Mr. Brolin will just have to get over his loss with somebody else on Capitol Hill.

I didn't know she was really gay. I remember seeing in the tabloids that she was gay, but you know how tabloids are. Well, that's cool. If Portia is really in love with her, I say go for it.

It says on IMDB that Portia was married to someone named Mel Metcalfe..I'm not sure if that would be a man or a woman.

I'm fairly sure it's a man. She may have been resisting it or could be bisexual.
Perhaps she came out late or didn't realize it. Now I'm curious.

Portia De Rossi has never hidden the fact that she is a lesbian. I guess she flew in under the media radar beacuse she wasn't the star of "Ally" and she never did a grand "coming out" like Ellen DeGeneres or Rosie O'Donnell. Since "Ally" folded she has done numerous roles where she played a heterosexual woman, most notably the recent JFK Jr. TV movie, and her stint on "Mr. Sterling."
It sounds to me like she is willing to play it "straight" on TV, as long as they keep on offering her roles.

Hey, I don't care either way what she does in her private life, but she sounds like someone who wants to keep her personal life her own business, and not let her chosen lifestyle dictate what parts she plays on TV or in movies. She was great on "Ally," and she will bring class to whatever sitcom she decides to appear in.

I just wish it wasn't a sitcom with Jason Bateman. C'mon Portia! You can do better than that!
