At 20 hours, a bit too long for me. Steven Spielberg is a talented man. Georgia's on my Mind 12-14-2002, 02:33 PM i only saw about 45 minutes of it...but it was good. Somehow I found the time to watch it all. I thought it was really good also. I'm new on the board - it looks like you like the Supranos. I thought the last episode was really good. My husband and I turned it to junkies this year. Janice 12-14-2002, 02:57 PM Originally posted by Montclave Somehow I found the time to watch it all. I thought it was really good also. I've seen every episode. I'm glad you're enjoying it. Some of the past seasons are available on DVD and VHS if you're interested. We sort of created our own message board. It's listed under the drama section. Here's the link. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?s=&threadid=50008 DarkBouchard 12-14-2002, 03:00 PM BORING! Kitt 12-14-2002, 03:18 PM Originally posted by Montclave Did anyone watch the mini series and what did you think? :happyface I looked in on it a few times but I got cold feet. I didn't want to get sucked in to the committment. Twenty hours spread out over several nights seemed like it would have been like a sudden and dedicated relationship. I knew that if I'd watched it the first night I'd have been gambling on getting myself wrapped up in it. I'm sure it was good though. :) TJL 12-14-2002, 03:22 PM Originally posted by Janice I didn't watch it, but my husband did and loved it. At 20 hours, a bit too long for me. I'm sorry, but this show should not be classified as a "mini series." You're two hours short of the usual amount of episodes a prime time drama cranks out in one season. There's nothing mini about that! Still, I hope to catch all of it eventually, judging by the amount of times Sci Fi is rerunning the episodes, it looks like it will become a permanent fixture in thier lineup. CheersChild4life 12-14-2002, 03:26 PM I love it Truth 12-14-2002, 03:46 PM Yep I watched it! (Did anyone actully Think I wouldn't?) Very good... Haha.. you almost forgot the day it was gonna air. :p The miniseries was pretty good. SOme parts were confusing, but in the end, everything ties together. ;) BTW, did anyone make note of the last few phrases of the finale? I want to use a quote for my global essay. That was actully said a couple times as well before the finale I think during the First episode but im not sure, parts 6-10 Reairs Tomorrow at 11am ;) DarkBouchard 12-14-2002, 08:12 PM I don't see how anyone could like it... It was really boring. It had many hours of nothing. But, hey? What can u expect from a guy who made A.I.?? The only thing that was good at all was the little girls acting. she acted better than some of the adults. That's something Steven Spielberg can do, pick out good acting little blonde girls. First Drew, now this girl... First Drew, now this girl... How many episodes and which did you see to make that judgment? 'Cause I have to agree that the beginning of the series was pretty slooow. But aren't all series like that? ;) It gets better towards eppie 3-10. DarkBouchard 12-14-2002, 08:19 PM I watched the premiere. Then, a part of #2, then was all '**** this!' and changed the channel. and, then they were airing part 6 and 7 one night, and I watched it while talking to someone online. And, then part of 9. That would have turned anybody off! The thing about Taken is if you miss one episode then you could be lost for a week! I liked it a lot, but I was rather disappointed in the ending. There was no real closure and they just left you hanging, as if there should be more. Does anyone agree with me that Steven Spielberg could have very successfully made Taken a series, instead of a mini-series? I agree that that girl can really act, though.
