"Nate" CD had to do something she couldnt stand it anymore. Nate turned around. "I lied to you" she wispered. Nate looked at her kinda puzzled so she moved closer to him. "I lied to you about Lilly." He just kept looking at her so she went on. " I am interested....Im glad" she reached up and grabbed his neck and their lips met. At that moment the knot in her stomach went away she felt so calm. <OH MY GOD! Shes kissing me> Nate thought as their kiss deepend. Finally, needing air they broke apart. "WOW" Nate wispered as CD stared at the floor. She had kissed him! WOW was right! Normally she would never have done that but she just got so sick of doing nothing and loosing him to other women. It happened to many times and it wasnt going to happen again. She had kissed him, she cant take it back now. Its a done deal. She was in deep thought when Nate put his hand on her chin and drew her eyes up to him. They stood there a moment just looking at each other then he embraced her. They both let out a sigh. He cupped her face in his hands and said "You wanna go somewhere and talk for a little while" She nodded, and he bent down and kissed her lightly once more.
***Nates House***
The whole car ride had been silent neither of them knew what to say. They pulled up to Nates house and he put the car in park. "CD i hope this is ok i mean i will take you home whenever you want,.... I mean i dont want this to seem like just because i brought you to my house that i want to get in your pants or nothing ok? Nate studdered out. CD looked at him for the first time since they left the hospital. "Nate.. its fine. We need to be somewhere private right now." She said reasuringly as she put her hand on his. He smiled then they both got out of the car.
"You wanna coke or anything?" Nate asked as CD was settling down on the couch. "That'd be great Nate" He handed her a coke then sat down on the coffee table infront of her. She took a few swigs of the coke then sat it beside him on the table. GOD that must of been hard on her! Why was i so stupid and stubborn! I should have made the first move!> Nate streches out his arms and grabs her hands in his. She looks up and their eyes meet again. The knot in her stomach returns. "CD... im glad too" Nate said. "About what" she asked. "About ending it w/ Lilly, about us kissing, about you being in my life and feeling the same way i do. Im so glad about all those things CD, You dont have to be afraid or scared or upset anymore.Its OK now, Its out... I love you" He said as he moved to the couch to sit beside her. She looked up at him and smiled "I love you too Nate" She said as a tear rolled down her cheeck. He reached his thumb up and pushed away the tear before he leaned in the their lips met again. This time it was a deep passionate kiss. She groaned a little letting him know it was ok. He lowered her down on he Couch and they continued to kiss passionatly.

She woke up to the smell of bacon the next morning. She smiled at the thought of what had happened the night before. How wonderful it was. She got out of bed and threw on a rope that Nate had lovingly put out for her and proceeded to the kitchen. "Nate Basso your cooking!" she said walking over to him at the stove. "Yes i am! Im cooking your favorite bacon,eggs, and pancakes" He replied putting his arms around her. "I guess this means i was good last night huh?" she questioned "Hell ya!" He replied handing her a plate. They sat down to eat but couldnt keep their eyes off each other. <If we cant even eat w/ out wanting to ravish eachother how are we suppose to work together> She thought. "listen Nate, We need to talk about work" she said laying down her fork. "Ya i guess we do" Nate laughed. "We cant let anyone know about whats going on w/ us, Kate would reassign us if she found out." CD said hoping he'd be serious about this for a minute. "I know CD we just gotta act like we used to, at least around everyone at the division ok?" "Aight Nate, i think i can do that" He got up to put their plates away and she went after him. She wrapped her arms around his waist and he turned around to do the same. He bent down to kiss her head. "I love you CD" he said. "I love you too Nate" They kissed, the first actuall kiss since they slept together. It was real this time more real than before, this time she was certain it was love.
***The Division***
CD and Nate were sitting across from each other at their desks as usuall. It was now 10:00am and they had been there four hours and noone had noticed anything different. They were both doing really good. But every once in a while CD would feel Nates foot slide up her leg a little. She would stop reading a file and look up at him w/ that "naughty naughty boy" look. She has to admit this is kinda fun. Just then Kate walked up and Nates foot slammed back to the ground. "Inspectors we gotta a call from St. Peters Home, a 17 year old girl that lived their was found dead this morning in a alley in Lakeshire. I want you two to go to St. Peters and question anyone you can about this case" Kate informed them "Ok Cap" Nate said as they both got up and grabbed their coats. They finally got to touch in the car as Nate drove they held hands and shared a few glances.
***St. Peters Orphanage***
"Yes, Im Inspector Basso this is my partner inspector De Lorenzo we need to speak to whoever is in charge at the home please" Nate said as he walked up to one of the nuns. "Yes sir, right this way."She replied. "Yes inspectors i have been expecting you Please have a seat" Dean Charleton said "We need to speak w/ whoever might of known Ally Wingett sir" CD said as they both sat down. "Well her roomate was the one who noticed when she didnt come home last night and she has already been informed Of Allys death. Its very hard on all of us." Charleton said. "Where is her roomate now?" CD asked "Her name is Jo.. Joey moore and i believe right now she is at basketball practice, shes our number 1 player here." The dean replied. "Nate im going to go see if i can talk to her and you keep talking to the dean" CD said as she left.
***St. Peters Gym***
"Joey Moore?" CD said walking over to the brunette playing basketball. "Yes." Jo replied. "Joey im inspector De Lorenzo and I need to ask you a few questions about Ally, your roommate" Jo took a free throw line shot and swished it. "Coach This woman needs to speak w/ me about Ally." Jo yelled to her coach at the side line. "Nope sorry kid 10 more min. of practice gotta get ready for playoffs." Jo turned back to CD who looked puzzled. "Would you mind waiting 10 more min. Coach is really riding my butt about these playoffs." Jo said. "Sure umm I'll just be over there on the bleachers" CD said. "Thanks" Jo replied.

Jo and her coach finished up practice while CD watched. She had to admit this girl was good. She missed one shot out of the whole 10 min. "Its ok Joey, I need to take you down to the station to ask you a few questions about Ally ok?" CD asked. "Ya" Jo said sadly. "I was wondering where you were at" Nate said as he saw CD and the girl aproaching the car. "Joey this is my partner Inspector Basso" CD said. "Nice to meet you" Jo replied.
***The Division***
Nate had gone back to St. Peters to check out the dorm room and see if he could get anything on the case. And CD had Joey in for questioning.
CD: "When did you and Ally meet?"
Jo: "2 years ago when she came to the home, we were both 15 at the time and she had gotten kicked out of the last home she was in so i guess they sent her to St. Peters to get her back on track."
CD: "What was she like when you first met her?"
Jo: "Wild, Hair black, nose ring, devil music the whole works. But after about 6 months or so she calmed down a little. She's come to my games, and we actually started talking."
CD: "When did you notice somthing was wrong last night?"
Jo ran her fingers through her hair "I was done with practice and back to the room around 10 last night and since me and Ally are both 17 our curfew is 11. So i wasnt suprised when she wasnt home at 10. But then at 11 Mrs. Cain came in to make sure we were both in the room and Ally wasnt back yet. I asked Mrs. Cain to give her 30 more min maybe she just got stuck on the bus or something. Ally was never late, Even when she was wild she always made curfew." Joey said quitely
CD: "Do you know where she went?"
"No, outside of the room me and Ally hardly ever talked. She came to a few of my games but she's really a quite girl. I dont understand why this had to happen to her.... She was turning her life around! Why would someone do this" Jo cryed
CD sat down beside Jo. "Joey do you know anything that would possibly help us w/ what happened to her? Anyone else she hung out w/? Did she keep a Diary? Anything..?" CD asked. Jo wiped her eyes "I know she kept a diary in the first drawer in her desk. I wish i knew more but thats about it inspector im sorry" Jo replied sadly. "Its ok, Thank you for your help Joey" CD said as she patted Joey on the back. "Ok..Jo im gonna step right outside and make a phone call to my partner then i'll be right back ok?". "Ok".
"Nate I just dont know Joey has nothing except that Ally kept a Diary in her desk." CD said to Nate over the phone. "Ya i found that, I also talked to the Dean again and he said he wants us to put Joey somewhere safe tonight he doesnt want her to be at St. Peters tonight incase something else happens." Nate told CD "Well where are we suppose to put her?" CD questioned. "I dunno but im on my way their we will talk about it when i get back to the division." "Ok Nate talk to ya then buh~bye" She smiled and hung up.

Nate walked into the Division to see CD sitting at her desk looking at a file. "Wheres Joey?" Nate asked as he walked up to CD. "She went to get a coke, Look at this I've been going through Allys file and it says here she had 8 stab wounds but 3 were on her right leg." CD replied. "Thats odd why would someone stab you in the leg. Well i got this diary maybe we'll find a clue in here." Nate said. Just then CD saw Jo go back into the interegation room. "Where are we suppose to put her its not like she can go into witness protection!" CD said. "The only thing i can think of is if you take her back to your place for the night, then tomorrow we will see how it goes. The man just doesnt want her there he's already got the FEDS all over him about letting Ally out so late." Nate replied "MANNN... I guess that puts off our plans huh?" She said with a grin. "Guess so" Nate replied not as cheery as her.

CD, Nate and Jo walked into CDs house and CD put her coat down. "You want me to run you a shower Joey" CD asked "Sure That'd be great, and call me Jo" she replied. Nate sat on the couch and waited for CD to come out of the bathroom. "Ok shes in the shower now" CD said as she walked into the living room to find Nate on the couch. It had been about 24 hours since there first kiss and she still couldnt belive it. She sat down beside him. "I wish you could stay tonight" she said to him. "Me too but i better go so you can get her settled in." Nate repllied they both got up off the couch and walked to the door. Nate wrapped his arms around her and she sighed. "God its good to feel you aroundme" she murmered "Its good to be around you" he said lifting her face up and kissing her gently. The kiss eventually depened from their built up angst from the day. Needing air the broke and Nate kissed her on the forehead "Night sweetheart" "Night Nate drive safe" They kissed one more time then he left. CD leaned against the door begging him to come back, her body was aching for his touch. Just to hold her kiss her. But she had to take care of Jo tonight. This poor girl lived in a orphanage her whole life and just lost her roomate. CD has to take care of her and figure out what happned to Ally. CD knocked on the bedroom door. "You doing ok? I layed out one ofmy shirts for you on the bed" she called out. Jo opened the door dressed in one of CDs blue button up shirts. Since Jo was considerably smaller than CD the shirt came to about herknees but it would do for the night. "Thanks Inspector" "Call me CD and your welcome, you hungry or anything?" "No im pretty tired though i didnt get much sleep last night" Jo said sitting on the bed "Ya me either" CD smiled thinking of last nights events involving her and Nate. "Ok well i was going to let you sleep in here and i'll be right down the hall in my room ok?" CD said as Jo climbed into the guest bed. Jo nodded her head and CD proceeded to leave the room "uhh CD wait..." "YA?" CD walked back to the bed "What do you think happened at Ally?" Jo said looking at CD sadly. CD sat on the edge of the bed. "I dunno sweetie, these things just happen she could have just been coming back home and some junky got her. But im gonna find out ok, I promise" CD said pushing a locke of brown hair away from Jos face. Jo nodded her head and sighed. "So i was watching you today... You got a mean jump shot" CD chuckled "Thanks, I've been playin since i was 10"Jo smiled "Whens playoffs?" "2 weeks, Coach wants me practicing rain or shine every day 3 times a day till then" "I see, your coach is pretty hard on ya huh?" "No he just wants me to get this Basketball Scholarship thing that the home gives away everyyear to the star player and if we win the playoff i get it" Jo said a little giddy "how much is it? and what are you gonna do w/ it" CD asked "4,000 and IF i get it i have no clue as to what i wanna do w/ it i have to put it on some kind of schooling cuz next April when i turn 18 the government gives me 300 bucks and kicks me out on my butt i gotta get a job and an apartment" "They dont help you find one?" "Nope nothing" Jo yawned. "Ok well im gonna let you get some sleep you holler if you need anything ok?" CD said getting up "Ok.. and CD.. Thanks for everything really." Jo replied closing her eyes.
***The Division***
CD and Jo walked in right as Nate was sitting down at the Desk. "Jo can you stay w/ Nate a sec. i gotta go talk to Kate." "Ok" Jo said sitting down. "Hey Nate Woah! CD you dyed your hair and you shrunk ALOT!" Jenni said as her and Mag walked in. "No.. Im Jo im from ST. Peters" "Nice to meet you Jo" Mag and Jenni exstended their hand. "Were sorry for your loss" Mag said as her and jenni walked to their own desks. "Who are they?" Jo asked Nate "Thats Jenni and Magda 2 other inspectors" Just then CD walked out of Kates office "Ok Jo looks like we can take you back home now, your coach is really excited and said he wants you back to practice as soon as you get back" CD said as she walked over to Jo. Nate got up and started to put on his coat CD put a hand on his arm that sent chills through his body."No stay here and check out the journal, I'll be back later" She winked at him then her and Jo left.
***St. Peters***
CD and Jo walked into dorm 305. Jo turned to CD "Thanks for everything CD I really do appreciate you letting me stay w/ you last night instead of staying here all alone" "No problem Jo, Im gonna go back to the Division and me and Nate will figure out what happened to her ok?" CD couldnt help but hug Jo She felt for this girl who never was loved by a parent or sibiling and now was going through loosing a friend. Jo hugged back then CD left.

Thats what i got so far the case is about to be solved though! DUN DUN DUNNNNNNN! lol well i got definsive driving tomorrow UGGGGGGGGGGGG I dont wanna go! lol I got a speeding ticket! lol Dang cops!

"Did you find anything" CD said as she walked up behind Nate and put her hand on his back. "Ya, There is a guy in here Josh Bines that she talks about alot. He was her boyfriend at the George Douglous home in San Jose. She says they talked at least once a day on the phone and she went to see him a few times. In one entry she describes robbing a gas station w/ him and then getting drunk and doing meth later that night." Nate said pointing to the journal. "Sounds like this guy needs a little visit from us" CD said getting up putting on her coat.
***3hrs later***
Nate and CD walked into the cell. Bines got up and went to the bars "What the Hell are they doing here! Come on let me out!" He screamed kicking the bars CD Grabbed his shoulder and threw him on the cot, "Buddy! pipe down! Your only making it worse! We found the knive in your drawn! My partner and I are pretty sure the blood on it.. was Allys! What do you think?" CD screamed in his face. "I think your a bitch and you got the wrong guy!" bines yelled back. "Well i think we got about 24 hours till the lab results come back and you better pray we do have the wrong guy, cuz if we dont your going down Bines!" Nate said as him and CD walked out of the cell.
***CDs house***
Nate and CD walked into the house and threw themselves on the couch. It had been a long day. Nate looked over at CD, She sensed him looking at her and she turned her head to look at him also. "Hard day" He said "Ya got that right". He moved his hand ontop of hers. "I dont want to think about the case though all i wanna do is be w/ you tonight" She said sitting up looking at him "I agree" he replied taking her face and kissing her deeply. They had been waiting for this all day. Keeping their relationship secret at work was harder than they thought. He stood up and she followed and wrapped her legs around his waist as they continued to kiss they made their way to the bedroom. He layed her on the bed and they broke the kiss to take off each others clothes. Tonight was different CD thought He seems so much more gentle.. taking his time. Not like the 1st night when they did it like animals. "Whats wrong? Why are you acting different" CD asked Nate kissed her "I want this time to last, to feel everything" He kissed her again. She understood. they loved each other and he wanted to show her. The kiss grew deeper and they made sweet slow passionate love. As they both finished and gasped for air Nate collapsed on CD. "I love you CD" I love you" she replied kissing him once more. He held her for the rest of the night. Her frail, trembling, naked body against his was heaven. They were in Heaven. "Idunno but their both acting like they got laid last night. And if Nate did it wasnt with Lilly cuz he broke up w/ her 3 days ago." Mag replied. "Oh my gosh for real" Jinni gasped. "Ya she called me crying saying he said it was because of CD" Mag said looking back at the 2 flirtatious inspectors. "Mag im telling you they hooked up!" "I dunno Jinni just seems weird" Mag said shaking the nasty picture out of her head. CD's phone rang "De Lorenzo. ya.. uhhuh.. Ok thank you." CD hung up the phone "Its him! The blood matched Allys we got the killer! They want us to go down and question him more" CD said Nate got up "well come on" "You go ahead down stairs i'll be there in a min." CD said as Nate left. CD picked up the phone and dialed ST. Peters. "Can i speak w/ Jo in dorm 305 please." Jo picked up the phone "Hello" "Jo its CD" "Hey, have you found out anything yet" Jo asked worried. "Ya, In her journal she refered to a guy named Josh Baines, her boyfriend from the last home she was at, We went to see him and found the knive w/ her blood on it in his drawer. WE got him now. I just wanted to let you know that" Jo fell to the ground and began to cry "Jo its ok we got him, Its over now" CD felt herself getting teary. "Jo i gotta go but i promise i will call when if something new comes up ok?" "aight bye" Jo hung up and ran down the hall to get permission to go into town.
***The Division***
Jo ran in the Division and saw Jinni and Mag at their desks "Wheres CD and Nate?" she askedruidly "Umm their in the Interigation room" Jinni replied Jo ran past Jinni and Mag and Flew open the door to the room. CD was standing in the roomwatching through the 2 way mirror Nate grill Baines for the murder. "Is that him!" Jo screamed running in "Jo! What are you doing here?!?!" CD grabbed Jos arm. "Is that him CD!" Jo screamed again flinging her arm to get out of CDs grasp. Jo went for the other door so she could get inand kill the guy! The door was locked. "open it CD! Open it!!!" "Jo! Stop! You cant do anything! He's going down ok. You just gotta calm down!" CD grabbed Jo and shook her by the shouldes. "Calm down! Calm Down CD! How can i calm down! He killed my friend!" Jo began to cry. She backed up against the door and slid down to the floor. Covering her face w/ her hands as she sobbed into them. CD kneeled on the floor next to her and drew her close to her. "Its going to be ok sweetie Shhh"CD said kissing her on the head.
