What I mean by Honeymooners-type of format is that the show was essentially a filmed play. This meant that the set was merely a backdrop for the drama being performed. But did television networks and producers basically, stop making sitcoms (at least stylistic-wise) like The Honeymooners (https://www.datalounge.com/thread/36543925-did-the-honeymooners-live-in-a-tenement-) come the late 1950s and '60s? Was it mostly due as technology advanced and production evolved?
