I just got to see Khrystyne and Jory on their respective "Growing Pains" episodes...and they totally went against their usual "HOTC" characters. Khrystyne was a wild party girl (think the prime time version of "Girls Gone Wild"), making out with bikers, burping, hair-twirling...ya name it.

Jory looked totally different on his guest ep. He looked really buff, had a kind of buzz/box cut thing going on, and he also had a little of a goatee. I didn't feel he was overacting at all in this character. Though I really like him when he's nerdy...I found him sexy when he was being bad.

Not too long ago, I saw "A Face To Die For" with Yasmine Bleeth for the zillionth time. Robin Givens was in that...and I notice a pattern in her roles. She is always playing stuck-up, rich black females. She did play a rough inmate at the beginning of "Face," but then she became friends with Yasmine's character and when they got out of prison, they started looking/dressing rich/successful. And not too long ago, while I was looking for a tape to rent from the library, I pulled "Foreign Student," and lo and behold, Robin's on the cover. (It looked like an interesting movie, but I decided not to rent it.)

I saw Howard a few weeks ago guest starring on "That 70s Show" as a guy who worked at a radio station. (Homage to "WKRP.") I know he's 6', but he looked super short compared to Laura Prepon - who I believe is 5'11''. She must've been wearing heels at the time.

I used to watch "Kenan and Kel" a lot, and Dan Frischman is still kind of like Arvid...just sans nerdy clothes/glasses.

i like that episode of kenan and kel where arvid and dennis both own stores that have the annual bagging competition. it was great to see them acting in a show together again.

I am so glad somebody else saw that Kenan and Kel episode! It is my favorite! I thought it was really clever of the wrtiers to put them back together again. They played rival store owners who put their employees in a bagging contest. It would have been really cool if they had been playing Dennis and Arvid, almost 10 years later! (BTW, Dan Schneider looked sooo good!!):eyes:

Man, I need to watch Kenan and Kel more now (I use to watch it often years ago) because that episode sounds great  !! A couple years ago when N@N was showing The Facts of Life (don't really like this show, not sure why I was watching it), I saw Dan Schneider a few times on it, he was still like his same Arvid self on it. :)

Dan Schneider played Dennis and Dan Frischman played Arvid. It was Dan Frischman who was on a Facts of Life episode.

Oops, got them mixed around there, but yeah, that's correct, Frischman was on Facts of Life.

On Game Show Network, sometimes they run the 1988 Win, Lose or Draw episodes with Dan Schneider and Brian Robbins as guest stars. Those two are so funny together. If Dan was up drawing a picture and seemed to get frustrated, Brian would yell "Just keep drawing, baby!" They also talked about how they were working on a writing a new TV show together (unfotunatly, I don't think it ever made the air!)

I had just seen Robin Givens in a movie I rented from the library, called "Foreign Student."

She plays a poor Southern teacher during the 50s, and a French exchange student (who happens to be white) falls in love with her, regardless of how taboo that is during those times.

The movie didn't flow too well (in my opinion), but surprisingly, Robin's acting wasn't half-bad at all. It was pretty decent.

I also know that Brian and Dan used to be Mtv vj's around 1987-1988 but cannot find anything on the internet about it. Can anyone help?

I can't help you with that, but I know I've seen the following.

Brian used to host "Teen Pictionary" around the late 80s-early 90s. I was about 8 or 9 at the time, and it took me by surprise at the time, because he was so nice and supportive...unlike Eric.

Rain Pryor was a "celebrity" contestant on a "special" edition of "Family Double Dare."

Tannis was also a celebrity contestant on "Teen Win, Lose, or Draw." Marc Price (Skippy from "Family Ties") was the host, and he pronounced her last name "Valley" (like valley girl), and asked her if she could talk valley girl talk. I don't remember exactly what was said, but there were a lot of "oh, my gods" "likes" and "totallies" thrown about. (When I saw her on "Child Stars of the 80s" not too long ago, her last name was pronounced with three syllables---like val-le-ly.)

Also, Khrystyne did Pantene commercials close to the end of "HOTC," and she had straight hair. I know there's a copy of that commercial on the net somewhere...I'm gonna find it. I think she looks better with curly hair. (Edited to add: I found the link to the commercials, but the site's under construction.)

OMG I would have loved to see Brain doing that!

It does seem he did a lot of stuff when he was a "hot new star" more then the others...well maybe not more then Robin Givens

I knew I hadn't imagined that. I used to watch that show when I was like 8 or 9.

I heard a rumor that Joher was on "Password" years ago...that was one of the questions I asked him to verify for me.

They've had quite a few shows that made it to the air, if you didn't know Brian Robbins was the executive producer of All That and Dan Schneider was listed first as a producer then co-executive producer. They both also produced Kenan & Kel, Cousin Skeeter, the Amanda Show and the Nick Cannon Show among others. So when it came time to get someone to play Chris on Kenan & kel they just their old friend Dan Frischman. It wasn't the writers idea, Schneider just cast himself in that episode.

On Wed night I just happened to walk in the room while Conan O'Brien was just coming on and I heard them say Billy Connolly was going to be on the show that night so I watched it. I didn't know that Billy was in the movie Timeline untill they mentioned it on Conan's show. Too bad they didn't mention about Billy being on HOTC tho lol. I think that episode of Conan will repeat next Wed night / early thurs morning at 3am, thats usually how it works lol.

I hope I can catch that. If I'm going to be home that day, then I can detach my VCR and watch it (for some strange reason, I can't get NBC when my VCR is set up). If not, then I dunno...

I caught Khrystyne's "Law and Order" episode last night. She was so damn good as this "loyal" ice queen-type doctor's wife. Her character was convincingly cold as ice.

It wasn't easy for me to see it, since I have no cable and NBC is one of the channels I get with the poorest reception. But from what I did see, Khrys looked like she hardly aged a bit (this is the first current thing I saw her in), had her hair pulled back, wore stuffy suits, and was playing the legal system, pretty much.

AWW I missed that!! :( I knew it was coming on Wed night, but I had no way of watching it or taping it cuz I was watching & taping the Billboard music awards instead! I saw there was like a bunch of Law and orders on Wed night too and I didn't know which one LOL. Do you know what episode title Khrystyne was on, so that if it repeats I can watch it then? Anyway, I'm glad that you got to see it tho! :) Thanks so much for telling us about it! Hopefully I can see it soon too.

Kimberly Russell is on Win, Lose or Draw on the Gameshow Network. It airs at noon (central time) every day. These are old episodes, probably from 1988 or 1989. I just caught one today and Kimberly was talking about how all the kids on HotC are very competitive but none are as smart as their characters!

I just found out that Khrystyne Haje and Jory Husain were on a week's worth of episodes of Win, Lose or Draw (probably ones from 1988 or '89). The Game Show Network airs eps. of this program twice a day so keep on the lookout! I know I will!

I heard that Robin Givens is going to be on this upcoming episode of "One on One" Tuesday (2/3, I believe) on UPN. As much as I like supporting the cast in their other endeavors, I don't like "One on One" and may, unfortunately, have to pass on that...

She's playing the romantic interest of the lead male character. (She always seems to play romantic interests on these shows, like she did on "In The House").

I already mentioned that I caught Kimberly Russell in a Lifetime movie a few weeks ago in her own thread...so I'll mention another HOTC spotting...

I caught Leslie Bega in an episode of CSI entitled "Lady Heather's Box." She only had one line and appeared in only one scene near the end of the episode.

I want to go slightly off-topic and bring up a point I made on televisionwithoutpity.com...

We were talking about how former female teen actresses go from being squeaky clean to posing nude whenever they can, and starring in nearly pornographic roles. The point was that we have Alyssa Milano, who did such and now has this big issue with it, to Leslie who also did it, but sees it as an awakening for her.

Point being, seeing Alyssa in "Charmed," Leslie out-acted her with her one line in "CSI" to Alyssa's taking over a whole episode of "Charmed" anyday.
