I read in a 1975 issue of TV Guide that a gypsy and a preacher was added to give the show Chico and the Man some new supporting characters. Did these additions help or hurt the show?

Did these additions help or hurt the show? Joy 03-23-2003, 09:36 PM Solomn in my opinon I think those charecters, Myklos the gypsy and Reverand Beemis helped the show, especially Reverand Beemis. Some wonderful storylines were created around these charecters, the lottery and the show where Chico filled in as preacher for Reverand beemis they were great!!! No. Reverend Bemis was only in the 1975-76 season. Once he left (without explanation), Della Reese joined the show.
