authority that I can come to all of you today and ask a small favor. Easter Sunday, my Mom had a pain in her leg and late that night she couldn't use her leg. Well after a week like that she also devleoped what we thought was a stomach flu. Two more days and she'd had enough and insisted on going to the emergency room. Well, now at noon today (5-2), she's going in to have back surgery. It's been rough here and the only thing I ask is for all you to please keep her in your thoughts. I know I can count on the Chico family and I thank you all for being here! :bighug:

She will be on my prayers,... hope she is better soon.

That's what friends are for we'll be praying and please keep us posted.

Dani I know what you're going through. Something simular happened to my Mom last year. She's still in a wheelchair.

She came through the surgery fine! We both are very relieved! Well, I can't tell you who, but a little angel told me that all of you would be just the medicine for me and I see they were right, as usual! :D
I went to see her tonight and she's doing better. She was up laughing and talking and she appreciates all of your prayers. This surgery went pretty smoothly and she seemed to be in only a little pain. We have to wait a couple more days to find out when she can come home, but I'm working on a big welcome home for her! LOL I'm just so glad that things turned out as well as they did.:clap:

I went today and spent some time with her. She was in a little more pain today, but it's getting better. She will be moving in a couple days and hopefully by then we will find out when she can come home. Until then, we will just be counting our blessings that she's made it this far.:D

Well, I have not so great but not too bad news. Yesterday (5-5) Mom found that she has gall stones. It's not too bad, but she's worried because she only sees it as another surgery. Anyway, I wanted to let you all know that she's still giving it her all. She has been able to walk pretty good lately, so that's a huge plus! :D

I will be praying for her. I had my gall bladder removed many years ago for stones. That was when they were doing the old style surgery. Now they have a method that is less invasive. I hear it is really much better. I hope she is ok.

I'm sorry to hear about the gall stones. Tell your Mom to keep her chin up! Prayers are on the way for you and Mom....

Hope your mom gets thru her new surgeries okay. We are rooting for her...

Just talked to my Mom again and she doesn't need another surgery. Now looks like a week in rehab and she will be back home! :clap: Thanks to all of you!:bighug:

Wonderful news Miss Dani! I hope your mother comes home soon! I know how stressful it has been for you as my mother has been in the hospital also. A very scary and trying time for all of us. Especially when family members are far away to meet with her.

I went to see her today and she's getting a little stronger everyday. Her therapy is going well for now and hopefully in 6 more days she will be home. It's been such a scary time here lately, but I cannot tell all of you how much I appreciate all that you have done. A kind encouraging word goes a long way!;) Thank you!

Well, I went to see Mom tonight and she's doing ok, but we think she may have to stay a little while longer. Maybe in a couple days or so, she will be better. :)

Glad you had a good trip! Don't wanna make you guys jealous but on Sun we got to Nags Head for almost 2 weeks on our annual go there & stay with my folks at a condo they have there & when they aren't staying in it it gets rented to tourists. I'll have my laptop with me so I can keep up with things.

Got home yesterday around noon. Still have a long road ahead of us, but at least she's finally home. Thank you all so very much fo being so supportive. I truly do appreciate you taking the time to try to make me feel better about all of this! :bighug:

I'm sorry I haven't updated anymore, but I've been busy tending to her. She's doing pretty good now that she's home. Still a little sore, but she moves around pretty well. We're hoping she will be up and about in a little while because my sister is coming home. Can't wait for that! :lol: I apologize for not saying this sooner, but thank you all for asking and I know Mom would like to thank you all for your prayers and support! ;)
