i got probably the weirdest and most disturbing emails from my website today lol
u know about backmasking? the idea that some artists record something backwards in their songs or somethin like that? well this guy claims its in the Cheers theme! he emailed me asking what I thought the words he couldnt figure out were.
i dont have any software or recorders that can play a song backwards, so im hoping someone here does cuz I want to know if this is even close, or even true.
anyway, its something to do! haha
heres what he thinks Where Everybody Knows Your Name, reversed, is (ive edited it a little so his notes at the end are readable. they were all in one big runon sentance):
Me and *Maui's*(1) war near'ever *pa'air gongonomal*
*Ne-ay*(2) see a *lawve*(3) movie
Born *periogonomal-e*
Me and *Maui's* war near'ever *pa'air where we even ommal*
*Ne-ay* see a *onrosal vushka*
He said we can't *even-al*
Yeah, *ge'tsnapshay* war and that
Yeah, no war is all and better that
Oh, good old *weeshmat mus*(4)
Yeah, would a *yishpial*(4) listen to
A little'boy in a *wush*(5)
Zero *wore yurimf*(6) here when he is
*Harkling*(7) at their faces
In this world won the air when we'(8) in
*The entire thing reminds me of Russia or some poor area in Europe during a world war
1. Maui as in Hawaii? who owned Hawaii before US? Is 'Me' like "us"="US"="United States"?
2. Never? Not enough syllables or sounds
3. Law or love?
4. Both remind one of a young 'rascal-type' boy
5. wash? hush?
6. Some kind of money?
7. Isn't 'harking' mean 'laughing at'? Different by just one syllable
8. we' = we're
any ideas, anybody? can anybody listen to it??
Doug
p.s. the weirdest thing is my account is still frozen...
