You'll like it!! I promise you, Raina Washington, you will have a good time!!"

"Ok fine, you don't go out with me? I'll just go to your mother again."
"Alright. I'll go out with you."

Kate walks out of her office and gives Raina, Jinny, and Kate their next case.

"OK. We've got a new case. A visitor at a pet shop found a box of birds dead by the dumpster."
"That's sick. What did the owner say?"
"Said that she has no idea how they got there."
"Well, Mag and I will go over to the pet store and ask the owner a few questions and see if there was anyone who saw anything."
"Good. Raina, you can make a few calls to people who have bought pets from this place and see how the service was."
"Will do Cap."

Jinny and Magda are in the car on their way to the pet store.

"So, what made you change your mind about quitting work?"
"Well, me and the Captain had a nice long talk and we have come to terms."
"Such as??"
"Mag."
"Ok. Ok."
"So, how are you?"
"I'm fine."
"What's up?"
"Nothing."
"You're hiding something."
"No I am not!."
"Mag, how long have I known you? I know when something is up."
"Well, I broke up with Jonah."
"When?"
"The day CD got shot."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I was going to tell you but the whole thing with CD and you quitting I just...I didn't know what to say."
"How do you feel about it?"
"I feel--fine actually. I know that it was for the best and I love Gabe so, I am fine with it. He wants to have more kids. Can you believe that?"
"I can understand that. I mean, he wasn't with you when Ben was born, he wasn't with you when Ben took his first step, his first tooth. Ya know what I mean?"
"I guess."

At the hospital, CD was beginning to remember more but all she wanted to remember is what happend with her and Nate.

"Nate, can I ask you something?"
"Sure. Anything."
"This is going to sound really stupid."
"No it won't. Ask me."
"Did we...How far did...Were we.."
"Are you trying to ask me if we let our relationship continue?"
"Yes, I am."
"The night you got shot, I was waiting for you at that 'Little Italian Place on Polk'. When you didn't show up, all I could think to myself was that you didn't want to be with me."
"I do want to be with you. But it's just--"
"It's just what?"
"We're partners. Our carrers would be in jeopardy if anyone found out."
"I'm willing to take the risks. Everything in life is a risk CD. Let's take some." (they kiss)

Jinny and Magda arrive at the pet shop called 'Pet's R Us'

"Hello. I'm Inspector Exstead. This is my partner Inspector . We are with the SFPD. We need to speak with the owner..Cindy Dallston."
"Of course. I'll get her."
"Good morning Inspectors. How may I help you?"
"Well, you can start off by telling me what happend to those birds by the dumpster."
"I don't know. I am an animal lover Inspector. I have two cats and a dog at home. Why would I want to hurt a bunch of birds?"
"Well, Ms. Dallston--"
"Please call me Cindy."
"Alright Cindy. We weren't asking you or acusing you of having anything to do with those birds. All we did was ask you if you knew anything about it."
"Oh...I don't know anything about it. All I know is what a kid came screaming into the store because he saw feathers sticking out of a box and got freaked out."
"Well, do you know where we can find this little boy?"
"I have no idea. After he saw that, him and his mother went home. They didn't leave a name or a number."
"Alright. Do you mind if we take a look around?"
"Uh...sure. Help yourselves."
"Thank you." (Cindy walks off)
"Do you have a strange feeling she is hiding something??"
"Yeah, I just don't know what it is though."
"Me either."

Back at the hospital...
"So, Doctor, when will I be able to get out of here?"
"Well, your memory loss isn't getting much better."
"Do you really think my memory will get better in this bed??"
"I suppose you're right. In that case you can go home tomorrow."
"Oh, thanks Doctor!!!" I'm sick and tired of being in this bed."

"Hi. How are you doing?"
"I'm fine. Very happy to be leaving today."
"Well, we're working on a big case but Captain said I could have the next few days off to help you."
"It's really not necessary. Are you sure you want to do that?"
"Absolutely. Anything for you. I will go get the attendant to bring a wheelchair."
"I don't ne--"
"Don't argue young lady!"
"Yes, Sir." (they both laugh)

After Jinny and Magda did a little investigating, they called Cindy Dallston into the station for questioning.

"Thank you for coming back in. Do you remember me? I'm Inspector Ramirez.
"And I'm Inspector Exstead."
"Of course I remember."
"We just have some questions to ask you."
"Go ahead ask me anything."
"Well, first of all, we were talking to a couple of people who have been to your store. They all said you refused to sell your pets to them. Please tell us why you refused service to them."
"Inspector Exstead, there was no specific reason why I didn't sell them any of the pets at my store. I just felt that they were not fit to have pets."
"How so?"
"I just had a feeling. That's all."
"Well, why don't you tell us why you have had every person who has wanted to buy a pet investigated."
"I didn't have anyone investigated. That's ridiculous."
"Really? Does the name Marvin Destrom ring a bell?"
"(pauses) Who?"
"Marvin Destrom. A private investigator. See, he told us that you paid him $100 for every person you wanted investigated. And, we found something in common with all of the people that you have turned down. They all have birds. Would you care to explain that to me? HUH?"
"Well, I--I--. I think I would like to call my attorney."
"That's probably a good idea."

Nate helped CD into the car and helped her get settled into her apartment.

"Nate, shouldn't you be getting back to work?"
"Oh, I don't care. I'd rather be here with you."
"I would rather you be here to but you have to go. Captain will be mad."
"Yeah and we wouldn't want that."
"Can you ask Captain a question for me?"
"Sure. What is it?"
"Would you ask her when I will be able to come back to work?"
"I can already tell you right now that you will not be going back to work until you have gotten all of your memory back."
"I can't wait that long. Do you know how long that could take."
"I know. But I want you all better before you start working again."
"But Nate, how would you feel if you weren't able to work? It gets boring after a while."
"Well, let's see how it goes. Deal?"
"Deal."

Meanwhile, Magda couldn't sleep. She had so many decisions to make. Did she want to have more kids? Should she tell Gabe about Jonah? She just didn't know what to do.

At CD's apartment...

"Yes. I remember. Liz she shot me. I shot her first though."
"Oh CD. I am soo happy!! So, then you remmber that day in the park?"
"Of course I remember that day. It was the best day of my life."
"I love you Candace DeLorenzo."
"I love you to Nate..Nate..."
"You don't remember my last name??"
"Just kidding."
"That's not funny."
"I think it is." (they wrapped eachother in their arms) "I love you Nate Basso."

It is now Friday. Raina called off because she wanted to go out and buy a new dress for the date tonight with Johnny. So the Captain had to ask Nate to come into work. Nate was a little worried about leaving CD home alone but she insisted she was alright. So Nate came into work.

"Hi Nate. I'm sorry I had to call you in."
"That's alright."
"How's CD doing?"
"Well, she went home yesterday and I'm goin to be staying at her house until she's better. She asked me yesterday to ask you when she can come back to work."
"You would think she'd enjoy a few weeks off wouldn't you."
"Yeah, but last night, she got her memory back."
"So soon? That's great! Tell her she can come back to work when she feels better."
"Okay, I will."

Nate left the Captains office. Jinny and Magda stopped him.

"Hey Nate. How's CD?"
"She's alright. She came home yesterday."
"That's great!!"
"You should've been there guys. She got her memory back last night."
"She did. That's wonderful."
"You know what Mag, we're going to have to take CD out for dinner to celebrate."
"Sure Jinny. When?"
"How about tonight? Just us girls."
"Tonight's fine with me. I'll call CD now and ask her."

Magda is now on the phone with CD.

"Hello?"
"Hi CD. It's Magda."
"Hi Magda."
"I heard you got your memory back. That's great."
"You have no idea!"
"Well, Jinny and I were wondering if you wanted to go out for dinner tonight to celebrate."
"Sure. What time?"
"7 Ok?
"7:00 is fine."
"Okay. Jinny and I will be by at 7 to pick you up."
"I'll be here. Bye."
"Bye."

Here's more. Sorry I haven't been posting. Beginning of school and all. But I will be posting!!!!

It is 7:00 in the evening and Jinny is waiting in the car while Magda went to go get CD.

"Hi Magda. I'll be ready in a minute. Come on in."
"Thanks. How are you doing?"
"Much better knowing I'm going someplace with friends. I'm ready."
"Well then let's go!"

Meanwhile, Raina had gotten all dressed up for her date with Johnny. He, on the other hand, was dressed in jeans and a green t-shirt.

"Where are we going Johnny? I thought we were going someplace fancy. That's why I dressed up."
"We were going to go dancing but they were closed tonight. So we are going someplace special."
"Where?"
"You'll see."

Jinny, Magda, and CD went to go have dinner at the Anchorside. They sat at a table together and just started chatting and laughing.

This is all I can type for now because my sis is kicking me off. I will be posting more tonight!

Raina and Johnny are in a parking lot. Raina is still very confused.

"Johnny, where are we?"
"Close your eyes. It's a surprise."
"I really don't thi---"
"Just close your eyes."
"Alright."

He helps her into the restaraunt. She smells something familiar but she still doesn't know where she is.

"Raina, do you know where you are just by smelling?"
"I know the smell but I am still not sure where we are."
"Ok. Open your eyes."
"What is this?"
"What do you mean?"
"I thought we were going someplace special. We're at the Anchorside. I come here every week for lunch."
"I know but now you are with me."
"What a change."

They sat down at a table. Raina was upset but not half as upset as she is going to be now. Jinny, CD, and Magda just walked in.

"Great. What are they doing here?"
"What did you say Raina?"
"Nothing. Can we sit somewhere else?"
"Why?"
"Because...it's chilly over here. Let's go sit by that corner."
"Whatever you say."

"Boy I am so glad not to be stuck in that house anymore. I felt like a prisoner."
"Well, I'm so glad you got your memory back."
"Me too Magda. You have no idea what it is like to wake up in a strange place and not know what happend to you."
"So when are you going back to work?"
"Well Jinny, Nate said he spoke to the Captain and she said when I feel 100% better, I can come back. Hey, doesn't that look like Raina over there?"
"Where?"
"Over by that corner with that sexy guy."
"Oh yeah that is her. She didn't tell us she was coming here."
"Come on Magda, let's go investigate."
"No CD. She is probably out on a date. Let's not disturb her."
"Oh c'mon. Let loose a little. Jinny, come with me."
"You two can go. I'm going to stay here and wait for the waitress to come."
"Ok. Let's go Magda."
"I'll be there in a minute."
"Alright."
"Jinny, I'm worried. She never acted like this before."
"Mag, she has been through a lot this past couple of weeks. She needed to get her mind off of things. Let her have some fun."
"If you say so."
"Are you coming Magda?"
"Yes, CD. I'm coming."

Raina was trying very hard to hide from them but she saw them coming.

"Hi Raina. What are you doing here and who is this handsome fellow?"
"Hi CD. This is uh..uh.."
"Johnny."
"Johnny yeah that's right. He is my...date."
"Well hello Johnny. I'm CD. And this is Magda."
"Hi Johnny. It's nice to meet you."
"Likewise. So how do you all know eachother?"
"CD and Magda are two inspectors who work with me."
"Well, it is very nice to meet you both."
