In the episode when lamont was taking acting lessons, what made me laugh so hard was Fred's reaction when he thought Lamont was choking the white lady on the couch. And then Bubba had the same reaction as Fred, i was on the floor laughing until tears came out of my eyes. Anyone have their favorite?

The funniest scene of Sanford and Son that's my favorite is in the episode Superflyer where Fred tells that guy on the plane to put his cigarette out,and when he gets up,he says,"You Talkin' To Me" and then Fred says, No,no,excuse me,--tells the other guy in the seat next to him--,What's the matter with you, put that cigarette out??? And Fred says, Have a seat there, Moose.

And then in the same episode, Fred says he is having a heart attack and he says, "Oh, I Ain't Gonna Make It!!!" and the passengers look at him and Fred says,"What The Matter With You People,Have You Ever Seen A Person Have A Heart Attack Before??? Then Fred tells Moose, you can watch me have one if you want to.

Another funny scene is in the episode, "There'll Be Some Changes Made" and everybody from Lamont's sensativity group is there and everyone is chanting and massaging their backs and everything and Fred comes downstairs and sees it all,and Fred goes back upstairs and then comes back downstairs with a baseball bat:lol:

I saw the episode Stakeout last night-i can watch that episode over and over. That was my first time seeing it. You know that big cop that was living with the Sanfords wouls hae been a great choice when the Sanford Spinoff started. I just enjoyed Fred's insults toward the Big cop.

Another funny scene was in the very first episode,"Crossed Swords" where they are at the auction house trying to sell the porcelain piece Lamont bought. I like the way that Lamont made all them funny faces and stuff, pulling on his ear, winking, raising his hand to get the price up. When Lamont tells Fred he needed him to go over to the other side of the room, that was when the price was $1500,and the guy raised his hand then and Lamont promised that that was going to be the last time he bid. And then $2000 was said, and Fred making all of them funny faces and stuff. Hilarious:lol:

My two fav's are:

In episode, Home sweet Home: After Fred refuses the offer from the Japanese on buying there property, Fred and Lamont go to there house to speak to there father. When they walk in the house, the Japanese father bows to Fred, Fred doesnt realize this is there way of saying hello, so Fred bows to but he's really looking on the ground trying to figure out what the Father is looking for. Actually that whole scene at the house is funny.

Oh I forgot the other one I had in mind, sorry it's late.

In the episode that has Fred renting out Lamont's room to a pregnant woman and she goes into labor, I could not stop laughing at the scene where the bitchy nurse was trying to teach Fred how to diaper a baby and he kept standing the baby on its head and doing weird things to it.

Another funny scene is in the episode, "Home Sweet Home For The Aged", where Lamont wants to take a tramp steamer around the world, and when they are in the office of the old folks home, Lamont reads off the entertainment for the week at the home. Here's how it went:

Lamont: Look here, this week's entertainment. Monday Night: BINGO. Tuesday Night: Dr. Tolbert discusses the causes and cure of constipation.
Fred: Wednesday Morning: BINGO:lol:

"Hey old timer, what's going on"

"I'm having a fit that's what's going on"

The scuffle Fred and the other old guy almost has is hilarious - especially when the start waving at each other.

Later in that same episode when Fred is in bed reading Ebony and someone is knocking at the door.

"I dont wanna play no shuffleboard, I don't wanna play no checkers and I dont wanna weave no damn basket."

<knock> <knock>

"Would you go away - I'm smoking pot!"

Hilarious

I'm always one for sight gags, so the one where Lamont gets his own place & has that girl over, he puts on the music, trying to look & move all debonair- then *right* before he sits on the bed next to her, he flips the tail of his jacket up- his ass all in the camera! THAT *Killed* me & still does everytime!

Another one is when Fred has the party to raise money for bills & the next morning, Bubba falls down the stairs! I always laugh!

Also, I *think* it's the one where Fred tries to get Lamont to marry the fat girl for the 10,000 bucks. The scene in the kitchen when Lamonts eating & Fred 1st tells him about the idea...when the camera zooms in on Lamont's face, I'm on the floor cracking up!

That one is from the episode, "There'll Be Some Changes Made",and Esther is cleaning the house for them and Lamont tells Fred to say something nice to Esther, and Fred tells Esther."You're overly generaous, every time you open your mouth you show your ignorance. Then Esther slams the sweeper on the floor and says, "That Did It" and they swat each other and that's when Fred grabs Esther's wig and goes out the door with it. Lamont was laughing really hard on that one as they go to the close of the show.

This one is my favorite:

Fred is coming home from a date with a big fat girl, and he's all disheveled...

Lamont: How was your date, Pop?

Fred: We went to see a disaster movie..."The Sound of Music"!

Lamont: "Sound Of Music"? That's not a disaster picture!

Fred: It is when Jackie slips on a candy bar, and fell on me and an usher!!

One of my favorite episode with a whole bunch of scenes that are funny is the episode "The Blind Mellow Jelly Collection" where Fred and Lamont donate the records at the library. I like the exchange in the library where the librarian says,"What Do We Have Here???" and Fred says,"That's my son, that's who we have here. Also when Fred asks him I thought that librarians were always women, and the guy says, not always. And Fred tells Lamont that maybe he was a --waves his hands-- . And when the librarian tells him who his name was,Archibald,Fred says,"You Can Say That Again". And the librarian was listening to the music on the headphones, Fred said to Lamont he couldn't hear us through those headphones, and Fred said, "Personally, I think you're a fruitcake", and then the librarian says, "Marvellious!!!"

Which gets us to the two funny parts when Fred and Bubba go to the library and Bubba is disguised to be Blind Mellow Jelly's son and he says "I Want My Daddy's Records". A near funny moment was when they get back and then Fred hands Bubba both boxes of the records and nearly drops then. The funniest moment was when they get on the truck and Bubba says that he forgot to put them on the truck, and Lamont says,"I Have To Do Everything Myself" and then when the truck backs up you can hear the records breaking and everything. The last part was when Fred had the last record and Fred sits on it. Hilarious episode from beginning to end!!!

In the same episode, I liked when Lamont deepens his voice to make the story sound good and he says that they found them in The Sanford Family Archives: Here's some of the exchange.

Fred: Where did you say you found them???
Lamont:--in a lowered voice--:In the archives.
Fred:--thinking--:Is that anything like a closet???

How about when Lamont fulfills "dying" Fred's request by setting him up with Lena Horne

Lamont: You ready for Lena Horne?

Fred (in tux and toupee): Yeah, I'm ready!

Lamont: You REALLY ready?

Fred: Yeah!

Lamont: Okay, then! (He opens up the door, and Ladies & Gentlemen: Aunt Esther! Only one person in the audience had jumped the gun by clapping his hands as Lamont opens the door)

Aunt Esther: Hello, sucka!

Fred: This ain't my Lena, it's somebody's hyenna! (He turns and shuffles back upstairs)

In the very last episode, that I just saw a few days back, Esther was wondering why Fred was going out every night (he was really going to night school) and suspected that he was seeing a woman. She asks him "Who is she?" and it came out fast like "Whooshee" and it sounded like a sneeze!! Fred says "God bless you!" to that.......Too funny!! And when Fred tells the war story to his step-grandson, and Fred was in a bar during the war, and he hears a beautiful voice coming from the top of the stairs in the bar, and the singer was really Esther!! When Fred sees this, he has his classic grossed out look on his face!!

The episode where Aunt Esther and Fred are handcuffed together was a classic. Especially when Esther asked,

" What do you want on your corn".
God I'm laughing just thinking about it:happyface

Oh Jesus- way too many to list, but one that ALWAYS makes me laugh, no matter how many times I see it is the one where Fred invites the door-to-door sales lady over for dinner & Donna shows up the same night! The look on Fred's face as she's walking in! KILLS me! His eyes bulge & his mouth is wide open!

One (of dozens) funny line Rollo said to Lamont was when he had tickets to some porno movie & Lamont refused to go & Rollo goes- "You don't wanna see this skin flick?? On a Saturday *night*?! Is you a Fool?!" The way he wraps it up w/ 'Is you a fool?!' always kills me!

then fred replies, "And Sammy Davis jr sends his" and starts dancing and falls on lamont, it looked ad libed and on the spot, hillarious:lol:

I Am talking about when he is telling his step-grandson about being captured by germans, and he was Major Fred G. Sanford
("And the G Stands for guts, Guts and more guts"), to quote one of Fred's lines. I don't know where you got Sgt. Gork from, and why do you say that's a boring ep, when I am talking about the same ep. that you were talking about. The one where Esther is singing in German as she comes down the stairs, and fred notices and starts making a face.

I recently saw an s & s episode where toward the end Fred is telling Lamont about writting his memoirs. Just as lamont exits the kitchen ,fred goes to the typewriter and just as he touches the carriage, it goes flying off and fred falls back off his seat. As he stands he clutches his heart. It is soooo funny and I can't help but wonder if it was planned or did he accidentally fall back. I had not seen it in a while and I was on the floor laughing, Classic:lol:

My favorite scene has to be when Fred and Lamont got tested for TB. Lamont misread the letter which stated that Fred's test came back unsatisfactory, Fred stood up and said "I got it", I got it and it's all your fault. You and that damn x-ray machine. Then Fred went over to the drawer and got his glasses and read the letter, come to find out, it was Lamont's results and not Fred's.

Well, I guess that I loved all of the episodes on S&S. The other day I was watching one of my tapes that I taped from TV Land S&S marathon back in January of this year. The episode when Lamont and Rollo were going to be in this movie. Come to find out that the movie was a porn movie. Fred decides that he was going to the screening as well. When the studio got raid by the Po-Poes. The three of them landed in jail. Aunt Esther came to bail them out. Aunt Esther and Fred got into a name calling, dropping them like it's hot match. When Aunt Esther told Fred when I pull your chain, you bark, until then shut your doubled breasted lip up, I thought I was going to die. I understand that that Aunt Esther and Fred were friends from back in the day, but that match on that episode was as real as real can be. They were feeling that dozen thing fo' sho'. Check it out one day, folks!!!

One of the funniest scenes on Sanford and Son is in the episode "Fred's Cheating Heart" where Lamont takes Fred to the hospital for an EKG test and Fred changes medical charts with the other guy in his room. Come to find out,it was a guy who was going to have his hemorahoids removed. It was very hilarious when Fred found out and how he ran out of the hospital when he knew what the word hemorahoids was when he told about it after he came home from the hospital.

There are so many hilarious ones! I love the one where Fred and Lamont are in the bank and the 2 guys are robbing it and one of them is one of Lamont's old friends from high school and then they want a cop to come in without weapons or pants or whatever and that white cop, I think his name is "Hoppy" comes in with his boxers on with hearts all over them and his socks and shoes on, OMG I ROFLMAO every time I see that ep!
