If you do start using the coin over the bill the government will probably make the next bill in line and turn it into a coin aswell, until everything is coins. Here in Canada we had a 1 dollar bill many years ago, then it changed into the loonie, next, our old 2 dollar bill became the toonie, and from what I hear there is planes for making our 5 dollar bill a coin aswell. Oh yes...I've heard about the "loonies and toonies". I've actually got some... But anyways, I don't see many people using the gold one dollar coins the government has come out with. I think most people are saving them because they think they will be worth something one day...? I had about 40 of 'em (my grandfather always gives them to me) and I just traded them in for bills.
