Do you think Mork and Mindy only finished the 78-79 season tied with Happy Days for the 3 spot because Mork appeared on Happy Days before Mork and Mindy was created?

Brian 07-06-2003, 07:25 PM I would say it is part of the reason. However, I think the show's humor, comedy, and cast did not have to rely on a parent show to keep it's ratings high. I think the guest appearance by Penny Marshall and Henry Winkler gave Mork and Mindy a HUGE BOOST that season. Brian 07-06-2003, 08:39 PM The first season is the best but it was one of those series that would inevitably get stale after a while like Aunt Esther in Sanford and Son. There was a thread about that a looooong time back. It's probably a few pages down. So since Mork and the Fonz was together twice in 1978, i think it helped the show a lot. |
