Oh yea and the lizzie Mcguire movie....although I must confess that i haven't seen it...but I hate the show with a passion and from the trailors I saw it doesn't look promising.

You know how they sometimes say that a movie is so bad that it's good? Well, this surpasses that so that all you can say is that it's bad, bad, bad. There is nothing remotely good about watching this movie.

I think the worst movie I have ever seen is "Tarzan, the Ape Man." It's the one with Bo Derek in it. That movie was cheesy, boring, lacking in action, and an excuse for Bo to get naked. As Leonard Maltin puts it, "If you really want to see Derek unclothed, buy a pinup calendar."
The second worst movie I have ever seen is Irwin Allen's "The Swarm." Allen got way in over his head. The film just didn't have any sting like earlier disaster films. To me it's the worst movie with the greatest cast. Michael Caine, Richard Widmark, Katharine Ross (The Graduate), Richard Chamberlain (Dr. Kildare), Olivia De Havilland (Gone With the Wind), Ben Johnson (The Last Picture Show), Patty Duke Astin (The Patty Duke Show), Slim Pickens, Bradford Dillman, Fred MacMurray (My Three Sons, Double Indemnity), and Henry Fonda (12 Angry Men) round out the cast of a tired old rehash of a disaster film.

That reminds me. Some of the worst movies in the world are on Mystery Science Theater 3000. Here are the worst of the worst:

323 - The Castle of Fu Manchu (This was so bad, it got to Joel and the 'Bots)
421 - Monster a Go-Go (No continuity and no sense. Basically a film about nothing.)
424 - Manos: The Hands of Fate (Arguably the worst movie ever seen on MST3K.)
515 - Wild Wild World of Batwoman (No scrap of plot to be seen. Just mainly women dancing.)
606 - The Creeping Terror (This is a pathetic excuse for a film. Basically an alien creature resembling a mix of a giant caterpillar and a Chinese dragon lands on Earth and start eating people. This creature is so incredibly slow and almost all of the people who encounter it just sit there and wait about a minute for it to eat them. Then they assist the creature by pushing themselves into the creatures mouth/hole/opening. Most of the film is narrated because the sound recording equipment was accidentally knocked into a lake and there was not enough money in the budget to replace it.)
621 - The Beast of Yucca Flats (Right up there as one of the worst films ever made. This film is completely narrated as the entire soundtrack was accidentally erased during postproduction. The narration is just tacky. Coleman Francis, the director, is the narrator and makes it seem like he is just throwing words in there at random. One strange line in particular is, "Flag on the Moon. How did it get there?" Tor Johnson plays the beast and all he does is strangle women. He becomes the beast after being caught up in the detonation of an atomic bomb.)

You know what one of my biggest pet peeves is? It's when people correct another person's grammar. This is not an English class. For future reference, it is rude to correct another person's grammar. This has been happening too much lately and if people continue to do it, I might have to implement a new rule. I'm not singling you out this goes for everybody.

It seems to me like you are singling me out. And you want to know what my biggest pet peeve is, its when people single me out and tell me that im rude for correcting someone. It's also rude to single someone out. How are we supposed to repsond to something we can't read or understand?

Brian
08-15-2003, 09:35 PM
If that is how you feel, then I'm sorry you feel that way and I'm sorry for offending you. This isn't the first time we have had this problem, though, and I needed to say something about it. I meant this for everybody in general not just you but if you don't see it that way, then you can see it your way.

I realize that you do not understand what Lizzie McGuire said but you could have said something like, "Could you please be a little bit more clearer?" instead of using the reply you used. I understand that because I quoted your response it seems like I did single you out but I made that statement for everybody to see. Besides even if I didn't quote you it would probably seem like I did single you out because you made a comment about Lizzie McGuire's grammar to constitute it. Even then, I didn't single you out. Either way, I had to let everybody know that it is rude to correct grammar.

i'm not being disrespectful or anything to you Brian, but if you're talking about my quote in that link, i wasn't correcting Lizzie McGuire's grammar; because it also annoys me if someone corrects my spelling or grammar. i was just asking if he (or she) could be more clear because i didn't know when one of his (or her) sentances was ending, and when one was beginning.

I know you're not being disrespectful. I'm not trying to discourage people from helping other people. I know what someone's intentions are when they correct someone's grammar. They are only trying to help. Lizzie McGuire may be mentally challenged, may not be American, or English may not be his first language. All I am asking is that if someone makes a post that is not coherent, feel free to ask if he/she can make it clearer but don't do something like ask, "Are you 3 years old?", "Haven't you learned how to stop using run-on sentences." or other impolite ways of saying things.

I don't mind the show...I'm watching it right now. But that movie had the most UNREALISTIC plot. It was cute...fun to watch. But I think I walked out of that movie dumber then I was when I went in. I don't know how NE1 comes up with a plot THAT twisted.

Saving Silverman...did anyone LIKE that movie???

Oh, and Mr. Deeds...lord...that was BAD.

Oh, and just to add, about Lizzie McGuire's grammar...sure it wasn't 100% clear, but I actually didn't notice that till I saw what someone said and looked bak at it. I got the picture...

OK, getting back on topic, I just thought of another bad movie. That movie would be Bully. That movie was just pure garbage and I don't care what everybody else thinks. It's a movie about a a group of teens who conspire to murder another teen who is the bully. In that film every few minutes either teens were having sex, performing sexual acts, or just walking around completely nude. I turned it off halfway through it.
