View Full Version : If Archie guest appeared on Maude or the Jeffersons, which would have been funnier?
TVFactFan 12-23-2002, 09:18 AM The Fact the George and Maude hated the ground Archie Bunker walked on probably would have been very entertaining to see Archie make a guest appearance one of these spinoffs. Just imagine, Florence goes to answer the door, and there is Edith and Archie asking for george and Louise. Same with Maude, Walter answering the door and there are the Bunkers. So In your opinion which would have been a more entertaining episode?
DarleneIllyria 12-23-2002, 07:45 PM That's a good question. I'd say Archie on the Jeffersons would've been funny.
Brian 12-23-2002, 08:07 PM It would be funnier if he was on Maude.
jon123 12-24-2002, 01:16 AM Both would have been hilarious and someday I would like to know why it was never done. I would have loved for Florence to answer the door and see Archie and then ask George "who's this honky?"
mstewart 12-24-2002, 02:02 AM Maude by a longshot. Watching those two is like watching George and Florence, The Jeffersons, when they are going at it.
Moonlight Lady 12-24-2002, 11:52 AM Archie on The Jeffersons. That would be hysterical. Could you see Archie meeting Mr. Bentley and Florence.
jon123 12-24-2002, 01:05 PM When Archie and Edith went to Carol's (aborted) wedding, on the AITF episode "Maude" at least we got to see them in Maude's house, even though Carol was played by a different actress, most of the plot involved her, Maude, and Walter and there were some good exchanges between Maude and Archie. But we never saw Archie or Edith visit the Jeffersons new digs-they only returned to visit the Bunkers in Queens a few times.
Dan Asnis 12-27-2002, 02:15 AM I would have liked to have seen John Wayne visit Archie insted of Maude. Archie star strck kissing up to his hero and Meathead giving the Duke a peace of his mind.
Archie on The Jeffersons would have been hilarious, especially when he met mother Jefferson. They would have had some great zingers for each other. lol

PlayOn 06-21-2007, 07:00 PM Archie on The Jeffersons. And Helen and Tom Willis thought George was though on them. :rotflmao:
Mikado 06-21-2007, 09:32 PM Definately on Maude....my reasons: Archie and George didnt much like each other, but, they were two sides of the same coin, wheras,Maude was 100% Liberal and therefore Archies polar opposite! Not to mention, George would have no doubt gotten a huge kick out of showing Archie how well HE'D made it in the World, whereas Maude would likely not want Archie in her house any longer than necessary.

*ROGER* 06-21-2007, 11:42 PM I think it would be hilarious to see Archie, Edith, Mike and Gloria visiting The Jeffersons in Manhattan. Archie would be so out of his element in that rich, well-to-do part of N.Y.C. But he'd still be shooting off his big mouth! Him and George are so funny! :p

I like the episode of All in the Family when Archie called George Jefferson "112 pounds of hate." LOL!
Yeah, Archie rarely (almost never) had anything nice to say to George, but the same goes for George himself. He ragged on Archie just as much. LOL!
It would also be funny if George's brother Henry was in the fantasy Manhattan (upper east side) episode with George, Weezy, Archie, Edith, Mike, Gloria, Lionel, Florence, Helen, Tom, Alan, Mr. Bentley, Ralph, etc.  :D
