One has to first assume that it would be at 10 p.m. if since the station (https://mtm.fandom.com/wiki/WJM-TV) is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in the Central Time Zone (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Time_Zone). Unless, I'm missing something, did WJM on The Mary Tyler Moore Show only really have (https://www.datalounge.com/thread/36393153-things-on-a-television-show-that-are-never-explained) a 6 p.m. newscast? If that's the case, was it simply because they were the lowest-rated station in town and as a small station, didn’t have a lot of staff?

AS a fan of the show it always seemed to me that their news broadcast was @6, not 10. It seemed like the end of their working day's culmination after coming in bright and early.
