Oh my. A couple days ago I was standing in a checkout line reading the covers of tabloids, and one of them had something about RS's brave last days. I thought it was just something false like everything else in those mags. Guess not.

Thats so sad. Last time I saw UM, I was wondering how old he was and how he could be so old and still be alive. I know it sounds harsh, but thats what I was thinking. It's sad and I feel bad for his family right now.

R.I.P. Robert Stack and June Carter Cash. :(

It's sort of scary because celebrity deaths often come in 3's.

This is sad news I always watched Unsolved Mysteries. I had no idea he was 84 I thought he was in his 50's or 60's. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. My thoughts and prayers are also with the Cash family with the passing of June Carter Cash, this has truly been a sad day.:(

I thought so too, but I've only seen him on UM and that was filmed in the late 80's so I think it's funny I didn't think he was older.

I'm so sorry to hear that. He was a great actor. I loved him on Unsolved Mysteries and that Jane Powell movie - okay, can't remember what it's called: A Date With Judy or something like that. I knew he was pretty old - since that movie was from the fifties, but I'm still really sad to hear it. May he rest in peace.

Just looked it up. A DATE WITH JUDY is from 1948. Talk about a long career! We'll miss you, Robert Langford Modini!
