Just want to know what's more important to some of the females out there. A guy without a car or his own place? These were two things that females asked me when I graduated college. Do you drive or do u live alone?

Did you not ask the same questions like a week ago? Anyways, I guess a home, because I have a car, and really could care less if a guy does or not. I mean, I guess I could drive him around. A house is more important to me.

I never asked a question about this. A house or an apt?

I don't care so much about his living arrangements. I live with my folks, so if he does too, fine.

The car thing though...NO ONE DRIVES MY CAR BUT ME! So he better not think I'll loan it to him, 'cause I'd make the jerk walk first.

I couldn't care less about a guy living with his parents. I'm only 19, and I'm never out with guys TOO much older than me, so I actually expect them to be living with their parents. As I get older, I will probably expect them to live away. But this is many years down the road.

As far as a car... well, I expect the guy I go out with to have one. So far I've never been in a situation where a guy I liked didn't drive. It's not that I define a guy by having his own car, I just never knew a guy not to have one.

And actually, I expect the car to be pretty decent. It doesn't have to be FABULOUS, but no junkers please.

Hope u don't think a car makes a guy a good catch. But i guess it depends on where u live. I live in the city area where there are cabs every 5 min so i don't need one. BUt if a female lives in the burbs or country then i can see a car being important

That is so true. When you live in a big city, owning a car is really not a high priority. I live in a town with only about 13,000 people and very few taxis, so I expect the guys here to own one. But it doesn't make someone a good catch. And someone not owning a car wouldn't be a bad catch. When I move to a large city someday, I won't even expect it.

When you put these, ??????? after you asked about disease free and straight, I could have sworn you thought Crimson_and_Clover was trying to say it was the most important thing--like maybe you did think she said "most" instead of "more." I know you know how to read, but I did think you misunderstood. I had no idea it was sarcasm.

Well, I also said a car was more important... certainly not more than being disease free or straight! LoL.

Well actually, it's weird to pick up any sort of vibe on someone's confidence when you don't know the person, but then you don't have to be a brain surgeon to read a few of your posts and pick up on it. One time I was going to joke that, if you haven't already, you should go to law school. You ability to argue is great. LOL.

And I think a post of yours yesterday confirmed it. You said you were arrogant up until about a year ago, or something to that effect. I just assume if you used to be arrogant you probably just scaled your attitude down to a "confident" level. Lol.

Yes, but I don't know enough about them to get in the debate. I watched reruns of Good Times years ago... I hardly remember it. I haven't watched it recently. And Maude I've seen occationally when it's aired on TV Land.

It doesn't matter to me, if I like a guy its not about having a car or a house... material things don't matter much to me.

Hmm... whats more important.. car or house? Id have to go with car. You gotta have a car! Im old fashioned so I expect him to do the driving. Not saying Id never drive, but whoever asks who out has to be the driver. Its stupid if he asked wanna go out tomorrow night then said Pick me up @ 8! Or worse.. having his parents drive.

I guess it depends on age. If a female is under 30 then it may not be as important but over 30 is a different story.

Females need to stop putting pressure on men to commit and just let things happen. I'm so tired of females putting a time limit on when they want to be married.

I think it's a good thing if the guy has a house, because if he lives with his parents or something, it's a sign that he'll have a hard time surviving without them. If he doesn't have his own house (like, if he lives with roommates or something), that's OK too.

Car? I wouldn't care so much if I lived in the city and there was public transportation, but I live in the country and I don't want to walk everywhere.

Yeah, pressure is no good. I'll avoid that at all costs. But unfortunately I have set in my head that I need some time limit on marraige. Someday if I don't lose that, it'll end up screwing me over. I know I don't want to be married before 30, but after that I fear I may start getting anxious. At least that's 10 years down the road and commitment now can take a hike.
