This is kind of confusing to figure out... remember the cop in the pilot? Didn't he ask for Blanche HOLLINGSWORTH? What do you all think? As for the pilot, will have to rewatch it to see when he said her name. Some women go back and forth. Designing Women for example, Julia used Sugarbaker when that was only her maiden name. Anyway I know lots of women who do this, some to keep a check on their own identity. Me I just went the traditional route to keep it simple. As for the writers, come on people, it can't be that hard to keep track of a list of all pertinent info (isn't is called a bible?)! Maybe in the pilot she wasn't a widow and they changed that? Blanche would have had to have been a maiden, since her name was Hollingsworth, and she was getting married... unless she changed her name... |
