Ok I probably need to do a deƒinition. Cerebral Palsy (Let me find a dictionary. (Oh so heavy! Can’t liƒt! Slams the dictionary on the desk): Paralysis due to a lesion oƒ the brain, usually one suƒƒered at birth, and characterized cheiƒly by spasms. Ok I’m lost. Maybe I should have looked in the Children’s Dictionary instead oƒ my stepdad’s Dictionary that got him through high school and college. (Children’s Dictionary much lighter!) Ah much easier to understand! Cerebral Palsy: A condition in which there is some diƒƒculty in moving or speaking. It is caused by an injury to the brain before or during birth. I like the Children’s Dictionary a lot better. I understand it! Let me stuff the dictionary’s back on the shelƒ then I’ll start posting.

~Jo and Rose’s Apartment in the Bronx~
Rose: Jo! (Bangs on Jo’s bedroom door) Jo get up you gotta be at school in ten minutes!
Jo: Yea yea yea whatever ma. :rolleyes: (Puts her pillow on her head)
Rose: (Goes into Jo’s room) Come on! (ƒlips the light on and snatches Jo’s covers)
Jo: Ma!
Rose: Get up!
Jo: All right all right I’m up.
Rose: You got one minute.
Jo: What! Give me ƒive¿
Rose: Alright but you get to explain to Woodward why your late.
Jo: All right. Get out. (Rose leaves) (In ten minutes Jo comes out oif her room and runs into the bathroom)
Rose: Come on Jo its your ƒirst day of your junnior year and you’re already late.
Jo: I’m ready. (Grabs her cane and they leave)

I know its not much but I'll give you more when I figure out what I'm gonna do with the rest. That's the only part that I know I wont change right now.

~At School~
On the schools clock Jo gets there at 7:59 but on her watch its 8:02. Jo hurries up and runs into the gym.
Jesse: Jo your late.
Jo: Yea yea yea I overslept.
Tess: You made it just ontime their dismissing us. (Jo Jesse Tess and Claire climb oƒƒ of the bleachers and go towards the eight grade rooms)
Claire: Ouick Warhead beƒore class¿
Jo: Lemon. (Kim gives her one)
Jesse: Apple. (Kim gives her one)
Tess: Apple. (Kim gives her one and Kim grabs a Blue Raspberry for herselƒ)
Jo: Let’s check Phil’s room ƒirst. (They walk up to his door and Tess runs her ƒinger down the list looking for one of their names)
Tess: Kim, Jesse, Jo, Mike, Ryan, Tim, Eddie, and me.
Jo: Yes!
Jesse: All right!
Jo: This is going to be the best year ever. (The ƒour of them chew up there Warheads and go into class)
They ƒind ƒour seats in the back that are unocupied Jo sits in the second to last row and Kim sits beside her. Jesse sits behind Jo and Tess sits behind Kim. Mike sits inƒront oƒ Tess and Tim sits inƒront of him, Ryan sits across ƒrom Tim
(Eddie walks in and looks around for one of his ƒriends and finds all three of them by the girls in the back)
Mike: Eddie over here! (Eddie sits inƒont oƒ Jo behind Ryan)
Eddie: Hey girls.
Jo, Jesse, Tess, and Claire: Hey.
Eddie: Any better Jo¿
Jo: I guess so.
Tess: (Whispers to Kim) He’ll never get it.
Claire: Nope.:rolleyes:
Eddie: Hey Jo I sprained my ankle and their putting me in thearpy who should I hope for?
Jo: Lilli.
Eddie: Is that who you see?
Jo: Yep.
Eddie: Thanks. (Turns around)
(Mr.Phil comes in)
Mr. Phil: Welcome to eight grade. This year is going to be a lot diƒƒerent then seventh grade. This class will be a lot harder so will Math, and Social Studies.
Jo: (Claire leans back) No! (Tess,Jesse, and Jo start laughing)
Eddie: (Leans back and askes Jo) What’s so ƒunny?
Jo: Claire’s just gooƒing oƒƒ.
Eddie: Oh. (Leans ƒorward)
The rest of the class goes pretty much the same way except Claire didn’t make any more jokes.
They go through three more classes beƒore lunch. English, Art, and P.E

~Lunch~
(Jo, Jessse, Claire, and Tess are sitting on the picnic table eating and Eddie, Mike, Tim, and Ryan are sitting on the grinding rail.
Jo: Eddie got cuter over the summer.
Jesse: Yea he did. And he’s starin at ya.
Jo: I know he is. (Jo looks up and smiles at him he smiles back and goes back to eating) Now he’s not.
(The guys motion for the girls to come over, Tess, and Claire get up but Jo and Jesse grab them)
Jesse: Don’t go over there! Make them come to us.
Tess: As if that’ll ever happen. (Sits back down) Those lazy bums.
Jo: That’s what we like about them.
Jesse: (Laughs)
Claire: Tess here comes your lazy bums.
Tess: You gotta be kidddin!
Jo: She’s not! Jesse you were right.
Jesse: Told ya so.
Ryan: (Goes by Jesse) Why didn’t you ladies com to us¿
Tess: Jo and Jesse.
Jo: More Jesse.
Eddie: Yea we all know you wanted to come see me. (Joking and everyone knows it because Jo and Eddie like each other but wont admit it)
Secertary over the PA: Remember the ƒall ƒestival dance is Friday. Canatiandets and Represtentavies need to be here by 6:00.
Jo: So we going as a group¿
Jesse: Yep same as the past two years.
Jo: It’s gona be another boring dance.
Jesse: Let’s try to enjoy it it is our last dance.
Claire: We’ll try that’s as much as I can say for.
Tess: Yea. They usually are but I cant wait.
Jo: Ya usually cant.
Tess: I know.

Mrs. Honey: Seating aragment: This table: (Points says four names) (Points to another table) Jo, Eddie, Jesse and Ryan next table. Tess, Tim, Claire and Mike. (Goes through the whole class and soon everyone is seated)



Prolly the hardest part of that was the paragraph on Eastland.

It's been about what 10 days since you posted with no replies. Well here's one, It's great, I love it. Everybody else is probably just too busy to post since they went back to school. Reporter: We interupt this program for a special news bulitan. Seems there has been a break in at a local typewriter store, the guys name is Pol…
Jo: That’s like two blocks away do you mind if we go down there that’s my dad.
Eddie: Sure. (They put down their menus and leave)
~Outside the Store~
(There is a big crowd but Jo tries to get up ƒront to see iƒ she gets to shoot her dad a nasty dissipointed look and then act all hurt Eddie knows her plan and has agreed to play along . The poliece bring Charlie out)
Jo: Dad! (Charlie looks up and sees Jo she looks dissipointed and puts her head in her hands and acts like shes crying and when she does that Eddie puts his arms around her and gives Charlie the “how could you hurt your own daughter like this¿” Charlie catches the look and looks away and is escorted into a police car.
Jo: (Looks up and smiles) Let’s go. Before reporters come looking for us.
(Eddie and Jo ran all the way back to Swienys and used the excuses Eddie ƒorgot his wallet to explain why they leƒt)
Jo: Thanks Eddie.
Eddie: It’s ok, I like helpin ya out.

(They hang out there ƒor about another hour talking and laughing and making it real hard ƒor them to lose each other)

Jo: I missed you too. So you wanna go into my room. I set the TV up in there.
Eddie: Sure. (They go into Jo’s room and Jo sits on her bed and leans against the headboard and Eddie sits beside her)

Jo: Let’s see, 11 o’clock, um Boy Meets World, Brink,
Eddie: Ever seen Brink¿
Jo: No.
Eddie: You need to see it.
Jo: I’ll be right back, (Goes into the closet and changes into her pajamas she comes back in some hawiian print pants and red spagitti strap tank top) All right. (Puts it on that channel and they watch it for a little while after a while Jo starts to yawn and pretty soon she’s asleep Eddie holds her ƒor a while then he lays her down and leaves after he turns the TV oƒƒ and writes her a note and puts it by her alarm clock)

~The Next Morning~
Jo wakes up and sees the note and reads it aloud
Jo: Have a nice rest see you at school Love Eddie. Your so cute when you sleep. (Puts the note down) He’s so sweet. (Gets up and showers and hurries and gets ready)

Jesse: Iƒ I were you I’d go on I’ll tell Eddie and the guys class starts in ƒive.
Jo: Ok. (Heads to her locker as she’s going a lot oƒ the kids are staring at her and not because oƒ the CP. When she is digging ƒor her Music binder a girl comes up to her)
Girl: Are you Jo Polniazeck¿
Jo: Yea why¿
Girl: Are the rumors true¿
Jo: Which rumor¿
Girl: That you and Eddie have you know.
Jo: (Catches on) No! (Slams her locker locking her cane in there that she layed in there so she can get her book and walks away after a ƒew seconds she realizes that she leƒt it in there she turns around and undoes her lock again and grabs in and goes to class.

~In the Band Room~
(Being early she throws her stuƒƒ under her seat and sits by Tess and Claire who are sitting by each other talking) You will never believe the rumor that’s going around about me and Eddie.
Tess: What. (Jo tells them what the girl said)
Claire: Wow.
Jo: Its not true.
Tess: We know.
Jo: Someone had to hear us talking because me and Eddie only told you guys.
Claire: We know. (Jesse comes in followed by Eddie and behind him is most oƒ the class and Jo and Tess go to there seats. Since Jo and Eddie sit beside each other she was planning to tell him but the teacher comes in. She wites him a note explaining everything. They just right back and forth):
Eddie: Wow.
Jo: I think I should get into Eastland.
Eddie: What¿
Jo: I cant take the rumors and I don’t wanna make you put up with them.
Eddie: Iƒ you leve that’ll cause more.
Jo: Iƒ I stay more will come
Eddie:I probably shouldn’t have come over.
Jo: Your probably right but since you did there has to be a way to stop the rumors.
Eddie: The only way to we both wont agree to.
Jo: What¿
Eddie: I don’t even wanna say it.
Jo: Tell me.
Eddie: Stop hanging around each other.
Jo: That’s about as bad as me going to Eastland.
Eddie: I know.
Jo: My hands getting cramped I’ll talk to you after class.
Eddie: Ok. (They stop the notes)

~After Class~
Eddie: Hey you ok¿
Jo: Ok, no I’m not.
Eddle: (Tries to comfort her but she pushes him away)
Jo: Don’t I don’t want anymore rumors ƒloatin around about us.
Eddie: I’m gonna find out who started them.
Jo: Eddie,
Eddie: Jo its affecting us and I don’t want that and its hurting you.
Jo: I’m just gonna pass the stupid test.
Eddie: What about me and the rest of us¿
Jo: That’ll be the hardest thing for me to give up.
Eddie: Oh.
Jo: (Hugs him)
Eddie: (Hugs back and whispers in her ear) I love you.
Jo: (Looks at him and breaks away) You cant mean that.
Eddie: I do.
Jo: I’m Jo Polniazeck girl with a cane. How could anyone truly love that¿
Eddie: I do, you beautiful, smart, funny. I like that. I don’t care about the Cerebral Palsy!
Jo: (Smiles and hugs Eddie) I love you too. (Eddie held her close to him and they would’ve stayed like that if they werent inturupted by the bell. So they quickly dug in there lockers to get the books for next class and then they ran as fast as they could to their next class which was Reading with Mrs. Vicenzi. They got there just in time to were she wouldn’t count them tardy.

~In Reading~
Eddie: Sorry my locker was jammed.
Jo: I helped him.
Mrs. V: Ok, just take your seats and we’ll get started. *I would type in Vicenzi but we all call her Mrs. V so I’m used to this*
(Jo and Eddie find a Table with Jesse and Tess.)
Jesse: Claire took your seat Eddie.
Eddie: It’s ok.
Jo: I’m glad she did.
Mrs. V: Ok I assume you like where you are sitting, because that’s where you are the rest of the year unless I have to move you so iƒ you wanna change switch now.
Claire: Eddie!
Eddie: (Looks at Jo) No. I’ll stay here.
Mrs. V: You want to sit by Jo¿
Eddie: Yea.
Mrs. V: Iƒ Jo’s up to it you can take your chair over there and have you two go over there and Claire go over there.
Eddie: (Looks over at Mike, Tim, and Ryan and then at Jo) I think we’ll stay here.
Jo: (Mouths the word thanks)
Eddie: (Smiles at her)
Jo: Sorry Claire when I leave you and Eddie can switch.
Mrs. V: Your leaving¿
Jo: Yea my moms trying to get me into a school in Peakskill and I gotta take a test to get in aƒter school. If I pass I start up there on Monday.
Mrs. V: Oh.
Jo: Yea I hate leaving.
Mrs. V: I would too. I wouldn’t do it.
Jo: I don’t want to. (Getting tired of being the center of attention)
Mrs. V: Anywho lets get down to business. (Goes through the class and since that was the last class they leave after that and Jo and Eddie walk out to the parking lot together. They see Jo’s moms car and make it as quick as possible and keep it rated at least G because there were some little kids around)
Eddie: Good luck on your test.
Jo: Thanks.
Eddie: I got somethin ƒor ya. (Gives her a quick hug and kiss and she goes over to her moms car)
Rose: I cant wait to get you away ƒrom him.
Jo: What! I like Eddie and he likes me what don’t you like about that¿
Rose: All oƒ it.
Jo: I’m walkin home and getting my bike. (Gets out of the car before Rose can say anything) Eddie wait up!
Eddie: You’re not going to Eastland¿
Jo: Yea just not with mom.
Eddie: Who with¿
Jo: I was hoping you.
Eddie: Go get the bike ready I’ll go home ask then call you.
Jo: OK thanks. (Kisses him on the cheek and goes the other way towards her house)

Right when she gets there and puts her stuff in her room the phone rings.
Jo: Hello¿
Eddie: Jo I can go.
Jo: Great come on over.
Eddie: Where will you be¿
Jo: My apartment its to hot to wait outside.
Eddie: I know, I’ll be there in a minute.
Jo: Ok your driving.
Eddie: Ok. (Eddie goes over to Jo’s goes up to her apartment and knocks in a few seconds Jo comes out in a red spagetti stap tank top with a jean jacket over it and some tight jeans she locks the door then tosses the keys to Eddie)
Eddie: Ya changed. (Trying hard not to stare at her)
Jo: Yea. Lets go we gotta be there by ƒive and I’m not sure where it is. (They leave)
(Around ƒour-thirty they get to Peakskill and stop at a gas station ƒor ƒurther directions)
Jo: (Asks the cashier) I need directions to Eastland School ƒor Girls. (And the Cashier gives her directions) Thank you, (Sees Eddie starin oƒƒ into space and she stands there ƒor a ƒew seconds) Eddie you done yet¿
Eddie: Huh, oh, yea. (They leave)

~Outside of Eastland~
(Before Jo gets oƒƒ the bike she wraps her arms around Eddie’s neck and rests her head on her arm)
Eddie: You going in¿
Jo: Will you go in with me¿
Eddie: Course I will. (They get oƒƒ the motorcycle and go in the caƒeteria door. When they come in Mrs. Garrett, the school nutritionist greats them)
Mrs. Garrett: Hello welcome to Eastland how may I help you¿
Jo: I’m supposed to take the Entrance exam today.
Mrs. Garrett: Your in the wrong building sweetie, aƒter you leave the cafeteria go up the path to your leƒt there will be a big building that says Administration on it go in there and they’ll help you. By the way I’m Mrs. Garrett the schools nutritionist.
Jo: I’m Jo.
Mrs. Garrett: Nice to meet you Jo, (Looks at Eddie) Bates is up the road.
Jo/Eddie: Huh¿
Mrs. Garrett: The boys school.
Eddie: Oh no I’m not trying to get in anywhere I’m just here with my girlƒriend.
Mrs. Garrett: Oh I’m sorry.
Jo: Come on Eddie, the ƒaster I get done the ƒaster we get on the road.
Mrs. Garrett: Where do you two live¿
Jo: Bronx. (She says and leaves)

~Administration Building~
Jo: Goes up to the Secertary’s desk and Eddie takes a seat.
Secertary: May I help you¿
Jo: I’m here to take an Entrance Exam.
Secertary: What’s your name¿
Jo: Jo Polniazeck. (Secertary digs through papers on her desk and ƒinds what she’s looking ƒor)
Secertary: Follow me. (She leads Jo away to an empty classroom and puts the test on a desk along with a few pencils) Bring the exam to me when your done.
Jo: Ok, um wouuld you tell my boyƒriend out there it might be awhile¿
Secertary: Sure (Leaves and Jo starts the test)
(About an hour and a halƒ later Jo comes out and sees Eddie asleep in his chair)
Jo: Here. (Gives the test and pencils back)
Secertary: You should be getting a phone call in the morning or tonight.
Jo: Thank you . (Goes over by Eddie and sits on his lap and kisses him) Hey wake up time to get on the road.
Eddie: (Wakes up when she kisses him) Ok, (Yawns) How long did I sleep¿
Jo: At least a hour and a halƒ.
Eddie: It took you that long¿
Jo: Yea it was hard.
Eddie: That might be a good thing. (Kisses her and they get up and get on the road)

~Back At Jo’s Apartment~
Jo: Do you wanna come in mom has to work tonight.
Eddie: Sure.
(They go inside and sit on the couch and Jo sees a note on the endtable and she reads it)
Jo: We got an hour.
Eddie: Cool.
Jo: Yea. (Eddie puts his arm around her and she cuddles up against him. They start to kiss when the phone rings) Eddie, Eddie stop I gotta get that.
Eddie: (Stops kissing her and she gets up and gets the cordless phone and sits back down)
Jo: Hello¿
Jesse: Hey how’d the test go¿
Jo: Hard.
Jesse: I heard Eddie went with you.
Jo: Where’d you hear that¿
Jesse: Claire saw you two leaving town.
Jo: Oh. He’s over now. Jesse don’t tell anyone.
Jesse: Ok. I wont I know your having a hard enough time.
Jo: Thanks I gotta go.
Jesse: Be careful.
Jo: Whats that supposed to mean.
Jesse: Don’t do anything Jo.
Jo: Jesse! Ew that’s sick!
Jesse: Yes I know but I also know how you are around Eddie.
Jo: Bye Jesse. (Hangs up and goes back to kissing Eddie in about a minute she tries to get him out of his shirt)
Eddie: Jo we’re sixteen.
Jo: Sorry. It’s just I’m so confused right now I’ll probably be leaving on Sunday and I don’t know I don’t want to leave. (Starts to cry)
Eddie: It’s ok Jo. It’s ok, don’t cry. (Holds her for a few minutes while she cries) Can’t wait for the dance tomorrow.
Jo: Neither can I.
Eddie: I cant wait to hold you in my arms and dance the night away.
Jo: I am going to sit out some. I’m not standin’ that long.
Eddie: Can I dance with other girls¿
Jo: No, just like I’m not dancing with any other guys.
Eddie: Deal.

Eddie: 10 till.
Jo: Oh, (Leans up against Eddie and he holds her for about five minutes they start making out when Rose walks in)
Rose: Jo!
Jo: (Stops kissing Eddie) Mom hi, you weren’t supposed to be home till 11.
Rose: 11:05 Jo.
Jo: Oh.
Eddie: I better go.
Jo: You don’t have to.
Eddie: Yea I do.
Rose: Yes he does.
Jo: (Gets up and walks Eddie to the door) Bye, see you tomorrow. (They kiss and after 10 seconds Rose interupts them and Eddie leaves)
Rose: We need to talk.
Jo: No we don’t.
Rose: Yes we do! Whats gotten into you lately.
Jo: Nothing!
Rose: Jo.
Jo: Fine. (Quietly) I was there yesterday.
Rose: Where¿
Jo: The warehouse. Me and Eddie saw it on the news and went to check it out.
Rose: You saw that up close¿
Jo: (Nods)
Rose: I’m so sorry Jo.
Jo: Mom its not your ƒault.
Rose: Your right its your ƒathers.
Jo: I cant argue with you there. How could he do that to us. To me!
Rose: I don’t know Jo. I really don’t know.
Jo: I got to go ƒind something to wear to the dance tomorrow.
Rose: Want help¿
Jo: (Looks at her mom and smiles) I’d like that. (They go into Jo’s room and tear her closet apart)

Jo: What I wore to Grandma Fisher’s funeral.
Rose: Try it on it was only last year you haven’t grown much.
Jo: Ok, (Slips into the dress) What do you think¿
Rose: Looks great need to do something with your hair.

Rose: Down and curled.
Jo: Curled at the ends¿

~The Next Day After School~

Jo: I’m actually going to.

Jo: (Smiles and Jesse comes up to them)
Jesse: Hey Jo what you wearin tonight¿
Jo: It’s hard to explain.
Eddie: A dress.
Jesse: Jo a dress!

Jesse: I cant wait till tonight.

(Claire and Tess come over to them)
Tess: What’s up¿
Jesse: Jo’s wearin a dress tonight to the dance.
Eddie: Yea we’re going to win ƒall ƒestival King and Queen.
Jo: I hope.
Tess: Kaylie’s going with Brett.
Jo: Oh. That makes it harder.
Claire: Brett stooped that low!
Jesse: Obviously so, any gossip ƒrom Tess is usually true.
Mike: Don’t worry I know Brett. He’s going to want to hang out with his ƒriends the whole night and not pay a bit of attention to Kaylie. Eddie: Unlike me, I’m going to be 100% devoted to my girl.
Jo: Guys don’t.
Eddie: Whats wrong babe¿
Jo: I got an 98.
Tim: On what¿
Jo: My entrance exam. (The eight oƒ them grow dead silent until Eddie pipes up)
Eddie: Whats that mean¿
Jo: I… I got in.
Eddie: No.
Jo: I start on Monday.
Eddie: (Shocked) How could you try to fail then get a 98¿
Jo: I don’t know. (Eddie walks away then back)
Eddie: Jo I cant.

Ryan: Let’s leave them alone. (Jesse, Tess, Mike,Tim, Ryan, and Claire walk away)
Jo: Eddie I don’t want to go, I have to.
Eddie: Why¿
Jo: My mom.
Eddie: Whats wrong with things here¿
Jo: She wants me in a better neighborhood.
Eddie: But, what about us¿
Jo: I don’t know! (They’re quiet for a minute) I don’t want to leave you guys. Especially you. (Eddie hugs her tight and she just holds onto him tightly and cries)
Jesse: She’s not going to make it.
Tess: Its killin her. I’ve never seen that girl cry like that.
Jesse: I’ve known her all my liƒe and I havent.
Mike: Think how she’ll be Sunday. Think how we’ll all be on Sunday. Espically those two. She’ll cry all the way to Peakskill.
Ryan: I know.
Eddie: I’m taking you home hopefully your mom can help you because this isn’t doing any good.
Jo: I want you to stay with me.
Eddie: Jo we gotta get ready ƒor the dance and no you are not bailing on me.
Jo: I’m going to be there at eight ƒor the beginning oƒ the dance.
Eddie: Me too. I’ll stay with you awhile then I got to go home and get ready.
Jo: Fair enough
Eddie: Ok. (They get on their bikes and ride to Jo’s apartment)

~Jo’s Apartment~
By the time they got to her apartment. Jo is calmed down but you can easily tell she’s had a hard time and has been crying)
Jo: (Let’s her and Eddie in) Mom! You home¿ (Rose comes into view)
Rose: I’m here. Jo are you ok your face looks awƒul. You told them didn’t you.
Jo: Yeah.
Rose: Well Eddie how’d she take it¿
Eddie: None oƒ us took it too well.
Rose: You two ready ƒor the dance¿
Eddie: Looking ƒorward to it.
Jo: Yea, me too.
Eddie: Do I get to see this dress oƒ yours¿
Jo: You will at eight.
Eddie: Why¿ (Pouts)
Jo: No!
Eddie: Ok. Well I got to go get ready iƒ she wants to be there at eight.
Jo: Yeah I got to go do a lot oƒ stuƒƒ. But at least I have my outƒit ready to go.
Eddie: Bye.
Jo/Rose: Bye Eddie. (Eddie Leaves and for the next hour Jo sleeps then gets up eats, and then runs around the apartment trying to get ready and at eight the doorbell rings)
Jo: Mom! Can you get that! (Jo hollered from the bathroom)
Rose: Got it! (Opens the door) Hey Eddie, Jo’s justfinishing up.
Eddie: Ok. (A few seconds later Jo comes into view wearing a black V neck dress, with her hair all curled and then put into a high ponytail) Wow.
Rose: Jo is that you¿
Jo: Ha ha very funny.
Rose: Its her.
Jo: Let’s go Eddie. (Walks over to Eddie and links arms with him)
Rose: Wait I want pictures.
Jo: I was hoping you wouldn’t.
Rose: I’m supposed to!
(They take pictures and leave)

~At the School~
Jo and Eddie are the ƒirst out oƒ their group to get there.
Jo: Wow what was this years buget¿
Eddie: More then last years.
Jo: Obviously.
Eddie: (Reads the banner above the stage) Dare To Dream.
Jo: What was it last year a jungle¿
Eddie: I think so. (Jesse comes into the gym and only recognizes them ƒrom Eddie)
Jesse: Jo!
Jo: (Spins around) Yea, yea, yea. (One oƒ the class snobs come up to Jo)
Girl: Hey Jo.
Jo: Oh hey Kami.
Kami: That dress is nice.
Jo: Thanks.
Kami: See you two around. (Walks back to her ƒriends)
Jesse: Since when do you own a dress¿
Jo: Since grandma Fisher died.
Jesse: Oh. (A song comes one)
Eddie: You wanna dance¿
Jo:To “That’s what I like About You”¿
Eddie: Yea why not. Just ƒollow my lead.
Jo: Ok. (The go out onto the gym ƒloor a ƒew more kids are out on the floor but petty soon everyone is in a circle around Eddie and Jo after the song is over they sit on the bleaches to Jo can take a break)
Eddie: You were great out there.
Jo: I was followin you.
Eddie: You made it great, and you looked great too.
Jo: Thanks.
Tess: Hey Jess is Jo here.
Jesse: She’s here. Over there with Eddie.
Tess: (Looks at Eddie) Wow that’s Jo
Jesse: Yup you as dissapointed as I am¿
Tess: What’s she done¿
Jesse: You should’ve just seen them dance.
Tess: I missed them dancing!
Jesse: Yeah.
Tess: I’m going to go say hi to Jo see iƒ she wants to hang out.
Jesse: She wont she’s stuck to Eddie like glue remember its their last night together.
Tess: They got tomorrow.
Jesse: She’s leaving tomorrow afternoon.
Tess: Oh, I’m still going to try we’re her friends we deserve some attention.
Jo: So were are the rest of the guys and Claire¿
Edddie: Tim took Claire out and Mike and Ryan didn’t want to come. I came because your leaving tomorrow.
Tess: Hey Jo.
Jo: Oh hey Tess.
Tess: Nice dress.
Jo: Thanks.
Tess: You want to hang out with me and Jesse¿
Jo: (Looks at Eddie) No I’m going to stay with Eddie.
Eddie: Go.
Jo: No this is my last night.
Tess: Yeah, you got eight people you need to spend time with. Not one.
Eddie: She’s right.
Jo: Eddie its our last night.
Tess: It everyones last night with you.
Jo: Tess no I’m staying here. (Tess walks oƒƒ)
Tess: I cant wait ƒor her to leave.
Jesse: Blew you oƒƒ too¿

Jesse: I’m out oƒ here.
Tess: Yeah, me to I cant stand it. (They leave)
(An hour later)
DJ: Hey all you juniors out there! Time ƒor the announcement oƒ this years junior class king and queen is… drumroll please (A few kids band on tables in a rhythm) Eddie Breanen and Jo Polniazeck. (They go up and two seniors pass down their crowns) Now ƒor the ƒinal song lets let Jo and Eddie have the spotlight. But they should be used to that by now. (Eddie leads Jo out to the center oƒthe ƒloor and “Here Without You” by 3 Doors Down starts)
Jo: Eddie, you were right. I cant believe we got it.
Eddie: I can. I’m really going to miss you.
Jo: You are coming over tomorrow right¿
Eddie: I’ll try, I cant make promises on that.
Jo: I hope you can. (Rests her head on his shoulder and he holds her close and tight)

Then will come "Starting Over" which picks up right where "Outsider" finishes and at the beginning of "Starting Over" you pick up on the title "Oustider" and its meaning.

(Jo wakes up in a strange room wrapped up in somebodys arms she turns her head and sees Eddie and then reality hits her. After the dance they went back to the Apartment and Jo grabbed some PJs and they went to Eddies house they didn’t do anything they just didn’t want to separate yet)
Jo: Hey. (Softly nudges Eddie and wakes him up)
Eddie: (Wakes up) Moring babe.
Jo: I need to get home and ƒinish packin.
Eddie: All right. (They kiss once then get up and Eddie takes Jo home)
Jo: So I’ll see you around noon¿
Eddie: I’ll try.
Jo:All right.
Eddie: I’ll be there.
Jo: Ok. (Goes inside and Eddie leaves)

~Inside~
Rose: When I come home at 6 am my sixteen year old daughter isnt home. And she had a dance the night beƒore.
Jo: I was at Eddie’s.
Rose: All night.
Jo: Nothing happened.
Rose: Jesse called. You completely ignored her and Tess last night.
Jo: Are they coming today¿
Rose: All six oƒ them are.
Jo: Seven, Eddies coming.
Rose: No right now six. Tess doesn’t want to come.
Jo: I better call her.
Rose: That’d be a good idea iƒ you were allowed to use the phone.
Jo: What its my last day here.
Rose: So. Go ƒinish packing.
Jo: (Runs in her room and slams the door)

~Later That Day~
About ƒive till noon the doorbell rings. Jo jumps up and answers the door
Jesse: Surprise!
Jo: Hey! Jesse, I’m sorry.
Jesse: It’s ok. (Jesse comes in) So you spent the night at Eddie’s!
Jo: Yeah, but don’t tell anyone. Have you talked to Tess¿
Jesse: She’s coming.
Jo: Great, what about Claire and the guys¿
Jesse: Everyones coming!
Jo: That’s great.
Jesse: Ya gonna cry¿
Jo: Probably I really like Eddie.
Jesse: Yeah, I know.
(By noon everyons there and it’s time to say the goodbyes)
Jo: Guys I hate this!
Tess: We all do.
Jo: You don’t have to say goodbye.
Tess: Yes I do. You’re leaving us. I don’t think you realize how hard this is for us too? Its not just hard on you.
Jo: I know.
Rose: Hurry it up Jo you gotta get on the road.
Jo: (Hugs Tess) Bye.

She goes through and gives everyone ther same goodbye but Mike, Ryan and Tim give her a kiss on the cheek she also give the three of them a kiss on the cheek. When she gets to Jesse she changes the goodbye.
Jo: (Hugs Jesse) You better E mail. *This is present time people!*
Jesse: I will and you better call.
Jo: I know. I hate this.
Jesse: You’ve said that six times.
Jo: I know.
Jesse: See ya Jo.
Jo: See ya Jess. (She turns to Eddie)
Eddie: Finally my turn. (By this time Jo’s crying she started crying when she said goodbye to Tess but now…)
Jo: I love you (Throws herself in his arms)
Eddie: I love you too. We’ll keep in touch. I’ll come visit you and maybe sometimes you’ll come back home for a while.
Jo: Oƒ course I will. You know my e-mail right¿
Eddie: Yeah, you know mine¿
Jo: Yeah, and I got your number. The only thing I need is to stay here.
Eddie: I know.
Jo: (Kisses Eddie and Eddie kisses back)
Jesse/Tess/Claire/Mike/Ryan/Tim: Get a room!
Rose: Jo you need to get on the road.
Jo: I know. (Wraps her arms tightly around Eddie and says through her tears) Bye. (Let’s go oƒ him gets on her bike waves once and goes not wanting to make things any harder then they already were)
