JethroSimpson 03-19-2003, 01:45 PM I've never watched it before but I've heard it's good. Born2HaveOwnSitcom 03-19-2003, 04:02 PM u should watch it, its hilarious, much better than the office with that smug git ricky gervais japfles 03-19-2003, 07:41 PM Smug....maybe....but The Office was brilliant. Born2HaveOwnSitcom 03-21-2003, 10:29 AM I didn't mind the office, I just thought phoenix nights was funnier JethroSimpson 03-24-2003, 01:36 PM Originally posted by Born2HaveOwnSitcom u should watch it, its hilarious, much better than the office with that smug git ricky gervais Why is Ricky Gervais smug? japfles 03-26-2003, 08:37 AM I see a lot of anti-Ricky Gervais stuff on other message boards and I really can't understand it. The guy is responsible for one of the most original and funny shows in years. Born2HaveOwnSitcom 03-26-2003, 09:38 AM I think The Office is a funny show, I just think Ricky Gervais comes across alot like David Brent, he was ok at first but I think fame has inflated his ego x_Lil_Minx_x 03-27-2003, 09:37 PM  hiya everyone has any one seen Peter Kay live at the top of blackpool tower, i have and i have never laughed so much in my entire life! i think he is brilliant :D Born2HaveOwnSitcom 03-28-2003, 09:50 AM I saw PKTOTT on DVD, it was funny although for weeks after all my family could say was Garlic Bread? JethroSimpson 03-28-2003, 05:49 PM I don't think I've really seen Ricky Gervais being interviewed much so you could be right. It definetly is a great comedy though, I wasn't sure about it at first but after watching a few episodes you get hooked! Simpson_10 08-25-2003, 08:12 AM :yeahthat i've got it on video have you seen all the john smiths adverts Chalkie 08-27-2003, 11:37 AM I just recently got Peter Kay's 'Phoenix Nights' on DVD and have been checking them out. I really like the show and think it's quite funny and well-written and performed. The only thing is that sometimes it's so incredibly HARD to understand what they're saying! I'm in Canada so I lot of the local accents and terms are lost on me and I'm usually really good at the stuff. Also, I was so annoyed that they never included any subtitles on the DVD. That would have helped immensely. Other than that it seems like a really good show. I'm sure it will grow on me more as I watch more episodes.
