I like country. I like the ones you listed, my favorite being the Dixie Chicks. By the way, they are having some kind of Dixie Chicks special this week. I think it comes on Tuesday on NBC. Check your tv guides to make sure though.

That's exactly how I got turned onto country is because the pop music they were playing just didn't suit me.

Try going to this link to see if That 70s Show is a rerun. It might still be in my range, so just type in your zip code and search the day and what not for T7S

I have to admit for the record that I used to listen to the teenybopper stuff when I was 15. Now it just makes me sick, you know. It just seems to me now that people pay more attention to looks instead of talent. That isn't necessarily the thing in country music. Faith, Shania, and the Dixie Chicks are all pretty- but they have talent too. While in pop, he looks hot lets get him a record deal. It doesn't matter if he has talent, just as long as he has looks.

In middle school, I wasn't really much of a country music fan. All through middle school I listened to 80s music. Everybody would tease me saying that the 80s sucked. In 9th grade I fell into the teeny bopper hole. Stayed in that hole til I was about 16. I'd say that's when I really started listening to country.

I hope the Chicks do the Top of the World song. I love that song.

Just found this at tvnow.com's website:

An Evening
with the
Dixie Chicks

on NBC, 8:00pm - 9:00pm ET

It's been two years since Natalie Maines, Emily Robison and Martie Maguire headlined their own tv special, and folks, they're better than ever. Shot during a sold-out, two-night concert at Los Angeles' Kodak Theater in August, this music celebration features the power trio performing songs from their current hit album, "Home", as well as hits from "Wide Open Spaces" and "Fly". Look out for the harmony queens when they take down the house with their own version of Stevie Nicks' "Landslide".

lol

I did some pretty stupid things when I was young too. Some of the stupid things are pretty embarassing to think about now. It was an unintentional rule of mine to do at least one stupid thing per day.

I still stand by the 80s having some pretty cool music.
