Guys,
What's up? I have to vent my frustration here. Actually my analog cable channels (2-99) come in fine but the digital tier channels (100 and above) are out. The picture keeps flickering on/off on those channels and it SUCKS!
I called cable and they said that they can't send someone out until Thursday! ****e! We have a brand new digital box and I know damn well that it's a line problem!
Why is it that if you are totally out of service that they will send somebody out right away (as they should) but if only part of your cable is out it takes 3-5 days for service? Damn! They got 1000 employees with nothing to do. Why can't someone just get in their big white truck and come out and replace the line?
Actually, we have had cable for about 15 years and our service has been good with exceptions like these. It is frustrating as ****e when your cable goes out! (or even when PART of your cable goes out!) What are your experiences like with your cable (or satellite provider?)
What I have noticed with several others that have digital cable is that sometimes the station's picture "breaks up in little pixles" intermittently. Several neighbors and friends have this problem, but when it happens it's usually fixed within a half-hour. Once in a blue moon, I have heard reports of a power-surge knocking out digital channels where you have to re-activate your terminal to get them back. Maybe all these things are just pitfalls that happen from time to time with the new technology. We just got upgraded in July. (Our phone lines are crap also so maybe this is a part of the same cause/effect) Sometimes I suppose it's hard to incorperate fiber-optic technology with "outside communications" from the 1950's!
I just want my digital cable fixed!
Jack
