For Immediate Release - Quick! How many twists in a Twizzler? What star got his big break in a fast food commercial? What is America’s favorite sandwich? Following the extraordinary success of breakout series, Unwrapped, Food Network has announced the expansion of this brand and will launch Trivia Unwrapped. The game show, hosted by Marc Summers, premieres Monday, August 25th at 9:30PM ET/PT.
Trivia Unwrapped is a fast-paced "question and answer" show allowing viewers to test their knowledge of food pop culture. Summers leads this fun romp through games, quizzes and retro commercials, while playfully coaxing memories and merriment from viewers and contestants. The winner of each episode could take home a variety of prizes including a lifetime supply of breakfast cereal-and cash! Food Network has ordered 52 episodes of the series, 19 of which are slated to air in 2003. In addition, the network will be premiering 49 new episodes and three new one-hour specials of Unwrapped.
"Unwrapped has become destination viewing for many of our viewers," said Eileen Opatut, Senior Vice President Programming and Production for Food Network. "The extension of this terrific brand is sure to satisfy those who have a love for food, trivia and nostalgia."
