This fan fiction was done in roleplay format by myself and CDDeLorenzo... Everyother post is a different person. I begin so then the second is CDDeLorenzo's then the third is mine, and so on....

A camera flashes, and as her eyes readjust she sees, again, the body of a young woman lying lifeless on the ground. Rummaging through her wallet Jinny pulls out the victims drivers license and recites, "Jericka Kelly. San Francisco address, D.O.B. August 15th, 1967." and glances up at her partner that was still leaning over the body examining the marks on her throat.

Magda looked up at her friend. Somehow these cases always troubled her, no matter how many of them she saw. "Anything else? Family?"

Shrugging Jinny glances back down and moves a few more things around in the victim's wallet, "Nah not that I can see. A few slips of paper with phone numbers." she couldn't help but smirk slightly to herself she had done that before. Collected phone numbers of any available, or come to think of it unavailable men she came across. Not that she ever used them the next day after she left their place though. "Maybe we should check out the bar next door." she points behind her with her pen in hand. "See if they saw anything suspicious last night."

Magda nodded. "Good idea. Maybe they knew her too"

The brunette nods, "Or at least seen her." she pulls a photo of the victim from the wallet and glances at it for a second before passing it to her partner. "Husband? Boyfriend maybe?"

"Or brother. Anything's possible. But whoever he is, we should find him." She handed her the photo back. "Maybe they know him too at the bar. Let's go?"

Just then a small oriental woman with a suit moves through the surrounding police officers and under the yellow tape that had been put around, "Good morning Inspectors." she nods to them as they pass.
"Yeah, what a wake up call." Jinny nods, "We'll be back in a few to get your information from her."
Nora nods, "Right. "

The tall blonde walked into the bullpen and smiled at her partner before helping herself to a coffee. She circulated her shoulders a little because her right shoulder was itching a little. Though it was something else, something between itching and pain. More annoying than anything, but it would go away, she knew that.

Having watched his partner's actions he asks, "Everything all right?" with that he stands to grab himself a cup of the watered down Division coffee. C.D. still standing near the coffee pot near the window.

"Yeah." She smiled at him. "And you?"

"Of course, as usual." he smirks as he looks to her placing the coffee pot down again after filling his mug. "Was making sure. Gotta keep tabs on my partner, you know." he adds again and friendly pats her shoulder.

She cringes and flinches at that as that had hurt. "The partner's feeling abused." She tried to joke it off.

Pulling his arm back from the blonde he looks at her, "Apparently you're delicate today." he answers and takes a sip of his coffee. "What's wrong anyway?" he asks as he slowly makes his way back over to his desk across from hers.

"Nothing's wrong." She walks back to her own desk. "And I'm not delicate, I just don't like getting hit"

He chuckles, "Hit? Who hit you?" he asks, "I know I didn't. That's called a pat, C.D." he jokes, but is seriously waiting for her response.

"Nate" She says a little whiney and gives him a puppy look. "I was joking around, okay? I know you didn't hit me. So drop it and get back to that paperwork in front of you. Cap said before she doesn't have all files that she needs she won't let us back out again."

Giving his partner a suspicious look then glances down to his work infront of him, "That's it. We're never going to see the light of day again." he stops. "You want to know why?"

She looks up at him smiling and raises her eyebrow questioningly, curious to hear what insights he had to offer next.

Leaning back into his chair he crosses his arms in front of him with a sly smile, "Because I'm not going to work until you tell me what's wrong."

She openes her mouth and shuts it again and shakes her head. "You're incredible, you know that? Nothing's wrong Nate, Really, I promise."

"Incredible." he grins, "You really think I'm incredible?" he asks again with a smile as he jokes.
Kate then walks from her office heading his question. "Yes, I think you're incredibly behind on your work."

CD smirked at that and pointed her forefinger at him teasingly. "Told ya..."

Nate then sits up in his seat, "I'm working..." he assures as he moves a few papers around on his. "See?" he asks C.D. jokingly as he actually does continue onto his work.
Kate stood behind the man to the side of the Division pushing through some files in a filing cabinet. She couldn't help but smile as he heard Nate's ending remarks to C.D.

"I'm amazed" CD chuckles and gets back to her own work

Walking down the hall of the Sixth floor of the Central Station Police department Jinny and Magda were on their way back in from their call this morning. Pushing the Division door opened Jinny enters first with the case file in her hand and moves straight for her desk.

Magda follows her, looking through some notes she had made. And then looked up to see their captain.

Dropping the file on her desk Jinny then pulls her leather jacket off and settles down on the back of her chair as she sees Kate approaching.
Glancing from the two woman the auburn haired woman asks, "What'd ya get?"

"Female victim, from 67, caucasian." Magda started to tell her

Grabbing the folder from the surface of her desk Jinny turns around and props herself ontop of it and rests her feet on her chair. "We did talked with the bartender next door to where the victim was found. He remembers her being in there late last night to early this morning. He said the regulars may have something to say they all seemed to know eachother."
Kate nods and pulls on her glasses the had been hanging from a string around her neck as she reaches for the case file in Jinny's hand. "Any ID?"

Nodding in response to her partner's word Jinny then continues, "Captain, this is the fifth case of a woman being attacked or killed while leaving a bar in the last two months."
Kate nods as her eyes scan the paper work in front of her in the file. "You think they may all be related?"
Jinny nods, "I'm beginning to. The attacking technique isn't the same in all of them, but the perp could be doing that on purpose. We're going to go back to the bar tonight and question some of the regulars there. Some that may have know Ms. Kelly."
Shaking her head Kate answers, "Why don't
You send some officers down? Have them do the word. Besides if you're right about this we may need some undercover work to be done meaning you and Magda. We don't want your faces to be burnt into their memories."

Magda nodded. "Good idea." She looked over at her partner slightly worried though, wondering if working undercover at a bar was good for her.

Kate nods, "Keep be informed."
"Okay." Jinny replies promptly as the folder is handed back to her as she stands, and then sits back down but this time in her chair. "Mag..." the brunette says as she turns to ask her partner a question then sees her face. "What?"

"Nothing. Just... the undercover thing. You think you can deal with that? Because if you rather not do it all of us will understand."

Her face drops as she hears her partner's voice. It seemed everyone always doubted her, but she holds her tongue knowing Magda had good intentions. Her voice remained low as she answers, "Mag, if going undercover is what we'll need to do. I will because it's my job.." she pauses and then continues. "God, it's my life. What else do I have other than my job? You've got to trust me. It's fine."

Magda nodded. "Jin, you know I do trust you. And I do not doubt you at all. All I wanted to say was if you're not ready yet we can all understand. Okay? No offense, you have my support."

Jinny nods, "Thanks.... can I see the notes?" she asks trying to end the conversation.

Sitting at a booth near the window toward the front of Anchorside Bar & Grill C.D. and Nate were eating lunch together before heading back to work. Light conversation arose from time to time.
Glancing at C.D. plate her partner asks, "So you really think I'm incredible?" he smirks as he takes another scoop of food onto his fork and shovels it into his mouth.

"Huh?" She looked up at him, lost in thoughts and still bothered by her shoulder. Ever since Nate had patted it it had been troubling her. Everything was still fresh.

"Me... Incredible. You said it earlier." he says trying to refresh her memory. He grins as he picks up the drink to his right and takes a sip.

"Oh... yeah" She nodded

Lowing his eyebrows as he looks to her he opens his mouth to ask her again if she was okay...

"Hey would you excuse me a moment?" She got up and walked into the lady's room and removed her shirt and turned sideways a little so she could see her shoulder in the mirror. Everything seemed to be okay. It hadn't started to bleed or anything. but not having it covered anymore felt good.
It should be back to normal again in about 2 weeks if she remembered correctly. But it definitely was worth it. She smiled.

Nate had watched his partner's departure to the bathroom, and sits for a few more moment taking a couple more sips from his ice tea he stands and walks toward the back of the Bar & Grill. Glancing around he doesn't see anyone look he pushes the Woman's Bathroom door open and slips in, but stops as soon as he looks straight ahead again and he sees C.D.'s front side in the line of mirrors that were on the opposite side of the room than the ones she was looking in. She hadn't see him yet, but she was looking at something. Something on her shoulder in the mirror he moves further inside and peeks around the corner his face now visible in the mirror beside C.D. as he sees the tattoo on her shoulder.

CD startles as she realizes he's in there with her. She jumps around and glares at him. "God, you shocked me to death!"

He grins, "Apparently so. You forget your shirt is off?... Nice tattoo by the way."

She smiles at that. "You like it? I got it yesterday"

Nate nods as he moves closer and moves behind her to get a closer look, "Yeah, it's nice. What's it mean?

"Nothing... it's just a heart" She blushes

He grins, "Looks tasty." he replies as a joke waiting for a response from her.

she chuckles. "What? You wanna bite me now?"

Shrugging with a grin he replies, "Could be arranged." he jokes. "It's nice though. Is it your first?"

"No... I have a rose tattoo. Left ankle. Remember? I told you about it."

"Ooh, yeah. " he smirks, "That was you?" knowing it was. He remembered.

She rolled her eyes at him. "Wanna see that too?"

"C.D., I'm a man. I'll see whatever you show me." he laughs.

The clinking of heels on the linoleum floor the bathroom door is opened and woman walks in and then around the wall to see a tall blonde without her shirt, and a man beside her with a grin. "Uh....ummm..." The woman says as she walks by trying not to look at them again.

CD laughed at both Nate and the woman. "Hey this isn't what it looks like."
The older woman shakes her head as she moves into the stall and closes it quickly without saying anything.

Nate comments loud enough for the woman to hear, "I thought this was exactly what it looked like.".........after a semi-long pause he adds, "You're showing me something......."
And another longer pause, "Your tattoo...." he couldn't help but chuckle lightly.

CD blushed big time at that. "Okay fine. You're an investigator, so investigate." She grinned and hopped on the sink and stretched her leg out to him.

"You're right..." he pauses, "It's my job. I have to." his right arm moves so his hand can support her foot as his left hand pulls her pant leg up slightly and her sock down revealing her tattoo. He leans just slightly to study it for a moment as the door opens and Raina's familiar face appears in the mirrors on the other side of the wall from C.D... The African American doesn’t hesitate as she walks around the corner seeing Nate. "Oooh, umm..." she glances from the man to C.D. The first time in a long time that she had been speechless.

CD couldn't help but laugh hard now and hugged Nate, just to bury her face in his neck and trying to mute her laughter.

Nate wraps his arms around his partner as he laughs talking to Raina seeing her in the mirror in front of him. "This is what it looks like......he stops. I mean isn’t..." he laughs. "She was showing me her tattoo." he admits.

CD nodded. "Yeah. We were just.. Tattoo..." She showed her shoulder. "See?"

"Ooooh." Raina grins. "Very nice. I'll um..." she was still at loss of words. "Go over here." she says as she motions to the bathroom stalls as the other woman walks out giving C.D. and Nate a look as she washes her hands in the opposite side of sinks than they were at.

"This really isn't what it looks like!" CD tries again, looking at the woman

The woman finishes quickly and dries her hands and leaves, but the door doesn't quite shut before another walks in. This time it was Captain McCafferty.
The two Inspectors’ could see Kate's face in the opposite side of mirrors as she approached the end of the wall where she'd turn into where the sinks were located.
"Uhhh..." Nate glances to C.D. then quickly grabs a paper towel from the dispenser, "Well...uhh...." he glances at C.D. shirt that was still not on her bareback. "Ummm..." he was at loss of words now. As Kate turns the corner she sees him and then glances to C.D. narrowing her eyebrows not understand the scene she was seeing. Nate glances to the paper towel in his and and to Kate then to his partner, "Well... thanks for the uh....Towel. Men's bathroom was all out." he manages to say.

"No problem... uhhh good luck with the.. towel..." She stammered

" Yeah..." he replies and passes Kate as he leaves the restroom. The heat was off as he made it back down the door a Man had seen him exit the bathroom and had kindly pointed out that he had been in the wrong bathroom. "Yeah..." Nate replies, "I know." he grins, and turns back around heading for his and CD's table by the window pushing the paper towel into his front pocket.
Looking to her Inspector Kate opens her mouth, "What was that all about?"

"Paper towel..." CD says and quickly adjusts her sock and pants again before putting the shirt back on.

Kate continues to look at her inspector. Not sure of what she believes at this moment. She says nothing.

Watching the blonde leave Kate stands in silence for a moment more before shaking it off, and heading for the bathroom stall just quick enough to miss Raina's departure.

Maneuvering the car into the drive thru line of the near by McDonald's Jinny stops at the menu, and glances to her partner in the passengers seat.
"So what'll it be? I'm ordering from the dollar menu myself."

"Hmh, I'll just take a salad. I always feel guilty when I go here without Ben. You know how much he loves this food." She smiled as she thought about her son. "I guess we'll end up here again then tonight."

Jinny chuckles at her partner as the voice from the person taking the order comes from the menu speaker, "Gimme a second..." she says as she scans her eyes back over the menu for the last time, "Okay now I'm ready." she says emphasizing the order 'now'. "I'll take a chicken sandwich. The one on the dollar menu- so don't go trying to charge me for something I didn't order. A salad... " Glancing to her partner she asks, "What size? Medium? Small? What? And you want something to drink?"

"Medium, and a coke, small, no ice" Magda told her how she wanted her choice of lunch.

Looking back to the menu as she speaks, "Make the salad a medium...."
The voice comes over the speaker again, "Would you like anything to drink today?"
"Yeah, A small coke- no ice. And I'll take...a medium coke."
"Would you like fries with that?"
"Did I ask for fries?"
The person replies, "That'll be $7.80 at the next window."
"Yeah..." Jinny says under her breath as she moves up.

"They better not get anything wrong. I hate it when that happens" Magda rolls her eyes. "Have you heard this story about the Fish Mac? Somebody said he had gotten fish poisoning from it and in court they proved that wasn't possible because there isn't even fish in it. I really don't want to know exactly what we're eating here."

Pushing the money in the cashiers direction Jinny looks back to her partner once she gets the change and moves to the next window. Her eyes widen, "That's disgusting, Mag. God, I'm gonna be trying to eat here in a minute..."

"Just be glad you didn't order the fish Mac then." She teased her partner.

With a slight wrinkle of her nose Jinny chuckles, "Believe me, Mag, I am." and just then the window opens and the two drinks are handed to Jinny whom hands Mag hers and settles her own between her legs as she takes the bag of food from the woman at the window.

Magda took everything from her until she had found a parking lot where they could eat peacefully. But as soon as she wanted to start eating her cellphone started to ring. She rolled her eyes and looked at Jinny. "Just our luck, huh?"

"Yeah, tell me about it. We can't even eat in peace anymore." Jinny replies pulling her food from the bag, "Who is it?"

"Ramirez" Magda answered her phone and immediately her jaw dropped and her face went pale. "Oh my god! Yeah of course. I'll be right there. I'm coming to pick him up. Thanks for calling me. I'll be there in 10 minutes." Shellshocked she looked at Jinny "Ben's teacher. We have to go there right away. He's sick. God Jin, I'm so scared."


Nodding as she chewed her bite of food Jinny wraps the rest of it up,and once she swallows replies, "Don't worry, Mag. It's probably just a stomach ache." she assures as she pulls out of the parking spot. Destination: Ben's school.
