View Full Version : The Predictions for the Eastern NBA Playoffs
TVFactFan 04-17-2003, 05:21 PM Detriot will beat Orlando 4-0 or 4-1 because Orlando depends on tracy too much and they have no Center.
Philadelphia will beat The Hornets either 4-1 or 4-2 because the Hornets have no good jump shooters and can't run the floor as fast as the sixers.
Mlwaukee will beat the Nets 4-2 or 4-3 because Jason Kidd has a weird supporting cast who are not good jump shooters just slashers.
Indiana will beat Boston 4-1 or 4-2 because the Celtics have no center and only two players-Pierce and Walker.
Pavan 04-17-2003, 06:23 PM ROUND 1
EAST:
1. Detroit vs. 8. Orlando = Detroit in 6.
2. New Jersey vs. 7. Milwaukee = New Jersey in 6.
3. Indiana vs. 6. Boston = Indiana in 6.
4. Philadelphia vs. 5. New Orleans = New Orleans in 7.
WEST:
1. San Antonio vs. Phoenix = San Antonio in 5.
2. Sacramento vs. Utah = Sacramento in 5.
3. Dallas vs. Portland = Portland in 7.
4. Minnesota vs. LA Lakers = LA Lakers in 6.
I wanted to see the Dallas/Lakers match, I think Dallas could have beat LA in 7. Dallas does not play well against Portland.
So that means, my bets for Round 2 will have Detroit vs. New Orleans and New Jersey vs. Indiana in the east. In the west San Antonio vs. Lakers and Sacramento vs. Portland.
My round round 3 bets are NJ vs. Detroit and Lakers and Sacramento.
NBA Finals: NJ and Sacramento. Sorry LA, I don't think they can beat Sacramento. I want NJ to win it all, but I think Sacramento will win it all.
The way I want it to be is NJ vs. Portland though.
Swimfan85 04-17-2003, 10:31 PM boston isnt going to lose in the first round!

You keep believing that if you want but the celtics have no other players besides Pierce and Walker-THE END
Brad Russ 04-18-2003, 02:40 AM This is alot more difficult to predict then the Western Conference, because in the Eastern Conference there are no dominating teams. Whereas in the West there are 4 teams that seem pretty much guaranteed to make it to the second round. Those 4 teams are: The Lakers, San Antonio, Sacramento, and Dallas. The Eastern Conference teams are all pretty much on the same skill level this year from what Iv'e seen. Anyway here are my predictions:
Detroit will beat Orlando 4-3
Philadelphia will beat New Orleans 4-2
The Nets will beat Milwaukee 4-3
And Jermaine O'neal will be the X factor in this series as the Pacers will pull it out in the end going 4-3.
I'm sorry to say it, but the only Eastern Conference team I can see that will even have a chance against the Western Conference is Philadelphia. But I may be wrong.
isiahthomas 04-18-2003, 09:02 AM Detroit in 5, New Orleans in 7, Indiana in 5, Milwaukee in 7.

Ok then i will send you a private message when the celtics lose game one-LOL
isiahthomas 04-19-2003, 09:14 PM Solomon i think we both better shut up cause Boston beat Indiana today 103-100. Paul Pierce had 40 points. I'm still going with the Pacers but this is a shocker. New Jersey beat the Bucks today 109-96. Jason Kidd had 14 points & 14 assists. Gary Payton only had 8 points.
Swimfan85 04-19-2003, 09:26 PM hahah, yah SOLOMON feel good...the celtics won :):) I love Paul!!!

I see now that Pierce cannot be taken has a joke. He never gave up and it paid off. When the Celtics were dowm by 1 late in the 4th, i knew that pierce was going for the three-ponter but it was a VERY DUMB SHOT because if he had missed everyone would have blamed the coach for not setting up a play for a regular 2-point basket that would have still won the game.

Actully, I remember ESPN saying that 79% of the time, the team that wins game one goes on to win the series. I think the C's and Pacers will go 7 games, with the C's winning.

All I have to say is that you sure don't know what your talking about. Try watching games rather than just looking at the scores and highlights on ESPN.
Weird supporting cast? This team made the NBA Finals, and will make it again.
If these two teams do go seven, the Celtics will pull it out.

Calm down Pav it's only Game One-they have to beat the Bucks three more times. And we all now the Nets are the Cavs on the Road
isiahthomas 04-20-2003, 08:11 AM If it wasn't for Paul, the Celtics wouldn't have won yesterday. Paul is a big key to Boston's success. Remember when he got stabbed at a pool hall in Boston last summer? I didn't think he was gonna make it. They said he had got stabbed & beat up pretty bad. They think the rap group Made Men from Boston had something to do with it. Benzino is in Made Men. Eric Williams surprisingly had 18 points for Boston yesterday. It's about time somebody else stepped up besides Walker & Pierce. Tony Delk had 12 points. JR Bremer didn't play that much. Reggie Miller gotta do better than 13 points if Indiana expects to win this series. Isiah needs to play Ron Mercer a lot more & Al Harrington had a bad game yesterday. He only had 2 points on 1-8 shooting from the field.

Well whenever you get back you will see your 1 page email from me about the Celtics losing the series.LOL
isiahthomas 04-20-2003, 03:50 PM Milwaukee's players Payton, Cassell, Jason Caffey turned themselves in yesterday after the Nets game. They went to Toronto & turned themselves in to police about a altercation that happened at a strip club in Toronto with a woman. One of the players got into a argument with a woman at the club. They didn't mention which player was arguing with her. Her boyfriend got involved & now Gary has 3 counts of assault against him, Cassell has 2 counts & Jason has 1 count against him. They go to court next month i think. Ain't nothin gonna happen to them. They're probably gonna pay a fine & do some community service. Boy i tell u, u would think Payton & Cassell would be old enough to know not to get into a damn argument with somebody at a club cause they know these ignorant ass people out here are out to get them cause they got money.
