View Full Version : 1990's sitcoms White_Daisy 02-03-2003, 11:20 PM How come very few of the boards in the 1990's sitcoms section have reached over 1000 posts? I like (or have watched) so many of those shows, but there's no point in posting there if you'll get no replies. Brian Damage 02-04-2003, 04:51 PM I still post there. Especially on the Seinfeld board. However, other than a few shows there aren't many real great shows from the 90's. IMO dlemond 02-04-2003, 05:06 PM I think it has to do with the fact that of all the decades (from 60's onward) in syndication, the 1990's have the least represented in reruns on TV at this moment (excluding current shows that started then). Why? I can think of 3 reasons. 1. Nostalgia- as we get further away from the other decades, we long for them more. The 1990's is still too fresh. 2. The quality of shows is not as great. 3. Many current shows that started in the late 90's are now able to be syndicated and are taking up space- Everybody Loves Raymond, Friends, Will and Grace, That '70s Show, Just Shoot Me, Drew Carey.
