I don't remember seeing her or Ken on the show but, now I'll keep my eyes really open.... Tweety 08-08-2003, 09:38 PM Wow, that's very interesting, hawaii ! Do you happen to know, by any chance, if either Bonnie or Ken were given on-screen credit for their appearances, or did they play only bit parts? I'd love to see that episode... hawaii five-o 08-09-2003, 02:02 PM They were both listed in the closing credits. Ohio8 09-02-2007, 11:53 PM I posted these four at both "The Munsters" and "ODAAT" photo galleries. Tweety 09-03-2007, 08:05 AM cool, thanks for posting those! Bonnie was also in some episodes of "Gidget"... those episodes, of course, are in color, but we have the Gidget series on DVD, so I'll see if I can get some pics of her from that. . Thanks again for posting the pics... you can definitely tell it's her, especially with that expression on her face in the last pic, but I'm not sure if I would have made the connection by just watching the Munsters ep itself. When ODaaT first came on, I always wondered where they got Bonnie Franklin from ... I remember thinking "I've never seen her before in anything", but apparently, I HAD seen her before in quite a few shows, I just never knew it... In addition to her appearance on "The Munsters", Bonnie had guest spots in shows such as "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." , "Gidget" and "Please Don't Eat The Daisies" Mikado 09-03-2007, 12:03 PM Talk about high hair  She reminds me of Mary-Lou Retton. (Doesnt look as if she was a redhead back then???) mstewart 09-03-2007, 05:51 PM Wow Bonnie still looked the same in that picture. I understand she walked into Norman Lear's office and that was how she got the part on ODAAT. There was another actress in mind when they put the show together. Tweety 09-03-2007, 06:38 PM Talk about high hair  She reminds me of Mary-Lou Retton. (Doesnt look as if she was a redhead back then???) No she wasn't... I think her hair was brown. I'll track down the Gidget episode and post a pic here Ohio8 09-19-2007, 08:18 PM cool, thanks for posting those! In addition to her appearance on "The Munsters", Bonnie had guest spots in shows such as "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." , "Gidget" and "Please Don't Eat The Daisies" She appeared twice on "Gidget." Here are a few from "Chivalry Isn't Dead." Ohio8 09-19-2007, 08:19 PM These two are from "Too Many Cooks." caladon 09-19-2007, 08:35 PM And in an interesting bit of trivia, in the 80's she went on to direct several episodes of "The Munsters Today." Mikado 09-19-2007, 08:43 PM Scaaaaaaaaaaaary.........She deffinately looks better as a redhead Ireneparalegal 09-19-2007, 09:39 PM I remember those episodes. It was great seeing Bonnie Franklin in shows BEFORE she became well known as Ann Romano. Mikado 09-19-2007, 09:43 PM and before she became a "Where are they now" trivia Q ;) ComedyGuy 10-14-2007, 03:23 PM I remember seeing Ken Osmond on The Munsters not Bonnie Franklin but I probably didn't pay close attention but I will now. catlover79 11-07-2007, 12:22 AM Gee, those are scary hairdos. I loved the way her hair looked on the ODAAT reunion clip show, however. I think red hair suits her better. opus 07-27-2015, 01:17 AM Bump to check out the old Bonnie pics. Bonniegirl 07-27-2015, 01:53 AM Bump to check out the old Bonnie pics. AWESOME Opus!! !!! Thanks for finding this thread and bumping it up! ;) installLSC 07-27-2015, 03:24 AM Talk about high hair  She reminds me of Mary-Lou Retton. (Doesnt look as if she was a redhead back then???) According to an old TV Guide article I dug up, she didn't dye her hair red until she was in an off-Broadway play in 1968. BTW, while we're on early Bonnie roles she appears in this episode around 5:02. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFN7v6FIllY) '80sSitcoms 07-27-2015, 08:16 AM Wow, she looked MUCH better before ODAAT. Her hairstyles after she got it cut after season 1 just never looked good on her. She looks much better in these old screencaps, although I never took to the cleft in her chin (I know some people love those, I just don't, lol). 1960'sTVfan 07-27-2015, 09:12 AM Wow, she looked MUCH better before ODAAT. She looks much better in these old screencaps, although I never took to the cleft in her chin (I know some people love those, I just don't, lol). I disagree, I don't like her looks with the dark hair. I think she looked much better and cuter as a redhead in One Day At A Time. The red hair color fits her just perfectly. I was attending high school when One Day At A Time first went on the air. Some of the dudes I was friends with who watched the show were drooling over Valerie B., but I was different, I had the hots for Bonnie F. They all thought I was nuts.  '80sSitcoms 07-27-2015, 11:27 AM The red hair color fits her just perfectly. The red hair color, yes. The red hair short styles, NO. lol 1960'sTVfan 07-27-2015, 12:51 PM The red hair color, yes. The red hair short styles, NO. lol Yea I'm not really fond of her short hair style either. In the beginning when the show first started, her hair style was cuter. But her red hair color is just right. Bonniegirl 07-27-2015, 01:40 PM I liked her red color. The darker hair on her was kind of plain! LittleRickyII 07-27-2015, 02:21 PM Wow, she looked MUCH better before ODAAT. Her hairstyles after she got it cut after season 1 just never looked good on her. She looks much better in these old screencaps, Sorry, but I completely disagree. I do think her longer hair in the early seasons looked best, but even the short red hair compared to those '60s pics looks much better to me. mstewart 07-27-2015, 03:47 PM I disagree, I don't like her looks with the dark hair. She wasn't as plain looking after that. king of comedy 07-27-2015, 04:39 PM She still looked hot back then. Bonniegirl 07-27-2015, 08:57 PM She still looked hot back then. She actually doesn't look mush older on ODAAT than she does in these pics. ! And the Munsters and Gidget were 10 or so years before ODAAT right? Torgo 11-19-2015, 09:05 PM Bonnie also had a recurring role on Gidget as one of Gidget's friends. Bonniegirl 11-19-2015, 09:14 PM DAMMIT Herman !!!!!! DAMMIT Gidget!!!!! Bonniegirl 11-19-2015, 11:11 PM She looked cute!! I liked her hair. Short but teased up on the top. Very in style in those days! Also a bonus for me! Eddie Haskell /Ken Osmond from Leave it to Beaver was also in this ep! ( I am repeating myself, I posted about Eddie Haskell on "Trish the dish " thread too) ! D-Dey 01-15-2024, 10:15 AM Talk about high hair  She reminds me of Mary-Lou Retton. (Doesnt look as if she was a redhead back then???) Nah, Mary Lou Retton's hair was never that high (I know this is an old thread, but I had to bring it up). |
